DescriptionDo you ever feel like there's a specific area of your life where you struggle no matter what you do? I spent years doing all the “right” things—vision boards, affirmations, money mindset work, deep dives into my blocks, all in hopes of becoming someone who deserved abundance. But no matter how hard I worked, nothing changed the way I hoped. The promises of the law of attraction and prosperity gospel started to feel like gaslighting—like if it wasn't working, it must be my fault. I internalized it as failure, as proof that I was broken or cursed when it came to money. And it wasn't just the inner work—I worked hard in external ways too. I built skills, pursued opportunities, worked on professional growth, and still found myself hitting the same walls. It left me questioning my worth and wondering if success was only for people who already felt whole. But I'm learning that healing isn't a prerequisite for success or for being seen, respected, or loved. We don't have to be perfectly aligned or “fixed” to deserve a breakthrough. We can be in process and still be enough. We can be messy and still make progress. Our worth isn't something we have to earn—it's something we carry with us, something God has already give us, even when nothing's working out the way we hoped.Time Stamps Christian Emotional Recovery Resources Podcast WebsiteAccess Episodes, Get Free Resources, and More Facebook GroupJoin Community, Get Support, and Get Weekly Encouragement YouTube ChannelSubscribe for Exclusive Material Not on Podcast Christian Emotional Recovery StoreGet meditations, infographics, journals, and other resources for your healing journey Trauma SurvivorsCheck out Resources Page for Trauma Survivors Email ListGet updates on episodes, platform, resources, and products Free ResourceFree Visual A.C.O.R.N Resource to Heal Difficult Emotions Donate Monthly Through PatreonHelp More Trauma Survivors Through This Ministry ...
Description:If you're feeling tired from trying to hold everything together perfectly — you're not alone. In today's episode, we're having a real, honest conversation about what it looks like to choose progress over perfection. We'll be looking at it through three lenses: first, how perfectionism shows up for just about everyone when we tie our worth to our performance; second, how it runs even deeper for trauma survivors, where perfection sometimes became a way to stay safe or avoid harm; and third, how even in our Christian walk, perfectionism can quietly slip in and make us feel like we have to earn God's love — when the truth is, His love has never depended on our performance. Each of these journeys is different, but if you see yourself in any of them, know this: you are already loved, already enough, and you are not alone in this fight. Today, we're giving ourselves permission to grow at our own pace, trust God's grace, and celebrate every small, brave step we take.Breakdown of Episode1:17 Intro 3:27 General Perfectionism and Guarding Against Perfectionism21:55 Perfectionism as Christians and Pitfalls to Avoid39:55 Perfectionism as Trauma Survivors and Pitfalls to Avoid62:00 Practices to Overcome PerfectionismSEE RESOURCES HEREChristian Emotional Recovery Resources Podcast WebsiteAccess Episodes, Get Free Resources, and More Facebook GroupJoin Community, Get Support, and Get Weekly Encouragement YouTube ChannelSubscribe for Exclusive Material Not on Podcast Christian Emotional Recovery StoreGet meditations, infographics, journals, and other resources for your healing journey Trauma SurvivorsCheck out Resources Page for Trauma Survivors Email ListGet updates on episodes, platform, resources, and products Free ResourceFree Visual A.C.O.R.N Resource to Heal Difficult Emotions Donate Monthly Through PatreonHelp More Trauma Survivors Through This Ministry ...

