I'll be back with the fallout from the election next week. But until then here's a Halloween Hangover episode of the show that consists of my appearance on Jason Myles' Pop Life. Toure Reed also joined the program. We talked about teen-campers in the woods horror movies from FRIDAY THE 13TH and SLEEPAWAY CAMP franchises to more obscure titles like THE BURNING, MADMAN, and CHEERLEADER CAMP. Toure gave his thoughts on Joss Wheadon's CABIN IN THE WOODS and its tongue-in-cheek "meta" approach to horror. Realize everyone is burned out from the election, so hopefully this episode will be some type of reprieve.
Johnny Spoiler unpacks the origins of Halloween with some bizarre facts, like candy corn's old name, "chicken feed," and how bobbing for apples was once a matchmaking game. He also dives into movie reactions, including Mark Hamill's role in the revival of Regular Show and the lasting legacy of RoboCop. Plus, Johnny pays tribute to screen legends Kris Kristofferson and John Amos, discusses Marvel's Oscar push for Hugh Jackman in Bad Education, and breaks down AMC Fear Fest's Halloween lineup. Tune in for reactions to '80s slasher flicks, including Cheerleader Camp, and a look at horror parody Crackcoon. Get 7 days free of horror movies on Paramount Plus with our exclusive link—perfect for Halloween season!

Do you ever just... stare off into the void and wonder what the world has in store for us? Like... Where do we go when all this ends? What is the purpose of our existence? We continue these thoughts on the afterlife in Real World Horror, where we take a look at 49ers quarterback Sam Darnold's harrowing experience with the other side when he stayed in teammate George Kittle's possibly haunted pool house. In Horror Business, we instead look at the undead with a new Korean reality show pitting everyday Joes and Janes against hordes of zombies, as well as a reboot of Return of the Living Dead. We also head to the UK for FrightFest and Ted Raimi's new film, flip through the pages of an American Psycho comic book, and come back to the states to explore the Mall of America's haunted attraction. For our film reviews, we grab our pom poms and megaphones and do a little rah-rah-rah for the 1988 slasher film Cheerleader Camp. We then close out with the new flick featuring horror royalty, Natty Knocks, starring Bill Moseley, Danielle Harris, and Robert Englund. So stuff that ennui down next to your nihilism and waste away the next couple hours of your life with a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast.
We have finally arrived at our last "The Horror of 1988" special. Angelique is back in this extended episode to talk about one of the weirdest 1988 horror films we have covered this year. This film tries to do it all, from being a raunchy 80s teen comedy to slasher to...something. Tune in to see if this film is worth cheering about. Tech difficulties be damned, Ian still gets a chance to weigh in on this as well. We also announce the movies we will be covering for our "Perfect 10" Series next year. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/spoilerroompodcast/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/spoilerroompodcast/support
When it comes to ‘80s slashers, CHEERLEADER CAMP is definitely an acquired taste. Though it's meant to be a comedy, the humor is completely inappropriate, especially by today's standards, and some of the dialogue is so strange, you sometimes can't tell what's meant to be a joke and what isn't. And, lest we forget, it contains some of the most painfully bad white-guy rapping committed to 35mm. CHEERLEADER CAMP isn't completely devoid of positives, though they're few and far between. Join Jed and I as we tackle this goofball romp. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/blindragepod/message
2-4-6-8, who do we decapitate!? We've got an obscure slasher this week, maniacs: 1988's Cheerleader Camp! Bringing this movie to the table is the vocalist of Griphook, Zach Butcher. While we try to figure out exactly how old these characters are supposed to be, we also discuss topics such as beer helmets, the musical stylings of Snow, and Big Milk invades the podcast yet again. Do you want to hear us discuss more obscure slasher flicks? Check out our episodes on He Knows You're Alone (episode 6), Iced (episode 25), Rocktober Blood (episode 49), Hunter's Blood (episode 93), The Mutilator (episode 157), and Edge Of The Axe (episode 176).
Part three of the boys' summer camp cinema series sees them taking a summer job at Mean Gene's rowdy lakeside bar in MEATBALLS III, stalking bloody pom poms in CHEERLEADER CAMP, and finally diving headfirst into hardcore porn with Gary Graver's SUMMER CAMP GIRLS. Make sure to bring your jimmy hats, because this episode is very, very horny.

