YOU are in control of how you FEEL today! I don't know about you, but this is such an EMPOWERING thought for me! NO ONE and NOTHING can take that from you! Instead of feeling like a victim to whatever happens during the day or to whatever feelings come, YOU get to be in control of how you want to feel. I know us mamas, wives, and women just want to control and feel the NEED to be in control. We want to control our husbands, our kids, our circumstances... You want to feel IN CONTROL, because when you do, you feel like you have the power. You have the choice. You have the final say. But so often, our attempts to control others and life's circumstances leave us feeling even more defeated and more frustrated. We CAN'T control others or what happens in life, but we CAN control how we want to feel. We can, however, have control over our emotions and we can be in control of what we so often feel like we are the subject to. THIS is true empowerment. THIS is the control and power that we are actually are longing for. You don't have to let frustration, anger or stress overcome you. You can allow yourself to feel that, OR you can choose to feel something different. If you want to feel joy, peace, and love, YOU can choose to feel that instead. "I am in control of how I feel today!" Try this thought on and see how it feels! Shifting into thoughts like this will allow you to feel what you are actually desiring to feel. No matter the circumstances, no matter the people and no matter what's going on around you. Once you begin to do this, You can start to shift everything in your life. You can then start creating a life of love, joy, confidence, and peace. THIS is how you can finally step into true EMPOWERMENT. PS. Mom guilt is so real! It's so easy to get consumed by all the should haves, should be, should do, shouldn't, shoulda coulda woulda.. haha! But, guilt is not from God. Shame is not from God. This is straight up from the enemy and he will use it any chance he can to get us caught up in this defeating and discouraging cycle. Failure is not your enemy. Your thoughts about what failure MEANS is. Often times, we fail at something and we THINK that means that we are not good enough, we will never be able to succeed, we don't have what it takes, and we ARE failures. When we THINK these types of thoughts, this leads to FEELINGS of defeat, hopelessness, discouragement, and confusion. But failing at something in and of itself, does not mean that YOU are a failure or that you are not good enough. It simply is an opportunity to try again, tweak something, and actually prove to yourself how capable you actually are. What is amazing is that once we recognize these thoughts and become aware of the rotten feelings it causes us, we are then able to CHANGE the thought and CREATE the feeling we long for. So what feelings do you LONG to feel? Hope, excitement, joy, motivation? If this is what you want to feel, you have the power to change your thoughts and think thoughts that serve you and create this for you. Simply shifting your thought from "I am a failure" to "It is POSSIBLE for me to succeed" already brings forth feelings of hope and encouragement. You will either take action or stop taking action from this place, which always leads you to the results in your life. So I challenge you today to notice your thoughts, notice your feelings, and then notice what actions or inaction you take. Shift your thought into one of possibility and see how easily it can transform your life. Once you begin to do this, You can start to shift everything in your life. You can then start creating a life of love, joy, confidence, and peace. This is exactly what I help my clients with and coach them on. God isn't asking you for perfection. He's certainly not calling you to be the "perfect" Christian. I don't always say the right things, do the right things, or act in the right way. Sometimes I'm a hot mess letting my emotions get the best of me. I don't have the perfect marriage. I don't always love motherhood and I don't always love who I'm being. I still get discouraged by the negative thoughts the enemy tries to defeat me with. But what's so beautiful is that God is not requiring perfection from us in order for Him to do a beautiful thing IN us and THROUGH us. He's wanting REAL and AUTHENTIC. He's wanting us to give Him all our baggage, the broken and shattered pieces. He's wanting us to give Him all the ugly. I'm still a work in progress, being led by the Holy Spirit, being taught as His student. I'm a Life Coach always being coached by Him. He is guiding you along the way, teaching you, and catching you every time you fall. He is working out your mess so you can then use it as your message. He sees any progress as a victory! Stop selling yourself short. Stop believing you need to be perfect. Start trusting that you are a beautiful work in progress and the greater the test, the greater the testimony. There is beauty right there in the middle and there is breakthrough right around the corner. How many times do those little offenses often creep up? How about holding