Gas. I think of all the things I knew (in theory) about parenting a new-born but had to experience in person to fully appreciate, it is the myriad curiosities of a two-and-a-half-week-old's digestive tract that have left me the most befuddled. I knew in theory that babies had to be burped. I knew in theory they often have problems and discomfort when digesting their latest feeds. I knew in theory that a baby with gas or an obstruction somewhere in his gut might even wake himself up. I guess I'm just shocked at the speed with which I've transformed into one of those parents totally obsessed with his baby son's belches and bowels. It's the pain, that does it. When something's trapped somewhere deep, the way his little face scrunches up and contorts, how he writhes and twists and clenches every muscle in his body. Often I'm holding him and he's holding me, his tiny little hand gripping my index finger as he clenches, his fingers white and his face a crimson red with the strain and effort. Before you ask, yes, I have tried various techniques for getting things moving at both ends. In fact, my social media feed these days seems to be nothing but baby osteopaths folding infants in half. There's the classic baby-over the shoulder, pat on the back. There's the stomach massage, the bicycle legs, and the deep squat. There's the baby over the forearm, neck-supported facing out, and the baby-over-the-forearm, neck-supported facing in. My personal favourite is the wiggle-waggle, where you lift him under his armpits with one hand, and take his weight under his butt with the other. You gently move your hands in different directions to bring a range of movement to his digestive track, in the hope you will be rewarded with a range of movements in return. I knew we'd have disrupted sleep. I just never really accounted for the gas part of being up at night. His mum feeds him – not much I can do there – but the of course, one of us has to sit up imbed for a non-specific amount of time... just waiting. You can never be totally sure he's been fully burped. There's no finish line as it were. It's a judgement call. And at 2.53am when your body is urging you to lie-down and go back to sleep (“Look at him, he seems fiiine”) – you know that if you pull the trigger too early, he'll be waking himself up in twenty minutes, twisting and groaning in bed. When you think about it, it's pretty crazy that new-borns go from relying on the placenta for all their nutrients to instantly switching on the full length of the complex human digestive tract. It's not like they ease into it. Alas, as our son's milk intake has increased, his digestive tract has not quite kept pace. Put simply, the outputs don't always match the inputs. It's perfectly normal, of course, and he's far too young to be hurrying up with a tray of black coffee and prune juice, but sometimes his stomach feels hard to the touch. Cruelly, his preferred way of soothing his discomfort is to feed again, which then exacerbates the problem. At 19-days-old he's not yet ready to listen to reason or comprehend the concept of a vicious cycle. I'm back in the office fulltime this week after a wonderful period at home. But I can tell you already that my texts with my wife are gonna' take on a grimly digestive line of inquiry. The thing about parenting is that while your share in your child's discomfort you also share in their almighty relief. Especially when someone else is on clean-up.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Cruelly nicknamed McNamara's Morons, Project 100,000 was an initiative started under—you guessed it—Robert McNamara during the Vietnam War. In this project, over 320,000 men were either drafted or volunteered for service, nearly all of whom failed the Armed Forces Qualification Test, which is used to determine basic eligibility for military service. Project 100,000 inductees placed in the lower 10th to 30th percentiles of the test, referred to as Category IV. Normally, candidates who place in Category IV are deemed unsuitable for military service and are told to return to civilian life. Project 100,000, however, was an experiment to see whether military entry requirements could be lowered. You can find every episode of this show on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or YouTube. It's the second installment of our scheme to wheedle 5 star reviews from you guys! Listeners Jess Kelley, @ChiMothBoy and @AwfullyWaffly told the world we're the prettiest princess in the land, and instructed us to watch 3 different matches, and honestly we had a fricken ball. First up was the team of Naito and Takahashi vs the Golden Lovers, and we fell in LOVE with the cat man. We did mess up the NAME of the cat man, but we got there in the end. Also? Golden Lovers good at wrestling. You heard it here first! Up next was Eddie Kingston vs Mike Quackenbush in a CHIKARA match from 2011, and we spent the whole time lusting over Eddie, and peeping at all our favs around the ring. Ten stars, loved the experience. Lastly, we had our minds blown apart by a British indie match of Pac vs Cara Noir. The aesthetics! The camera work! The dramatiques! We were ENRAPTURED, and then CRUELLY were sent to hell by the knowledge that Riptide Wrestling no longer exists, and the new love of our life Cara Noir is injured. Donate to his GoFundMe here, because we MUST have this man back on our screens!

