Huns, 365 partygirls, friends – lend us your ears! The latest EIC episode is a special one, as we take a look inwards and catch-up with you all. We dive into some of our best pop culture reccs from the year so far, before diving into a Q&A from you. You asked us about our friendship, how the podcast came to be and more...Also, we are taking a speedy two-week break to come back bigger, better, stronger for you. Don't cry because we're on a break. Happy Wednesday, it's time for our weekly chat, wahooo.A recent piece in the New York Times asked Is All of This Self-Monitoring Making Us Paranoid? It was all about wearable health technology such as Oura rings. Oura rings are smart devices worn on the finger that contain sensors so you can track over 20 biometrics such as sleep, movement, body temperature, stress, menstrual cycles and something called daily readiness. They're between around £350 and £500, which I don't believe covers a subscription to data and insights, which is an additional monthly or yearly fee, and they promise to “empower you to prioritise your long term health goals and build healthy habits that will last a lifetime.” The New York Times piece is really interesting, and explores how this kind of data isn't always a gateway to good physical health habits, but can for some people, increase their anxiety and unhealthy body monitoring habits. We get into it and hear from you, the listeners, too!We hope you enjoy, and as always please do follow + review the show on your podcast player app as it helps others to find the podcast :)O,R,B xIs All of This Self-Monitoring Making Us Paranoid? Welcome back EICuties! This week on the podcast, we have to make an apology to an unlikely couple before we get into the long and short of the latest internet discourse- height filters on dating apps, after Tinder announced that they were joining other apps in allowing users to filter potential matches by how tall they are. Are the short men correct that this is blatant discrimination or is it just a harmless preference? Next up we're discussing a social media wedding event after influencer Jaz Smith revealed the spreadsheet and planning that allowed her to post in real time through her recent nuptials. How many TikToks is too many TikToks for the happiest day of your life? 10? 20? 100? We discuss what it means to live a life so heavily online and if anything is really sacred anymore. Hallelujah! You've made it halfway to the weekend. To celebrate: a brand spanking new episode of Everything In Conversation. Corrrrr, aren't you lucky? This week's midweek investigation is all about Justin Bieber's controversial Instagram caption, in which he revealed an argument where he told wife Hailey that she'd never be on the cover of Vogue. The post, which was to celebrate Hailey Bieber being on the cover of Vogue, divided audiences. Some say he's showing growth and accountability, other's have labelled him narcissistic & cruel. With the help of the listeners we go on a conversational jaunt that takes into the heart of bad husbands, via the politics of posting about rough patches and into the land of our own worst examples of male invalidation. We hope you enjoy this episode. If you've read this far- I bet you were a pleasure to teach and always handed in your homework. So here's some more: we really rely on good reviews and ratings to help us grow and keep making the podcast, so we'd love if you could leave us a kind word and a cheeky five stars. Thank you so much. Come hither into our watery lair... we three witchy mermaids want to drag you into our content cave... hehe. Happy Friday. This week on the podcast, at 12:51, we travel to the fictional island of Port Haven, where Julianne Moore swans around in floaty Grecian gowns, rehabilitates birds of prey, and presides over her billionaire husband's palatial home. Meghann Fahy plays Devon, who starts the series coming out of jail and caring for her dad who has dementia. She reaches out in desperation to her younger sister Simone, played by Milly Alcock, and gets no reply. But she does get a fruit basket. She furiously travels down to confront Simone and unexpectedly breaks into her new world, where her younger sister is the personal assistant, really the emotional support assistant to Michaela, the aforementioned ultra-rich wife. Murderous TV crushes, TikTok propaganda and whether the internet has eradicated all our unique personalities. Just another day in content city! From Labubus to organic deodorant, Dubai chocolate to Soho House, hormonal contraception to tattoo regret… what's a psy-op and what's a stretch? Happy Hump day to you and your lovely lady lumps - and lovely lady lumps we shall be discussing! *** Trigger warning, there is discussion of eating disorders, diet culture, exercise addiction and more ***First there was ‘nothing tastes as good as skinny feels', then there was ‘beach body ready', and then there was a brief respite when we were all told that 'every body was a bikini body'. But now, in 2025, it seems that all of those narratives exist at the same time, creating a sort of cognitive dissonance that has us all saying one thing, and