This week on our motorcycle podcast Liza is seeking on advice on a few legal matters. If you get a speeding ticket in another country, does it follow you back home? How can you tell you are talking to a Craigslist scammer? What can you do if you pay for a custom item that doesn't work, and the fabricator won't respond to your emails? Our guest Amy from https://autoappraisalnetwork.com/ tries to answer some of these questions. In her experience working with the DMV, as a VIN verifier and an automotive appraiser, she has learned how to navigate the grey areas in the system. She answers all of our questions, and also gets roped into playing a game where everyone has to appraise different vehicles, some of which are one of a kind. Already well established in metastatic urothelial carcinoma, the role of ICIs has now been validated and resulted in regulatory approvals in both non–muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) and high-risk muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC). In this interdisciplinary discussion, two bladder cancer experts provide practical guidance on the use of ICIs in the treatment of patients with early-stage bladder cancer, including as part of bladder-sparing and perioperative approaches. Hear about accumulating evidence on these agents and learn guideline-based strategies for incorporating immunotherapy into personalized treatment plans and collaborating with other members of the cancer care team to manage immune-related adverse events and improve outcomes for your patients. Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to: Appraise accumulating evidence on immunotherapy strategies for bladder cancer management in early-stage disease; Incorporate approved and emerging immunotherapeutic approaches in personalized treatment plans for patients with early-stage bladder cancer, considering the available evidence, guidelines, and principles of multidisciplinary and patient-centered care; and Design and collaborate on evidence- and team-based management protocols to address the unique suite of adverse events associated with immunotherapeutic treatment options in bladder cancer.

We meet her next guest, Jeneen Slaughter at her apartment in Raleigh. Jeneen's just got that super warm, fun, personality and you can tell right away it's gonna be a great interview. She grew up in Detroit, and she's a mom of four. Her father worked with cars at Chrysler, and although she's a daddies girl her father was abusive towards her mother. Her mom was depressed, and both her and her mom ended up in some codependency, really missing love and validation, and like many she grew up with low self-esteem. She talks about how in life, she was always looking for love to fill a void and how she made mistakes because she was coming from the wrong place. A place where her inner child was yet to be healed. She was finding codependency and thinking it was love. Now though, she's in such a great place, and it was really through raising her children, that she ultimately found true love and validation within, and for herself. She's a great example that you don't have to be a product of your upbringing, and you can stop the cycle of abuse. You can give children a better start and opportunity than we were given. She shares a message for the audience; to be fearless in life and to forget your past, to not stay bonded to it, and how for her, God pulled her out of it. Finishing with a fantastic quote from her, “don't let the junkman appraise your value, you are a diamond.” For behind the scenes content of the making of The Jar, meet the guests, see some footage of unreleased podcast episodes and more visit : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaTqB1dhDvl0Oh505ysdxTgTo be a guest on the show email us at thejarguest@gmail.com or visit our webpage : https://www.thejar.live/Follow The Jar on Instagram : https://www.instagram.com/thejar_podcast/Follow The Jar on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/podcast.thejarDisclaimer: The views stated in this episode are our guest's opinions and do not represent the views, beliefs or opinions of The Jar Podcast. Join Tracy for another solo episode to learn how to valuate, or appraise, your time. Tracy reviews her 3 pillar system of Time Leadership, with a deep-dive into Pillar 2: Analysis. Pillar 1: Discovery. Pillar 2: Analysis. Pillar 3: (Inspired) Action. Tracy walks you through how to track your time for two weeks, categorize how you've spent your time, and place value on each task you perform. You'll take your data (how you've spent the last two weeks) and categorize all 15 minute intervals into 6 categories: Tasks that only you can do (i.e. patient care that relies on your expertise) Tasks that you're doing that someone else on your staff could (or should!) do (i.e., additional charting, transcription, scheduling, administrative tasks, even if you can do them or can do them “faster” than your team) Tasks you ought to be doing, but don't have time to do Tasks you'd love to do, but aren't currently doing for the same lack of time Things you think about Things you worry about You'll assign monetary value to each of your categories, and hold onto your hat, because you might be a little shocked…but fear not, data is your friend, and this information will help you make your plan to structure your time differently going forward. Learning ObjectivesReview the formative facets of iron absorption and metabolism, including the practical distinctions between functional and absolute iron deficiency, with expert analysis of how these principles dictate treatment approaches.Summarize the multifactorial etiologies and complex pathophysiology of cancer-related anemia (CRA) and chemotherapy-induced anemia (CIA), emphasizing the implications of CRA/CIA on oncologic outcomes and patient-centric metrics.Appraise completed, ongoing, and planned clinical trials of IV iron products in CRA/CIA, highlighting the established ability of these agents to enhance hematopoietic response rates, decrease transfusion burden, and improve patient outcomes.Discuss how next-generation IV iron products have dramatically improved upon the safety profiles of earlier generation agents, particularly with respect to severe hypersensitivity reactions.Review current expert consensus guidelines for CRA/CIA management from ASCO/ASH, NCCN, and ESMO. Use real-world patient cases to evaluate evidence-supported strategies that members of the multidisciplinary and interprofessional cancer care team can use to safely and effectively implement IV iron into clinical practice.Compare and contrast the unique clinical utility of currently-approved IV iron agents, emphasizing the impact of differential safety profiles on treatment decisions.Investigate the clinical implications of IV iron-associated hypophosphatemia in all patients, but especially in those with cancer and/or those actively receiving chemotherapy.Presented by Creative Educational Concepts, LLC.Supported through an independent educational grant from Pharmacosmos Therapeutics, Inc.