Matt Hampson is an extraordinary human being. Cruelly injured by a rugby accident in 2005, Matt was left paralysed from the neck down and unable to breathe unless he was on a ventilator. But as a promising young prop forward in the Leicester Tigers Academy, rugby had given him a will to win and a desire to overcome any obstacle. He set about turning his disadvantage into something magical and in 2021 was awarded an OBE for voluntary and charitable service. His 'Hambo' Foundation continues to go from strength to strength and he provides some much-needed space and support for those in similar situations to himself. An inspirational listen, this episode documents Matt's journey and what he has come to represent in the game. This podcast is produced in association with George Davies Turf - find out more here

On Good Friday in 1953, at only 18 months old, 25 miles from the nearest hospital in Manhattan, Kansas, Cassandra Peterson reached for a pot on the stove and doused herself in boiling water. Third-degree burns covered 35% of her body, and the prognosis wasn't good. But she survived. Burned and scarred, the impact stayed with her and became an obstacle she was determined to overcome. Feeling like a misfit led to her love of horror. While her sisters played with Barbie dolls, Cassandra built model kits of Frankenstein and Dracula, and idolized Vincent Price. Due to a complicated relationship with her mother, Cassandra left home at 14, and by age 17 she was performing at the famed Dunes Hotel in Las Vegas as the youngest showgirl in Vegas. Run-ins with the likes of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and Tom Jones helped her grow up fast. Then a chance encounter with the "King," himself, Elvis Presley, changed the course of her life forever, and inspired her to travel to Europe where she worked in film and toured Italy as lead singer of an Italian pop band. She eventually made her way to Los Angeles, joining the famed improv group, The Groundlings, and honing her comedic skills alongside Phil Hartman and Paul "Pee-wee" Reubens. Then in 1981, nearing age 30, a struggling actress considered past her prime, Cassandra auditioned at local LA channel KHJ as hostess for their late-night horror movies. She improvised, made the role her own, and got the job as "Elvira" on the spot, never imagining it would lead to fame and a forty-year career. YOURS CRUELLY, ELVIRA (9/21/21, Hachette Books, Hardcover, $29, 9780306874352) is Cassandra's unforgettably wild memoir that does not shy away from revealing exactly who she is and how she overcame seemingly insurmountable odds. Always original and often outrageous, YOURS CRUELLY, ELVIRA is the candid, often hilarious, downright shocking, and sometimes heart-breaking tale of a Midwest farm girl's long strange trip to become the world's sexiest, sassiest Halloween icon. Cassandra Peterson was born in Manhattan, Kansas and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After years as a dancer/singer/actress/comedian, she created the character Elvira, which became an overnight success. In addition to hosting her long-running TV series Movie Macabre, Peterson went on to co-write and star in two self-titled feature films, Elvira, Mistress of the Dark and Elvira's Haunted Hills. She has spent four decades solidifying her unique brand and building it into an internationally recognized pop culture icon synonymous with Halloween and the horror genre.

In this episode, Dr. Lorraine Gailey, tackles the importance of including communication partners in audiological care. As previous CEO for Hearing Link, a rehabilitation service for adults with severe and profound hearing loss, Dr. Gailey knows that there are not many people who really understand what a person with severe and profound hearing loss must bear. This is why it is particularly important for hearing care professionals to provide the support needed to reduce the social isolation of these clients.

