Send Me A Message!! Spring has arrived in full force, bringing with it the perfect conditions for garden growth—and revealing some common problems that many gardeners face this time of year. Whether you're noticing patchy growth in your lawn or concerning symptoms on your prized hedges, this episode offers practical solutions to get your garden thriving.I dive deep into two troubleshooting scenarios that appeared in my garden consultations this week. First, I explore the hidden causes of struggling lawns, particularly those established in new builds or recently landscaped areas. The culprit often lies beneath the surface—literally. Many modern landscaping practices create artificial soil conditions that prevent proper root development. I share my complete restoration protocol: deep aeration to bring oxygen to the roots, removing that suffocating thatch layer, strategic overseeding, and adding organic matter to build soil health naturally. These techniques address the underlying structural issues rather than just treating symptoms. The second problem gaining momentum across gardens nationwide involves Portuguese laurel hedges. These beautiful, previously trouble-free hedges are now showing signs of fungal mildew after years of popularity. I describe the telltale symptoms to watch for and my three-part treatment approach using microbial sprays, seaweed extracts, and organic fertilizers to activate the plant's natural defense systems. I'm implementing this exact protocol in my own garden and will be tracking the results.Between troubleshooting these garden challenges, I share updates on my spring planting progress, new arrivals in the henhouse, and upcoming garden events you won't want to miss. Connect with me at info@mastermygarden.com with your garden questions, and please take a moment to leave a review wherever you listen to help other gardeners discover these practical solutions.Support the showIf there is any topic you would like covered in future episodes, please let me know. I am always on the search for clean beauty and if it lives up to anti-aging hype that's a huge win! In this episode I talk with the lovely and brilliant Carolina Reis, PhD to talk about the science behind One Skin. The OS-01 compound formulated in the One Skin products is the first peptide proven to reverse skin's biological age by preventing the accumulation of senescent cells - those zombie cells that hinder our healthier cells from rejuvenating. We get into how the products are designed, where to start if you just want to try one thing and my experience with One Skin.  Visit oneskin.co/BETTEREVERYDAY and use code BETTEREVERYDAY for 15% off your first order.   Stuff I Know You Will Love NAD levels start to decline by up to 65% between ages 30 and 70 and this can lead to more signs of aging, less energy and worse recovery. Qualia NAD+ is formulated to target the entire process our cells undergo to make, use and then recycle NAD+ for optimal results that you can see and feel. With so many NAD boosting products out there, what sets Qualia NAD+ apart is that it uses three different precursors to support the various ways our cells make NAD+ and its very holistic formula supports this production pathway from start to finish with enzyme cofactors as well as raw materials. So spruce up your aging, tired mitochondria, improve genetic repair and stem cell renewal AND save big at Qualialife.com/bettereveryday. This link automatically gives 50% off the product AND if you enter code BETTEREVERYDAY at checkout you'll get another 15% off!    If you are looking for an expert prescriber for HRT during your perimenopause or menopause journey but are at odds with your local provider being a bit behind current best practices or you simply can't find anyone near you to help, Join MIDI! What do you wish I asked this guest? What was your "quotable moment" from this episode? Virginia, a Tucson-based mystic and tarot reader, takes us on her enchanting journey of spiritual rediscovery. From early ghostly encounters that initially shut down her metaphysical abilities to reawakening her mystical path five years ago, her story is one of fearlessly embracing one's authentic self. Virginia's daily rituals—like stirring coffee with blessings and using protective imagery during showers—infuse intention into everyday moments, offering a glimpse into her unique spiritual practices. Her crystal "armor" for aura protection and her range of products, including scrubs, bath bombs, and candles, reflect her dedication to blending energy with creativity.Navigating the intersection of mysticism and capitalism is no easy feat, and Virginia candidly shares her experiences with imposter syndrome and the frustration of relying solely on spiritual gifts for material needs. She highlights the role of intuitive insights and spirit guide communication in affirming one's path, while also stressing the importance of ethical discussions within the witch community to dispel misconceptions. Rejuvenating spiritual energy by connecting with nature and the accessibility of these practices help Virginia maintain balance and authenticity in her mystical endeavors.Virginia's journey is also about honoring those who have influenced her path. By crafting personalized items like candles and jewelry, she pays tribute to figures who have shaped her spiritual and professional life. Her advice to newcomers in the mystical realm is empowering: believe in your potential and take up space. With her daughter, Virginia creates jewelry, emphasizing regular cleansing rituals as a cornerstone of spiritual health. Her story intertwines mysticism, creativity, and personal growth, offering inspiration for listeners eager to explore their own spiritual journeys. Dr. Berg’s Healthy Keto and Intermittent Fasting Podcast

