He headlined as Ted Hanover in Holiday Inn, winning the Chita Rivera Award, and also appeared in Godspell (Jesus) and In the Heights (Usnavi). Additional stage highlights include Hairspray (Seaweed) and Mamma Mia! (Sky) at the Hollywood Bowl. In 2018, he played Don Lockwood in Singin' in the Rain at The Muny and Billy Crocker in Anything Goes at Arena Stage, earning a Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Lead Actor. Follow the homies Cam (Cameron Cox) and Dylan (Dylan Hernandez) two former AMC Theater employees as they take a nostalgic trip back in time to rewatch films that mean the most to them! This movie we decided to discuss is the LEGENDARY, "High School Musical". High School Musical is a 2006 American musical television film produced by and aired on Disney Channel as part of the network's slate of original television films. The first installment of the High School Musical series, the film was directed by choreographer and filmmaker Kenny Ortega from a screenplay by Peter Barsocchini. It stars Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Alyson Reed, Corbin Bleu, and Monique Coleman. High School Musical follows student Troy Bolton (Efron), the captain of his school basketball team, and Gabriella Montez (Hudgens), an academically gifted transfer student, who together audition for the lead roles in their school musical, causing division among the school's cliques. I am embarrassed to admit that I am one of those weirdos that has never seen "High School Musical." That is until I saw the most amazing woman on TikTok just slaaayyying her dance moves. I did the completely normal thing and Googled her and found out that KayCee Stroh played Martha Cox in all of the "High School Musical" movies. So I watched the movies and now feel completely qualified to comment on this pop culture phenomenon that millions of other people have known about for decades. I'm old, people. Cut me some slack! KayCee Stroh as Martha Cox in 'High School Musical' I had the best time talking to KayCee about her unique audition for HSM and the inspiring thing choreographer Kenny Ortega said to her that stays with her to this day. We talked about what's it like to be plus size woman in Hollywood, and the crazy things people have said to her about her weight. Seriously, what IS wrong with people? KayCee also talks about her life long love of dance and if her little girls, Zetta and Lettie caught the dance bug. HOLLYWOOD - MAY 13: (L-R) Actors Kaycee Stroh, Monique Coleman, Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Anne Hudgens, Zac Efron and Lucas Grabeel attend the after party for the DVD launch of "High School Musical" on May 13, 2006 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Stephen Shugerman/Getty Images) KayCee currently lives in Utah with her husband and 2 girls and after our conversation I was really wishing she lived in LA. I know we would have impromptu dance parties with our girls and sneak out for coffee dates on the regular. For now, I'll just continue to be her biggest fan on TikTok (we are both addicted) and look forward to her next visit to LA. You can listen to this episode on Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Don't forget to subscribe and leave a review!  You can follow KayCee on TikTok and Instagram to dancing along with her!

Most of his childhood and adolescence (12 years) was spent in Vancouver, Washington. A week after Darin's seventeenth birthday, his father died of a heart attack. As the youngest and last of five children in the home, Darin became the man of the house. The school stage is where Darin's passion for acting began but he was also very into sports. After playing college football at Brigham Young University-Idaho, Darin finished his BA at the University of Utah. His football days led to his first acting role in the Disney film "Going To The Mat," working with Khleo Thomas as the football jock, "Yardley". The following year, Darin booked another role in Disney's "Halloweentown High," where he worked with Academy Award Nominated, Debbie Reynolds, as well as Teen Choice Nominated, Lucas Grabeel. Southam read for the role of Wylie in Disney's "Buffalo Dreams" and had the director all but convinced until he was asked his age (being 25 at the time). Though Darin is typically cast in younger roles, in this case, the director took Darin's age a bit too literally. Darin took a few roles in independent films and then landed a lead role in Discovery Channel's "I Shouldn't Be Alive."In spite of his brewing film success, with a young family, Darin relocated to California to pursue a law degree. Shortly after moving, he booked a role in "127 Hours" where he worked with Golden Globe Winner (and Academy Award Nominated), James Franco. Although the role turned out to be smaller than anticipated, as the entire wedding scene was cut from the final edit, it did steer Darin from law school. He withdrew after one semester to attend Playhouse West Acting School in North Hollywood. While studying there, he booked roles in a number of films, including the mountain man scout Ephraim Hanks in "Ephraim's Rescue," where he showed his ability to carry a film. Later, Darin was also direct-cast as a younger character version of PT Emmy Nominated, John Heard, in "Counting For Thunder." Not letting his law background go to waste, Darin followed by landing a supporting role as the lead Defense Attorney in "Just Let Go," where he worked opposite Emmy Nominated Henry Ian Cusick and Sam Sorbo (Jenkins). Most recently, Southam worked opposite Teen Choice Winner, Josh Lucas, on Yellowstone.Darin is also the writer and director of over 30 commercials and short films, including the third all-time highest funded short film on Kickstarter in 2017, "Reign of Judges: Title of Liberty Concept Short".- IMDb Mini Biography By: agent /publicistSupport the show (http://www.bookofmormonevidencestreaming.com)

Eric Baines is a multi talented musician who cut his teeth in the fertile Denver music scene of the mid to late ‘90s. The time he spent with Chucky and The Cyclones, Tracy Edwards, Steve Crenshaw as well as his own group ,The Fringe, ultimately lead to him playing with Kyle in The Creighton Holley Band as well as Kyle Roberts Blues Revival. But Eric always had his sights set a bit higher than all that. After playing for a time with Nelson Rangell he relocated to L.A. in the early 2000’s  and hit the ground running. His resume reads like a who’s who of noted jazz, pop, rock and country artists. Keiko Matsui, Baby face, Lee Ritenour, Lucas Grabeel, Greg Karukas, Hugh Masakela, Melissa Manchester and many many more. Currently Eric holds down the bass and back up vocals in Dwight Yoakam’s band. He also continues to write and produce his own music and has a podcast he’s kicking off of his own called The Dive Bar Rock Star Podcast. It was great to sit down and kick it with him talking about the old days in Denver and the wild ride he’s been on since leaving for L.A.

But we included a preamble of sorts before the show to encourage you to get involved! Here is a comprehensive link to resources and ways to get involved. And here are two black trans women specific organizations that you should consider donating to as well: The Marsha P Johnson Institute and the TGI Justice Project. On to the show notes! We discuss how freaking hot Zac Efron is, the strange high school these kids go to, and obsess over Lucas Grabeel and his portrayal of the best character in the franchise, Ryan Evans.
