This year marks the 30th anniversary of Thelma and Louise, the Ridley Scott directed movie about two women who have HAD ENOUGH! Amen sisters! Fuck that patriarchy! 30 years later, we're still a bit light on the female centric action films for our taste, but let's toast these bad ass bitches for proving that women can lead at the box office! Starring Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon as besties on the run after they shoot a would be rapist, who lets be honest totally deserved it. Diiiiiick.  We'll talk about some alternate casting for this movie, Baby Brat Pitt's tanned naked chest, and why Michael Madsen is scary but also hot? Confusing!

Sponsored by Drinkmate Theme music provided by Peter Perkins Special Thank You to Lucy Piller/ARN Entertainment for providing the talent Larry Griffith Bio Larry Griffith has been on a musical and geographic journey southward, and his fifth album, Bonafide, is the next step. Like any good blues, it was born of some hardship. Larry recorded it while going through a breakup, and had to halt production for two months to undergo throat surgery. Though the process was trying (because it was trying), the result is an honest and vivid reflection of the road Larry has traveled and the things he’s picked up and carried with him along the way. As songs like “Had Enough,” “It Ain’t What They Call You,” and “I’m Free” attest, Larry was down but never out. http://larrygriffithmusic.com

Epizódunk vendége tulajdonképpen úttörő, a szó legszorosabb értelmében. Megismerkedünk Tash Sultana nevével is és aegyütt elmélkedünk arról, a veszprémi óvodások étlapjára vajon felkerülhet-e a Hester's Life granolája... (Zene: Arnóczky Noémi - Had Enough of You)

In his 8th episode, it’s a two-fer, as Had Enough speaks with local artists SP@D3Z and JayLocke!Antonio Porter, aka SP@D3Z, is a creator of his own genre, metal-trap, and has been playing since 2014. His music is a mix of dark metal screams, eerie hooks, and heavy bass. It’s definitely a crossover that lovers of hip hop and metal alike can enjoy. After his 2016 EP, Black Butterfly, SP@D3Z made a name for himself by letting people know about his personal battles with depression and anxiety. He wants his music to help the people who are battling with mental health issues, and help build them up. SP@D3Z is also about to drop a new album, Metal Woundz.Music featured: SP@D3Z – RiotJayLocke started writing as young as 5 years old, about the time he was adopted. He started hitting the scene around 15, and has quickly developed a fan base in the Tulsa area. JayLocke says his music is meant to resonate with other young adults like him, and he writes about things that have heavily affected him. Before the April 24th, 1989 release of ‘Full Moon Fever’, Tom Petty was coming off of a pretty rough period in his life both professionally and personally. His last album with the Heartbreakers ‘Let Me Up (I’ve Had Enough)’ didn’t live up to its expectations and his record label wasn’t happy. But that paled in comparison to what Tom had to deal with in the spring of 1987. On May 17th of that year Tom and his family were sitting down to breakfast that morning when they began to smell smoke. Within moments, Petty's Encino, Calif., home was engulfed in flames. He got his wife and 5-year-old daughter out safely, but the fire burned through the house quickly. The only room that survived was his basement studio. The Pettys had lost nearly everything. He lost an estimated $1 million dollars damages. It was devastating but not the last of the bad news. This was no accident. According to a report, an arsonist had drenched the house's back staircase in lighter fluid. But Tom wasn’t ready to give up yet and he had some very loyal and talented friends who would be right by his side, in the studio the whole way. By July of 1989, Tom Petty was not only back on top, he was bigger than he’d ever been and it all came thanks to the album we’re about to discover – ‘Full Moon Fever’.SIDE ONE:1. "Free Fallin'" 2. His trying background and past struggles as an individual with spina bifida allows him to provide a unique and inspiring perspective to his art and music. His message is that you can't let anything hold you back. Music means everything to him because that's what he loses himself in, in order to fight back and make things work. Had Enough has Tulsa hip-hop performer, Fritzy, in for his 6(66)th episode of The Hip Hop Hour. Fritzy was once the lead singer for a rock band in Kansas, but was drawn to the beats from hip-hop music and writing lyrics long before. Fritzy talks about how he started his brand and music with a business perspective, taking