“It’s all Brow”. Ep19 arrives with a contemporary, ghoulish horror movie pitch from co-host Dave and it’s a straight up gore-fest. But the fun kind. Set in “one of the most haunted places in the UK”, there’s a touch of the ‘will they’, ‘won’t they’ keep hold of their own face. A story as old as time. Act 1 delivers some dedicated Nun feedback from those in the know, whilst Act 2 touches on some good horrory reads as well as a quick swerve into Aesop’s classic ‘The Tale of The P!ss!ng Shrew’. Act 3 is the soon to be modern classic ‘The Vaults’, whilst Act 4 delivers a flurry of alternate titles. Oh and for some reason Robert Durst is in this one. The improvisation is rather aggressive at parts but in later sections it becomes more friendly, light and easy going ending with a cheesy jazzy bit at the end. This episode we’re going to do something a little different. Over the past few years I’ve shared a lot of content on social media that’s more on the artistic, poetic side, and there are deeper philosophies that run through many of these posts. So today I’ve decided to share some of them that have gained the most traction, that seemed to really resonate with people, and do so in this more intimate audio format, as well as give some context around their creation.Perhaps you will find them value in them, and if nothing else, that you feel inspired to process your own thoughts and feelings, not just in your own mind, but externally through writing, art, music, conversation, or another form of artistic expression.

We've all heard that "comparison is the thief of joy." Still, we can't help but measure ourselves against others. We compare our jobs and salaries, clothes and appearances, relationships and families. Our kids to it, too, measuring popularity, grades, looks, athleticism, social media numbers. Social comparison isn't bad when we let it inspire us, when we recognize and respect the achievements of others. However, too often the comparisons make us feel inadequate, like failures, or just plain bad about ourselves. Ed and Renee have been there, and they know a thing or two about turning the tide on the pain of social comparison.Support the show (https://gozen.com/dearanxiety/)

#Ep18. Parto cesárea e a Startup Canguru . FeedBack w. Wes Nyle. EP18. Of Monsters and Men. 07.06.12For years Iceland has been the music muse for artists like Bjork and others that I haven’t ever heard of. In 2011 this 6 piece poked its head from the glacial rivers in an attempt to claim the affinity of the Americas, with their EP titled Into The Woods.According to Icelandic legend, front woman, Nanna Hilmarsdottir, sparked the creation of, Of Monsters and Men, when she joined her solo project Songbird with the solo projects of Raggi, Bynjar, and Arnar, three dudes with questionably pronounced first names, and completely unpronounceable last names.Six piece bands shouldn’t leave anything on the table. This goes double for strange instruments. And Of Monsters and Men doesn’t disappoint. Four members of this group all play multiple instruments including the Melodica, The Accordion, any my personal favorite The Glockenspiel.About three months ago the US was exposed to the band’s first full length My Head Is An Animal. This comes about eight months after the Philadelphian modern rock station WRFF exposed us to the band’s break out single Little Talks when they were yet a gleam in a hipster’s eye. This is Of Monsters and Men.Tracks Heard In This Podcast: Dirty Paws Six Weeks Love Love Love From Finner Little Talks
