26.2.22 - Church Matters: Spiritual Gifts - Stephen Atherton by Windsor Community Church
Receiving anointing from the dead, is not biblical. The Bible wards us against practices like this and deemed it as witchcraft and necromancy. We must recognize the importance of discerning truth from deception. The Holy Spirit is our true source of spiritual gifts.

Pastor Travis brings us a message where we can find in God's Word how we can present ourselves to God so He can show us our spiritual gifts.
In this message, we walk through Romans 1:11 and the biblical foundation for spiritual gifts. Paul's desire to "impart" a pneumatic, Spirit driven gift is connected to stability, calling, and Kingdom Builders participation. You'll hear a clear breakdown of spiritual gifts in three categories: administrative gifts (Romans 12), leadership gifts (Ephesians 4), and manifestation or power gifts (1 Corinthians 12). We also cover how gifts are distributed by the Holy Spirit, why the church cannot neglect them, and how prophecy, impartation, and spiritual alignment help believers step into their assignment. If you've wondered what you're called to, how to discover your gifting, or how prophetic presbytery works, this sermon is for you.
The Bible tells us that EVERY believer, without exception, has received a spiritual gift. Every believer???so how do you know what yours is? What if the root of your anxiety or self-doubt is a spiritual wound you didn't even know you had? In this episode, Taylor Paige joins Krista to break down the “spirit wound”—why so many of us feel disconnected from our own intuitive power + how reclaiming it changes everything. Taylor Paige, a sought-after evidential medium, shares her personal journey—from crippling fear of the dark to leading packed workshops that empower women to contact their guides directly. Plus, learn why you might fear your own intuitive gifts, from media programming to religion, and more. Taylor teaches practical, life-changing tools for releasing fear, healing old narratives, and stepping boldly into your purpose. This conversation is your permission slip to ditch external validation + ignite your spiritual self-trust—so you can manifest abundance, clarity, and true peace within. We also talk about: The psychology behind why we fear the dark + how it blocks your power How Hollywood + media reinforce spiritual disempowerment Overcoming religious trauma + rewriting your story with God What evidence-based mediumship actually looks like (hint: it's not “storytime”) The myth of “evil spirits” + how to genuinely feel safe Establishing boundaries with energies + why your intuition is the ultimate guide Tangible steps to heal from anxiety, religious programming, and lack of self-trust “Sitting in the Power”—a transformative practice for connecting with Spirit How energetic sensitivity is actually a sign of spiritual gifts, not weakness Connecting with your spirit guides (plus what everyone gets wrong about them) Resources: You can connect with Taylor on Instagram @angels_and_amethyst, and find her offerings on her website www.angelsandamethyst.com. Can you train someone in spiritual gifts? Joshua Lewis walks through why training doesn't manufacture gifts of the Spirit, but rather creates a biblical, accountable community to discover and steward the spiritual gifts God has already given. If you've wondered how to grow in spiritual gifts without sliding into charismatic chaos, this episode will give you biblical categories, guardrails, and practical next steps. The subject of spiritual gifts is a mystery to many people, even some Christians. Some deny such gifts exist at all, and others admit they may exist but believe that if they do they must beiong to only a few very special people. They assume normal Christians can't expect spiritual gifts to be a part of their everyday lives. Yet, the Bible teaches something very different. It tells us every Christian has been given the Holy Spirit to live inside them , and since He is the Source of all spiritual gifts, believers should expect to receive His supernatural help whenever they need it. In today's lesson we'll observe the important role spiritual gifts played in Joseph's life, and then we'll reflect on how they can play an important role in ours as well. 1 Corinthians 12:8–11 teaches that spiritual gifts are Spirit-given manifestations for the common good. Scripture calls the church to avoid fear and pride, walk in discernment, and surrender to the Holy Spirit for God's glory and the building up of the body.
You're invited to listen to the third episode of our sermon series, Time | Talent | Treasure. In this message, Pastor Zack reminds us that God owns everything—and that living well means faithfully stewarding all He has entrusted to us.