When you've experienced trauma, it can be hard to separate who you are from what you've been through. The way trauma affects the brain can leave you with deep-seated beliefs that you are unworthy, broken, or beyond healing—but that isn't the truth. You can feel like you're always reactive, angry, and afraid. In this episode, we explore how trauma distorts self-perception and how both psychology and faith offer pathways to reclaiming your identity. We'll talk about how the brain forms false narratives around trauma, why healing requires both renewing the mind and restoring the nervous system, and how Scripture speaks directly to our worth and purpose. You'll also get practical exercises—like journaling through a new lens, reframing painful memories with God's presence, and using breath prayers to calm anxiety. If you've ever wrestled with feeling unseen, unworthy, or stuck in old patterns, this episode offers tangible steps to help you reconnect with who you truly are in Christ and in your intrinsic worth. Description:In this first episode of the season, we're tackling the impact of words—how well-meaning but uninformed people and abusers use language to dismiss, shame, or control survivors. These statements can keep you stuck in self-doubt and isolation, making it harder to trust yourself and your healing process. We'll break down common phrases that invalidate and gaslight, then reframe them with trauma-informed alternatives that affirm your experiences and support your growth. We break this down into two categories, phrases that well-meaning people who are not trauma-informed say and phrases that abusers use intentionally to cause harm. This episode is about recognizing the harm in these messages, rewriting the narrative, and choosing words that empower instead of diminish. Let's start this season by standing in truth and reclaiming the language of healing so we can live the lives God intended for us. It's our 50th episode of the Reimagine Childhood podcast! Thanks for making it this far with us. We hope it's been beneficial to you and those you are tending to. Today, I am going solo and diving into a topic that I am very passionate about–the importance of building strong partnerships between church weekday ministries and the overall church community. More than likely, your weekday program is serving both church members and non-church members, which means you have a prime opportunity to reach families who may not regularly attend church. I have found that many young families today prioritize activities, hobbies, and community outside of traditional church attendance and I firmly believe weekday ministries can be a vital link to connect these families with the church. Today we will discuss the importance of weekday ministries being deeply integrated into the mission and work of the church, rather than feeling like separate, disconnected programs. We will talk through not only why this is important, but also how you can go about creating a unified culture with your weekday and weekend ministries. I can't wait for you to tune in. HERE is a link to a list of ideas for connecting the families in your weekday ministry with your church family. Need more resources? Check out the Resources Page on our website! As always, we would love to connect with you on Instagram and on Facebook
Description:In this episode, we explore why the holiday season can be uniquely challenging for many, particularly those coping with grief, strained family dynamics, loneliness, trauma, financial stress, or mental health struggles. For many, the holidays are a time of joy, family, and the celebration of the birth of our savior. For others, the holidays can be more complicated. We discuss practical strategies to protect your emotional well-being, such as setting boundaries, managing expectations, creating space for rest and joy, and finding meaningful ways to connect with others. We also discuss how you can help others who may be going through similar challenges. Remember it's okay if you're feeling a lot of emotions during the holidays. Take time to feel these, while also finding ways to feel peace, joy, and comfort where you're at, even if the holidays can be difficult. By addressing these challenges with compassion and by being intentional, you can navigate the season more peacefully and create a sense of hope, safety, and healing for yourself and others, even amidst the challenges of the holidays.Breakdown of Episode1:17 Intro and Why We Are More Vulnerable During the Holidays 16:41 What You Can Do To Protect Yourself, Heal Yourself, and Make The Holidays Better for Yourself and OthersChristian Emotional Recovery Resources Podcast WebsiteAccess Episodes, Get Free Resources, and More Facebook GroupJoin Community, Get Support, and Get Weekly Encouragement YouTube ChannelSubscribe for Exclusive Material Not on Podcast Christian Emotional Recovery StoreGet meditations, infographics, journals, and other resources for your healing journey Trauma SurvivorsCheck out Resources Page for Trauma Survivors Email ListGet updates on episodes, platform, resources, and products Free ResourceFree Visual A.C.O.R.N Resource to Heal Difficult Emotions Donate Monthly Through PatreonHelp More Trauma Survivors Through This Ministry ...
