Interview with Luis Azevedo, Chairman & CEO of Bravo Mining Corp. Our previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/bravo-mining-tsxvbrvo-copper-gold-discovery-in-tier-1-pgm-project-in-brazil-5938Recording date: 4th March 2025Bravo Mining Corp represents an exciting opportunity for investors to gain exposure to the clean energy transition through a world-class platinum group metals (PGM), copper, and gold asset in the heart of Brazil's mining industry. The company's 100%-owned Luanga project, located in the renowned Carajás Mineral Province, has rapidly emerged as one of the largest and highest-grade palladium-platinum deposits globally, with a resource that has tripled to over 15 million ounces in just two years. Even more tantalizing is Luanga's copper-gold potential, with Bravo recently discovering bonanza-grade mineralization reminiscent of the IOCG deposits that built mining giants like Vale and Anglo American. The Luanga project boasts a number of key attributes that enhance its economic and development potential. First and foremost is the sheer scale and grade of the PGM resource. At 15 million ounces and growing, Luanga already ranks among the largest PGM deposits in South America. Importantly, the resource starts right at surface, with 86% of the ounces sitting in the first 250 meters depth. This suggests a low-cost, open-pit operation could be in the offing. Furthermore, with less than 10% of this massive land package systematically explored, Luanga likely has much more to give. While the PGM story alone would merit serious investor attention, the recent copper-gold discovery at Luanga makes Bravo impossible to ignore. Drill results like 11 meters of 14.5% copper and 3 g/t gold would be the envy of any major miner. The exploration model of choice for such mineralization are IOCG deposits, which are responsible for the bulk of Brazil's copper and gold production. These deposits are prized for their large size and polymetallic nature, often hosting economic quantities of copper, gold, silver, PGMs, and rare earths. With a land package of nearly 9,000 hectares, Bravo has an opportunity to consolidate a new copper-gold district in the heart of the Carajás.To advance these exceptional assets, Bravo has assembled a topnotch technical team with an unparalleled track record of discovery and development in Brazil. CEO Luis Azevedo and his colleagues were involved in several major discoveries in the country, giving them keen insights into the local geology and what it takes to operate there. Bravo also enjoys strong support from both the government and local community, a social license that is absolutely critical in today's mining industry. The Brazilian government has thrown its weight behind Luanga, placing it in an accelerated permitting program to bring the critical metals to market as quickly as possible.Lastly, Bravo has the financial strength to deliver on its ambitious plans. With $25 million in the bank, the company is fully funded to expand the PGM resource, advance engineering studies, and aggressively explore the copper-gold discovery. Major shareholders like Blackrock, Tembo, Franklin, and RCF have thrown their support behind management, recognizing the immense value creation potential at Luanga. As the company hits key milestones and proves out the polymetallic nature of the project, investors can look forward to a steady stream of catalysts. As the world electrifies and decarbonizes, metals like palladium, platinum, and copper will become ever more critical. Already, the Brazilian government is taking steps to secure its own supply of these vital elements. For investors, Bravo Mining offers a unique opportunity to participate in this generational megatrend, through an exceptional asset with a world-class team behind it. With drills turning, permits in hand, and a historic bull market for green metals ahead, Bravo has all the ingredients to become a major player in the industry.View Bravo Mining's company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/bravo-miningSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

As a young man, Jerry L'Ecuyer landed a dream job driving a camping tour bus that shuttled young, single foreigners on camping trips throughout the United States. “I still think about that job today. It was way too much fun, and they actually paid us. It was wrong.” A perk of the job, Jerry spent his off-seasons traveling and reconnecting with his new friends. “I learned to ski in Austria; I didn't have a lot of worries; I was single. One of the off-seasons (1984), we did a real overland voyage from London to South Africa by truck.” In this Slow Baja conversation, we discuss that epic four-month drive from England to South Africa in a Bedford truck—meeting his South African wife, discovering “Overland” gear, and building a brand and a lifestyle around Tembo Tusk. This week, we explore "The Church As A Bridge," inspired by 2 Corinthians 5:16-21. The church is not merely a gathering place but a bridge for reconciliation, connecting people to God and to one another. Paul's teaching in 2 Corinthians emphasizes that through Christ, we are new creations, called to the ministry of reconciliation. This means breaking down barriers and building bridges that lead others to God's purpose for their lives. The church's role is to guide people from a life of judgment and alienation to one of grace and unity with God. The core message is that, like a bridge connecting two separated places, the church should act as a pathway to God, inviting others to experience reconciliation and transformation through Jesus Christ. In this episode of the SmartMoney Ventures Podcast, Ry Walker tells the story of his