A lot of women who cape for men are usually the ones who are deemed unattractive by the majority of them according to various online articles, thus the need to cater to their messed up viewpoints to get their attention. They are usually negatively competitive, jealous and man-obsessed. 'Staying on code': Support and encourage one another. Be affectionate and create a sisterhood, FOLLOW GIRL CODE (unlike like Portia). Stop being jealous and assuming everyone is a hater. Be open and friendly. Stop giving boyfriends husband benefits and dropping your friends for them (a few examples that may make a woman seem like her life revolves around male attention). His albums Life After Rock N Roll (2017 Full Bloom Records) and The Midnight Strain (2018 Full Bloom Records) have been hailed by music publications and played on radio stations in the US, Canada, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Australia. Matt’s sound is a clever blend of numerous styles of the music that have influenced him since his youth - early electric and country Blues, Rock N Roll, Rockabilly, Soul, R&B, Country, Bluegrass, Jazz and Psychedelia. His focus on making all original music by combining the influences that inspired him, along with his own ideas, have produced an exciting blend of many genres without rules or limitations. His exposure to music came first came from his mother through her love of Motown. When Matt was 9 years old, she took him to a Prince concert and afterwards, he knew he wanted to be a musician. His musical education began with his late uncle who turned him onto a record collection that included early 1950’s electric Blues and 1960's Rock which inspired Matt to play guitar. When he was 13, Matt got a knock off electric guitar for $25 at a flea market and set out to learn the instrument. He furthered his musical education when he began absorbing the music on old record labels, notably Chess, Sun and Stax . Less than a decade later, he began performing in clubs and in the years to follow, he established himself as a highly regarded musician in the Blues world with his first release, Hard Luck (2007), as one of the few artists in the genre capable of writing relevant original material without relying on any cover songs from the past. The album got rave reviews in multiple music publications, radio play on stations around the world and a featured spot on XM 74 Satellite Radio as a 'Pick to Click'. Around this time Matt joined Bob Margolin (guitarist for Muddy Waters 1973-1980) and performed with some of his heroes, legendary artists like Howlin’ Wolf's guitarist Hubert Sumlin and members of Muddy Water's band, Pinetop Perkins and Willie "Big Eyes" Smith. While he was looking for a new direction to expand his music, Matt started working with drummer Austin Hicks after they met on Craigslist in 2013. They formed the drum-guitar duo, the Low Counts and branded themselves as, "Blue Collar Rock-N-Roll". They turned heads, made dedicated fans and blew audiences away with their no frills, high energy stage show. Their ride was cut short on March 8th 2017 when Austin passed away unexpectedly. Matt wrote 27 songs that the duo released over three albums in the four short years they were together (The Low Counts 2014 Real Original Records, Unsettled Days 2015 Grimtale Records, Years Pass By 2015 Real Original Records) Matt released his first full length solo studio album in almost a decade, Life After Rock N Roll' (2017 Full Bloom Records). The album reignited his standing as a solo artist and found him stretching out to make powerful, refined music that was entirely different than any of his previous works and his third full length studio album, The Midnight Strain (2018 Full Bloom Records) built upon that success. Matt released his fourth full length studio album 'Burnt Out Soul' (Full Bloom Records) on September 25th 2020 that he recorded at the legendary Columbia Records Studio A on Music Row in Nashville TN.

You've heard of Contiki, but what about Pick Tiki? It's a new online job service dreamed up by university graduates, Emma Boase and Summer Wynyard, to get students into summer fruit picking work. Backed by NZ Apples and Pears Limited, Pick Tiki links young New Zealanders with jobs around the country in areas where fruit growers are in urgent need of staff. Erin Simpson is the Capability Development Manager at NZ Apples and Pears. He speaks to Corin Dann.