This month we are celebrating the Goddess Brigid and her feast day of Imbolc by releasing a month filled with Goddess stories. This episode is the post show chat about the previous, pretty dark tale. Trigger warning, this story contains subject matter of abuse and even psychological torture… but then most good myths have something pretty dark just under the surface. We chat about how much better a story is when you shine light on the full aspect. Aron told the story of Fionn meeting Sadhbh way back in episode 14 but, this time Sorcha tells a reimagining of the story from Sadhbh’s perspective. In the Fianna Fionn Mac Coole was the great leader, but there is an old Irish proverb that says “a man is a man when his woman is a woman”. And though we usually know the story of Sadhbh from Fionn’s perspective, this cuts out an entire chunk of the action. Sorcha delves deeper into the mind of a woman tormented by an evil druid, unable to take no for an answer. Cruelly cursed, her only reprieve is the short lived love she finds with Fionn, which leaves her pregnant. But all too soon she is whisked away to the other world, and her torment resumes. She gave birth to Oísin - but that is all we know of her. Is she still in the otherworld? Did she ever get away from her tormentor? How can someone sustain themselves living like that? GROW. Greatness Reached over Oppression through Wisdom"Once upon a time in a haystack of despairHappiness sometimes hard to find (yeah)Africa divided, hijack in the airIt's enough to make you want to lose your mindAnd I say it's only mountains and the seaLove will conquer if you just believe, oh yeahIt's only mountains and the seaThere's nothing greater, uh huh, than you and me," Mountains by the Legend Prince. The songs are very fitting by these African artists because it doesn't matter your Wealth or Status in this Country. Every single African has lived under Oppression, every single one of us, here in The New World and everywhere. We don't have Equal Rights, We have been stripped of our Dignity and we have we've been Cruelly and Unjustly treated; that is Oppression. Music: Majestic Nature by Craig Stuart Garfinkle Artwork by Steve English The script: Episode 1 - Prologue Yorkshire is a magical place. But that said, it's not always good magic – although usually, it is. However, very occasionally, it's downright nasty! More enchantment and entrapment than puppy dogs and ponies! Take for example a little piece of North Yorkshire, probably somewhere in the North York Moors, but more hidden than elsewhere. And when I say hidden, what I really mean is locked away - isolated. This area is so enchanted that the people inside, the ones who were there when it got locked away and isolated – aren't able to leave. In fact, they can't even remember why they were isolated - or anything from before that isolation. When they do try and leave, when they go to the invisible boundary between this place and the rest of the world, instead of leaving - they find themselves coming back into some other part of their locked away land. (Laugh) Interestingly, when they try and go - and regardless of where they leave from, they always come back to the same fixed point – which can actually be quiet helpful depending on where that point is. I mean, for some people it can be a quick way home. All they need to do is walk to the nearest boundary, and no matter where that boundary is, they end up back in their village or even their own homes! But for others, it can be a little awkward. Pity the poor soul who accidentally leaves only to find themselves entering a busy pig-pen! Cruelly, visitors from outside, people who weren't inside when the isolation happened, come and go at will. But, because of the enchantment, or whatever it is - once those visitors leave, they don't remember details. All they know is that they went somewhere and came back again – and have no desire to remember anything else. Inside this locked away and enchanted part of Yorkshire there's a Manor and three villages. No-one can remember the original names of the villages, as that seems to have been lost when the enchantment arrived. So, for now, they're known by what happens to the villages and the villagers at the stroke of midnight on a full moon. (P) In all honesty, it starts getting really bad on the day that the full moon's going to happen and tends to last until the morning after. It's just hit's it peak (or trough depending on how you look at it) at midnight on the night of full moon. OK, so the first village is known as Rott. This is because the people (and the village itself) literally rot to pretty much nothing on the night of the full moon. That said, by sunrise, the next morning, the village and the villagers are kind of back to normal. So, it doesn't last. Although it can make for some fascinating discussions and experiences around the night of full moon! The next village is called Grott - because those villagers turn into a slimy, grotty mucus-like substance. And the third village is called Snott. Not because they turn into a mucus-like substance – they don't. Instead, they shrink, and with that shrinkage tends to come an attitude – so pretty quickly they got known as ‘Little Snotts' - and the name ‘Snott' stuck. The Manor – or Manor Rott, Grott & Snott – to give it its present title. Is lived in by the Baron. You may as well go on a hunt for snails teeth than look for someone who appears more evil, nasty and