Essas e outras notícias você confere no Morning Show.

In honor of my 40th anniversary with WGTD (my first day at the station was May 27, 1986), I'm replaying some noteworthy Morning Show interviews from the past. This interview with Oscar and Tony Award-winning actor Alan Arkin is one of the richest conversations I ever had with someone from the world of entertainment. The occasion of this interview was the publication of his memoir "Alan Arkin: An Improvised Life" in 2011.
In honor of my 40th anniversary with WGTD (my first day with the station was Ma7 27, 1986) I'm replaying some noteworthy Morning Show interviews from the past. In my spoken introduction, you'll hear why I chose to include this interview with Dr. Angelo Volandes, author of "The Conversation."
In honor of my 40th anniversary at WGTD (my first day with the station was May 27, 1986) I have been replaying some noteworthy Morning Show interviews from the past. For this seventh and final day in this special series, I have chosen this interview from 2002 with Richard Blow, former editor of GEORGE magazine and a friend of John F. Kennedy Jr. Blow's book "American Son" is an illuminating portrait of JFK Jr. from someone who knew him well and also worked side by side with him. At one point during the interview, Blow paid me a rather lavish compliment- and that was a powerful moment for me because it gave me a new sense of confidence about doing this challenging work. I've received a few more compliments in the years since, but this one is the sweetest of all because it was the first.

Essas e outras notícias você confere no Morning Show.
(00:00 - 2:43) It's Thursday! Bridgewater police responded to a report of a camouflaged, bazooka-wielding man last week and instead found a landscaper carrying a leaf blower, according to officials(2:43 - 8:45) Today's DM Disaster is from Allen! He had some damage on his roof from the last windstorm. He called his buddy to come take a look. He showed up with his new drone then asked if Allen wanted to fly it. Allen then crashed it into a tree and destroyed the drone! That's Allen's DM Disaster! (8:45 - 15:48) It's another round of Get to Know Adam 12! This time we had some listeners chimed in and asked a few questions. (15:48 - 19:48) Today's Supah Smaht player is Joe from Scituate. Find out if they were Supah Smaht! (19:48 - 23:04) Legal Sea Foods is now selling a massive lobster roll designed to feed eight people for a cool $375. That's roughly the cost of a decent airline ticket, a car payment, or three weeks of groceries. LBF and Adam 12 are not a fan of the price! (23:04 - 26:10) A 17-year-old Stoneham kid spent two years singing karaoke outside a shopping plaza, becoming a beloved local character and making shoppers smile along the way. Then police informed him he couldn't perform there anymore because of plaza rules, and the community immediately erupted in support. (26:10 - 31:10) The legendary Yankee Candle founder's 70-acre Western Massachusetts compound finally sold for $4.55 million after originally hitting the market at $23 million. That's an $18.5 million haircut on a property featuring a water park, bowling alley, arcade, golf course, concert venue, and enough amenities to entertain an entire zip code. Confira o debate. Essas e outras notícias você confere no Morning Show.

In honor of my 40th anniversary with. WGTD (my first day with the station was May 27, 1986)., I'm replaying some noteworthy Morning Show interviews from the past. I wanted to include one example of the rather rare interviews that were recorded away from our studios. I've chosen a interview I recorded back in 2008 in the home of theater organ afficionado Fred Hermes- who converted the basement of his home into a facsimile of a classic movie palace, complete with a 5-manual Wurlitzer Theater Organ.
The hosts discuss Apple TV shows they were late to, including The Morning Show and For All Mankind, and talk about Hail Mary Project, comparing the film's "E.T.-esque" choices to Andy Weir's book. They segue into UFO/alien "disclosure" chatter, mentioning Spielberg's upcoming Disclosure Day, the film Age of Disclosure, alleged legacy programs, and the idea that disclosure could distract from other news. The conversation returns to Apple and IT topics: an Apple fix for managed login window settings not resetting, a Family Sharing change allowing adult members to use their own payment methods, and why hidden Wi‑Fi networks trigger Apple security warnings. They share productivity tips, including a Shortcut to sort Contacts by creation date, NFC tag uses, remapping Safari's Quit shortcut, menu bar icon spacing via defaults write, Finder column auto-sizing, and Boring Notch. Jerry describes building a client podcast studio around the RØDECaster Video S and Rode support, then they explain using Adigy DDM to automate macOS updates and upgrades with policies, scheduling, and monitoring alerts. 00:00 Show Kickoff Banter 00:18 Apple TV Catch Up 02:12 Hail Mary Debate 04:25 Disclosure Day Talk 07:32 Mac Login Banner Bug 09:47 Family Sharing Payments 10:50 Hidden WiFi Warning 13:25 Contacts Sort Shortcut 17:47 NFC Shortcut Ideas 20:38 Safari Quit Remap 24:00 Menu Bar Icon Tools 24:56 Menu Bar App Trust 26:16 Declutter Menu Bar 27:09 Shrink Icon Spacing 29:04 Finder Column Autosize 30:28 Boring Notch Tricks 32:10 Building Podcast Studio 33:17 RodeCaster Video S 39:27 Video Podcasts Debate 41:51 DDM Updates Workflow 49:20 DDM Policies and Alerts 55:32 Wrap Up and Patreon
