On this episode today we are joined by Senior Pastor Paul Gruenberg, Associate Pastor Jeremy Touroo, Youth & Family/ Worship Director Jordan Kettlewell and moderator Dana Hall. Thanks for listening and we pray this podcast encourages you and helps grow your walk in the Lord! God bless!Ch. 17-18 Notes17 Babylon, the Prostitute & the Beast Describe Babylon what has it meant throughout the Bible. V. 8 Predestination (God chooses who in Book of Iife or God knows who will be in Book of Life.  Talk about here and reference Chapter 20?Chapter 18 Lament Over Fallen Babylon Warning to Escape Babylon's Judgment (v.4, can people still be saved here?) Threefold Woe Over Babylon's Fall Finality of Babylon's Doom Podcast Addendum/ correction:Jenkens/LaHaye are fiction writers of the 'Left Behind' series, not Biblical scholars. God wrote the Bible in Greek and Hebrew, not in English. There is 0 Biblical evidence of 'Pretrib'. It is based on misinterpretation of English scriptures, such as Rev. 4:1. The 'Restrainer' in 2 Thessalonians 2:6 is the 'man of sin' in v3 restraining Christians, not the Holy Spirit restraining sin in this world! He does not do that! The pronoun 'him' has been added to v6 in the English scripture. It does not exist in the original text! (See Acts 17)Podcast Addendums/ corrections from the author Cindy Miller:1. General Allenby rode white horse into Jerusalem at the end of WW1, not Willoughby. I have been reading 'Mr. Willoughby's Christmas Tree' story to my grandson. I did not realize how confused/senile I have gotten!2. Lampstands represented churches in Rev. 1, not candelabras.3. Jenkens/LaHaye are fiction writers of the 'Left Behind' series, not Biblical scholars. God wrote the Bible in Greek and Hebrew, not in English. There is 0 Biblical evidence of 'Pretrib'. It is based on misinterpretation of English scriptures, such as Rev. 4:1. The pronoun 'him' has been added to v6 in the English scripture. It does not exist in the original text! (See Acts 17)The Apostle Paul wrote both Romans 1:18 (restrain the truth in unrighteousness) and 2 Thessalonians 2:6 (restrainer). He uses the same word for 'restrain' in both passages. He meant the same thing! Not opposites! (Please see attached article.)All of the Biblical fathers, Josephus, Wycliff, etc., understood 2 Thessalonians 2:6 to be referring to the 'man of sin' in v3. Wycliff said in his commentaries that the 'Restrainer' was the Pope restraining true Christians!

We tend to talk a lot about property on this Podcast, but the aim of property investment is to give you the financial freedom that leads to Iife choices The truth is that your superannuation balance is unlikely to be sufficient to cover your desired living expenses in retirement, and it's possible that by the time you choose to retire, the government will have changed the superannuation laws. Today, I discuss superannuation funds with independent financial adviser Stuart Wemyss, director of Prosolution Private Clients, including the possibility of an additional stream of income that he calls a third super fund. So prepare to ease your retirement fears, as we dive into the nuances of a third super fund and navigate the shifting government rules around superannuation. We'll also examine what you might need to maintain your living standards in retirement, and the average super balance you should aim for at retirement. As Stuart and I discuss today, your financial freedom in retirement may depend on thinking beyond the traditional super fund. All the links - Linktr.ee/barbarafaison When I wrote my book, Why Struggle? Iife is too short to wear tight shoes, I wanted it to be a reference for myself and for others. I envisioned someone picking up the book, reading one of the principles, the practice and speaking the affirmations out loud. So, let's do that. Enjoy this excerpt from my book called,  Self-Confidence is Like the Weather Some days I wake up feeling fantastic! Some days I don't feel as great when I wake up. It's okay. Life is still happening all around. Self-confidence and self-esteem are like the weather. Hot, cold, cloudy or rainy – the weather is always changing. Some days we feel great about ourselves. Other days, we want to crawl back under the covers and wait for a new day. When I'm having a particularly challenging day, I go to bed as early as I can. Oftentimes, if I can, I will take a nap. There is something about sleeping that mentally shifts my energy and helps me move forward. I am comforted by knowing that tomorrow is a new day and there's a 50/50 chance the sun will shine. Always know there are other people having stormy days just like you. Look at yourself in the mirror and be grateful to be alive. Practice: Look at yourself in the mirror daily. Look for all the lines, wrinkles, and perfections. Affirm aloud, “I love all of me - body, mind, and spirit.” Affirmation: I accept myself for the beauty I have to offer and I share myself with the world. Here's a little backstory for you. When I wrote the book in 1999, I used exercise instead of practice and I missed an error. It was supposed to be - look for all the lines, wrinkles and imperfections. When I updated the book to the new edition in 2017, I kept the word perfections because we are all just perfect as we are. In Part 3 of the celebration of the life of George Shultz, we look back at one of the singular, major events of the Cold War in which George Shultz was a major participant.  For a couple of days in October of 1986, four men met and changed the direction of the world. The two leaders President Ronald Reagan and Soviet General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev and their two chief diplomatic aids Eduard Shevardnadze and George Shultz met to have discussion about Arms Control. It was hastily called and had no real big agenda in place. It turned out to have a really big agenda. It saw the two leaders of the two Nuclear Super Powers start negotiating way out in front of where the career diplomats actually were and it was then and there that Gorbachev offered up the biggest most sweeping arms control proposal ever offered up in the history of negotiations. But Ronald Reagan turned it down to protect his Strategic Defense Initiative, basically a missile defense shield from outer space, often derided as a "Star Wars" pipe dream. Reykjavik was widely criticized and seen as a failure at the time, but it was where the groundwork was laid for the end of the Cold War and all the breakthroughs to come. Eventually the Soviet Union would be dissolved, the Berlin Wall would fall and the last act of Mikhail Gorbachev as the Premier of the Soviet Union, on Christmas Eve 1991, would be to call President Ronald Reagan's successor George H.W. Bush to tell him of the dissolution of the Soviet Union. And it all began at the Höfôi House in Reykjavik , Iceland. We relive that summit here in Part 3 of the look back at the remarkable life of George Shultz.