feeling another. The current tiktok trend is bikini tax, the price to pay for getting into a cozzy, apparently, is making yourself smaller…So have we really made any progress when it comes to what makes a bikini body? Virgins, Vampires & A Very Demure, Very Mindful dress-code... what more could you want? Happy Everything Is Content day!First up this week, we're discussing a new reality TV show that premiered on Channel 4... and Love Island it ain't. Virgin Island follows 12 adults between the ages of 22 and 30 who have yet to have sex, as they embark on a journey of sexual self discovery on a retreat off the coast of Croatia. There are sex therapists, sex surrogates, group activities, bonding exercises, massages, solo sessions and more. Is it exploitative? Is it heartwarming? Is it too much for our prudish British sensibilities? Listen to find out!Next up, in a very non-French move, there's an anti-nipple vendetta at one of the most glamorous events of the year. One day before the 78th film festival began, Cannes updated the official website to say that ‘For decency reasons, nudity is prohibited on the Red Carpet, as well as in any other area of the Festival.' Is this more conversative-creep? Or is just a reactionary decision based on the Bianca Censori Grammy's stunt? And last but by no means least, Sinners. It's been described as a Southern vampire fantasia and another incredible addition to Black horror. Michael B Jordan plays gangster twins, the “Smokestack twins' specifically, who reconnect with their younger Blues loving cousin, Sammie, who helps them open up a juke joint. But they're soon confronted with the absolutely menacing Jack O Connell, who plays head vampire Remmick. Soon things spiral out of control and it becomes a war between the last remaining few and the growing swarm of vampires. And they've just got survive the last few hours of nightfall. For this mid-week helping of discourse we're asking... are you sick of hearing about your friends' boyfriends? Grab your poison of choice, as it's time for part 2 of our AI double-bill!Last week we looked at AI infiltrating the arts, but this week we look towards society. From friendships, to relationships to our interior worlds, just how much are we already trusting AI to form connections with others? Just call us the American voting public in 2000 because this week we're asking "Bush or no Bush?" With your help we're diving into the discourse vis-à-vis shaving your pubes & asking all of the most important questions: why is 2025 being heralded as the year of the bush, are female pube-plants really on the rise, could pubes be a recession indicator, is hair down there ever unhygienic and just how exhausted are we of our bodily features being sucked into yet another trend cycle? It's a beautiful day to be a human, bathing in the glorious sunshine of this week's heatwave. However, it's also a pretty good time to be Artificial Intelligence... or a bot. This week on the podcast we're kicking off a two part AI deep dive. Firstly, in this episode, we will talking about the recent author protests outside of Meta's London offices, asking whether AI can really make art, and looking at how AI is creeping into our everyday lives. It recently emerged that Meta, the tech conglomerate formerly known as Facebook Inc, which owns Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Threads has scraped millions of books from the pirate data library Library Genesis- more commonly known as LibGen- to use to train its flagship AI model Llama 3.Last month, icon, illustrator and Studio Ghibli co-founder, Hayao Miyazaki, was being copied and mimicked thanks to thanks to OpenAI's latest version of its ChatGPT tool.. His water-colour, hand drawn illustrations truly are so loved across the world and bring so much beauty to those films. As creatives we perhaps have a particularly purist approach to the incorporation of AI into our work, not only from a moral and ethical standpoint, where so many people may soon be out of work, but also from a creative protectionist point of view, where the time and practise and skills needed to create valuable and adored art should be celebrated rather than replicated by machines; but what about in other industries? In education? In schools?Join us next week for part 2 where we will be diving into how the tech's increasingly seeping into our relationships and internal worlds.O,R.B xx‘Meta has stolen books': authors to protest in London against AI trained using ‘shadow library'The Unbelievable Scale of AI's Pirated-Books Problem Why I – and other bestselling authors – are protesting outside Meta todayBen Affleck explains why it's 'highly unlikely' AI will destroy film, claims it may even enhance the industryHayao Miyazaki's ‘disgusted' thoughts on AI resurface following Studio Ghibli trendChristie's AI art auction outpaces expectations, bringing in more than $728,000Does A.I. The sun is shining (emotionally and hopefully literally wherever you are), as it's time for another EIC episode! On Wednesday 16th of April The Supreme Court ruled that the legal definition of a woman is based on biological sex. The ruling sparked a wave