Beverly Huss, President & CEO, Qool Therapeutics Beverly Huss joined Qool Therapeutics as President and CEO in September 2013. Previously, Beverly was President and CEO of Vibrynt, Inc. a company that developed a novel minimally invasive therapeutic device for treatment of morbid obesity. Prior to this, Beverly was with Santa Clara, California-based Guidant since 1986, fulfilling a variety of executive roles within the company's various medical device divisions. She managed the worldwide Endovascular Solutions business as President and quadrupled worldwide revenues to $150 million for the carotid and peripheral vascular business in four years. Prior to this Beverly held several executive level positions as Vice President of Guidant's Canada and Latin America operations, Vice President of Vascular Intervention Global Marketing and Vice President of the Stent Business Unit where she built the company's coronary stent business, a market leader for 27 of 28 quarters with revenue growth of zero to $1 billion in three years. In addition to the Qool Therapeutics, Board, Beverly serves the boards of Accuray, Kalera Medical, and Madorra, and the University of Illinois Material Science and Engineering steering Committee and Biomedical Engineering Steering Committee. She previously served on the boards of Surefire Medical, Ulthera, Dade Behring, Inc., Wright Medical Inc., and Artes Medical. She is a mentor in the Stanford University Biodesign Fellowship Program. I've been performing Ulthera for 9 years and the studies keep affirming its usefulness. Tonight, we discuss the latest study that documented Ulthera as the best method for tightening facial and neck skin. We also discussed the dangers of injecting liquid silicone for wrinkles. Finally, Dr. Matthew Tremblay from Barnabus Health discuss the newest methods for diagnosing and treating Multiple Sclerosis.

In tonight's show, we discussed the safety of botulinum toxin (Botox) and my 22 year experience injecting it. There is NO EVIDENCE that long term use of Botox is harmful in any way. Aging skin can be rejuvenated with Botox, Fillers, Ulthera, surgery, Peels, and lasers. Tonight, we discussed how Intense Pulsed Light, and the Erbium and CO2 lasers can be used to improve your appearance. And, I found the dumbest procedure of 2018 - cutting the nerves to the leg muscles to make the calf slimmer! So what if you won't be able to run or dance - your legs will look better! This procedure is not one that I recommend!

Ulthera is an 8 year old technology that focuses high intensity ultrasound under the skin. It heats the tissue and tightens the skin and generates collagen. A new study showed that the combined use of Ulthera with Radiesse wrinkle filler is very effective in correcting buttock and thigh cellulite. We discuss this and other new Ulthera studies that demonstrate superior results when Ulthera is combined with wrinkles fillers.

It's an age old question, isn't it? Actually it's a question from 1962 and it gets asked thousands of times a week across the USA. Breast implants should help women appear "normal", not abnormal. Tonight, we discuss how large breast implants should be and what happens when they are too large. We also discussed nicotinamide, truly a wonder drug that decreases the likelihood of skin cancer. We also discussed Ulthera, and radio frequency skin tightening.

It's not just the bride that's having cosmetic surgery. It's the mother, the mother-in-law, the sisters, and the bridesmaids. But how close to the big date can you have a procedure. That depends on what procedure. While you can have microdermabrasion the day before the wedding, you should not have a facelift within 6 months of the big day. Tonight, we discuss which procedures you can have prior to the wedding. Tonight was also part 2 of our discussion of the "fat neck". We discussed why I think Kythera and Coolsculpting are not as good as liposuction.

We discussed lower eyelid "fat bags" on tonight's show. Lower eyelid surgery is the treatment of choice, although Ulthera, chemical peels, and injection of filler into the eyelid groove can improve appearance. We also discussed pills that purport to rejuvenate - mimicking human growth hormone. I believe these are fraudulent and I explain why.

We discussed the difference between Thermage and Ulthera and how they relate to facelifting. Also, we discussed breast implants and liposuction. Finally, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital is having a symposium on pediatric trauma.

We discussed the benefits and the problems with wrinkle fillers. There were 3 cases of blindness from forehead injections published in the medical literature. I explained how you can stay safe with these injections. There was also an extensive discussion on Ulthera.

Winter has taken a toll on your skin and it's time to improve its appearance before the summer. We discussed how a good skin care program can help as well as the noninvasive procedures such as Botox, fillers, chemical peels and Ulthera.