notes from other artists’ successes, and continuing to build himself in order to establish himself in the scene. They discuss the pros and cons of “pay to play” shows and knowing when and where to invest in one’s self in order to rise above the rest.Music Featured:Fritzy – IntroWe hope you’ve been enjoying Had Enough’s Hip Hop Hour so far! Nucentz, an OG of Irish rap, joins us on the line for episode #122 of Paddy Holohan’s No Shame Podcast. Nucentz, whose real name is Rob Byrne, was one of the leading figures of Irish hip-hop during the early 2000’s. The Tallaght native has collaborated with artists such as Lupe Fiasco, Maverick Sabre & opened for the likes of Public Enemy. His music has gained millions of views online with tracks such as ‘Had Enough’, ‘Do You Really Love Me’, & of course the2007 hit ’Sin City’ a Class A’z collaboration with Terawrizt & Redzer. Now after years away from the industry, He’s back & is here on the show to tell us why. Irish hip hop has never been more popular, with artists such as Versatile, Rejjie Snow, JyellowL, Rusangano Family, Kojaque, Leathal Dialect, Mango x MathMan & so much more on the scene, it truly is a golden age for the genre. Back in Rob’s time you could hardly even call it a scene,’ explains Nucentz, it was all about getting on the airwaves to gain much needed exposure. Thankfully with the rise of social media, that’s no longer the priority & artists can get their music out to millions, keeping their work intact in its truest form without the dreaded T’s & C’s of the radio Edit. From the age of 13 Rob was obsessed with making it in the music industry, at a time when the odds of an Irish rapper earning a salary were long at best. It’s something Paddy can relate to as no Irish fighter had ever made the UFC when he began fighting. Nucentz earned a reputation in the industry for doing things right, producing studio quality material when audio visual tech wasn’t anywhere near as accessible as it is now. Through his lyrics he captured the mood of a generation perfectly with a catchy social commentary & hard hitting punchlines. Listening back to ‘Sin City’ now there is a timeless quality to the song, with the outbreak of coronavirus, political turmoil & the impending recession, the lyrics have never been more relevant. Sin City was part of Byrne's work with Class A’z, an Irish rap collective. In 2011 Nucentz won ‘Ireland’s First Rap Superstar competition’ hosted by Spin 1038, which lead to a collaboration with Lupe Fiasco. The 2012 song ‘Had Enough’ was played reguarly across National radio, however Byrne reveals that he had little control over the single with the record label holding all the rights to the track. From day one, it was Rob’s aim to collaborate with star’s like Lupe Fiasco, however when he got there he realised he still wasn’t able to earn a sufficient salary from Rap. Despite further success with the song ‘Do You Really Love Me’, Rob was reaching burnout, having given everything for more than 10 years, coupled with the fact he had a young family to provide for, he made the difficult decision to walk away from the industry. Sometimes timing just doesn’t suit in life & for Rob it seemed as though his number was up. Now, almost 8 years later, Quarantine life has reignited the fire in his belly. What started off as a pet project has turned into a fully fledged comeback. He explains how a friend sent him a link to a microphone, which he went out and bought. Byrne started writing again, plugged the mic in & put a few tunes together. Incredibly, he is close to realising a new album, the lead single is being produced by DJ Flip, with actor & fellow Tallaght native Emmett Kirwan featuring in the official music video, a nice little No Shame Exclusive for you there. Rob believes there is a new maturity to his music while keeping the core essence of everything the fans loved the first time around. Nucentz is is looking forward to working with the new generation, with plans to collaborate with rap duo Versatile later in the year. The time of ‘making your own buzz’ has come, a time which has allowed the independent artists to thrive. Having helped pave the way for the modern Irish Hip-hop scene, there’s no doubt that Rob will be a massive asset to the current generation of talent. Everybody loves a comeback story & at just 33 years of age Byrne still has plenty of time on his side. In his own words 'the Coronavirus has awoken a sleeping giant', the second coming has arrived, Ladies & gentlemen, Nucentz is back. The full episode #122 of Paddy Holohan’s No Shame Podcast is available now across all the usual platforms including iTunes, Spotify & Youtube.