of horrendous transphobic discourse. We are appalled and wanted to unpick how this happened, and JK Rowling's role in this abhorrent outcome.Next, The New York Times published a piece on 'money dysmorphia'. Is it another BS term, or a real phenomenon for the over-spending, and money hoarding camps many of us fall into regardless of our finances? Finally, George Clooney has flexed that he and his illustrious wife Amal *never* fight. It's conversation day! This week, we're discussing All Fours by Miranda July, so just to flag, this episode will contain spoilers, so if you're planning on reading the book and don't want to know what happens, maybe bank this episode for a future listen.Despite a great critical reception, the novel has certainly been divisive among readers, and most definitely in our DMs.The novel follows a 45-year-old perimenopausal woman who, after having an extramarital affair during a road trip, has a sexual awakening. It covers themes that we often love to discuss on the podcast, such as relationships, motherhood, aging, mortality, desire, intimacy, identity and ultimately, the meaning of life.We hope you enjoy this special book club episode - please do slide into our dms with any other books you'd love us to feature + talk about. We'll see you on Friday for the main ep,O, R, B xWe will see you Friday :) Hosted on Acast. Happy Friday, happy Good Friday, happy Easter & happy Everything Is Content Day!This week on the podcast we're talking about Black Mirror season 7, The celestial sisters who went to space, & ask whether or not you can be too hot to work.Charlie Brooker's dystopian tech anthology Black Mirror is back for its seven series, and lots of the reviews have been really positive saying it's one of the most human series yet, and a return to its best form i.e. its first season. This one is star-studded, with Chris O'Dowd, Tracey Ellis Ross, Issa ray, Emma Corrin, Rashida Jones and Paul Giamatti to truly only name a few.Next up, in what sounds like an episode of Black Mirror but isn't... Katy Perry went to space… for eleven minutes. She was joined by Bezos's fiancée Lauren Sánchez and CBS presenter Gayle King, who was reported to have said a highlight of the flight was hearing Perry sing Louis Armstrong's 'What a Wonderful World'. We discuss. And finally, we are talking about t-shirts. Okay, not quite. We're talking about a debate which was sparked on X, in part, by pictures of two t-shirts. Here's what happened- on April 8th the writer Ashley Reese tweeted this as part of a wider conversation about women and work. She wrote: “1) women have always worked 2) it's incredible that women are able to be financially independent in ways that were not as common just a few generations ago and I'm not charmed by jokes—especially from other women—about how gainful employment is the worst thing to happen to women.”Is it that deep? Hello EIC-heads, happy Wednesday... let's chat! One two-word phrase has blown up on the internet in the past year - let them. Its creator, Mel Robbins, is a popular motivational speaker and self-help figure. In 2023, she posted a tiktok on the theory, which now has 20m views and an instagram post where she said 'I've just learnt about this thing called the ‘let them theory'. The Cut's review of the book makes a really good point for why ‘let them' resonates with our times - ‘One is that it's catchy and sounds easy to do. Another, more depressing hypothesis: Let Them Theory appeals to passive resignation, placing all real power outside our control. Let Them is easily adopted by people who want to do what they were already going to do while pretending their actions don't really matter, because change is impossible and we've already lost.'She's also been criticised for not crediting the poet Cassie B Phillips, whose poem Let Them went viral in 2022 - i.e. a year before Mel's viral post on it. Cassie has spoken out about the situation on a number of occasions, and believes she's been plagarised. She's even drawn parallels between the theory and her poem, which has lines like ‘let them lose you. You were never theirs' and ‘trying to control any outcome regarding their decision is a waste of time. Just let them be, and let them do it on their own.'So if you will let us, let's get into it ;) As always we'd love to hear your thoughts! Happy Everything Is Content day & Happy Friday!Ruchira is back from her holiday... We're SO back... but we're also so sorry to tell you that we're now old enough that Gen Z are romanticising the 2010s. After years of us Millennials being an absolute joke to them, they're now craving a life of Buzzfeed, hipster myspace and American Apparel disco pants. We ask what it is about Millennial culture that is so cringe, but also, somehow better than whatever is going on right now.Next up, women in male dominated fields! Beth found a really interesting article on the website Semafor by Max Tani called “Young conservative women build an alternative to the manosphere.” And in the piece Tani explores several key female right wing creators who are now building empires and audiences in a way that feels very new and separate to the existing