1 Corinthians 12 | Pastor Steve MillerBig Idea: Spiritual gifts reveal the intentional place and purpose for every believer in God's church.Pastor Steve preached from 1 Corinthians 12, showing that spiritual gifts are not random abilities but intentional assignments from the Holy Spirit. Each believer is placed in the body by God's design, for God's glory, and for the good of the church.Paul reminds us that no gift exists for self-promotion. Every gift serves a purpose. Every member belongs. When we understand our place in the body, division fades and unity strengthens. The church flourishes when each believer faithfully uses what God has entrusted to them.Spiritual gifts are not about status. They are about service. They are evidence that God has intentionally placed you in His church with purpose.Learn to Live:Do I believe and confess that Jesus is Lord? How can I use my gifts at Heritage?Who can I invite to Community Sunday?—Join us Sundays at 9:00 & 11:00
Title: Gifts of the Holy SpiritSpeaker: David RocchiDate: 25th January 2026Location: Dunedin, New Zealand This episode explores the gift of the Holy Spirit and the operation of spiritual gifts in the church, beginning in Acts 2:38 and moving through 1 Corinthians 12–14 . It highlights that the Holy Spirit is a promised gift, poured out fully—not partially—and that those who receive it are given the fullness of God’s Spirit. The gifts that follow are not selective favours, but manifestations of the same Spirit, given for the edification and profit of the church. The message carefully explains the purpose of tongues, interpretation, and prophecy within church gatherings. Tongues are a sign to unbelievers and a means of personal edification, while prophecy and interpretation build up the church in understanding, exhortation, and comfort. Order, clarity, and love are central to how the gifts should operate, ensuring that all things are done decently and for spiritual growth. Key Points / Takeaways The Holy Spirit is given in full—God does not distribute His Spirit in portions or by preference. Spiritual gifts are for edification, strengthening, and building up the church. Tongues, interpretation, and prophecy each have a clear biblical purpose and are to operate in order and faith. What are spiritual gifts? How do they work in the church? How do we discover our spiritual gifts?
Message from Steve Holt on 02/15/2026
Pastor Travis helps us understand that every believer has been given a spiritual gift by the Holy Spirit, not something earned, but a grace-gift meant to be used for the good of the body of Christ and the glory of Christ!
After learning how to walk worthy in the previous two weeks, we now pivot to spiritual gifts and how they are distributed throughout the body of Christ (his church). In this sermon Pastor Chris goes over the 5-fold gifts given to the church- Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Shepherd, and Teacher, and how these gifts all contribute to the maturity of the body by edifying in love to one another. Give glory to God who from the Exodus all the way to the cross, has poured out his spirit and has decided to function amongst his people for the salvation of the world.
What happens when early trauma, adoption, religion, and abusive relationships collide with a spiritual awakening that cannot be ignored? In this deeply human and unfiltered Part 1 conversation, Trina shares her life story — not as a spiritual teacher, but as someone who lived through profound loss, shame, and identity confusion, and slowly awakened from the inside out.We talk about growing up adopted and feeling “different,” the painful decision to give a child up for adoption, and the long road toward forgiveness and reconnection with her birth mother. Trina opens up about religious conditioning, the dark night of the soul, and how chasing external success and approval led her further away from herself. As the conversation unfolds, we explore her kundalini awakening — not as an abstract spiritual concept, but as a lived, embodied experience. She describes physical symptoms, intuitive abilities opening naturally, and learning to listen to the body as a source of truth. This episode is not about perfection, enlightenment, or having answers. It's about remembering who you are, redefining abundance as peace, and learning to love yourself after years of survival. This episode is for you if you:Feel there is more to life than what you were taughtHave experienced adoption, trauma, or deep identity shiftsAre going through a spiritual awakening or dark night of the soulAre redefining success, faith, and what abundance truly meansPart 1 lays the foundation — the story, the wounds, and the awakening.Part 2 