The Newshub poll last night confirmed what we all know.  This election is going to be very very close. This poll suggest Labour and the Greens could lead alone together.  Earlier polls suggest that national and Act could lead alone. So it’s swinging back on forth on a knife edge.  The swinging voters and the strategic voters have never been more important.  As few as 10,000 voters will effectively decide the next government. So there was debate on the radio this morning about the government and time and time again callers returned to the old fallacy that somehow this government is undemocratic because the party that got the most votes last election did not form a government. When National Party voters get that resentment out of their system, they will have a clearer mind on how to support their party. To make it perfectly clear, a sizeable majority of New Zealand voters last election voted against a National Government. Labour and the Greens campaigned against the government.  But so did New Zealand First. They campaigned against high immigration numbers, just like Labour, unlike National. They campaigned for rail, just like Labour, unlike National. And on many other fronts. To make it perfectly clear to you, the New Zealand First slogan was “Had Enough?”. Obviously of a National Government and the constant refrain was that it was time, after nine years of National, for a change.Throughout it was clear they were going to change the National Government’s policies. Either by joining them in a coalition and effecting change that way.  Or joining another coalition and getting rid of them entirely. Which is what they did. From what I heard, National was very loathe to change their policy settings for New Zealand First so there was never a point to it so off they went to a party they had more in common with..But this makes the next election fascinating in that New Zealand First will be campaigning against change. They’ll be campaigning for their policies rather than against someone else’s. That’s not their natural position so what will they do? We’ll find out.Meanwhile, rather than moaning about New Zealand First’s decision two years ago I wish that National and it’s supporters got over it.  Realise where they went wrong.  Stop blaming others and start figuring out a way to ensure they get back on the treasury benches

Had Enough was originally started in October of 2008 and while it has been described as Alternative / Hip Hop those terms do not fully encompass the basis of the style. Had Enough is a 2 time We Are Tulsa Music Awards Winner and composes all his lyrics based on real life scenarios and his albums are griping tales of reality. Based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma he has enjoyed playing at a number of different venues and can often be found at the local small club on the weekend. Being in touch with his fans drinking a beer or talking about the latest escapades of life. While his style is hard to describe in genre terms it is extremely catchy and you will find yourself singing the lyrics. Mainly touring in the Midwest, Had Enough is looking to expand his horizons to all over the United States. A down home artist that has not forgotten his roots has performed at house parties, basement shows, gentlemen clubs, pizza restaurants, river park festivals and several charity events. Another concert report on a Beatles tribute supergroup, with Todd Rundgren, Christopher Cross, Badfinger's Joey Molland, Chicago's Jason Scheff, and Micky Dolenz! (Micky sang "Rocky Raccoon," and no one else is allowed to sing "Rocky Raccoon" anymore.) Kornflake hits the road again, does not find the Swan Boats, but does find coffee approved by the Godfather of Punk! We wish a Happy Birthday to one third of Wilson Phillips! A Halloween edition of the Pudding Pages leads to a discussion of something truly terrifying, the McRib! But nothing is more terrifying than the Top Ten songs this week in 1988! On today's episode I talk to Jennifer and Jessica Clavin of the indie rock band Bleached. Born in California and based in Los Angeles, Jessica and Jennifer began playing music as teenagers, and eventually formed the punk band Mika Miko in 2003. The band released a number of albums and EPs on labels like Sub Pop and Kill Rock Stars, but broke up in 2009 due to band members' wishes to return to school and work on other