What is the emotional need of a man? True or False? Men who express their emotions are often seen as weak. Because of that, many men neglect to show their emotions because they're afraid of the repercussions. However, suppressing emotions and feelings can be incredibly detrimental to a man's mental health.

Hello everyone! In this episode, let's take a look at the Microsoft Patch Tuesday August 2022 vulnerabilities. I use my Vulristics vulnerability prioritization tool as usual. I take comments for vulnerabilities from Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, ZDI and Kaspersky blog posts. Also, as usual, I take into account the vulnerabilities added between the July and August Patch Tuesdays. There were 147 vulnerabilities. Urgent: 1, Critical: 0, High: 36, Medium: 108, Low: 2. There was a lot of great stuff this Patch Tuesday. There was a critical exploited in the wild MSDT DogWalk vulnerability, 3 critical Exchange vulnerabilities that could be easily missed in prioritization, 13 potentially dangerous vulnerabilities, 2 funny vulnerabilities and 3 mysterious ones. Let's take a closer look. Watch the video version of this episode on my YouTube channel. Read the full text of this episode with all links on avleonov.com blog.

In the United States of America, it was once a crime to be Italian. That's what filmmaker Zach Baliva, director of the forthcoming documentary, “Potentially Dangerous,” reveals to our listeners in this all-new episode of The Italian American Podcast! As America crept closer to its second World War, the government grew suspicious of some citizens based not on what they had done, but on where they were from, registering more than 600,000 Italians and Italian Americans as “Enemy Aliens." Many were under curfew from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., and more than 10,000 individuals were forced from their homes and businesses. Hundreds were placed in military camps without trial. Zach recounts how he discovered the stories he shares in this documentary, which is one of the participants in the Russo Brothers Italian American Film Forum, an annual event created by Hollywood directors Joe and Anthony Russo (Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Endgame) in partnership with the National Italian American Foundation and the Italian Sons and Daughters of America to support projects that highlight the Italian American experience. But this is, after all, the Italian American Podcast, so we will get into a heated debate about this often under-studied period in Italian American history, and question whether the story of Italian internment was purely misguided overreaction, or if there might be a more complicated origin to this sordid tale. Be sure to listen to this episode filled with passionate discourse and intimate stories of a chapter of Italian American history that is not often discussed! Current publicly available Office of National Statistics Data of excess mortality including Corona show where there was a late or no lock-down around the world there were high initial peaks of excess mortality but now there are only seasonally normal rises in respiratory infections and deaths. In areas where there was strict lock-down or there was geographical isolation there was a low or no initial peak and now there are larger peaks relative to the previous group showing that they are in catch up and that once the virus has passed through we are seeing herd immunity. In fact in the US data shows that even now in California which had strict lock-down compared to Florida or New York with no and late lock-downs respectively although it is now having a moderately high peak there were higher peaks in 2017 and 2018 but nobody batted an eyelid. This is repeated in many other countries. Corona virus is larger than influenza and does not mutate as much making a vaccine even less necessary once it has passed through a population and there is a relatively high risk compared to influenza of Antibody Dependent Enhancement of Corona virus infection ie cross reactivity between parts of the virus and parts of the human body which may cause autoimmune disease as discussed in an article in Nature June 2020. We also ask why we are using a PCR test with a known high false positive in the community and a long lead time of up to 72 hr whereas the lateral flow antibody test is immediate and although slightly less sensitive can always be repeated 12 hrs later to confirm a negative test. Surely that is a more efficient way of getting an economy going. We also ask why international travel is being limited when corona is a pandemic ie all countries have it. You could not make this up.Brexit is heading towards an administrative disaster as preparations are in the nascent stages which at least is consistent with 3 years of chaos and squabbling which is the result of modern democracy ie self serving politicians subservient to the media which control the masses by repeat carpet bombing of whatever story line will sell the most. Therefore we have chaos destruction of common-sense and values that have created modern society ie culture, religious , moral, ethical which is business as normal for a modern materialistic democracy of instant gratification and rule of the rabble. It finished off its birth place Ancient Athens in short order and its doing the same now. What is to become of us? Drones of artificial intelligence algorithms weaving us an imaginary world of pleasure but not being human they wont realise it is not pleasure we seek but contentment . Not ecstasy but peace of mind. How to attain that for ourselves? Watch this space. In the meantime don't worry about Corona, respect other people's anxieties abide by the letter of the law and treasure your close family and friends over Christmas . We will back on the 9th January.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women have been asked to leave an area where an out-of-control fire has been burning for months. The fire, at a landfill site in Pukemiro west of Huntly, has been burning since August. A preliminary health assessment, ordered last week, says the recommendation is being made as a precautionary measure because the fire could be releasing dioxins into the air. Corin Dann asked Waikato DHB's Medical Officer of Health, Doctor Richard Hall, why it's taken so long for the advice to be released.

