He is sent away from his foster parents in Zanzibar to serve a rich family on the mainland, in Dar es Salaam. He feels inferior and ignorant, but is soon embraced by the son of the house, Karim. When Badar is later accused of stealing from his employer, he gets to move in with Karim and his fiancée, Fauzia.In a finely tuned and precise language, Gurnah portrays the deeply human experiences of the three young people, through trials and tribulations as they grow up, and he explores human relations with characteristic empathy and eye for alienation.Abdulrazak Gurnah is professor of postcolonial literature, and the author of eleven novels, among them the critically acclaimed Paradise and Afterlives. Gurnah is a master of allusion, and in an understated language, he creates recognizable, flawed characters, always with a keen eye for those feeling like outsiders.One who has followed Gurnah's writing for years, and also been mentored by him herself, is author and historian Nadifa Mohamed. Distinguished poet and lyricist Gopaldas Neeraj(1925-2018) was born Gopaldas Saxena in a village called Purvali, Etawah Uttar Pradesh. A Professor of Hindi literature from Dharma Samaj College,Aligarh and author of several Hindi poetry collection as well, Neeraj had been felicitated with numerous literary awards including the prestigious Sahitya Shiromani. He had also written several hindi songs like 'Ae bhai, zara dekh ke chalo', 'Kaarvan guzar gaya','likhe jo khat tujhe','shokiyon mein ghola jaye',etc. Neeraj was conferred with Padma Shri in 1991 and Padma Bhushan in 2007 apart from Filmfare (thrice) for his excellent work in the field of Liiterature and Cinema. Neeraj has left behind a huge amount of literary works,some of them include collected poems entitled Sangharsh (1944), Antardhavani (1946), Vibhavari (1948), Prangeet(1950, Dard diya hai (1956), Badar baras gayi (1957), Neeraj ki paati (1958), Kaarvan guzar gaya (1964), Phir deep jal gaya (1970) etc. He died in 2018 after a prolonged illness.

Desde 1978 se dedica a las artes visuales. Se formó en los talleres de Mirta Nadal de Badaró, Félix Bernasconi, Guillermo Fernández y en el Club de Grabado, incursionando en distintas técnicas: pintura, grabado, instalaciones y cerámica.Su primera muestra fue en 1982.Desde entonces ha obtenido distinciones en numerosos concursos y salones nacionales e internacionales, entre ellos el Salón de Arte de La Paz (Bolivia), el Premio Paul Cézanne, una mención en el Salón Nacional y el Gran Premio Ana Frank.Este último le permitió exponer en Holanda y esa exhibición, a su vez, fue el detonante de su acercamiento al tema judío desde el arte. En 2008, trabajó en el Proyecto Shoá con una obra sobre los niños de Terezín, y en 2009 viajó a Yad Vashem a estudiar arte.Utiliza mucho el collage y la escritura en sus obras: a veces brajot en hebreo, otras veces bendiciones en español, dependiendo del contexto.Su última serie, “Vidas”, se expuso en el Museo Nacional de Artes Visuales hasta el 10 de noviembre. Esta muestra recorre la vida de un ciudadano rumano-húngaro judío deportado en 1944 a Auschwitz-Birkenau junto a sus padres, hermana y abuelo.Packer toma la vida de su padre como hilo conductor para la expresión plástica de las distintas capas que componen la vida, la supervivencia, la memoria, y la percepción del tiempo.

Penjelasan firman Allah: أَوَلَمَّا أَصابَتْكُمْ مُصِيبَةٌ قَدْ أَصَبْتُمْ مِثْلَيْها قُلْتُمْ أَنَّى هَذَا قُلْ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ أَنْفُسِكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ Dan mengapa ketika kalian ditimpa musibah (pada peperangan Uhud), padahal kalian telah menimpakan kekalahan dua kali lipat kepada musuh-musuh kalian (pada peperangan Badar) kalian berkata, "Dari mana datangnya (kekalahan) ini?" Katakanlah, "Itu dari (kesalahan) diri kalian sendiri." Sesungguhnya Allah Mahakuasa atas segala sesuatu. وَما أَصابَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعانِ فَبِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ . وَلِيَعْلَمَ الَّذِينَ نافَقُوا Dan apa yang menimpa kalian pada hari bertemunya dua pasukan, maka (kekalahan) itu adalah dengan izin (takdir) Allah; dan agar Allah mengetahui siapa orang-orang yang beriman, dan supaya Allah mengetahui siapa orang-orang yang munafik. وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعالَوْا قاتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوِ ادْفَعُوا قالُوا لَوْ نَعْلَمُ قِتالاً لاتَّبَعْناكُمْ هُمْ لِلْكُفْرِ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَقْرَبُ مِنْهُمْ لِلْإِيمانِ يَقُولُونَ بِأَفْواهِهِمْ مَا لَيْسَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِما يَكْتُمُونَ Kepada mereka dikatakan, "Marilah berperang dijalan Allah atau pertahankanlah (diri kalian)."
