Garajās Lieldienu brīvdienās paspējām piedzīvot gandrīz visus iespējamos pavasara laikapstākļus – gan siltu sauli, gan lietu, sniegu un stipru vēju. Beidzot ieradās arī pagājušajā nedēļā apspriestais cīruļputenis. Bija gan cīruļputenis, gan daļā Vidzemes izveidojusies sniega sega, kā tas pavasaros pie mums notiek gandrīz vienmēr. Pērn 5. aprīlī Vidzemē un Latgalē cīruļputenis atnesa pat 10–12 centimetru biezu sniegu, no Cēsu puses iedzīvotāji sūtīja mērījumus ar 18 cm biezu sniega kārtu, tā ka šogad cīruļputenis vēl tāds ļoti maigs un rāms. Kad cilvēki redz ligzdā stāvam apsnigušu stārķi vai dzērves staigā pa apsnigušu lauku, tāpat mēdz satraukties, vai putniem tas nekaitē. Patīkami noteikti nav, bet viņiem tā sanāk katru gadu. Ja vien sniegs nav ļoti dziļš uz daudzām dienām, tad nekādas lielas problēmas putniem tas nesagādā, turklāt – ja pie mums, piemēram, dzērvēm šāds cīruļputenis uznāk vienu vai divas reizes pavasarī, tad Igaunijā un vēl jo vairāk Somijā pat vēl maijā tās bieži brien pa sniegu, bet dzēvju populācija turpina pieaugt un par šo interesants pētījums aprakstīts Igaunijas sabiedriskā medija ERR ziņā. Gan pie viņiem, gan Latvijā, gan citur Eiropā dzērvju populācija pēdējās desmitgadēs ir stabili un diezgan strauji palielinājies. Igaunijas ornitologi ir apkopojuši visplašākās pieeajmās ziņas par Igaunijas dzērvēm, to dzīvesveidu un migrāciju un ir sanākuši interesanti secinājumi. Protams, tas, ka tuvējie migranti, kas ziemo relatīvi tuvu Baltijai, siltāku ziemu un pavasaru dēļ atgriežas arvien agrāk, bet igauņu pētnieki ir secinājuši, ka dzērves arī ziemo arvien tuvāk. Piemēram, pagājušā gadsimta 60.–70. gados, dzērvju galvenās ziemotnes bija Ziemeļāfrikā, visvairāk Marokā. Astoņdesmitajos un deviņdesmitajos gados tās sāka ziemot Spānijā, bet pēdējos 15–20 gadu laikā dzērves ziemo Francijā un Vācijā. Tām ir vienkāršāk atgriezties, ja pavasaris sākas agrāk, nav vairs tik tālu jālido. Vienlaikus pētnieki atklājuši, ka pēdējās desmitgadēs ir ievērojami palielinājusies dzērvju mazuļu mirstība un tas savukārt kaut kā nelīmējas kopā ar stabili pieaugošo populāciju. Izrādās, ka dzērvju skaits Eiropā ir tuvu maksimālajām iespēju robežām. Daļai dzērvju vairs nepietiek vietas tām vislabāk piemērotajās dzīvotnēs, tādēļ tās sāk ligzdot tur, kur mazuļu izaudzināšana ir izaicinošāka. Apkārtnē ir mazāk barības vai vairāk plēsēju. Ja 80tajos gados Igaunijā 96–97 procentu mazuļu izdzīvoja, tad šobrīd tie ir tikai ap 60 procentiem, turklāt daļa no izdzīvojušajiem ir vājākā stāvoklī un palielinās risks, ka tie pēc tam iet bojā migrācijā vai ziemošanas vietās. Tāpat pētnieki secinājuši, ka dzērvju populācija ir augusi ne tikai skaitā, bet izpletusies teritoriāli, piemēram, tās sākušas ligzdot Vācijas dienvidos un Ungāriju, kur agrāk to nedarīja. No 1. aprīļa, lai sargātu mazo zīriņu ligzdošanas vietas, cilvēkiem ir slēgtas trīs upju grīvas, ziņo Dabas aizsardzības pārvalde. Tās visas ir Ventspils novadā. Zināmākā ir Irbe, vēl arī divas mazākas – Ķikans un Lūžņa. No 1. aprīļa līdz 1. augustam cilvēkiem liegts pastaigāties vai veikt jebkādas citas darbības šo upju grīvās un ieteicams arī nekur tuvumā nepastaigāties ar suņiem bez pavadas. Tur arī dabā izvietotas informatīvas zīmes tā, ka nejauši ieklīst šajās zonas nevar, par to nevajag satraukties. Zīriņi un tārtiņi ligzdas ierīko liedaga smiltīs, izveidojot mazu bedrīti. Bieži vien ligzdas un dējums tajās pilnībā saplūst ar apkārtējo vidi, tādēļ cilvēka acij paslīd garām nepamanīts. Pludmalē ligzdojošo putnu mazuļi ir ligzdbēgļi. Proti, drīz pēc izšķilšanās tie pamet ligzdu un seko saviem vecākiem, kas tos baro un pieskata. Putnu mazuļi šajā laikā nelido, tie veikli pārvietojas pa zemi. Pētījumi parāda, ka putni cilvēku savā tuvumā uztver kā draudu. Pieaugušie putni pamet ligzdas, savukārt mazuļi bēgot noklīst no vecākiem. Ar laiku putni pamet agrāk izvēlētās teritorijas, vairs nedēj olas un neaudzina mazuļus, kā rezultātā sarūk sugas populācija. Vēl jāpiemin, ka no 1. maija tādi paši ierobežojumi būs pie Gaujas ietekas RĪgas līcī, tur pie Carnikavas, kas gan ir cilvēku ļoti iecienīta pastaigu vieta. Mazie zīriņi Vidzemes pusē ligzdošanu sāk mazliet vēlāk, tādēļ ierobežojumi ir no 1. maija. Putnu atgriešanās Latvijā turpinās, brīvdienās redzēti kārtējie dzērvju bari lidināmies un sasaucamies debesīs, bet vēl pavasarī notiek viena cita migrācija. Cilvēki – tādi, kas pamatā dzīvo pilsētās un kuriem ir mazdārziņi, sāk arvien biežāk uz tiem doties, rušināt, sakopt, lai būtu gatavi jaunajai sēšanas un stādīšanas sezonai. Rīgā aizvadīto dažu gadu laikā jauna dzīvība un arvien lielāka aktivitāte ir Lucavsalas mazdārziņos, tāpēc tikāmies ar vienu dārza entuziasti Andru Čudari, kura arī jau sākusi rosīties un vispār, pagājušajā nedēļā, kad es tur ciemojos, tur aktivitāte tiešām augsta – cilvēki zāģē, grābj, cērt, rok. Pilsētnieki ir sākuši pavasara darbus.  Pavasaris vēl vēss un šur tur pat ar cīruļputeni, tā, ka lielie dārza darbi darbi vēl priekšā. Nākamnedēļ es sarunāšos ar ainavu arhitekti, turklāt tādu, kas labi pārzina šīs profesijas vēsturi. Pat ne profesijas, bet ainavu arhitektūras vēsturi, kad varbūt pat apzināti to nesauca par ainavu iekārtošanu. Ar Ilzi Locāni no Turaidas muzejrezervāta runājām, jo lai nu kas, bet ainava – gan dabiska, gan cilvēku veidota – Turaidas pusē ir neatņemama un ļoti spilgta visa kompleksa sastāvdaļa.

Šis ir laiks, kad pilsētnieki arvien biežāk sāk doties uz saviem mazdārziņiem, rušināt, sakopt, lai būtu gatavi jaunajai sēšanas un stādīšanas sezonai. Rīgā aizvadīto dažu gadu laikā jauna dzīvība un arvien lielāka aktivitāte ir Lucavsalas mazdārziņos, tāpēc šoreiz raidījumā saruna ar dārza entuziasti Andru Čudari, kura arī jau sākusi rosīties savā mazdārziņā. Pagājušajā nedēļā Lucavsalā varēja sastapt daudzus mazdārziņu īpašniekus – cilvēki zāģēja, grāba, cirta, raka. Pilsētnieki ir sākuši pavasara darbus. Bet tā kā vēl ir vēss un šur tur pat cīruļputeņa atnests sniegs, lielie dārza darbi darbi vēl priekšā.