(function foo() { return bar; })(); Plugin jQuery qui s'appelait à travers jQuery (function ( $ ) { $.fn.greenify = function() { this.css( "color", "green" ); return this; }; }( jQuery )); Les principaux types de modules : CommonJS: require('..'); module.exports = ...; - AMD (Asynchronous Module Definition): ```js define(['dep1', 'dep2'], function (dep1, dep2) { //Define the module value by returning a value. return function () {}; }); UMD (Universal Module Definition): (function (root, factory) { if (typeof define === "function" && define.amd) { define(["jquery", "underscore"], factory); } else if (typeof exports === "object") { module.exports = factory(require("jquery"), require("underscore")); } else { root.Requester = factory(root.$, root._); } }(this, function ($, _) { // this is where I defined my module implementation var Requester = { // ... }; return Requester; })); ESM (EcmaScript Modules): compatibilité 92% https://caniuse.com/es6-module import toto from ...; export default ...; Browserify (js + plugin pour autre fichier) première release en 2011. Uniquement JS. Paul Keursten, CEO and Co-founder of Workshop17 is all about vision, innovation and connecting people. And true to his nature, he started a business that reflects everything he believes in. He has this absolute belief that you must live a meaningful Iife that will make an impact on those around you. And he lives up to his own belief. Paul is one of those rare people who leads by example and only demands from others that which he is prepared to do himself. He encourages you to find what you love and do it with all your heart. Live with authenticity, inspire, motivate and create, and success will find you. When he shared a vision for Workshop17, an office space where the CEO and the guy from the Cape flats can meet and collaborate, it was, it seemed like just another unrealistic idea. But he went ahead and together with Mark Seftel used their money to invest in Workshop17. It was a huge risk that they took, but exactly the kind of thing that Paul would do because true to his nature he believes that you must put your money where your mouth is. That was eight years ago. And the business has grown so much since then. Many lessons were learnt, many mistakes were made but Paul kept on building that dream of an innovative workspace where you create, innovate and just have fun. He explained that is unthinkable to him to spend hours in traffic, go to a job that you hate, and working in an ugly space that drains you. He believes you deserve more and better because life is too precious to spend even one day being miserable. His vision was to create beautiful spaces where you will enjoy spending time , where creativity is fostered and people are connecting on a personal level. In short, a space where good things happen, and no two days are the same because each day is filled with unexpected developments that even he could never imagine in his wildest dreams. Paul and Mark poured their hearts into building a business from scratch, by introducing a totally new concept to South Africa, and it paid off wonderfully. The spaces of Workshop17 reflect the love and dedication of the founders and the energy they bring to every aspect of the business. Covid-19 has not been kind to them but after the initial setback they re-invented themselve and started re-thinking the business to deliver an even better service to their clients. Paul thrives in an environment where there are trust and mutual respect and where you feel free to be who you are. In this interview with Paul there was so much wisdom and honesty, and lessons that I personally took to heart. I hope you enjoy this podcast and find inspiration in the words of Paul Keursten, CEO and CO-founder of Workshop17. ANd hopefully you would want and go experience Workshop17 for yourself.

We all seem to get ideas in our head, a timeline our life should follow, and if we don’t hit those benchmarks, we area failure or can’t move onto the next phase. What moments in your Iife haven't gone as expected? they made you who you are today so you wouldn’t want to change them. I love that God has a way of humbling us or showing us that we Really ARE capable of handling yet one more thing on our ever growing to do list. Find that internal desire to help the world, yourself or your family and just turn up the volume until it drowns out the others. Why doesn’t the perfect time exist? Well think of all of the excuses you tell yourself for not doing something. What are they? Most of the time they are something like; not enough time, money , work too much, not working enough, no experience, don’t know where to start. I guarantee there is a solution to your excuses. You just have to do a little digging. think of a time that life something at you and your initial thought was “I’m not ready”. And you know what you did when you realized you gotta do it one way or another? You made it work nothing anyone does is going to always be pretty or perfect. Real life is full of learning experiences some call mistakes. My challenge for you this week is to 1. Let go of your written in stone timeline and understand that it is on paper and will get rewritten, and rewritten, and rewritten, and rewritten. 2. Start blasting your own voice with your dreams in your head, not the one saying you can’t do it or deserve it. 3. When life isn’t going picture perfect… just go with itAnd adjust from there. Its easier to try and slowly change directions of a boulder rolling down a small hill than to completely stop_ it and push- it back up.
