The band had some tragedies and substance abuse issues, but did put out some great music. Their debut album “Things You've Never Done Before” was produced by Beau Hill (Warrant, Ratt) and went on to sell 250,000 copies. Kevin also formed the band Mojo Gurus which had a more eclectic sound. This was a fun interview as Kevin didn't hold back. In our talk Mike takes us back to when he was seduced by the music of KISS and Alice Cooper which led him landing the guitar role in the band Lethal Lipstick and saw him sign his first record deal and get a taste of the Sunset Strip in the late 80s and early 90s. Mike recalls his first Rock Shows and trips to New York City all of which have shaped him into the veteran 100% real rock and roller he is today.Download the Straight To Video Cover of 'Scream Until You Like It' featuring Mike Trash here:https://soundcloud.com/laney74/scream-until-you-like-it-wasp-cover

Hair Metal Mixtape #159 - Everything is over 6 minutes and they are not just power ballads. I blame Def Leppard with “Gods of War”. I’ve been wanting to put this song on a mixtape of mine but I just couldn’t find what I wanted to say so I couldn’t find the direction to go in. And then I wanted “Still of the Night” but it came in at 6:50 and Gods of War is 6:38 so it got me thinking of which other tunes are as epic but not power ballads. And the rest was born. Hair Metal Mixtape #131 - It's time to take it down a notch. You know, the straightaway is ending at a long and winding mountain road, you drop down to a low gear and just cruise to the other side. I was jamming to “She” by KISS and was digging on getting a mixtape that was almost Stoner Rock in a weird way. Some slowed down beats, some slow head bangin’ jams. Just certain riffs and grooves that “She” has that had me procure these other tracks that are not usually associated with these bands or just Heavy Metal in general. Then I found Stoner Rock Legends Fu Manchu covering a Twisted Sister song and it all made sense. Thanks for listening.
