Susie has a theory about a scubadiving accident Sarah had ten years ago. We wonder why anyone wears a visor. We discuss the 30 for 30 short film about Black "hand clap" games that girls play, how they originated, and why we don't continue them into adulthood. We debate the virtues of locker room nudity, why it's becoming antiquated, and why some people (including Sarah want to bring it back). Susie had an accident in an Uber, and she wants everyone to know, it was not what it looked like. We talk about the filmography and comedy of Eddie Murphy, and the new documentary that chronicles his career. Plus, Susie celebrates the death of the penny, but Sarah is feeling ambivalent.00:00 - Sarah's Scuba Panic and the Mandela Effect Theory09:26 - Debating Visors and Loving Caraway Cookware & Bakeware14:41 - Exploring the History of Black Girls' Hand Games32:32 - Susie's Embarrassing Uber Incident and Naked Etiquette39:47 - The Surprising Story of Gay Rams and Rainbow Wool46:35 - Celebrating Eddie Murphy's Diverse Filmography and Artistry56:19 - Debating the End of the Penny and Our Approach to ChangeBrain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:Visit https://auraframes.com and get $45 off Aura's best-selling Carver Mat frames - named #1 by Wirecutter - by using promo code BRAINCANDY at checkout.Visit https://www.carawayhome.com/braincandy10 to take advantage of this limited-time offer for up to 20% off your next purchase.Go to https://reliefband.com to shop the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale and save up to 30% off sitewide.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

This episode of The Thought Broadcast explores the recent overhaul of the RANZCP's suite of Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs), a core part of its competency-based Fellowship training program since 2012.
If you grew up or currently live and ride bikes in a town with any sort of population, we bet there's either a group ride of some sort that just happened or will be happening in a few days. Maybe it starts from the local bike shop, or maybe it starts from the go-to coffee shop. Some rides are a chill Sunday spin that's gone on uninterrupted for the past two decades, while others are the three-hour World Championship ride with 50 of the local meatheads. We do our best to define these group tries, describe what motivates these rides, and how to find your ideal group ride, even if that means starting one yourself. Of course, we also dig into the news. That means talking about how the UCI handed out a last-minute ban on a Kask helmet visor that the Ineos Grenadiers have used for years, and talking to the team to find out what happened. Then came the sealant conversation. Silca is so certain of its sealant working headache-free that the brand has promised to pay a $500 Bad Day Bonus to its sponsored athletes who get punctures that don't seal. We dove into why it is so confident in its new Ultimate Sealant. All of that and more in the latest podcast! See more from Velo: https://velo.outsideonline.com/featured

Last week was the worst week in Seattle, and the best week in Michigan. The Huskies hired a coach, but Brett hates his visor. Lofa calls for Dan Quinn to be our new coach, and can Jamal Adams stay healthy next season? Can a good coach win anywhere?? We look around the league at the rest of the matchups this weekend and doesn't MaHomes look silly in his helmet!? Go Hawks!!
The first time I ever listened to Hellabass, the podcast, I was instantly into it. It's honest, raw, not over produced, to the point, funny, has great guests and really touches on just about everything you'd want a bass fishing podcast to cover. Rich (Hellabass) has episodes about lures and tackle, fantasy fishing, tournaments, pro angler guests, industry insiders, and honestly maybe the best thing about his show: he doesn't shy away from sharing his opinion even if it's not a popular one. I reached out to Rich and he graciously agreed to be on our podcast. Dude was traveling for work, in a hotel, and still gave us 2 hours of awesome convo and fun moments. We learn about his visors, he teaches us about the Taco Bell app, he shares his opinion on what makes or breaks podcasts and much much more! Jeff Martin is something of a legend in the Baltimore music scene. Many of you may remember Jeff from his time at Fletchers, but his industry experience is quite larger than you may have realized. From being the production manager at Ottobar, The Fillmore and the allrounder [as he puts it] at Baltimore Soundstage, Jeff has a lot of great history to share. unapologetically The deeper I dove into his rock n' roll resume, the more I found. I was going to do my usual research for this episode, but have opted to simply pull random topics out of a hat, because he's done more things than questions I'd organically come up with. Join me in welcoming skateboarding enthusiast, music producer, tour manager extraordinaire and so much more, Mr. Jeff Martin, to the Mouthful of Graffiti podcast. With Surf and their HM Friends in tow, Papa Cultura & Admiral Squirt head over into eastern Hoenn and begin to settle into what could be their endgame teams... if no-one dies, that is. (Spoiler alert: someone does.) They head into the jungles of Route 119 and get inspired by its triumphant score and a variety of totally bangin' trainers, which the Team Aqua/Magma stooges at the Weather Institute certainly are not. Finally, blocked from accessing Winona's gym in Fortree, they are treated to a delightful little hike and a gift of a Devon Scope from the charming Steven Stone. Visors on, they send Winona's flock to the great birdcage in the sky and then battle each other. Shannon tells us how her own upbringing as a mixed race woman and the experiences of both herself and the experiences of her parents during the civil rights movement as well as her own experiences as a mother who wanted to make sure her kids learned diverse histories she didn't in school all informed her decision to work in DEI . She is working on dismantling systemic racism in the running community and on opening up opportunities in these jobs via her role at Brooks and on the Running Industry Diversity Coalition Board .