Description:It can be easy to get caught up in what happened to us, in difficulties, and in the healing work so much, that forget why we're doing this healing work, to experience more joy! The following saying resonated with me and inspired this podcast: "You're not healing to be able to handle trauma. You're used to trauma. You're healing to be able to handle joy." Joy is one of the fruits of the spirit and a fruit of our healing labors. God wants us to not only experience joy, but to embody it. We cover why joy is so important in trauma recovery, how to avoid toxic positivity and bypassing when cultivating joy, and how to cultivate more joy in your life with the realities and unique challenges of being a trauma survivor in mind. As a survivor, it can be more challenging to experience joy, but like the rest of healing work, it is a skill that can be learned. You CAN live a joyful life, in spite of all that has happened to you.Breakdown of Episode1:17 Intro 4:40 Why Joy Is So Important in Trauma Recovery and Why Toxic Bypassing Doesn't Work11:52 Different Kinds of Joy18:30 Why Trauma Survivors Struggle More to Experience Joy and Starting Where You're At31:44 How to Embody Joy After TraumaTo access sources, go HEREChristian Emotional Recovery Resources Podcast WebsiteAccess Episodes, Get Free Resources, and More Facebook GroupJoin Community, Get Support, and Get Weekly Encouragement YouTube ChannelSubscribe for Exclusive Material Not on Podcast Christian Emotional Recovery StoreGet meditations, infographics, journals, and other resources for your healing journey Trauma SurvivorsCheck out Resources Page for Trauma Survivors Email ListGet updates on episodes, platform, resources, and products Free ResourceFree Visual A.C.O.R.N Resource to Heal Difficult Emotions Donate Monthly Through PatreonHelp More Trauma Survivors Through This Ministry ...

Description:Many of us heard growing up that self-care was "selfish" or "ungodly." However, no one can give from an empty well, and even Jesus escaped the crowds for rest, solitude, and time with God. We all need forms of self-care to heal and restore our bodies, minds, and souls. Healing from trauma requires a holistic approach to self-care, addressing all aspects of our well-being. There are six categories of self-care: physical, emotional, mental, social, spiritual, and practical. Each of these can be approached from a Christian perspective, especially for trauma survivors, to promote healing and growth. For survivors, it's crucial to approach these categories of self-care with patience and self-compassion. Healing is a gradual process, and integrating these practices into daily life can help rebuild a sense of safety, control, and well-being. Additionally, anchoring these practices in faith can provide a deep sense of purpose and connection throughout the healing journey.Breakdown of Episode1:17 Intro to New Episode 3:04 Why Self-Care Is Important6:30 The Six Types of Self-Care18:52 Six Types of Self-Care From a Christian Perspective and for Trauma Recovery CLICK HERE FOR SOURCES: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1JboZhwkIuEphtEeaQ-8jyLGHWv804Zk5LMMg-iWduLo/edit?usp=sharingChristian Emotional Recovery Resources Podcast WebsiteAccess Episodes, Get Free Resources, and More Facebook GroupJoin Community, Get Support, and Get Weekly Encouragement YouTube ChannelSubscribe for Exclusive Material Not on Podcast Christian Emotional Recovery StoreGet meditations, infographics, journals, and other resources for your healing journey Trauma SurvivorsCheck out Resources Page for Trauma Survivors Email ListGet updates on episodes, platform, resources, and products Free ResourceFree Visual A.C.O.R.N Resource to Heal Difficult Emotions Donate Monthly Through PatreonHelp More Trauma Survivors Through This Ministry ...