A stem cell is a reserve cell that can become any cell you need. Stem cell research has shown positive results for people with fibrosis of the heart, liver fibrosis, and damaged brain cells. Stem cells can also be beneficial for the following: •Stimulating new cartilage in the joints •Autoimmune conditions •Rejuvenating skin cells •Cancer Here's how to keep your stem cell population at the highest level. 1. Fasting Prolonged fasting can boost stem cells naturally. If you can fast for 72 hours, you can boost stem cell production primarily for the gastrointestinal tract, brain, and immune system. 2. Exercise Intense exercise is the best way to boost stem cells for your muscles and brain. Exercise also stimulates BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor), which allows you to make new nerve and brain cells. 3. Deep sleep Sleep increases melatonin, which stimulates stem cell regeneration in your brain. Sleep also increases immune and cardiovascular stem cells. 4. Green tea Green tea contains the phytonutrient EGCG, which has potent anti-inflammatory properties and can increase stem cells for your brain and liver. 5. Omega-3 fatty acids Decreasing inflammation can boost stem cell production. Omega-3 fatty acids are anti-inflammatory and can increase stem cells for your bones, cartilage, brain, and skin. 6. Vitamin D Vitamin D and the sun help maintain blood stem cells that are involved with the immune system. Vitamin D increases new immune cells, prevents the exhaustion of stem cells, and can even increase longevity. 7. Cold therapy The cold stimulates brown fat stem cells, which support muscle repair and the mitochondria, decrease inflammation, and increase blood flow. Barriers to stem cell production include: •Inflammation •Stress •Lack of sleep •Junk food •Alcohol •Smoking •Pollution Our normal cells have at least 50 genes that help cope with dehydration. Cancer cells have none of these genes. This is why dry fasting may be destructive to cancer cells.

Trying new things, exploring new spaces and learning new skills can be so rewarding. On this episode of Just In Stride I moved through the journey of elite distance runner and now triathlete, Arianne Raby.Arianne was born to run. She ran in soccer, then in school and even earned a scholarship to continue running. We spoke about the success she had once she finished school, battling through a knee injury and even how she balances training being a new mom. But what was even more interesting was how triathlon has brought out the excitement for endurance sports in Arianne again, something she had lost after a lifetime of running.Arianne Raby

If a substance is a part of nature then it is very unlikely to become a part of mainstream medicine. If it can't be patented, if it can't be turned into a highly profitable product, then it's not going to see the light of day. Such is the fate of ozone! Remarkably healing, incredibly safe, capable of killing bacteria, fungi, viruses and mold, regenerative to joints and stimulating to cellular energy, there's much to love about ozone. Medical grade ozone gas is an important part of antiaging medicine. We use it to rejuvenate joints. Intravenous ozone can stimulate the immune system and support tissue oxygenation. Gently applied Rectal ozone can support patients fighting Crohn's, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis and other chronic inflammatory bowel conditions. Ozone helps the body to heal itself and can spare you the trauma of surgery, or the toxicity of drugs.