As you’ve most certainly heard by now, my wife, who is a complete Rockstar at her job, is coming back from China today. In fact, she’ll probably be walking in on the recording of the end of this episode. So another week, I’ve survived the challenges and championships of being a parent. Today, I chaperoned my daughter Lucy’s second-grade field trip to one of the history places in St. Paul. My wife does most of this stuff, since a lot of the times, I’m at a tournament or something. Today was great to see my daughter interact with her friends. She’s been through a lot already, but just one of those days where my own survival instincts and being overwhelmed by the sheer volume of fruit snacks and chattering seven-year-olds were in a cohesive balance. I’m Jason Bryant, this is Short Time Shots, a look at the scores and more from around the world of wrestling. Dual Meets: Limited night again with ranked Division I teams in action, we kick things off as No. 5 Nebraska got into the groove early, hosting a trio of non-Division I opponents in Lincoln. The Huskers only wrestled twice, beating a pair of Division II squads - Nebraska-Kearney 47-0 and Chadron State 37-3. Other outcomes saw Nebraska-Kearney blank NAIA Hastings 54-0 and Chadron State beat Hastings 45-3. Out in New York, No. 7 Wisconsin beat host Buffalo 33-3 at Mayhem on the Mainstage, another presentation of collegiate wrestling in a theater setting. Depending on what rankings you look at, there weren’t many ranked matchups here. Seth Gross beat Derek Spann 7-2 at 133 for the Badgers, while two-time All-American Evan Wick beat Troy Keller at 165. Loras, the top-ranked team in Division III, opened up its dual meet season with a 51-6 win over American Rivers Conference rival Buena Vista on Thursday. All nine wins from the Duhawks were bonus victories, including six falls. Keeping it D3, Wisconsin-Whitewater topped Wisconsin-Oshkosh 26-18. Mike and Devin Totorice were impressive for the Warhawks as Mike picked up a tech fall at 125 and Devin a major decision at 149. In the NAIA, the coaching debut of Steve Komac was a successful one as No. 16 Providence (Mont.) knocked off rival and No. 17 Montana State-Northern 25-22. Warner Pacific picked up a fall from heavyweight Cortez Rodelo in nine seconds to lift the Knights, spoiling the first dual in school history for host Corban University. Benedictine (Kan.) and Waldorf wrestled to a 5-5 split, but two forfeits were the difference as Benedictine, they’re the Ravens, nevermore, beat Waldorf 21-18. Now a run of mixed-divisional results, first in Ohio where former InterMat results maven Dan Ransick continues to be boiling mad, Division II Ashland topped NAIA Lourdes 29-12, with 2018 Division II champion Bret Romanzak picking up a 6-0 win at 174 pounds. In the Upper Midwest, Division II Northern State spanked Division III John’s – the one in Minnesota - 42-3. St. John’s Jacob Scherber won the bout’s first match at 174 pounds, but the next nine went the way of the Wolves. In keeping with the D2 over D3 theme, Mary defeated Concordia-Moorhead 28-6. The Marauders, yes, a name they share in wrestling with Millersville, put nearly 1,000 people in the stands on a Wednesday night where the November temperature is a paltry 19 degrees. Division III Central College shut out NAIA William Penn 52-0 in a matchup between a pair of Iowa schools. Daniel Radcliffe, no, not THAT Daniel Radcliffe, started a parade of pins from 141 to 165 and the DUTCH cruised. NJCAA Jamestown (N.Y.) beat Division III Pitt-Bradford, but we have to let them know their scored the dual wrong – you do NOT receive points for a double forfeit. It’s 0-0, not 6-6. Learned that in high school. Remember it well. I think the referee that dual was a guy named Jim Hedrick. Another junior college picking up a win was Labette topping Oklahoma Wesleyan of the NAIA 37-5. Out in California, two scores to report: Top-ranked Fresno City beat Chabot 45-6, while second-ranked Cerritos cruised past Rio Hondo 33-8. It’s almost midnight as I record this in Minnesota, so that’s my cut off for now. It’s like opening up the baseball page in the old newspaper, when you actually read a newspaper, and seeing “Late Thursday.” Well, yeah. Notables on the Docket for November 8: Friday will be a really light day as Wisconsin continues its eastward trip, wrestling Edinboro in an already sold out Saegertown High School gym. The biggest dual of the night is No. 17 North Carolina heading to Ann Arbor to face No. 19 Michigan. Neither team will be at full strength on paper, but it’s November. FROM THE DWN: Jaydin Eierman will be a Hawkeye. It’s all over the internet, so here’s a story about it from Flowrestling, one from com and why not, a link to Eierman’s Instagram. com’s Potentially Dangerous returns with