wicked than the Baron. Some think they can even see the evil coming off him in a vapour! But just one look at him and you KNOW he's the personification of wickedness. Somehow, there're still servants working at the Manor, but nowadays there're only 2 – which is suspicious! I mean, it's quite a large Manor, so where did all the other servants go? How's all the work done? And, why did these 2 stay? Of those remaining servants, the oldest is the butler and known as Thornton. He is extraordinarily deaf (when it suits him) and not known for doing … well … anything really. Seth Godin, of Purple Cow fame, writes, “Trust and attention – these are the scarce items in a post-scarcity world.” I’m obviously fairly partisan on this issue but would certainly add “Fear” to his list as well. Or, specifically, how do you embrace and leverage “fear” in your systematic effort towards Market Dominance? No one said Market Dominance would be easy. It’s diligent and deliberate…it’s a three-year marathon where one of your end goals is that you end up having discovery meetings with 60% of your market. It’s both ambitious and arduous to set a course for market dominance. But the results are irrefutable…IF your inputs are consistent. For instance, understanding that the constraint of your sales system is not headcount, sales methodology, or even price point; It’s the flow rate of conversations with relevant people that you have at the top of your funnel that is so commonly the real constraint to success. But as entrepreneurs and Sales Leaders, knowing what we need to do to fix this top of funnel constraint is often a dreadful and fear-inducing exercise. Because we know what this real constraint is called: It stirs in the bellies of sales professionals everywhere. It’s not the bogeyman, or Baba Yaga or Pennywise; it’s the “Cold Call.” This king of all top of funnel constraint leads many teams to displacement…or the simple avoidance of what truly needs to be done by doing something seemingly easier or far less friction. Like sending email. Or better yet, sending an email campaign. Or doing SEO, lots and lots of SEO...Anything but jumping on the phone and talking to strangers. Even in our own sales community on LinkedIn, there are countless and doggedly argued threads every week where a new sales “expert” likes to wax on about the final death knell of the cold call. Or that having your reps Cold Call is a colossal waste of both capital and goodwill. They’ll spin compelling data about pick up rates, dial to conversion rates, and even quote rep turnover percentages to win minds to their side. Cruelly enforcing this medieval and antiquated exercise in futility must stop in our sales craft. Because “Fear.” Fear of employing a practice that is seen as dated. Fear of people leaving your organization. Fear of doing something that doesn’t get results. And mostly, though, we fear the experience of making cold calls ourselves. But if we’re committed to be Market Dominant, we'd be wise to let fear play its healthy role with our competition. Let your competitors embrace that fear and refuse to use an indispensable tool like the cold call. Fine. But we are also wise to let fear play its role in the cold call itself. With the prospect. Because we want to use it to create tension in a relationship that we can then resolve. And, according to the Van Helsing of GoToMarket strategies – my partner on the other side of this microphone, Chris Beall - the way you properly run a cold call is acknowledging you that you start from a position of fear. Because the other person is indeed afraid of you. They're afraid of you because you're an invisible stranger and an invisible stranger is the worst possible thing in the environment of evolution. Those are the people from across the river paint their faces wrong…they put a bone in their ears, instead of their nose…and maybe they even talk funny. Their drumbeats don't sound quite like yours …and you would really prefer they stay on the other side of the river where they belong. We have this inherent fear with invisible strangers. And when we cold-call somebody we trigger that fear and they may express that fear in “pushback.” Feelings like annoyance, anger, dismissiveness… whatever it happens to be. But when we're afraid, something interesting also happens, too; We tend not to run away. We want to get away, but instead, we put a little defense mechanism…a little squid ink, so to speak. And that’s the point where we need to embrace fear in the call. And so this episode, we learn from Chris how to properly use fear and how to ultimately turn that fear into trust…and then that trust into curiosity…and then that curiosity into real commitment. So turn off all the lights, light a candle, and cue the macabre organ music…This is The Market Dominance Guys and this week's episode entitled, “Don’t Look Under the Bed: How to Make Fear your Friend in Cold Calling.”The Market Dominance Guys is Brought to You by:ConnectAndSell. Richie Sadlier joins us in the studio for episode #105 of Paddy Holohan's No Shame Podcast. A former professional footballer & Irish International, Richie is currently a leading football pundit, panelist/presenter with Second Captains, author & full time therapist. Richie has recently released his autobiography, Recovering, with the book scooping the prestigious sports book of the year at the 2019 An Post Book Awards. Both men discuss the writing process of their respective