Mēs jau esam nofotografējušies uz laimi starp divām Zanēm Eniņām – viena ir ceļotāja un blogere, arī vairāku grāmatu autore, otra – mūsu radio kolēģe, Ziņu dienesta galvenā redaktore, arī tulkotāja no franču valodas. Šoreiz viņas ir braukušas kopīgā ceļojumā uz Senegālu, bet ceļotāja un blogere Zane Eniņa vēl turpināja ceļu arī uz Gambiju. Tagad izdota grāmata "Baobabi un krokodili. Senegālas un Gambijas piezīmes". Vispirms gan viņas kopā vāca vīnogas Francijā… Šoreiz ceļojuma iniciatore bija žurnāliste Zane Eniņa, jo viņa gribēja redzēt Rozā ezeru Senegālā. Ezeru viņas gan redzēja, bet tas nemaz nebija rozā. Toties viņas redzēja zeltainu smilgu lauku, milzu kokus, piedzīvoja tirgošanos un viesmīlības īpatnības, baudīja pārsteidzošu Rietumāfrikas laikmetīgo mākslu. Zanes Eniņas grāmatu "Baobabi un krokodili. Senegālas un Gambijas piezīmes" izdevusi "Zvaigzne ABC". Līdz šim izdotas viņas grāmatas "Nekaunīgais pingvīns", „Uz Aļasku un atpakaļ", „Santjago ceļš: plāksteris pēdām un sirdij", "Pārziemot Āzijā", kā arī prakstiskās ceļošanas padomi grāmatā „Atklāj pasauli. 1288. Llamar podcast a un podcast empieza a ser, paradójicamente, uno de los grandes problemas del propio formato, y de ahí nace la reflexión que comparto en este episodio. Llevo tiempo dándole vueltas a esta sensación de desgaste, de dilución del término, y el artículo publicado en The Verge por Andru Marino ha sido la chispa definitiva para ponerlo todo en orden y pensarlo en voz alta. No se puede negar que el podcast está más presente que nunca. Desde aquella explosión inicial alrededor de 2014, con Serial como referencia clara, hasta el empujón definitivo que supuso la pandemia de 2020, el formato ha crecido en consumo, en producción y en visibilidad. Cada vez hay más gente escuchando podcast, más personas creando contenido y más plataformas intentando subirse a la ola. Y, precisamente por eso, empiezo a preguntarme si no hemos llegado al punto en el que llamar podcast a algo ya no lo hace especial, sino todo lo contrario. La reflexión de Andru parte de algo muy concreto: su recap anual de YouTube. Al revisar su pestaña de “podcast”, se encuentra con recetas de cocina, fragmentos de informativos, cortes de radio, pseudoprogramas de televisión y contenidos que poco o nada tienen que ver con lo que históricamente hemos entendido como podcast. Ese batiburrillo le lleva a plantearse si no ha llegado el momento de jubilar la palabra, no porque el formato esté muerto, sino porque se ha convertido en una etiqueta comodín. Y aquí conecto directamente con algo que me resulta muy familiar. A lo largo de los años hemos visto desaparecer o quedar relegados términos como webserie, videoblog, internauta, sala de chat o incluso aquello de “navegar por internet”. Muchas de esas palabras siguen existiendo, pero ya no definen nada relevante para las nuevas generaciones. Las usamos quienes las vivimos en su momento, pero han dejado de ser aspiracionales, modernas o atractivas. En el artículo también se menciona una observación muy interesante de Ashley Carman durante The Podcast Show de Londres. En una feria dedicada al podcasting, varios ponentes evitaban conscientemente la palabra podcast y hablaban directamente de shows. No era casualidad. El término empieza a sonar demasiado de nicho, demasiado concreto, y eso, de cara a anunciantes y marcas, no resulta tan seductor como algo más amplio, más difuso y más vendible. Este cambio no es nuevo. Ya lo hemos visto con los