Description: While it's easy to go down a rabbit hole on the concept of narcissism, it's good to be empowered and educated and protect yourself from narcissistic behaviors in certain others. Please keep in mind that having a certain level of narcissistic traits can be healthy in a balance. However, narcissism exists on a spectrum with some people having higher narcissistic traits, and even some who have full blown NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder, which is in the DSM). We will go over the common categories of narcissists both in clinical and common spaces. Episode DescriptionMirror Neurons are one of the main parts of our brain that helps us with learning, cognition, empathy, and relationships. Mirror neurons are what help us respond to and learn from our caretakers as children and learn behavior through imitation, and they are involved in the development of our inner child. Understanding how mirror neurons impact these functions, as well as our childhood development and interactions with others, can help us understand what went wrong if we experienced traumatic events or abuse. Understanding what went wrong, we can also learn strategies to use our mirror neurons to heal our trauma through the body, brain, and neural network at its source. This episode explains these processes and gives you strategies for healing mirror neurons as well as an exercise to heal your inner child. Description:If you were raised in a family where people were narcissists or had high narcissistic traits, understanding the roles and relationship dynamics in a narcissistic family can help you understand your trauma and protect yourself now. When we say narcissistic family, this doesn't mean everyone is in the family has high narcissistic traits, but it means that one or more people does, either children, parents, or both, and this deeply impacts all family members. We discuss the roles children play in this family dynamic. Then we discuss narcissistic family dynamics in general and the unwritten rules and behaviors in this family structure. Lastly, we cover when a sibling has these traits and how this can impact others in the family and when a parent has narcissistic traits and how this impacts the family. While it isn't healthy to obsess over the narcissist, understanding these family dynamics, you can learn more about why you are the way you are, know it isn't your fault, love all people in your family in the best way possible, and start the healing process to set healthy boundaries and protect yourself. You can live the life God intended, because you are empowered and educated on this family dynamic. Episode DescriptionEven if we know it intellectually not to be true, trauma, abuse, and neglect survivors internalize blame when they are mistreated, particularly those who suffer from childhood abuses and narcissistic abuses. Knowing the difference between blame and self-validation, finding the balance between knowing what happened to you and taking ownership of healing, and finding the line between self-compassion and victim mindsets can make all the difference in your healing journey. It's important to know that two things can be true at once:Abuse is never your fault AND you can take ownership of your healing journey. You are enough AND feeling like it is your fault is normal when you've experienced abuse. You can acknowledge what happened to you AND not live in blame or victim mentalities.Breakdown of Episode1:17 Intro to Episode6:17 Do You Know It Wasn't Your Fault on a Body Level?11:42 Abuse is NEVER Your Fault14:56 What Is the Difference Between Blame and Validating Your Experience?SourcesThere are no sources for this episode. Description: An HSP, or Highly Sensitive Person, is a person who has been proven by science to respond to the world differently. You may be more sensitive to light, sound, stimuli, people, and the emotions of others. Being an HSP comes with a unique set of gifts and challenges. While you are more attuned to the beauty around you, you may also be more aware of the dangers. In this talk, we cover how HSP's are wired, the science behind HSPs, how you can protect yourself as an HSP, and how you can care for yourself as a Christian HSP so you can share your gifts, love and help others, protect yourself, and do the healing work, at the same time. We cover twenty-one strategies to protect yourself through boundary setting, self-care practices, and protecting yourself as a Christian HSP in particular. God made you how you are because He wanted you exactly as you are, and you have a right to protect yourself as an HSP so you can live a happy and productive life. Episode DescriptionWhy The Pursuit of Peace and Acceptance Is Everything discusses the nature pursuing of peace and acceptance, what it looks like through a beloved character, Winnie the Pooh, and how we can practice this simplicity and acceptance on our healing journey like Pooh, to help overcome trauma with more flow, ease, and simplicity. Overcoming trauma isn't easy, and sometimes life can be difficult, but we don't have to struggle against it. This adds to