Last week was the worst week in Seattle, and the best week in Michigan. The Huskies hired a coach, but Brett hates his visor. Lofa calls for Dan Quinn to be our new coach, and can Jamal Adams stay healthy next season? Can a good coach win anywhere?? We look around the league at the rest of the matchups this weekend and doesn't MaHomes look silly in his helmet!? Go Hawks!!
The first time I ever listened to Hellabass, the podcast, I was instantly into it. It's honest, raw, not over produced, to the point, funny, has great guests and really touches on just about everything you'd want a bass fishing podcast to cover. Rich (Hellabass) has episodes about lures and tackle, fantasy fishing, tournaments, pro angler guests, industry insiders, and honestly maybe the best thing about his show: he doesn't shy away from sharing his opinion even if it's not a popular one. I reached out to Rich and he graciously agreed to be on our podcast. Dude was traveling for work, in a hotel, and still gave us 2 hours of awesome convo and fun moments. We learn about his visors, he teaches us about the Taco Bell app, he shares his opinion on what makes or breaks podcasts and much much more! Jeff Martin is something of a legend in the Baltimore music scene. Many of you may remember Jeff from his time at Fletchers, but his industry experience is quite larger than you may have realized. From being the production manager at Ottobar, The Fillmore and the allrounder [as he puts it] at Baltimore Soundstage, Jeff has a lot of great history to share. unapologetically The deeper I dove into his rock n' roll resume, the more I found. I was going to do my usual research for this episode, but have opted to simply pull random topics out of a hat, because he's done more things than questions I'd organically come up with. Join me in welcoming skateboarding enthusiast, music producer, tour manager extraordinaire and so much more, Mr. Jeff Martin, to the Mouthful of Graffiti podcast. With Surf and their HM Friends in tow, Papa Cultura & Admiral Squirt head over into eastern Hoenn and begin to settle into what could be their endgame teams... if no-one dies, that is. (Spoiler alert: someone does.) They head into the jungles of Route 119 and get inspired by its triumphant score and a variety of totally bangin' trainers, which the Team Aqua/Magma stooges at the Weather Institute certainly are not. Finally, blocked from accessing Winona's gym in Fortree, they are treated to a delightful little hike and a gift of a Devon Scope from the charming Steven Stone. Visors on, they send Winona's flock to the great birdcage in the sky and then battle each other. Shannon tells us how her own upbringing as a mixed race woman and the experiences of both herself and the experiences of her parents during the civil rights movement as well as her own experiences as a mother who wanted to make sure her kids learned diverse histories she didn't in school all informed her decision to work in DEI . The BosBabes lifestyle sports podcast host Brittany Baldi chats with entrepreneur and pro golfer Sam Yi. He comes from Korean descent and loves short ribs! Who was he mentored by? Former golf star Butch Harmon...they both still have a tight bond. 21 minutes in Sam chats about what it was like growing up in Northridge California and family life. 29 minutes into the episode Mr. Yi chats about becoming the founder of - Storyi - a brand focused on ‘fun golf wear”. People who wear face visors instead of masks to protect themselves from Covid-19 may be putting themselves at greater risk from the illness with older people particularly vulnerable. So should the wearing of visors be banned? Tony O'Brien, former HSE Chief and columnist with the Sunday Business Post spoke to Fran on Tipp Today this morning.
As confirmed cases of Covid-19 continue to rise across the country, Susan was joined by Dr Ronan Boland, GP in Cork and former President of the Irish Medical Organisation to discuss the efficacy of visors in terms of reducing the risk of spreading pathogens & the challenge ahead as we head into the coming winter months. It's all a new world and we're all just trying to get used to living in it, but one thing that is causing an awful lot of debate is around the popular 'visors'. While there's definitely merits to them, recent studies have shown that perhaps we shouldn't be relying on them as our only means for protection. To clear up the big visor debate, and to explain what we all should be wearing, Dr Matt O'Toole joined Dermot and Dave with some quick advice. Flashback to . A spry, 26 year-old Jr is getting ready to head out to only the second midnight release of a video game in his life. You see, after getting an Xbox 360 he got addicted to Halo 3. And then Halo: Reach. It was only natural that Halo 4 would also cause massive levels of excitement as well. He's managed to convince his friend who has to work at 7am to spend the night at his place so they can play until they pass out. It would be a night to remember; full of steak dinners, triple kills, and accidental betrayals. It was good. Never would I have imagined that almost 6 years later I'd have the opportunity to talk with one of the people responsible for creating the game and yet, here we are. Because our guest this week is concept artist and he was indeed one of those people. Working on some of the Halo games isn't his only credit, though. He's currently a Senior Concept Artist for Amazon Game Studios and he also dabbles in art direction for table top games like the about-to-be-funded "". Check out our chat with Kory as we take a trip into the world of concept design and PvP Medieval Brawler Board Games. It's the perfect opportunity to learn something new such as: how to get a job as a concept artist or how to design the perfect Spartan helmet (just be careful when you mess around with the visors, though...). Enjoy! -Jr.

Star Trek prop to help Reading Rainbow grow One of the most memorable props from Star Trek: The Next Generation is the VISOR worn by Geordi LaForge. And the actor who portrayed the blind engineer, LeVar Burton, is bringing the VISOR out of storage to help raise money to help revive his famous children's show Reading Rainbow. PBS stopped airing the show in 2009 after an amazing 26-year run, and since 2012 the program has existed in the form of an app for iPad and Kindle Fire. As part of a Kickstarter beginning May 28, you can actually try the VISOR on yourself. Find out more about Burton's plans for Reading Rainbow. Jonathan Frakes to direct new television series Many Star Trek actors have gone on to direct both within the franchise and beyond. Jonathan Frakes has stayed busy behind the camera over the years as a director and a producer, and his hand will be seen once again later this year when TNT revives the Librarian trilogy as a new television series. Frakes, who directed the second and third parts of the trilogy, will direct a number of episode of the new show that stars Rebecca Romijn, Christian Kane, and John Larroquette. Find out more about The Librarians.