a lot of takes on the happenings around Iowa wrestling, from the major college teams to the opens this weekend and some high school happenings, as well. IAwrestle also reported another Hawkeye commitment, as Caleb Rathjen also committed to Iowa on Thursday. In a bizarre story, the AP reported on the strange case of Alexis Vila, a 1993 freestyle world champion and 1996 Olympic bronze medalist, and his role in the plot to kill a South Florida interior designer. Vila later fought in various MMA promotions. You also might remember Vila ran his car into the terminal at the Fort Lauderdale airport in 2004. West Virginia’s Matthew Schmitt announced he will be taking the year off with an Olympic redshirt to train in Greco-Roman. Lehigh announced its December 6 dual with Penn State at Stabler Arena is now sold out. Speaking of tickets, Rutgers announced its season ticket number has exceeded 3,000. That’s pretty freaking good. The Predicament continues with its Senior Spotlight series. On Thursday, Central Lyon’s Jarrett Meyer, gets the look. Transition Wrestling gives us a look at the weekend action in women’s college wrestling coming up. The Open Mat’s Earl Smith gives us a tour of The Citadel on the most recent TOM Campus Visit feature. Earl was down there last week covering The Battle at The Citadel. The Tulsa World features former Oklahoma State Cowboy Kyle Crutchmer as he makes his MMA debut with Bellator on Friday in Thackerville, Oklahoma. While I said I wouldn’t link up things behind paywalls, I’ll make an exception if you have a subscription to high profile sports website, The Athletic. Today, Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto’s wrestling background is prominently featured. Realmuto is the nephew of the famous Smith brothers from Oklahoma. Yes, THOSE Smith brothers. Olaf alum Alex Morf pens a heartfelt and direct letter to the administration at the school in the Manitou Messenger, the school’s student newspaper. He starts off quoting John Irving. Even poor leaders like David Anderson might know who he is. On the Network Rob Waltko and Tristan Warner entertain you with a PA-centered recap of the weekend’s action on the PA Power Wrestling College Podcast. They’re joined by Clarion’s Brock Zacherl. If you’re not familiar with that show, all three of the show’s hosts, which include Mason Beckman as well, wrestled Division I and grew up in PA. It’s one of my favorite shows on the network. Technology is here to stay and leaves many parents wondering, what are they doing online? There are lots of questions when it comes to kids and online activities. We can't just bury our heads in the sand and hope for the best. Instead, we need to be proactive. Ask questions, and keep the lines of communication open. Kids are on social media, in chat rooms, and they're playing addictive video games. As parents, it's our job to stay on top of what kids are doing. We need to know who they are talking to online. Video Games You may be asking, "Will letting my child play violent video games make them more violent? Probably not, but psychologists agree it may be harming them in other ways" according to Nicole Beurkens, PhD, Clinical Psychologist. At first glance, it seems logical that more exposure to violence would lead to more violent behavior. But, given the massive exposure to violent games kids have, wouldn't kids today, after years of violent gameplay, be far more violent? Yet, they are not." Did you know that watching videos on YouTube is the main activity for kids aged 5 to 11, and one of the main activities enjoyed by all kids up to age 17? YouTube is the most used social network for kids aged 5 to 14 in Spain and all kids in the U.S. Kids with iOS devices spend a massive 40% of their time on YouTube, while 25% of active kid's devices report browsing activity on youtube.com. An announcement by Qustodio introduces a new feature for parents to monitor their children's experience on YouTube; to keep them safe from inappropriate and harmful content. Recently, Qustodio mined it's platform (see infographic at the bottom of this post) for data from 200,000+ users in the U.S. over one month and developed an infographic of its findings, including: Data shows a potentially dangerous discrepancy between which games kids play most and which games parents blockParents are blocking only half of the most addictive video games All of the top games kids play contain some violence The top 3 games played by girls: Roblox, Fortnite, MinecraftThe top 3 games played by boys: Roblox, Minecraft, Clash Royale In this episode of A Healthy Bite, Qustodio's Head of Product and Analytics, Manuel Bruscas, joins me for a chat about video game data and what their findings mean for parents. 