The Paperboys is back! We are Bi-weekly to Bi-monthly at this point. New Commodor idea, Does skinman know them? and Andre Agassi news found here. Bunch of other dumb stuff too. This episode was filmed a week before its release to make sure it was not relevant in any way.
Last episode Coach decided he was a Villain, and now we join him after a week to see how its going. See how has his outlook on life changed as he process this new life. Since this was supposed to be a Paperboys episode but no Skinman (his co-host), Coach talks about all the things he would have if he was here. From Kid Rock touring for 25 year on 2 songs, to JD Vance dropping the NCAA Title and disconnecting with social media. Even with him not here, Skinman hate them all.
After a few week off, Skinman and Coach are back but not on the same page. Coach thinks he has some great ideas and Skinman hates them all. What have we been watching? Some kind of news and a pretty much a dysfunctional show in general. Its a good time.
Celtic road warriors, Cassie & Maggie, along with the Dropkick Murphys fend off political harassment to deliver the goods. We honour them this hour, along with new legacy Celtic from Cape Breton's Lucy MacNeil, westcoast wanderers, The Paperboys, and a spin from The Rough Guide To Irish Music. Coach and Skinman are joined live by the guys from 10four10, a 2 piece rock punk band out of Casper Wyoming. Joey and John are the Paperboys "test subjects" as the are the first band to preform via the internet live on the show. I wish the sound came out a little better but it was still bad ass. After rocking out they sit down late night style for an interview (our style) and then hand out for the rest of the show. They are some good ass dudes and we have a blast every time they are on. Google 10four10 or find them on all social media and streaming services. Upcoming tour dates below. 4/5 KIRKS GROCERY - BILLINGS, MT4/6 PARCHIGO - FARGO, ND4/7 THE BLOCK - SIOUX CITY, IA4/8 RAZOR WIRE - OMAHA, NE4/9 BOGEGA'S ALLEY - LINCOLN, NE4/10 SK8 BAR - KANSAS CITY4/11 THE DEN - SIOUX FALLS, SD4/12 HIDDEN SKATE PARK - DES MOINES, IA
(Audio only) If you know the show, you know that Coach has fought many fights with technology and lost most of them. This is another victory for technology, as coach messed up the audio on the video for the first half of the show. I will release the Video as well but the first 3 min suck. What you miss on video is Coach dressing like a Cowboy (kind of) and acting like a fool. Autographed Bob Ross Toast, hot tub talk and Skin news this week.
Coach changes the set again, Skinman has a skin cam now. News and too much about our lives and some other stuff this week. Plus Coaches trip to KC and did he get kick
Coach and Skinman took a break (due to reasons we kind of explain) and boy can you tell they are rusty (Really just Coach). From going live on the wrong Facebook to pushing the wrong buttons, some fun happen in there. Might be a little more regular with the weather changing and Skinman having the time.