right wing media, which has historically been very male-dominated, often headed by controversial middle aged men who focus on recruiting young men into the fold and tend to espouse really misogynistic views that aren't particularly appealing to women anywhere on the political spectrum. Was it only a matter of time before we got a femosphere? And lastly, our timelines have been absolutely ablaze this week after Natalee Barnett, founder of the women's only gym, The Girls Spot, went back on her 2021 statement that her gym would be inclusive of trans women. We're back and midweek episodes have never sounded so good! After two amazing author interviews, we're returning to your ears with our take on the Belle Gibson fake cancer story and its recent Netflix adaptation, Apple Cider Vinegar. Happy Friday and even happier Everything Is Content day! This week the pod is missing our beloved Ruchira (on hols) but are determined to put on a good and- frankly chaotic- show until she's back in our arms.First up we talk about everyone's favourite luxury murder show White Lotus. Who are we loving, hating and hoping ends up dead by the end? Plus- is this latest series a familiar high-end hotel romp or a little too much of what we've seen before? Then we get firmly stuck into the latest Bridget Jones instalment. Which of us cried the most? Who got more drunk? What did we think of Mark Darcy's demise? Which hunk did we want her to end up with? And is Bridget Jones a feminist hero, a self-hating hack or a secret third option? Listen to find out!We hope you like (love) this episode just the way it is and if so… why not leave us a 5* rating and/or tell the world about us on social media? Happy Hump Day EIC heads - we've got another author special for you!Our beloved Beth is ill, so she's resting up, but Ruchira & Oenone are holding the fort and they've got an amazing interview for you with debut novelist Dr Nussaibah Younis.Nussaibah is a peace-building practitioner and a globally recognised expert on contemporary Iraq, and even advised the Iraqi government on humanitarian issues. We are talking to her about her debut novel Fundamentally, a book we all adored FYI, and Stylist's debut book of the year, which is out now. Happy Friday! Last week we dropped the first part of our EIC special on porn, looking at the creators and platforms taking over the industry. This week our (highly anticipated) second part looks at the people behind the screens: the consumers.First up, why is porn addiction such a divisive topic among academics? And does it even exist? We answer that question and look at the deeper issues contributing to widespread compulsive porn-use.Next, we look at the rise of non-consensual user-generated porn i.e. deepfakes and revenge porn, and the fact young people are accessing this content. Finally, ethical porn has promised to right the wrongs of an often exploitative, discriminatory industry. Just how true is this, and can porn ever ethically be consumed? In Production Partnership with Cue Podcasts-----------Psyche: If you think you've got a porn addiction, you probably haven'tBBC: Is 'porn addiction' a real thing?Children's Commissioner: ‘A lot of it is actually just abuse'- Young people and pornographyChannel 4: My Deepfake PornThe Guardian: Vicky Pattison: My Deepfake Sex Tape review Girlguiding: Girls face a crisis of confidence in an unequal world Hosted on Acast. In our chat Shon talked about romcoms, break-ups, community, addiction, different ways of mothering and what she's learned about the history of love. Happy Valentines Day - as a special treat, we've got a double deep dive for you - Everything Is Content, and some things, are Adult Content. This week on the podcast we're delving into the world of OnlyFans and digital sex work for part one of our two-part Porn series. In this instalment we are going to be talking about sexy subscription services, the Lily Phillips documentary and Bonnie Blue's banned OnlyFans video. So possibly more than anything else in the history of the pod, we have been asked by you at home, to talk about OnlyFans- the London based subscription service for content creators that has seen global success and cultural notoriety since it was founded 9 years ago, becoming especially popular with adult performers and sex workers producing pornography and selling other digital sexual services. We discuss a Substack by the very popular writer, creator, PHD candidate, and podcaster Maalvika Bhat, titled “What OnlyFans Billions reveal about the market value of male desire”, and ask, do we think some men might resent the freedom that OnlyFans allows women in terms of monetising sexuality? Why do women get so much of the “blame” for OF's popularity when it's men who are the biggest customer base? Can a site like OF alter desire on a broad scale? Are we maybe even seeing this happen? We then go on to discuss 23 year old Lily Phillips and her documentary with Josh Pieters, as well as another key figure in this conversation, Bonnie Blue, a 25-year-old sex worker and content creator who became even more famous for claiming to have slept with 1,057 men in 12 hours. Tune in next