15,000 violent crimes occur daily in the United States - it’s safe to say that all of us could benefit from learning how to protect ourselves in the event of an attack. David Nance, a nationally recognized personal safety expert and the CEO of SABRE Security Equipment Corporation, is here to teach us how to do exactly that. David, who has appeared on various TV stations and created programs that have certified over 5,000 law enforcement instructors worldwide, knows personal safety inside and out. Instead of focusing on protecting yourself through fighting, he emphasizes safety through distance -- which is something that pepper spray can help you accomplish. Throughout this episode, you’ll learn dozens of safety tips that seem small and simple individually, but may combine to help save your life someday. Find Out More About David Here: PersonalSafetyExpert on Facebook @DavidNancePSE on Twitter David Nance on LinkedIn SABRE Personal Safety Expert In This Episode: [01:54] - What should listeners know about self defense? We learn about having an action plan in place before you find yourself in the situation. [02:58] - David gives some key tips on how to stay safe in public. [04:24] - We hear about David’s personal experience with having needed to use pepper spray to get to safety. [05:48] - Antisocial and asocial people can pose different kinds of threats, but David points out the difficulty of figuring that out in a dangerous situation with a complete stranger. [06:32] - What are some techniques to use to create physical distance if someone has already invaded your space? Do you practice your plan? David answers, and gives further insight into how to keep yourself safe. [09:01] - David recommends pepper spray and pepper gel as things to have with you, because you can use them to protect yourself at a distance instead of engaging hands-on with an attacker. Alarms can also be helpful because they call attention to the situation. [10:39] - One of the benefits of pepper spray is that you’re justified in using it if you can later articulate that you felt unsafe or threatened in the situation (which of course is different from lethal force). [11:17] - David tells us more about the effects of pepper spray, as well as its benefits. [14:10] - It’s worth looking into local self-defense classes. David recommends Krav Maga, a system based on Israeli Defense Forces training. He also talks about the value of learning to defend yourself, and describes his own SABRE Personal Safety Academy class. [16:57] - We learn more about the techniques involved in using pepper spray well. [18:23] - David describes some parts of the body to go for if you’re forced into hand-to-hand combat. [20:03] - How do you recognize someone who might be intending to attack you? The answer is mostly to listen to your instincts. [22:32] - David’s most highly recommended book is The Gift of Fear, but he also suggests College Safety 101. He also recommends Guard Llama, which is a small device you can carry with you that lets the company contact the police on your behalf. [24:58] - Thanks to the number of property crimes committed daily, David also suggests having a home security system in place. He goes on to give some specific suggestions for keeping your home safe, like not having shrubs or hedges that block the view of your doors or windows. [29:20] - David advises caution when someone comes to your door without a scheduled meeting. Don’t let people inside even if they claim to be from a utility company, for example. [30:16] - We hear about the value of getting to know your neighbors and forming a sense of community and possibly a neighborhood watch group. [32:41] - David lists some online scams and social engineering tactics that we should all be on the lookout for. He and Stephan talk a bit about the IRS phone scams that have been going around. [35:12] - Stephan’s aunt was the victim of an email scam, and ended up losing several thousand dollars. In the ensuing exchange, we learn how important it is to fight with everything you have not to be taken away in a kidnapping, because if you get taken away you’re more likely to end up dead. [37:53] - What should you do if you end up being put in the trunk of a car? [40:14] - To see David’s safety videos, you can visit personalsafetyexpert.com. Get Optimized! Prepare an action plan for what you would do if you got attacked. Then visualize your plan in detail, to ingrain it in a way that will let you enact it automatically in an emergency situation. Make yourself a hard target. Be present, fully aware, and engaged in what you’re doing at all times, and practice projecting confidence as a deterrent to attackers. When possible in public, keep a 12-foot distance between yourself and anyone you don’t know. They will need to take two steps and then lunge to reach you, giving you time to react.