onto those big betrayals and pain caused by others? It can be so difficult to forgive, show forgiveness and especially show kindness when someone wrongs us or causes us pain. But it's so important to remember what Jesus did on the cross for us so that we can then show others what He has done in our lives. He has forgiven us all and desires us to feel his love, acceptance and approval. We are so loved and cherished in His eyes. I feel so drained. I'm so frustrated. I feel so overwhelmed. I'm so stressed out. I feel so depleted. I'm so unsatisfied. I feel so unfulfilled. I'm so exhausted. Are you hanging on by a thread? Burnt out? HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU HAD THOUGHTS LIKE THESE OR FEELINGS LIKE THESE??? I know I have had them many many times! Life can be so hard, motherhood can be exhausting, marriage can be disappointing.. ALL THE THINGS... But I realized one thing.. YOU CAN'T POUR FROM AN EMPTY CUP. It all stems from that place. It all comes from a place of defeat! If you are feeding everybody else but yourself, you will never have your cup full. If you are Meeting everyone else's needs but yours you will never walk in victory. So what does filling your cup look like? Start to become aware of the areas in your life that you feel empty in. Your mental health, your physical health, your spiritual health, marriage, motherhood, etc... You must pour INTO YOURSELF first to then be able to pour out well. Start taking small steps. Go to bed 10 minutes earlier, take 10 minutes to be with the Lord, take a nice bath, go on a date with your husband, go outside and rest for 10 minutes. YOU MATTER. SELF CARE IS NOT SELFISH. If God did it before, He will DO IT AGAIN! I was listening to a sermon with this title and it was so powerful.  Do you honestly believe that God can "do it again?" Do you believe that He can do the miracle again? That He can heal again? That He can provide again? So many of us read the Bible and know the miracles and work that God has done, but we often times don't believe that He can or He will do it again for us. I'm here to tell you that HE WILL! If He's done it before, He will do it again.  But, sometimes God is wanting us to surrender, believe, and even try something NEW! I know I have often times been stuck doing the same thing over and over, expecting or hoping for a different result. Who's with me on that??  What if God is saying, "Don't put me in a box! I want to do something NEW." What if He has a new strategy for that challenge you're facing or situation you're dealing with? What if He has the exact answer to that problem, but you're stuck doing the same thing as always, that you are missing what He wants to show you. What if He wants you to take a step out. Maybe that looks like changing up the way you talk to your child. Maybe that looks like going to church. Maybe that looks like spending more time in prayer or the Word. Maybe that looks like hiring a coach!  If you aren't happy with the results you're getting, maybe God is asking you to step it up and try something different. He wants to bring you the Breakthrough. He wants to show you His promises, but we often hold ourselves back from what He has waiting. So, if you have been stuck like I have, I encourage you to release the old and try something new. You have nothing to lose!  You don't have to be stuck in overwhelm, stress, or anxiety. You don't have to live constantly feeling discouraged and hopeless. You can step into Freedom and Joy now. You can step into His Abundance now. There are solutions waiting for you! If you need help discovering them, I'm here for you. But God says something so different. He is our source, he is our confidence, He is the reason we can stand strong and step into Real confidence in Christ. "I wish I could hear God speak to me personally. I just don't know how to hear Him." This is something I used to say and think OFTEN! I used to want His direction and encouragement, but I doubted my ability to hear Him. I used to think maybe He just wasn't saying anything. I'm so thankful that He has proven me wrong and has guided me into learning to know His sweet and kind still small voice. I am constantly discovering the tangible reality of who He is and am leaning deeper into what He is saying. I used to not have a clue as to what He was speaking directly to me. God speaks in so many beautiful and different ways. Whether it be through thoughts, ideas, feelings, senses, pictures or dreams, He is Always speaking!! He is speaking in many different ways, and He is ALWAYS wanting to speak to YOU! LISTEN UP! You do NOT have to live POWERLESS any longer.  I get it. I lived feeling powerless most of my life.  Being ruled by my thoughts, my feelings, emotions, and circumstances. I didn't realize that I had the power to change things and create a life I loved. Investing in my own coach was so beneficial and has empowered me more than ever! I realized just how much say I have- in my thoughts, my actions, my situations.  