What's Good Dimah Fam! So, picture this: you're juggling work, maybe squeezing in a bit of exercise, and then diving straight into your hobbies. It's like you're on this never-ending treadmill, right? But here's a thought – ever considered the magic of just pressing pause? Not the kind of pause where you plop down and binge-watch shows all day (though, no judgment here, we've all been there). I'm talking about something... different. Something that genuinely lights you up inside and gives you that breath of fresh air, away from the usual hustle. Think about it. When was the last time you did something just for the sheer joy of it? Not because you had to, but because it made your soul do a little happy dance? It's easy to forget that our brains aren't designed to be on 24/7. They need that downtime, that moment to reboot, to wander through the fields of imagination and curiosity without a care in the world. It's in these moments, these delightful little pauses, that we find a part of ourselves we've been too busy to notice. And here's the kicker – when you allow yourself this space, this freedom to just be, you're not just taking a break. You're feeding your soul, nurturing your inner child, and guess what? You come back to your daily grind with this newfound energy, this lightness that makes all those tasks, even the hobbies that were starting to feel a bit like obligations, feel fresh and exciting again. So, I say, let's make a pact. Let's promise to give ourselves the gift of time – time to explore, to rest, to simply exist without a to-do list. Who knows what wonders lie in those quiet moments of soul-feeding joy? Trust me, your mind, your body, and your spirit will thank you for it. Let's not wait for a sign or the perfect moment. The time is now, to rediscover the joy in the little things, to reconnect with ourselves and the world around us in the most genuine, fulfilling way possible. Thanks for listening!

Leslie, originally from Southern California but now residing in Oxford, England, shares her journey of discovering spermidine through interactions with Oxford University scientists. Spermidine, a compound with a peculiar name, has shown promising results in rejuvenating the immune system in older individuals, helping them better combat pathogens. Leslie, a former rheumatoid arthritis patient, discusses the implications of spermidine in autoimmune conditions and cancer prevention. The conversation shifts to the dietary sources of spermidine, with Leslie highlighting natto, a Japanese fermented soybean dish, as the highest natural source. Other sources include legumes, grains, mushrooms, and certain cheeses. However, she acknowledges that dietary restrictions such as low-carb or keto diets may limit access to spermidine-rich foods, making supplementation a viable option. Williams expresses interest in spermidine's role in autophagy, a cellular renewal process often associated with fasting. Leslie explains how spermidine can activate autophagy even in non-fasted states, making it a valuable addition to intermittent fasting routines. She suggests taking spermidine supplements before and after fasting periods to optimize its effects. Regarding fasting protocols, Williams inquires about the compatibility of spermidine supplements with longer fasting periods. Leslie explains that while the supplements contain minimal calories, some individuals may experience discomfort if taken on an empty stomach due to the presence of certain nutrients like B vitamins and turmeric. The conversation concludes with advice for individuals interested in trying spermidine supplementation, emphasizing the importance of self-awareness and starting with a low dosage. Leslie shares her personal experience of incorporating spermidine into her nightly routine for better sleep quality. Overall, the podcast provides valuable insights into spermidine supplementation and its potential benefits for individuals seeking to maintain optimal health, particularly those over 40. The concept Dr. Lyon introduces is "muscle-centric medicine," emphasizing the critical role of skeletal muscle in overall health and well-being. She highlights that muscle is often overlooked in preventative medicine and explains how it functions as an organ system within the body. Dr. Lyon believes that healthy skeletal muscle is essential for aging gracefully and maintaining mobility.Dr. Lyon's background includes training in nutritional sciences, board certification in family medicine, and fellowship training in nutritional sciences, making her extraordinarily well-equipped to address the topic of aging and muscle health. She shares her journey of discovery during her fellowship in geriatrics and nutritional sciences, where she observed a common thread among her patients—their health issues were often linked to inadequate skeletal muscle mass rather than obesity. This insight led to the development of her unique perspective on muscle-centric medicine.Dr. Lyon acknowledges the absence of a standardized measurement for optimal skeletal muscle mass, making it challenging for individuals to determine their own muscle health accurately. She emphasizes the importance of strength, mobility, and metabolic markers in assessing muscle health. The conversation underscores the importance of resistance training and strength-building exercises in aging well, as these activities contribute to maintaining metabolic health and functional independence.Overall, the interview with Dr. Gabrielle Lyon provides valuable insights into the often-overlooked role of skeletal muscle in healthy aging and offers guidance on how individuals can improve their muscle health for a more vibrant and energetic life.Connect with https://www.facebook.com/doctorgabriellelyon/https://twitter.com/drgabriellelyonhttps://www.instagram.com/drgabriellelyon/https://drgabriellelyon.comVisit Dr. Ron athttp://www.drron-kaiser.com Hosted on Acast.