autobiographies with both books being released just weeks apart. Paddy discusses the freedom of getting a book off his chest, getting the whole truth out there & giving his critics all the ammunition they need. Richie expresses a similar feeling with his book highlighting the power to disarm people by being open & honest. The logic being that if you've nothing to hide then people have nothing to hit you with. Richie tells Paddy of his love for playing football as a kid. From the moment he could walk, he was never without a ball to kick around. Being passionate about the sport fuelled the hard-work & dedication that would earn him a contract with Millwall FC in 1996. Sadlier had just completed his leaving cert & was 17 years of age. The probability of failure was extremely high with only 3-4 of the U18 squad making it to the first team. There really was no margin for error but Richie was spurred on by the fact he was living his dream on a daily basis. Sadlier flourished in the underage setup & was one of the few that made it to the first team at Millwall. Anyone that has met Richie knows what a nice, welcoming guy he is & although these are valuable attributes to have as a therapist, they certainly did not sit well with the senior players at the club. They took him under their wing, showed him some tough love on the field & Richie soon adapted to the Millwall way & became a regular in the starting line up. In the space of two years Richie had went from a being a kid without a penny to his name to having enough money to own his own house. He was the only one of his friends to live on his own & his home in England became a drop in centre for any of the native Irish passing through. Sadlier talks about feeling more Irish when abroad, with the Tri-colour & proclamation proudly hanging on the walls of his apartment. The pinnacle of Richie's football career came in the lead up to the 2002 World Cup when Sadlier was called up the the national team, earning his first & only cap for the Republic of Ireland. It was a moment he'd visualised since his teenage years when he'd picked up a blade of grass while on the pitch at the ill fated Ireland V England game in 1995 which was abandoned due to crowd trouble from the English. Richie reflects on the presence Roy Keane had to him as a team mate & Paddy likens it to the influence that Conor had on him as a fighter. Cruelly, a freak hip injury forced Richie to retire from the game at just 24 years of age. Despite trying everything to stay in the game, it was hopeless & Sadlier was force to hang up his boots for good. Putting the ball in the net was the only thing he ever knew & it had been taken away from him at a time when he was tipped for a place in the World Cup squad, along with a move to the Premier League. In the week of his retirement, Richie's cousin had tragically passed away from cystic fibrosis & he talks about the guilt of not being able to find solace in the knowledge that he still had his whole life ahead of him. It was a guilt that forced him to lock away his feelings, denying himself the chance to discuss his inner turmoil. This ties in with Paddy's own experience of retirement, as he likens it to the death of a family member. Up until that point in his life, Richie had always worked towards an objective. As a professional footballer it was, the next goal, the next game, the next win. Becoming an outsider to the dressing room was a knock-out blow for Richie & he was overcome with an emptiness. With no consequences anymore, Sadlier fell off the rails, as drink, drugs & partying became the norm. Without ruining the book, (you're just gonna have to buy it) a realisation moment along with therapy sessions helped Richie on his road to recovery. It is a road that has come full circle for Sadlier as he has since become a fully qualified therapist. As a therapist Richie discusses the importance of developing a connection with his patients. After volunteering, unpaid, for nearly two years, he talks about the transition of charging patients for the first time & why it's essential to know what you're worth, a point reiterated by Paddy. Value what you know, value ability, talent & appreciate that you're worth something to someone. Thankfully Richie is at a happy place in his life, with a tight knit group of friends & family, Sadlier can look back fondly on his footballing career & use his experiences to help others that need it the most. Helping each other, after all, is one of the most important things in life. You can purchase Richie's autobiography ,Recovering in all good bookstores including Eason. By 1525, Zwingli and his beloved Zurich was thoroughly Protestant, and the Reformed Christianity became a major force in Christendom. Cruelly murdered after a lost battle on October 11, 1531, Zwingli's task of reforming the church fell to others. In 1536, that task was taken up in Geneva by the scholarly pastor John Calvin; and by 1560 in Scotland, by the firery preacher John Knox. That history makes Zwingli the world's first Presbyterian. Dr. Byron G. Curtis is professor of Biblical Studies at Geneva College, where he has taught Hebrew language, Old Testament Studies, Christian Theology, and the History of Christianity since 1991. In 2017 he served as the special lecturer for the Luther 500 in seven cities. Huldrych Zwingli is the topic of his forthcoming article in the Reformed Presbyterian Witness, The First Presbyterian was Scottish Swiss.