week for part-two, where we will be looking at the consumers of porn, the dangerous misuse of it, and whether or not it can ever, truly, be ethical. In Production Partnership with Cue PodcastsWhat OnlyFans billions reveal about the market value of male desire:https://maalvika.substack.com/p/what-onlyfans-billions-reveal-abouthttps://magdalene.substack.com/p/the-tech-oligarchy-is-stealing-yourLily Philips documentary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFySAh0g-MI&ab_channel=JoshPietershttps://www.joe.co.uk/news/bonnie-blues-1000-men-stunt-video-banned-from-onlyfans-474458https://graziadaily.co.uk/life/opinion/ashley-james-bonnie-blue/ Hosted on Acast. It's the extra episode!! This week we're diving into the most divisive topic we've done yet: the ethics of surrogacy. It's TIIIIIMEEEEE for Everything Is Content - Happy Friday EIC heads, we did it, another week bites the dust.As HUGE Motherland fans, we were eagerly anticipating the new BBC spin off Amandaland. The sitcom, produced by another love of our life, Sharon Horgan, follows Amanda (the leader of the alpha-mum's from the original show, with her perfectly blow-dried blonde hair, insufferable lack of self-awareness and yet somehow endearing charm) who is now divorced and has re-located from Chiswick to South Harlesden with her teenagers. She deals with modern motherhood horrors like teenage drinking, fake Instagram accounts and eco-anxiety, as well as establishing herself as an interiors influencer with her new business ‘sensuous'. Joanna Lumley, who plays Felicity, Amanda's mother, is her best self as an ab-fab-esque ex model. The show has ginormous boots to fill, so we ask, has it lived up to the hype?Next up - this year's Grammys... Two people who apparently did not stay long enough to enjoy themselves were Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, and his wife Bianca Censori, who showed up, stood for photos and then were apparently- if rumours are to be believed- asked to leave the ceremony following Bianca's outfit reveal. We discuss our reaction to her fit - or lack there of - and ask whether this is a sign of something horrible and sinister happening in front of our eyes, or if it's just a display from two people who are equally invested in giving us all a good show.Lastly, one of the more gorgeous moments from the Grammy's, was Tampa rapper Doechii getting her well-deserved flowers, winning best rap album and in the process becoming one of three women to win the award. We discuss her beautiful speech, her sensational lyricism, and why we are so pleased to have her in our ears.Aaaand, if you're happy to have us in your ears... a 5* review wherever you listen would mean the world, Thank you so much in advance
Happy hump day EIC heads! As a reward for making it halfway to the weekend here's a brand spanking episode of Everything In Conversation for you- and it's a doozy. This week we're discussing a new branch of the nepo baby discourse that sprouted after 24-year-old singer and Messy internet sensation Lola Young was “outed” as being the niece of mega-successful children's author Julia Donaldson (e.g. the creator of The Gruffalo). This revelation sparked conversations online about whether this connection was enough to open doors, if we even should be labelling Young a nepo baby, and what having a rich or high profile relative can mean when navigating a career in the arts. Armed with a pile of brilliant listener messages we try to find some answers, as well as getting stuck into the complications of the UK class system, code-switching, the sexism inherent in the term nepo baby and what we think we should all actually be talking about instead. Thanks so much for listening and/or taking part in this In Conversation episode. If you want to be a part of next week's discussion just follow us on IG @everythingiscontentpod. TGIF and TGIEICD (thank god it's Everything Is Content Day... is this gonna catch on?)This week, Beth, Ruchira and Oenone dip their toe in the fashion discourse, if 2025 Haute Couture is anything to go by, then quiet luxury and stealth wealth might be being booted out for loud luxury, extravagance and labels, sorry Sofia Richie Grainge! Next up, Selena Gomez posted a tearful video on Instagram Stories on Monday, before quickly deleting the post. In the video, she responded to the US' nationwide immigration raids over the weekend, which saw the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrest 956 people on Sunday — the largest number of arrests on a single day under Trump. He announced several extreme executive orders on immigration from his first day. US Senate candidate Sam Parker called to 'deport Selena Gomez' on X, while the left basically called her self-involved. They ask, why do you think we're so cynical of emotional outbursts online? And last but by no means least, is society shifting now towards intentional and consensual round the clock tracking? Beth found a fascinating piece called “We are all Big Brother now: The largest system of surveillance isn't run by the government or corporations. It's the grass-roots panopticon we're using to judge one another.” It was written