I am no longer OK with just letting life happen to me. I am no longer able to just sit back, wallow in my pity, and stay a victim. I have CHOSEN to CHOOSE. To choose my thoughts, choose my actions, choose my feelings.  I am learning to have power over them. I have made confident decisions, found my true self, and continually take action steps towards the life I want.  LADIES! You can have it too! You can have a life you Love! It's time for you to take YOUR POWER back! To use the Authority that God has given you! You have the power within- the Holy Spirit. You carry the authority to speak life over a situation. You have the power to to choose LIFE and not death- Life giving thoughts, life giving words, life giving actions. You do not have to be a victim any longer.  You can go ahead and continue to wallow in your feelings, self pity, doubt, fear, anxiety... but you can also choose Freedom. You can choose to become empowered. You can choose to Step into who God has Truly designed you to be and Become the confident, Kingdom Woman, He has created you to be. Enough is enough. Romans 8:6 "The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace." The enemy does whatever he can to trick us, confuse us, and lie to us. He plays with our mind and whispers deceit. It is his mission to bring us into defeat and cause us to stay stuck there! But God's word says that if our mind is governed by the spirit, we will live in peace! Are you in a constant battle in your mind, going back and forth in negativity? It's time to renew your mind, declare His word, and believe His truth. You can live in Victory and abundance, you can walk in all that God promises. God says there will be trials, BUT He also promises Hope in the middle of them and a way out. Life will throw many challenges at us, discourage us, and leave us feeling empty and alone. Thankfully, God meets us right in the middle of them and will provide everything we need if we let Him! Don't let the enemy's lies rule you any longer! I feel so drained. I'm so frustrated. I feel so overwhelmed. I'm so stressed out. I feel so depleted. I'm so unsatisfied. I feel so unfulfilled. I'm so exhausted. Are you hanging on by a thread? Burnt out? HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU HAD THOUGHTS LIKE THESE OR FEELINGS LIKE THESE??? I know I have had them many many times! Life can be so hard, motherhood can be exhausting, marriage can be disappointing.. ALL THE THINGS... But I realized one thing.. YOU CAN'T POUR FROM AN EMPTY CUP. It all stems from that place. It all comes from a place of defeat! If you are feeding everybody else but yourself, you will never have your cup full. If you are Meeting everyone else's needs but yours you will never walk in victory. So what does filling your cup look like? Start to become aware of the areas in your life that you feel empty in. Your mental health, your physical health, your spiritual health, marriage, motherhood, etc... You must pour INTO YOURSELF first to then be able to pour out well. Start taking small steps. Go to bed 10 minutes earlier, take 10 minutes to be with the Lord, take a nice bath, go on a date with your husband, go outside and rest for 10 minutes. YOU MATTER. SELF CARE IS NOT SELFISH. If God did it before, He will DO IT AGAIN! I was listening to a sermon with this title and it was so powerful. Do you honestly believe that God can "do it again?" Do you believe that He can do the miracle again? That He can heal again? That He can provide again? So many of us read the Bible and know the miracles and work that God has done, but we often times don't believe that He can or He will do it again for us. I'm here to tell you that HE WILL! If He's done it before, He will do it again. But, sometimes God is wanting us to surrender, believe, and even try something NEW! I know I have often times been stuck doing the same thing over and over, expecting or hoping for a different result. Who's with me on that?? What if God is saying, "Don't put me in a box! I want to do something NEW." What if He has a new strategy for that challenge you're facing or situation you're dealing with? What if He has the exact answer to that problem, but you're stuck doing the same thing as always, that you are missing what He wants to show you. What if He wants you to take a step out. Maybe that looks like changing up the way you talk to your child. Maybe that looks like going to church. Maybe that looks like spending more time in prayer or the Word. Maybe that looks like hiring a coach! If you aren't happy with the results you're getting, maybe God is asking you to step it up and try something different. He wants to bring you the Breakthrough. He wants to show you His promises, but we often hold ourselves back from what He has waiting. So, if you have been stuck like I have, I encourage you to release the old and try something new. You have nothing to lose! You don't have to be stuck in overwhelm, stress, or anxiety. You don't have to live constantly feeling discouraged and hopeless. You can step into Freedom and Joy now. You can step into His Abundance now. There are solutions waiting for you! If you need help discovering them, I'm here for you.
