Duke Garwood is a British multi-instrumentalist from London.Duke Garwood has released six studio albums: Holy Week, Emerald Palace, The Sand That Falls, Dreamboatsafari, Heavy Love, and Garden of Ashes.He also played guitar on The Orb's single "Perpetual Dawn," appeared on the first two albums (Fur and Derdang Derdang) of the rock band Archie Bronson Outfit on clarinet and rhaita (a Moroccan reed instrument), and most recently played guitar on Mark Lanegan's album Blues Funeral and clarinet on Savages' album Silence Yourself, among many other guest appearances.In 2011, Garwood collaborated with artist Shezad Dawood in the concert performance 'New Dream Machine Project', which resumed the 1968 recording of Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones and Master Musicians of Jajouka. The new generation of "Master Musicians" and Garwood recreated that moment around the three-metre tall Dreamachine, originally invented by Brion Gysin and created for the occasion by Dawood.In February 2013, Ipecac and Heavenly announced the signing of Duke Garwood & Mark Lanegan. Lanegan described Garwood as "one of his all time favorite artists" and working with him as "one of the best experiences of his recording life". Their debut collaboration album Black Pudding was released in May 2013.After a successful collaboration with Mark Lanegan, Heavenly announced it had signed Garwood in November 2014 and his next solo album Heavy Love would be released through the label on 9 February 2015. He has collaborated with artists including the Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne, Morcheeba, Panda Bear and Sonic Boom. Alongside being a guitarist and pianist, he is a synthesis enthusiast with a particular interest in sampling and explorative sound manipulation. A (relatively) in-depth analysis of British, singer/songwriter Judie Tzuke in just under thirty minutes.Judie Tzuke was born Judie Myers in 1956. She is best known for her 1979 hit 'Stay with Me till Dawn', which reached number 16 on the UK singles chart.Tzuke's family relocated from Poland to England in the 1920s, and changed their surname from Tzuke to Myers, like other Jewish families from Eastern Europe. Judie preferred the original family name, using it at school and later as her stage name. She was educated in the visual arts, performing arts, and music, performing in folk clubs from the age of 15. Tzuke's career as a solo artist began in 1977, when she signed to Elton John's Rocket Record Company. Her first single on Rocket, 'For You', was released in 1978.In 1982 Tzuke headlined the Glastonbury Festival and in 1996 she launched her own label, Big Moon Records. In 2008 she released her sixteenth studio album, Songs 2. The same year, she co-wrote four tracks with Morcheeba, and featured as a vocalist on two tracks from their Dive Deep album.In 2018, Tzuke joined with Beverley Craven and Julia Fordham to record 'Safe', a song that she had written with Beth Nielsen Chapman. An album was released titled Woman to Woman, together with a tour of the same name in the same year.From October 2024 to January 2025, Tzuke took her 'Jude The Unsinkable Tour' to a selection of dates around the UK. A new set of international and local acts are set to join the 2024 WOMAD festival lineup. French house act Braxe + Falcon, Estonian folk artist Mari Kalkun, Irish sensations Lisa O'Neill and Cormac Begley and Kiwi alt-pop star Theia are all confirmed to be playing at the festival in March. The lengths you will go to in order to accomplish your own destruction” - An excerpt from Neuromancer by William Gibson I have had an unswerving devotion to electronic music ever since my heady baptism in the 90s London rave scene which culminated in an intense 5 years of studying music production. Since then I have spent a lifetime delving deeper and deeper into production.  My music has been compared to Jon Hopkins, Robert Miles and Orbital. Although these similarities are discernable, I am simply an artist determined to do my own thing.  My major early influences as Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Portishead, Morcheeba and then everything 90s rave. I grew up in a single parent family and my mum has been my greatest role model, she was a Children's Party Entertainer for most of her adult life.  My first name Ross means “headland”, the piece of land that sticks out into the sea and helps create somewhere wild, as well as the bay where people can enjoy the sea. My family name, Harper, comes from ancient times, Harper's are traditionally musicians who play music at festivals and for the royal gentry. My ambition is to live up to both these names I have been given. Every DJ set I share is a blank slate waiting to be written, I play anything from techno, drum & bass, deep house, dark disco, progressive house, cool ambient and everything in between. My personal productions are rich, varied and never to a script. The Ambient Girl series explores downtempo and has seen support from Cici, Lemonella and Ben Malone on Kiss FM. White Town proceden de la escena Indie, influidos por los sonidos electrónicos que se producían en aquel momento, lanzaron un “One-Hit” single en 1997 llamado “Your Woman”. No lograron repetir el éxito. El dúo Leftfield revolucionaron la escena electrónica con su disco debut “Leftism” en 1995, combinando el Hip Hop con el House, el Ambient, el Dub, el Techno. Auténticos temazos, como el que suena en este podcast o la colaboración con John Lydon “Open Up”. Los franceses AIR publicaron su álbum debut en 1998 combinando sonidos de sintetizadores de los 70s de gente como Vangelis o Jean-Michael Jarre, Ye-Ye Frances, Jazz, Ambient, etc. Creando un álbum “de música de ascensor 2.0” elogiado por toda la prensa mundial.