by Alan Levinovitz, and published in the Boston Globe last June. Happy Friday! Happy Everything Is Content day more importantly! One story that dominated the news cycle this week - the inauguration. Whether we liked it or not, Donald Trump's speech and questionable guest-list was unavoidable. We dived into the rise of the broligarch, our fears for Trump 2.0 and the promises he's already made on trans rights and climate action (i.e. to protect neither).Life is about the light and the dark, but the Molly-Mae doc didn't really offer as many laughs as we'd hoped! Happy Wednesday, or unhappy Wednesday, it's been a weird week. Here at the EIC newsroom, we will fill you in - welcome to Everything In Conversation. This week on the extra episode, we discuss BrewDog founder James Watt's approach to work/life balance... which is to not have one. He came under fire after he shared a video of him and his fiancé, Georgia Toffolo, where he says, ‘so I just think the whole concept of work life balance was invented by people who hate the work that they do', to which Georgia replies ‘it's so true'. After he received a huge amount of backlash, including unacceptable threats of violence, as well as lots of more balanced takes, Watt asked on LinkedIn, “What does it say about our society that a post extolling the virtues of hard work gets met with this kind of furious backlash?” calling it a “bizarre controversy”. He said: “As a nation, we love to joke about the French being lazy, but the reality is that our output per hour is 13 per cent lower than theirs." James Watt is worth an estimated 262 million pounds at present, and has also previously been accused of presiding over a “toxic” culture. Beth, Ruchira and Oenone rummage around in the mess, and with help from the listeners, try to answer the question, is The UK workforce, work-shy? https://www.heraldscotland.com/opinion/24851034.roz-foyer-james-watt-spouting-nonsense-work-life-balance/https://www.telegraph.co.uk/food-and-drink/features/has-brewdogs-toxic-culture-pierced-craft-beer-balloon/#:~:text=A%20staple%20on%20supermarket%20shelves,out%2C%20afraid%20and%20miserable%E2%80%9D.https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/01/14/uk-is-among-most-work-shy-nations-claims-brewdog-founder/https://inews.co.uk/news/house-prices-young-people-nothing-to-work-for-3457041#:~:text=NEWSLETTER%20(%C2%A3)%20Work%20no%20longer,a%20home%20of%20their%20own.&text=This%20is%20Home%20Front%20with,newsletter%20from%20The%20i%20Paper%20. In the famous words of Rebecca Black: "it's Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday!" And we're back with a brand new episode of Everything Is Content! This week we're drinking UP the Babygirl discourse like a tall glass of milk. Were we intolerant to the film, or lapping it up and asking for more? Also, there's drama in the romantasy world and it doesn't involve magical creatures, but rather humans and accusations of plagiarism. Happy Wednesday! You know what that means – a brand new Everything in Conversation. This week on the podcast we're diving into the viral essay that incinerated the timelines just before Christmas. Yes, we're talking about The Cut's Lilly Jay essay. For anyone who doesn't know, last year stories of an alleged affair circulated around Ariana Grande and her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater. The pair soon went official, and his ex-wife Lilly Jay gained attention as a result. The chat went all sorts of places, including why the media needs a villain in a possible cheating story, the scorned woman narrative, therapy, and our views on monogamy. Happy new year and welcome back to Everything is Content! We also discuss our relationships to reinvention and ask: is it toxic to say no to rotting in bed? Next up: the agony of texting men. Is text-debt a real thing or are we over-reliant on texting as a replacement for in-person friendship and connection? Aaaaand finally we're looking at the latest legal drama in Hollywood as the Lively vs. Baldoni vs. NYTimes cases pick up momentum. Why are we so quick to criticise famous women and can these witch hunts and PR smear campaigns finally end with us? As ever thank you for listening! It's the penultimate episode of Everything is Content for 2024! Sadly Beth was travelling this week, so Oenone and Ruchira lead this very special extra episode. This week, the girls are in conversation with *the Emma Appleton*. You might know her as the lead from Dolly Alderton's BBC adaptation of her memoir, Everything I Know About Love, but she's now leading Paramount's new rom-com series The Road Trip, based on the book of the same name by bestselling author Beth O'Leary. The six part series starts with a wedding trip to Spain which takes an unexpected turn for Addie (played by Emma) and her sister Deb, when they're forced to share a campervan with Addie's ex Dylan, his friend Marcus, and a stranger Rodney. Here at EIC headquarters we can confirm the series is a gorgeous look at relationships in your 20s, navigating life and what happens when it all goes wrong. The Road Trip will be available to stream on Paramount+ from 26th December 2024.