suffering, whereas acceptance and nonresistance bring peace. Then we discuss the wisdom of Ecclesiastes and how pursuing peace, acceptance, and simplicity are biblical concepts that can help us overcome trauma, struggle, and complicating situations. By pursuing peace, simplicity, and acceptance, we give ourselves a better foundation for effective trauma healing, and we live a more enjoyable life free of struggle and striving as God intended. Episode DescriptionIf you have experienced trauma, these experiences get stored in your body's memory, literally on a physical or somatic level. This unreleased trauma manifests in our emotions, behaviors, and health since it hasn't been resolved or released, and we pay a price. However, there is hope. We are not stuck with trauma. God has given us modern techniques to help us release trauma from the body. In Therapies and Practices to Release Trauma from the Body, we discuss how trauma gets trapped in the body based and it's impact on the brain, neural network, and our health. We then review practices you can use to release trauma somatically from the body to help you heal complex trauma, going more in-depth on how trauma releases from the body from a physiological standpoint. Lastly, we discuss therapies that can help us release trauma from the body, including using biofeedback to monitor physical responses as we release trauma and do healing work. God has given us tools to help us release trauma we never asked for, and there is hope to live the life God meant for us to live. Episode DescriptionIn Coming out of the F.O.G., we discuss the acronym, Fear, Obligation, and Guilt, which creates the acronym F.O.G. Much like the word "fog," emotional manipulators will often use fear, obligation, and guilt to confuse and control people, particularly those who are sensitive, compassionate, empathetic, and may be prone to codependency. This can make sensitive Christians especially vulnerable, since they tend have a strong level of conscientiousness. Manipulators like to use tactics that will make others question themselves and their motives, often using gaslighting to keep the other person off balance. Though we are called by God to help others, it's important we examine our motives. If others are exploiting our good will with guilt to get us to do things, this is not from God. Knowing the strategies that emotional blackmailers use will help you to identify their tactics, respond constructively, protect yourself, and get your life back, so you can live the life God intended you to live. You can be free of these tactics and help others knowing your motives come from genuine love and care for others. Episode DescriptionThis week, this episode reminds you of your worth, both in Christ and your intrinsic worth. Your value comes from both the fact that you are in Christ and that you are you. Sometimes we need to be reminded that we are worthy, that we have unconditional value at our core, and that nothing that has happened to us or that we feel changes that. We may have been programmed with trauma, but our worth and core identity is still the same. Just as God and His love for us don't change, neither does our worthiness. We matter, we are loved, and God loves us, and sometimes we just need to remember this. Episode DescriptionIn Subtle Types and Forms of Abuse and What to Do About Them, we discuss the hidden nature of certain types and forms of abuse and why these forms of abuse often go unnoticed, why the survivor doesn't always believe it is abuse, and how certain people use these forms sow doubt and confusion in the survivor as a form of control and manipulation. The unique nature of this kind of abuse is often unnoticed or not believed by outsiders. However, by learning to identify and understand these forms of abuse, we are able to understand what is happening to us if we are in a situation with hidden and subtle abuse, while distinguishing between abuse and normal human flaws in a relationship that we all have. When we can identify these forms of abuse and call them by their name, we can validate our experiences, know our experiences are real, seek help and resources that can help us untangle this confusion, and get our lives back so we can find clarity and safety in our lives, living the life God intended us to live. As part of our series of behind the scenes podcasts about Alex and Mosheh's pregnancy journey in 2023, we spoke with one of the midwives who cared for her. This episode features an interview with Christina McPherson, a certified nurse-midwife, about the midwifery care model, and the state of maternal health in the US. We discuss everything from the increasing C-section rates in the US, the history of why the use of midwives is much higher in the rest of the world vs. the US and the overall holistic care model. It turns out that we conducted this conversation just days before Alex delivered Baby Olivia. Alex shares a lot of resources and tips during the conversation, which she started putting together here. (Resources Page). She also has saved fertility & pregnancy story highlights on her Instagram page @alsall. You