This week we dive deep into the details of Friday The 13th: Part II, Cheerleader Camp & Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers! We also do a quick recap over our three camp slashers of last week, and give quick overviews of what we thought of Friday The 13th (1980), Madman and The Burning. Dig in, and feast on our 80's extravaganza!
When one thinks of the Asylum, memories of flying sharks, creatively titled mockbusters, and zombified zoo creatures come to mind....however, they have also released several sex comedies in the vein of the OG classics that defined the genre. In this part 1 episode we review- 18 Year Old Virgin, #1 Cheerleader Camp, Milf, and Barely Legal. All films that prove you can still be a Todd on a budget. Check out fleshwoundfeatures.com, Horror Cartel Flesh Wound Radio Facebook page, and like Flesh Wound Features also on Facebook.
A group of cheerleaders become the targets of an unknown killer at a remote summer camp.

We are back on track with our second Up All Night cheerleader movie, 1988's Cheerleader Camp, the slasher... what's the opposite of classic? Shitshow. The slasher shitshow Cheerleader Camp. Josh, Ora, and Cody talk about all the mascot heads and homoerotic subtext you could want as we try to find something interesting in this snorefest.
Bee & Ryan go to camp this week, Cheerleader Camp that is. Listen as they discuss this Leif Garret staring slasher that has some awesome surrealist dream sequences, decent kills, a final girl gone "crazy" & plenty of misogynistic themes to dive into.PLUS they talk Nevada City Film Fest, Satanic Panic, 90's thrillers, & Magic Mike in their Pop Culture Check-In."

We made it to Episode 030 which is a reason to cheer! Travel with us this week to Cheerleader Camp (1988) where the scare isn't nearly as big as the hair. This film is the definition of cheesy 80s horror and therefore it is most definitely Laser Graves approved. Theme song by E.K. Wimmer Follow us on Instagram @lasergraves
Jess Byard June continues with a look at a film that we guarantee you've probably never heard of, but you've seen some of the folks getting sliced and diced in it: Cheerleader Camp. The film stars future Saw franchise star Betsy Russell as a cheerleader whos trip to a cheerleading summer camp with her troupe is interrupted by a maniacal serial killer bent on killing everyone close to her. It's a late entry into the summer camp slasher horror subgenre that has some fascinating ideas but ultimately fails to differentiate itself from better films that came before it. OughtFive Film's Father Malone joins Chris as they breakdown the film, weird mascot sex dreams, and casting porn stars as actresses in horror movies. You can follow Chris Stachiw at @KultureStach and the Kulturecast @kulturecast. Jamie and Doug are relieved to find that their kids were not among the murdered at Camp Hurrah so of course they're relieved. Not long after that though, they do find out that the Camp has run for years not accredited by the American Board of Cheer Camps (the ABCC) and was nothing more than a scam concocted by Kristen Wiig. https://www.goodtimesgreatmovies.com Twitter: https://twitter.com/GTGMcast Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/goodtimesgreatmovies Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/goodtimesgreatmoviespodcast Support the show on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/goodtimesgreatmovies

It's our third episode! This time we're watching 1988's Cheerleader Camp (aka Bloody PomPoms) starring Betsy Russell, Leif Garrett and Lorie Griffin. Lots of double-consonant last names and even more red wine to get us through. It's one heck of a movie, with one heck of a rap. As always we find out if it Jamie Lee's, learn a little about Lucinda Dickey(Cory) and sing some Shania. It's a fun one and our favorite episode so far!
SORRELL BROOKE (The Dukes of Hazzard) and LEIF GARRETT (Cheerleader Camp) face off in a battle to the death between a small army of bloodthirsty psychotic children and a group of unfortunate adults snowbound at a remote mountain cabin in the truly bizarre DEVIL TIMES FIVE. Robert Berry's musical career has followed his passion, and that's led to him playing and collaborating with some of the best musicians on the planet. A true journeyman, he's got some fantastic stories to tell, and that's what we all love here on GigGab. Listen to the interview to hear Robert talk about getting an out-of-the-blue call from Carl Palmer, having that first lunch with Keith Emerson, sitting on the side of the stage watching The Who play to small audiences, collaborating with Steve Howe and playing at Cheerleader Camp! Throughout it all, it's obvious that Robert stays true to who he is, and obviously loves it all.
An analysis of Cheerleader Camp, a horror movie from 1988 that is also known as Bloody Pom Poms.
Hot Dog #45- This week, Frank-cis and Reverend Zach watched 1988’s “Cheerleader Camp”. This film had us asking such questions as; what exactly is the reason for the entire screen turning bright red? Are we supposed to be suspicious of Allison, even after we know for a fact she is not the killer? Does this movie contain the absolute worst example of two white people rapping? Why does it take 50 minutes for someone to get slashed in a slasher movie? Why does no one call the police, ever!?!? How has this camp not been shut down for criminal neglect? Why do we see the fat guy's butt for so long? And other questions! Join us for this Hot Dog! Edited by- Zach, Music Composed by Nick April.