Coach and Skinman are back at it after a break and Skinman finally comes up with Gas money to make it to the show. After Coach does a 3 part episode trying to figure out if Skinman is mad at him or not (instead of just calling him), Skinman is back and Coach is SO Happy. Question and answer from fans (kind of), Coach goes to the mall, Ambassador Hershel Walker and Whatcha Watching all on this episode. But who cares about that, Skinman is back! --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/themiddleoftheroad/support
Jeeps on dashes piss off coach, so do morning lottery people and also sports currently. New term for holding in a poop, only 11 football players able to play and they still win, and Whatcha Watching. Skinmain and Coach do a Paperboys special. Basically they missed each other and this is the only way they hang out. We are avoiding doing Ep. 100 so we are making up specials instead. Coach didn't tell TJ they were doing a show and he finds out on Facebook live (it was pretty funny). News, not current events, stories no one cares about and does Skinman know them? When the lights and camera come on and TJ is a no show the Paperboys come out to play. Skinman and Coach are left to their own devices again this week and they go news heavy like old-school. Bad hair cuts, shopping with Coach, drug and alcohol withdraws and Breaking news about Joey Chestnut (all American hero). Plus Skinman goes into news mode while Coach constantly ties and fails to mess him up and Coach had a idea to remove unwanted buildings and houses. Join us won't you. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/themiddleoftheroad/support
Coach and Skinman are left alone again this week and you know what that means. Its a Paperboys take over and Skinman is back to his Paperboy self, Coach is off the booze and the meds while TJ is in a bunker somewhere getting ready for the End of Days. Are the rugs in front of toilets the grossest thing ever? Find out why Coach had a chub during his recent Carlos O Kelly's visit and where Skinman has been. Plus a bunch of new, Whatcha Watching and a short round of messing with promoters. Always a blast to go back to the paperboys route for a visit. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/themiddleoftheroad/support
The disappearance of Eugene Martin on August 12, 1984, remains a haunting mystery in Des Moines, Iowa. Eugene, a 13-year-old paperboy, vanished while delivering newspapers, leaving enduring questions and a community seeking answers for decades. Despite extensive investigations and the involvement of federal agents, Eugene's case is still unresolved. The only clues left behind were witness accounts of Eugene speaking with an unidentified man early that morning and his abandoned newspaper bag found later. This case and the similar disappearance of another paperboy, Johnny Gosch, have sparked theories and continuous search efforts. The impact of Eugene's story extends beyond Des Moines, symbolizing the broader issue of missing children and the importance of community awareness and safety. Resources are available at the Iowa Cold Cases website and The Charley Project for more detailed information on Eugene's case. The guys come together after Thanksgiving to discuss the holiday and compare dinner plans. Skinman does a traditional "Skin family" beer rock Thanksgiving with pickled pigs feet and deviled eggs and 26 different deserts. Andy and his wife pocket the money donated for dinner and pick there meal up from the local food bank. Casey brags about running a 5k (not a marathon) and whines about his sports teams sucking like normal. With the holidays upon us we find stories of people trying to get food into the US, from 154 lbs of Mexican Bologna to meth transported in goat intestines and even a hungry meth (math) teacher. We wrap the episode up with top tech gifts for the Christmas season. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/monday-morning-papers/support

I denne episoden tok vi en prat med soulartisten Sofian Benzaim. Sofian starta musikkarrieren med bl.a. In the early 20th century, Einstein, Hubble, and other scientists confirmed the universe was expanding. With the exception of a few nearby galaxies, nearly all galaxies are moving away from us. Scientists have long been tempted by the challenging problem that arises from trying to measure how fast these galaxies are moving away, resulting in some fascinating findings. It turns out that by measuring the gravitational waves from colliding neutron stars, we might just find a better answer! Join us this week as Charlie dives into new research that improves humanity’s (and the Paper Boys’) understanding of our ever-expanding universe.Check out the CRAZY paper, old journal papers, news articles, and more at www.paperboyspodcast.com.Like this episode? Titan is the only moon in the solar system that has an atmosphere, and its origin is still a hotly studied mystery. However, ESA's Rosetta mission that landed on Comet 67P made some startling discoveries that made scientists rethink how Titan could be generating its nitrogen-rich atmosphere. In this episode of Paper Boys, Charlie dives into the journal paper behind these new revelations and goes off on science headlines that conjour up the imagery of "cooked organics." Today's story is about two unfortunate boys who fell prey to the devious hunger of human predators. However, their stories helped to develop the program where missing children were printed on the side of milk cartons and eventually helped give breath to our current Amber Alert system. This year it has been forty-one and thirty-nine years since Johnny Gosch and Eugene Martin have been seen. Their cases remain open but aren't actively investigated. They are believed dead by authorities. Were they victims of a lone hunter, or were they taken to be a part of the human trafficking circle?Discover more down the Hidden Staircase.Visit us online at: The Hidden Staircase