can learn more about midwives at www.midwife.org. Episode DescriptionIn Trauma Reenactments, we discuss what trauma reenactments are, why they happen, and practices to help us identify, stop, and prevent them from happening again. Trauma reenactments are patterns we repeat again and again similar to traumas in the past. They can be pervasive and difficult to notice, because we may believe they are "just the way things are." But they're not. While these patterns are not our fault, if we are able to identify these reenactments, be honest about what they are and where they come from, and create more space between a trigger and a reaction, we are able to gain power over the moment when a trauma reenactment starts to occur, or to stop one that is already occurring. By changing our reaction, we create a new habit, which allows us to heal our trauma reenactments and create space for positive and healthy habits, responses, and relationships in our lives. Episode DescriptionShame is probably the most powerful and deeply rooted core wound we can have, and it's often a result of abuse, neglect, and trauma. In The Power of Shame and What to Do About It, we discuss what shame is, its origins, and the insidious nature of shame, including how it comes from the enemy. This episode discusses the deep power of shame, what it does to us, and how pervasive it can be on an unconscious level, including the difference between guilt and shame. Guilt states "I made a mistake," and shame states, "I am bad" or "there's something wrong with me." We discuss how it's important to distinguish these two and become aware of our shame. This episode then shows how love, validation, and bringing shame into the light can help us heal it, knowing we're not alone. We discuss specific practices and strategies to heal shame, as well as the powerful results of healing shame, like a weight has been lifted from our shoulders. Episode DescriptionWelcome to a new season. Staying on the Healing Path starts the new season by sharing with you tips to help you stay on the healing journey. We often think of the healing journey as linear, but it tends to have ebbs, flows, and cycles, even though we move forward overall if we stay on the path. This episode discusses the nature of the healing journey, how the natural progression of healing is three steps forward and two steps back, and how we can approach the healing path with the right mindset. Then the podcast discusses how to deal with inevitable interruptions of our healing practice by discussing how we should approach setbacks, slacking, and obstacles on the journey and our daily practice, as they are a natural part of the path. Lastly, we discuss how to customize your daily practice to your unique nature, needs, situation, and changing experience to help you take the journey with a healthy, constructive, and realistic approach to taking a step toward the healing God can give you every day. Episode DescriptionDon't Make Trauma Your Whole Identity, discusses how trauma survivors have their entire brains rewired when they experience trauma. As a result, when we become aware of what has happened to us and start our healing journey, it can be challenging not to make trauma our entire identity. It's easy to get into a loop of overidentifying with trauma and what has happened to us, to the point we can get stuck. This isn't our fault, but we can do something about it. By separating our core identity with what happened to us, and by rewriting our identity, we can start to move past the trauma and not get stuck in this loop. No doubt, trauma impacts our identity, how we think, and how we live day to day, including how our "default mode network," or the part of our brain involved in identity, operates. However, how we relate to trauma, think about it, and work toward recovery can help us build a strong identity outside of our trauma. Additionally, knowing who we are in Christ and what God says about our identity helps us build a strong core self, so we can build a healthy identity separate and free from our trauma. Episode DescriptionWhat's the Connection Between Love Languages and Healing Trauma? discusses how we can harness the Five Love Languages, based on Gary Chapman's 1992 book of the same name, to cultivate a sense of safety, connection, and practice to help us heal trauma. This episode explains what the five love languages are, how they operate, and how people's love languages are often formed by unmet needs from childhood. We then discuss how our love languages can be our deepest vulnerability, but they can also be an entry point into our deepest sense of connection and safety, two essential parts of trauma healing. Lastly, the episode discusses how using the right healing practices based on your unique language will help you heal most effectively, how we can heal and find safety through our love language, and how we can help those we love find the same through their love language. Rethinking Our Thoughts Part II: What Is Learned Helplessness and How Do I Overcome It? is the second part of a two part series. Last episode, we discussed cognitive