After this summer’s highly publicised Pick for Britain campaign, just 11% of the people who worked on farms this year were UK residents. That’s according to new figures from the NFU, which surveyed farmers and growers representing about 50% of the horticulture sector’s workforce. It also found that UK residents worked for an average of 9 and a half weeks - several weeks fewer than migrant workers. Anna Hill speaks to the NFU and hear from a British worker who was fired from a fruit farm after failing to meet daily picking targets. And our week-long look at hunting and game shooting continues. It's 15 years since the Hunting Act came into force, but anti-hunt campaigners claim illegal fox hunting is still regularly taking place. Saboteurs follow hunts and directly intervene to try and prevent foxes being injured. They also often carry cameras to try and catch any incidents of hunts breaking the law. We speak to saboteurs in Gloucestershire. Presented by Anna Hill Produced for BBC Audio in Bristol by Heather Simons

Trump appeared to doubt whether South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg could handle complex negotiations with economic rival China. "I want to be in that room, I want to watch that one," he said. Trump also expressed concern that several foreign leaders want former Vice President Joe Biden to be president. "Of course they do, so they can continue to rip off the United States," Trump said. "Sleepy Joe and Crazy Bernie [Sanders], I'll take any of them."The president also mused about the recent fortune of former U.S. Rep. Beto O'Rourke, saying the Texas Dem's poll numbers appear to be "falling like a rock." At the rally, Trump also announced his administration would allocate $448 million in federal aid to communities in Florida affected by last year's Category 5 Hurricane Michael, all while blasting Democrats standing in the way of his policies. He also called the political crisis in Venezuela "disgraceful."North Korea fires at least one projectile into East Sea, days after previous launches: reportsNorth Korea fired at least one unidentified projectile from a western region north of Pyongyang on Thursday in the country’s second such launch in less than a week, according to South Korean military reports. In the figures released by immigration officials, 109,144 people were encountered trying to enter the U.S. illegally last month. Of those trying to cross, 58,474 were with families, and 8,897 were unaccompanied children. Border Patrol Chief Carla Provost told senators Wednesday that apprehension numbers were "off the charts," and she's had to divert agents to care for children detained at the border. How a Victim of Identity Theft Uses Humour to Generate Cyber Awareness, with Bennett Arron Welcome to Episode 20 of the Re-Thinking the Human Factor Podcast. Joining us on the show today is Bennett Arron, Bennett was one of the first major victims of Identity Theft in the UK. According to the Police and credit reference agencies, he owed thousands of pounds to phone companies, banks and department stores. The only thing was, it wasn’t him. This theft resulted in Bennett becoming penniless and homeless. A comedy about identity theft Years later, Bennett wrote a comedy show about his experience. The show was critically acclaimed at the Edinburgh Festival and led to Bennett being asked to direct and present the documentary 'How To Steal An Identity' for Channel 4. How to steal an identity In the documentary, Bennett proved, through a series of stunts, how easy the crime of ID theft is to carry out by first stealing the identities of the general public and then, rather foolishly, stealing the identity of the Home Secretary. The documentary was 'Pick of The Week' in The Guardian and The Telegraph and was called ‘Fascinating and Disturbing’ by the TV Times. Bennett was shortlisted for a BAFTA. As a result of Bennett’s programme, the UK Driving Licence Application Form had to be changed… The programme can be viewed below (and you don’t even have to put in your bank details to watch!). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-URDjwb0fS4 Bennett now tours the world, telling his disturbingly true yet funny account of what it’s like to have your identity stolen and revealing the devastating consequences of making a documentary ‘in the public interest’. He was the Guest Speaker at the International Fraud Convention in Italy, the International Congress on Anti-Fraud and Anti-Corruption in Poland (twice), the Security Forum in South Africa and the opening keynote speaker at AUScert, Brisbane in front of 2000 delegates. In addition to this, Bennett also speaks to Management and Customer Service Staff on the subject of Data Protection and GDPR showing how the repercussions from clerical, computerised or face-to-face errors can be devastating. “People are shocked at what they fall for when they think they’re actually defending themselves…” JOIN BENNETT ARRON AND BRUCE HALLAS AS THEY DISCUSS THE FOLLOWING: Trying to stir emotion in an audience is one thing, but being emotional yourself helps that. However you’re going to communicate to your audience, it’s going to be much more powerful if the person creating the content has emotional investment in the topic. Whether or not humour is as powerful an ingredient in effective communications as it is thought to be. The importance of having good timing when using humour in communications. Are there underlying processes one can learn to become funny or get better at being funny? Finding your voice. Knowing the right time for the right voice. The importance of tone of voice as well as tone of subject matter in effective communication. Humour as a softer means of communicating awareness initiatives or policy so that people’s responses and engagement with the information is more open. How laughter effects humans physiological and psychologically. That humour works across cultures as long as references are dropped that would be culturally irrelevant to the audience at hand.