influencers, ahora rebautizados como creadores de contenido. Hacen prácticamente lo mismo, pero el cambio de nombre permite ampliar el marco, abrir nuevas puertas comerciales y estirar el concepto hasta donde haga falta. Con el podcast empieza a pasar algo parecido. Llamarlo show permite incluir vídeo, directos, teatros llenos, estudios con neones y cualquier cosa que tenga un micro delante. Incluso hay casos extremos, como The Adam Friedland Show, donde se corrige a los invitados si utilizan la palabra podcast. Ahora es un talk show. Y punto. El término podcast, para muchos, empieza a resultar limitante, antiguo o poco sexy desde el punto de vista del marketing. Pero todo esto tiene una lectura positiva si se mira desde el audio. Para quienes siguen creando pensando en el oyente, en la compañía, en el criterio y en el nicho, este desplazamiento del foco puede ser una liberación. Las grandes plataformas seguirán usando el audio como segunda vida de sus contenidos, pero ya no inundarán las plataformas de podcast con productos efímeros diseñados para otro consumo. Quizá no estemos asistiendo a la muerte del podcast, sino a su regreso a casa. A dejar de ser la palabra de moda para volver a significar algo concreto para quien le da al play buscando una voz honesta al otro lado. Puede que el término se desgaste, que ahora todo se llame show, pero mientras exista esa escucha íntima y personal, el podcast —aunque ya no lo llamemos así— seguirá vivo. Tiesa, Latvijā jārēķinās, ka daudzviet var nokļūt tikai ar personīgo mašīnu ne sabiedrisko transportu.

Andru's name is almost never on the marquee, but if you're passing through the Bop Stop here in Cleveland or a bot more often at Blu Jazz in Akron , Andru is the keyboardist and piano player you want to round out your sound. Sarunājas un pieredzē dalās "Tez Tour" vadītājs Rolands Birģelis, uzņēmuma "Helmes Latvia" līdzīpašnieks Viesturs Bulāns un ceļotāja Alīna Andrušaite. Viesturs Bulāns atzīst, ka MI jāizmanto kā palīgs, nevar pieņemt lēmumus cilvēka vietā. Viņš arīatgādina, ka vienmēr ir jāpārbauda MI sniegtā informācija. Alīna Andrušaite dalās pieredzē, ka šogad diviem ceļojumiem - viens bijis uz Maurīciju, otrs - uz Ņujorku, izmantojusi MI rīkus, lai plānotu braucienu. Stāstot par Maurīcijas brauciena plānošanu, viņa atzīst, ka daudz nācies vilties. "Sametot punktus uz kartes, ko MI piedāvā, pirmajā brīdī šķiet loģiski, tiešām interesantas apskates vietas, biju ierakstījusi, kas mani interesē. Kad praksē sāc skatīties, parādās nianses - pirmais ir darba laiki, bieži vien saplānotais maršruts neatbilst tam, kā tās vietas reāli strādā. Jo MI izmanto vecu informāciju vai vispār neņem to vērā. Vai arī maršruti saplānoti tā, ka katru dienu jābraukā pa visu salu. Loģiski būtu apskatīties kārtīgi vienu stūrīti, tad doties, nevis katru dienu pavadīt sešas stundas automašīnā, braukājot no viena gala uz otru," pieredzē dalās Alīna Andrušaite. "Jebkurā gadījumā uz to jāskatās kritiski, vietas palīdzēt atrast noteikti var, bet tas viss ir jāpārbauda." Savukārt, stāstot par braucienu uz Ņujorku, viņa atklāj, ka bijusi gandarīta par MI ieteikumu apmeklēt kādu privātu bibliotēku, ko noteikti pati tā vienkārši neatrastu, savukārt trīs citi ieteikumi bijuši par vietām, kas jau slēgtas. "MI tūrisma sfērā darbu neatņem, nodrošina iespēju savādāk paskatīties uz kādu darbu," atzīst Rolands Birģelis. "Izmanto aprakstu tulkošanā, video veidošanā vai attēlu ģenerēšanā, vairāk tehniskās lietās."