distortions and how they contribute to the trauma cycle. Similarly, learned helplessness is "a condition in which a person has a sense of powerlessness, arising from a traumatic event or persistent failure to succeed. It is thought to be one of the underlying causes of depression," according to Oxford Languages. Learned helplessness is the opposite of grit, which we discuss often on the channel. This episode discusses how learned helplessness occurs, who it impacts, and how we can get our lives back by practicing it's opposite: Learned Optimism. which a is cultivated practice that helps us develop grit, hope, and flexibility in the face of adversity, even if we've experienced trauma in the past. Episode DescriptionRethinking Our Thoughts Part I: What Are Cognitive Distortions and How Can I Overcome Them? discusses how hope is not just something we have in Christ, but is also something we can cultivate on the healing journey, even if we're feeling hopeless. We learn hope by practicing it daily. Investing in our healing and taking daily steps toward progress today can give us hope for the future. Think about a time you made good choices or cultivated healthy daily habits in the past that you are benefitting from now. Now connect this experience to a current difficulty. If you make good choices now, you are giving yourself something to look forward to and hope to your future self. However, the process cannot be forced. It's accepting our difficult emotions with compassion--and not forcing healing--that moves us forward in hope. But the path doesn't always appear on its own. Cultivating a daily practice, meditating on hope in Christ, and trying something constructive will move us forward. When we take a leap of faith, then the path appears.Breakdown of Episode1:17 Intro to Topic5:30 What Are Cognitive Distortions? 18:16 What Causes Cognitive Distortions and Examples of Them22:36 Why Working on Cognitive Distortions is Scriptural26:28 The Ten Cognitive Distortions1:00:00 Healing Cognitive DistortionsFOR EPISODE RESOURCES, GO HEREhttps://docs.google.com/document/d/1IZVC2w3J721YzMEg84f1a7tH-8glzxQGeqxpOq9gg1c/edit?usp=sharingChristian Emotional Recovery ResourcesPodcast WebsiteAccess Episodes, Get Free Resources, and More Facebook GroupJoin Community, Get Support, and Get Weekly Encouragement YouTube ChannelSubscribe for Exclusive Material Not on PodcastChristian Emotional Recovery StoreGet meditations, infographics, journals, and other resources for your healing journey Trauma SurvivorsCheck out Resources Page for Trauma Survivors Email ListGet updates on episodes, platform, resources, and products Free ResourceFree Visual A.C.O.R.N Resource to Heal Difficult Emotions Donate Monthly Through PatreonHelp More Trauma Survivors Through This Ministry Donate One-Time Through Ko-FiHelp More Trauma Survivors Thr...

Isabelle Oterro, the spiritual advisor of the FU Project Workshop joins the podcast today to talk about how to have the courage to pivot in times of change and when things are not working how we expected, which is all too common on your fertility journey, right? Having moved from France at 20 years old, Isabelle adopted the New York way of life as a young professional. It was here that an intimate journey through anxiety and panic attacks took Isabelle to task in truly knowing her self. Averse to reliance on prescription drugs, she sought out alternatives. What started as weekly sessions with a psychologist, quickly lead to hypnosis, past life exploration, and an unlimited world of healing modalities. This journey inspired a deeper understanding of her own psychic and healing abilities to help others. As a clairvoyant medium, Isabelle is a psychic healer, certified hypnotist and energy therapist. Isabelle continues expanding her capacity to heal as a medium clairvoyant, never ceasing to trust in the evolution of her work. An as I like to say, Isabelle is the best therapy you will ever have. Listen in to learn how you make a decision to pivot? What does pivoting in a new direction look like and how can you move forward with courage and grace? What You'll Learn How do you know it's time to make a change? Pregnancy and Parenthood after IVF is a unique experience to say the least. The lessons that we learn (or don't learn) through IVF definitely show themselves through our pregnancy and parenthood, too. I started with my own pregnancy and early parenthood with my son, Hudson, after a very prolonged IVF journey. In this episode, I share that experience with you. I didn't have the tools to get myself out of survival mode at the time so it was not pretty. But I talk about what I would have done differently if I knew then what I know now. I hope this story and these lessons are helpful to you. What You'll Learn Making the most bed rest Advocating for yourself and setting boundaries even within the rules of a hospital Having a plan and being able to pivot What I would have done differently Things I am grateful for how they went Taking care of yourself after the birth in early motherhood Thriving and not just surviving through pregnancy and parenthood NEW!