Host Panti Bliss (aka Rory O'Neill) shares her story of being HIV Positive and how she has become an ambassador for change for Irish Aid in Africa and Asia in this episode which is all about being the change you want to see in the world. "Sometimes you make life happen, and sometimes, life happens to you. Life happened to me, suddenly and unexpectedly, one Friday afternoon, twenty one years ago when my doctor told me I was HIV positive. And twenty one years ago, before the amazing advances in the treatment of HIV that have been made since, it didn’t so much feel like life had happened to me as life had dropped on top of me from a great height, or life had driven a freight train right over me. And for a time I felt battered and bruised by Life. Cruelly singled out and abused by Life. And when I could muster up the energy for it, i was pissed off with Life and it’s petty unfair cruelties. But anger can be exhausting and I’m too lazy for that, so over time I resigned myself to my new three-lettered life partner, and over the years, as treatments improved and we got used to each other, we found a way to rub along together quite comfortably. But though I was resigned to it, comfortable with it, accustomed to it, I didn’t see anything positive in being positive. Like being gay it was just something about me. Something I’d had to deal with, work out, assimilate, but once I had, it simply was. Neither pro nor con. Inert. But that turned out to be not quite true. I have been privileged to do some small work with Irish Aid, part of which has involved visiting HIV projects supported by Irish Aid in countries with very few resources. Not long ago I visited an HIV clinic for mothers and babies in Mozambique, on the outskirts of the capital city Maputo. Conditions were basic. A few small, simple, brick buildings, not much more than sheds really, clustered loosely around a large, dusty, unpaved central yard. And every inch was filled with women and babies. Hundreds of them. A line of mothers, shading their babies from the sun, stretched from each small building and snaked into the yard on sun-bleached benches and simple wooden stools, till the stools ran out and they stood or squatted. There was chatting and cooing over babies but it was quieter than you’d imagine. They’d been here since early morning, many had travelled long distances to get here, and they were stoically resigned to long hours of queuing. And the funny thing is, I didn’t need to ask what they were queuing for, because I recognised each line immediately. Of course I did! Sure hadn’t I’d spent many hours in the very same queues. This line is to see the doctor, this one is for bloods, this one is to get weighed and blood pressure, so this one must be vaccinations, because this one is for meds. At first glance this sun-baked clinic looked nothing like the clinic I go to in Dublin, with it’s tiles and lino and sliding hatches, and yet, it was also completely familiar, instantly recognisable. The same medications, same instruments, same questions. The same leaflets about viral loads and T cells and flu vaccinations, the same vocabulary, the same glossary of medical terms and drug companies and medications, the same pathologically cheerful posters about liver function and bone density and queue that way and please remember your hospital number. There was a young woman sitting on the ground beside me with a bright-eyed baby cradled in her lap. As she glanced up and caught my eye I couldn’t have even guessed what her life was like because I had no frame of reference to hang guesses on. And presumably she had no frame of reference for my life. But I knew this. I sat down beside her and said hello. We had lots to talk about (cont'd)

It’s Episode 64! John and Harry from the Beyond the Box Set podcast join us to review John’s choice Gods Own Country. This 2017 film set in Yorkshire (get it?!) is a modern love story between a young disillusioned, laddish young farm Johnny and Gheorghe, a Romanian migrant hired to help out on the farm during lambing season. Cruelly overshadowed by the success and acclaim of Call Me By Your Name despite the critical acclaim Gods Own Country didn’t have the same reach or audience - this is criminal. Starring the beautiful rolling hills of Yorkshire and wonderful performances from its two stars Josh O’Connor and Alec Secarean Gods Own Country is an earthy, slow burning film about passion, family, things unspoken and intimacy. It’s also a fascinating portrait of modern rural life in England. Scores [supsystic-tables id='66']Unsurprisingly Gods Own Country scores highly across the categories (near perfect in recommendability 5,5,5 and Kobi’s 4.5!). Only let down by repeat viewing and that we wish we’d had the chance to see it on the big screen. Overall a very strong 4.15. Highly recommended. What do you guys think? A barely-known Canadian folk singer wrote this cautionary post-apocalyptic song (her first song) in 1962. In 1967 a somewhat obscure folk rocker rearranged it, wrote an additional verse and sneakily claimed co-authorship-an injustice that often goes unnoticed in the history books. Cruelly, most covers are based on this arrangement. The same year, the leader of a not-yet legendary band more radically rearranged it on his band's debut album, and added a key final line, but knew enough to claim no credit. This episode sorts out the song's meaning, its origins, its various paths and twists and turns and the many cover versions that range from folk to disco to industrial/goth.