continues deeper into integration, embodiment, and living from truth.Listen on:Spotify · Apple Podcasts · Amazon Music · YouTubeConnect with the show:YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@oschirachInstagram: www.instagram.com/oschirachChapters00:00 Welcome & The Intention Behind This Conversation05:52 Growing Up Adopted & Feeling Different11:44 Giving a Child Up for Adoption21:42 Trauma, Shame & Survival Patterns39:06 Religion, Faith & Spiritual Conditioning52:40 Losing Faith & The Dark Night of the Soul01:05:20 Abuse, Identity Loss & Chasing External Success01:17:30 Kundalini Awakening & Physical Spiritual Symptoms01:42:10 Spiritual Gifts, Intuition & Embodied Awakening01:55:30 Redefining Abundance, Purpose & Self-Love

Where does true power come from? How does one receive an anointing? We live in a day where the church has lost its focus and many are entertaining worldly, demonic methods to gain what belongs to the Lord. This should not be. Idolatry of power has taken root. 1 John 5:21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. There is a pure move of the Holy Spirit. We must keep true to the Word of God and not allow the mixture to taint what the Lord has initiated. Date of service February 5th, 2026

Claircognizance meaning can feel unsettling when answers arrive without logic — when you just know something, then immediately question yourself for knowing it. If you've ever second-guessed your intuition, dismissed a quiet inner certainty, or wondered whether you're imagining things, this episode meets you right in that moment. In this conversation, I am joined by Julie Flippin, a retired psychotherapist and author of Divinely Seasoned, whose life has been shaped by profound transitions and inner change. Julie shares from lived experience what it's like to carry inner knowing without clear language or validation, and how intuition often seems to surface most clearly during moments that feel unsettling or hard to make sense of.Julie shares the moments that opened her gifts, what changed when grief cracked her world open, and how discernment becomes the real spiritual practice: learning the difference between fear, ego, and true guidance.
In Ephesians 4:7-10, we see that the risen and victorious king Jesus is now blessing his church with an abundance of spiritual gifts, and in verse 8 Paul even quotes Psalm 68 as something that pointed to this very reality. Now despite all the controversy about spiritual gifts, as well as the many ways they are misunderstood today, one thing we do see here is that spiritual gifts are essential for the life and ministry of the church. Tune into this episode to hear more! This episode is a sermon that was preached by Jackson Hankey at River City Church on Thursday, 1/22/2026.

Spiritual gifts are often divided into three categories: speaking, serving, and sign gifts. It is the sign gifts—gifts like tongues, prophecy, and healing—that are a source of debate. Some have wrongly made Christians feel incomplete if they don't have these sign gifts, and others have wrongly made some Christians feel weird for using the sign gifts. Join us as we look at these gifts and see how we can all use our gifts to serve others!
Have you ever felt like you understand your Human Design chart, yet something still feels just out of reach when it comes to truly living it?In this episode of Soul Guide Radio, I share why understanding your Human Design is only the first phase of alignment — and why true transformation happens when you activate and embody your spiritual gifts. Human Design is a powerful map, but it's not the magic. The magic lives deeper, in the gifts your soul came here to express.I explore why two people with nearly identical charts can live completely different expressions, and how your spiritual gifts act as your soul technology — the tools that allow you to live, lead, heal, and manifest in alignment with your highest truth. This episode is for old souls who feel ready to move beyond analysis and strategy, and into embodiment, trust, and flow — where alignment becomes something you live, not something you study. You'll discover:Why understanding your Human Design is only phase oneHow your spiritual gifts activate and elevate your chartWhat it means to move from reading your design to living itTimestamps:00:00 Introduction01:15 Understanding Human Design03:23 The Magic of Spiritual Gifts06:50 Living Your Human Design08:14 Activation and Embodiment09:19 Practical Steps and InvitationSTAY CONNECTED: Soul Guide Circle: JOIN the Soul Guide Circle closed Facebook Group Facebook: FOLLOW on Facebook Instagram: FOLLOW on Instagram YouTube: Follow in YouTube Ready to grow a prosperous soul-guided business?