entrepreneurial journey from college dropout to Unicorn success in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this episode, you will learn:How to build Unicorn software companies in Cincinnati Ohio. Why the entrepreneur's journey is like mountain climbing, where you value the climb more than the peak itself. How Astronomer & Tembo are commercializing open source platforms and challenging software giants like Oracle and Snowflake. What NBA Legend LeBron James and startup CEOs have in common. Why we learn more from failure than we do from success.Advice for tech entrepreneurs: Visit San Francisco, build confidence, pursue speed. Ry Walker is one of those rare entrepreneurs who sees trends before most other people do. After dropping out of college at the University of Cincinnati, he got hired to build and deliver IBM clone computers and teach people how to use early PC software tools. Then he founded his first company, SharkBytes, building websites in 1995 in downtown Cincinnati. He and his brother went to businesses, unplugged their fax machines and showed people the internet, trying to sell them websites, many times being told to plug the fax machine back in. Failure is part of the process, but getting back up is essential. They built SharkBytes to 30 employees and sold it to a rollup in 1999. He was a paper millionaire at 27 years old, only to watch it go up in flames in the “dot-bomb” of 2000/2001. Fast forward to 2015, when he founded Astronomer, a software company that has raised over $280M of venture capital and is valued at over $1 Billion. He describes Astronomer as a pipeline for data, built on top of Apache Airflow, a Python based open-source workflow management platform. Ry served as CEO for 4 years, CTO for 2 more years, and left to start another company and become an investor. In November of 2022, he founded Tembo, a developer platform built on top of PostGres, an open-source relational database management system. Coming strong out of the gate, he raised a $7 Million dollar seed round led by Venrock with CincyTech, Cintrifuse Capital, Fireroad, Grand Ventures and Wireframe Ventures participating. Ry believes that commercial platforms built on top of open-source software is the future, and is a founding principle for both Astronomer and Tembo. Ry has been recognized as a Cincinnati “Top 40 Under 40” and is an AngelPad alum. He loves nature, science, art, sports, and indie game development. I know that you'll enjoy hearing Ry share his story of entrepreneurship and all the wisdom that he's learned along the way. Enjoy!

More than a refresh: A podcast about data and the people who wrangle it
Welcome to Episode 33 of More than a Refresh, where JD sits down with Ry Walker, Founder at Tembo. Listen in as they discuss the benefits of asynchronous work, the under-celebration of Postgres extensions, and why your Open Source competition is actually one of your greatest partners in development.
Fair warning: Dana's had 3 cups of coffee! If you're new here this is a show where we take on the things that drive our listeners insane and then celebrate the good news of the world. This week, we received a Rant from a listener about the importance of recognition and praise in the workplace, and how pointing out the negative can really bring you down. We also have Jess Ranting about the absurdity of stirring a drink with your finger, while Allen tries to justify it with some questionable reasoning. Join us for some laughs and good vibes, and remember to send in your rants and raves to keep the conversation going. ****CLEANSING BREATH**** Dana Corner - Excuuuuuuuse Me!? https://people.com/human-interest/concertgoer-reportedly-has-loud-full-body-orgasm-la-philharmonic-performance/ Jess Corner - Power of a Pen pal https://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/freed-after-28-years-of-wrongful-conviction-man-meets-pen- pal-who-wrote-him-weekly-affirming-his-innocence/ *********************************** Dana Rave - The Elephant Project https://www.theelephantproject.com/about 100% of net proceeds from your purchase of Kiki and Tembo go to various organizations that help aid in fighting the poaching crisis and also provide care to injured, abandoned, orphaned, and abused elephants. Once again we come together but this time we're in San Diego for Rigs and Brew's event at Duckfoot Brewery. Many great beers were had and great friends were hung with. Adam Leidy our Forest Service buddy from the INYO National Forest area came down to talk to us about treading lightly and doing our part. We also got dropped in on by our friend Ali (a girl), Jerry from Tembo, Jimmy from Overland Coffee Co., and Michelle of Rigs & Brews. As usual a good time albeit too short of a hang!
We have a delightful Slice of GTD Life interview for you, with Jim Small. He's a professor of pathology at Rocky Vista University, and self-confessed "science nerd." In addition to his background in medicine, he has studied computer programming, which he credits with thinking sequentially in a way that works well with GTD. His use of list management software goes way back to Palm OS and Palm Desktop, as well as Outlook, Word, Google docs, and Evernote. He has set up list management systems from simple to complex. (Hint: He says simple is better.) He speaks of the underappreciated value of the Waiting For list, and encourages those new to GTD to acknowledge themselves. His intelligence and humor shine through all the way, especially when he describes why he calls his GTD system Tembo. You can listen to the entire conversation from November 2019 at GTD Connect®. -- This audio is one of many available at GTD Connect, a learning space and community hub for all things GTD.