Dodoties tālākos ceļojumos, būtiska ir arī veselības apdrošināšana, kā arī ieteicams rūpīgi izlasīt noteikumus, ko tā paredz. Runājot par ceļošanas transporta izvēli, arī jāzina attiecīgās valsts noteikumi par apdrošināšanas nepieciešamību.  Ceļojot ar savu auto, jāņem vērā, ka ir dažādi ceļu izmantošanas noteikumi.  Eiropā vairākās valstīs ir nepieciešamas "ceļa vinjetes" [autoceļu lietošanas nodeva] un tās jānovieto pareizā vietā uz auto vējstikla, lai sistēma nolasa. Jābūt arī uzmanīgam par stāvēšanas iespējam. Nezinot katras pilsētas un valsts stāvēšanas noteikumus, var viegli iekulties nepatikšanās. Stāvēšanas noteikumi mēdz būt sarežģīti. Arī ceļu satiksmes noteikumi valstīs mēdz atšķirties. Lai pēc tam nesaņemtu dārgu pastkarti ar pēcapmaksu no kādas valsts policijas, der iepazīties arī ar ceļošanai izvēlētās valsts ceļu satiksmes noteikumiem. Svarīgi pārbaudīt arī auto tehnisko stāvokli pirms doties ceļā, lai bez liekiem izdevumiem varētu veikt ceļojumu. "Es jebkurā gadījumā gribētu cilvēkus rosināt ceļot un nesabīties," mudina Zane Eniņa. "Mēs vairāk runājam par problēmām un par cilvēku tiesībām saņemt dažādas kompensācijas vai apdrošināšanu. Drošībai ir jābūt, bet tie būs ļoti reti gadījumi.  Es ceļoju vairāk nekā 10 gadus un intensīvi, un tikai šogad pirmoreiz dzīvē man nācās izmantot apdrošināšanas pakalpojumu. Tas nozīmē, ka visus iepriekšējos ceļojumus nekas tāds nav bijis. Tas nenozīmē, ka problēmas nav, viņas vienmēr kaut kur būs un parādīsies, bet cilvēki tiks galā. Un arī ārvalstīs, cik man ir nācies lūgt kādam padomu vai palīdzību, cilvēki visur ir ļoti atsaucīgi. Neatkarīgi no tā, kurā valstī tu esi, kādā valodā runā cilvēki, kādi viņi ir, viņi tiešām vienmēr vēlas tev palīdzēt. Tādā ziņā es gribētu vienkārši cilvēkiem teikt: ceļojiet un nebaidieties!" Vēl kāds atgādinājums: Eiropas Savienības regula nosaka, ja lidojums aizkavējas vai tiek atcelts, pienākas ne tikai nogādāšana izvēlētajā galapunktā ar citu reisu, nepieciešamā aprūpe, piemēram, ēdināšana, ja ilgu laiku jāgaida, vai arī pat naktsmītnes izmaksas, ja ir jānakšņo, bet arī morālā kompensācija, kas ir no 250 līdz 600 eiro personai. Regula nosaka aviopasažieru tiesības, ja ir atcelts reiss vai atteikta iekāpšana. Ja reiss kavējas trīs stundas un vairāk un kavēšanās iemesli nav kādi ārkārtas apstākļi, pasažierim ir tiesības saņemt ne tikai aprūpi, bet arī prasītāja kompensāciju. Kompensācijas apmērs ir atkarīgs no lidojuma garuma un vai tas lidojums bija Eiropas Savienības iekšienē vai arī uz trešajām valstīm.  Par katru gadījumu, kad reiss atcelts, der interesēties atsevišķi, kāda atlīdzība pienākas ceļotājam par attiecīgo kavējumu. Jāņem vērā, ka ne visi tehniskie traucējumi ir ārkārtas apstākļi. Ja ir apdrošināšana, par kompensācijas saņemšanu katrā konkrētā gadījumā der interesēties pie apdrošinātāja.
