A court has heard the man accused of lighting the fatal Loafers Lodge fire told a psychiatrist voices in his head told him to burn the place down. It was also revealed the man had previously been convicted of attempted arson. The 50-year-old defendant, whose identity is suppressed, has denied murdering five people by setting the Wellington boarding house alight in 2023. Lauren Crimp, who was at the High Court, spoke to Lisa Owen.

Throughout his academic tenure, he taught at various institutions, including Stanford University, the University of Iowa, and the University of Copenhagen.     Lutz is the author of numerous books spanning cultural history, travel writing, and fiction. When character motivation, logic, and how technology actually works are entirely discarded, you are left with a confounding mélange of nonsensical dialogue and wild conclusions with nary a passing relationship to reality. 15 years ago Viberg was pretty firmly Canada's most hardcore logging and industrial boot company. Since Brett Viberg took over the reins of the nearly 100-year-old brand from his father Glen, Viberg has in many ways completely changed the high-end, recraftable boot market—most notably with its Service Boot, which became a legitimate game-shifting icon, and inspiration to many. In our last chat in 2021, Viberg was in the midst of directional shift again, although you could only catch traces of what that would mean in the years to come.