projects. Two years later, Jessica and Jennifer formed Bleached, and since then have released three albums on Dead Oceans, including their latest Don’t You Think You’ve Had Enough?, which is out tomorrow! Bring Me The EphodWhat Is An Ephod? Also put the Urim and the Thummim in the breastpiece, so they may be over Aaron's heart whenever he enters the presence of the LORD. Thus Aaron will always bear the means of making decisions for the Israelites over his heart before the LORD. Exodus 28:30Your Ephod Is Your Way Of Seeking God’s Decision. (1st Brainerd Story)1 Samuel 30:3-8 AMP3When David and his men came to the town, it was burned, and their wives and their sons and their daughters had been taken captive. 4Then David and the people who were with him raised their voices and wept until they were too exhausted to weep [any longer]. 5Now David’s two wives had been captured, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess and Abigail the widow of Nabal the Carmelite. 6Further, David was greatly distressed because the people spoke of stoning him, for all of them were embittered, each man for his sons and daughters. But David felt strengthened and encouraged in the Lord his God. 7David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, “Please bring me the ephod.” So Abiathar brought him the ephod. 8David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this band [of raiders]? Will I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you will certainly overtake them, and you will certainly rescue [the captives].”1 Samuel 22:9,10 9But Doeg the Edomite, who was standing with Saul’s officials, said, “I saw the son of Jesse come to Ahimelech son of Ahitub at Nob. 10And Ahimelech inquired of the Lord for him, and gave him provisions and the sword of Goliath the Philistine.1 Samuel 22:16,18,2016But the king said, “You will surely die, Ahimelek, you and your whole family.”18So Doeg the Edomite turned and struck them down. That day he killed eighty-five men who wore the linen ephod. 20But one son of Ahimelek son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped and fled to join David.“Bring Me The Ephod.” “I’ve Had Enough.” “I Won’t Be A Victim.” “I’ll Take God’s Decision.” “Bring Me The Ephod.” A Victim Is A Person Without A Decision From God.10 Signs You Are A Victim:1. You complain rather than act.2. You talk about the same problems.3. You are never able to get to resolution.4. You are always looking to people to save you.5. You don't accept responsibility (always something or someone to blame). | 6. You take more than you give.7. You are uncomfortable with being emotionally well.8. You are in crisis more than not.9. You make people around you tired.10. You tend to harm others rather than show mercy.1 Samuel 23:6,9,15,16 NIV6Now Abiathar son of Ahimelek had brought the ephod down with him when he fled to David at Keilah.9When David learned that Saul was plotting against him, he said to Abiathar the priest, “Bring the ephod.”15While David was at Horesh in the Desert of Ziph, he learned that Saul had come out to take his life.16And Saul’s son Jonathan went to David at Horesh and helped him find strength in God.2 Samuel 6:14,1514Wearing a linen ephod, David was dancing before the Lord with all his might, 15while he and all Israel were bringing up the ark of the Lord with shouts and the sound of trumpets. 10 Signs You Are A Survivor:1. Mike Ayley the bass guitarist of the Canadain pop rock band Marianas Trench called the Monkeys Fighting Robots hotline to talk with Matt Sardo about the band's SPF 80s tour that kicked off this week and how to survive in a band for 13 years. Any band that likes 'The Goonies' has to be pretty entertaining. Marianas Trench's latest album Astoria comes from Astoria, Oregon, the hometown of 'The Goonies.' The band also has a talent for over-the-top, pop culture referencing music videos. One part 1980s fantasy adventure film and one part classic Marianas Trench, Astoria “is about completely falling to pieces, and picking yourself back up again,” reflecting on frontman Josh Ramsay’s own personal journey. Marianas Trench has two Certified Platinum albums in Canada, as well as many chart-topping hits, including “Fallout,” “Haven’t Had Enough” and “Stutter.” Ramsay also received a Grammy nomination in 2013 for co-writing and producing Carly Rae Jepsen’s breakthrough smash, “Call Me Maybe."
