Original broadcast date August 9, 2018. The original podcast post is here: https://pixelatedgeek.com/2018/08/binary-system-podcast-139-wtnv-131-brought-to-you-by-kelloggs/ Welcome to Night Vale returns this week with a beautifully bizarre episode, full of imaginary corn and mythology based on breakfast cereal. After the recap we also talk about Better Call Saul, The Originals, and a plan for Binary System Podcast T-shirts. (Bearing in mind that we never have a plan for anything, ever, so the T-shirts could be as imaginary as the corn.) This week's outro music is a clip from Free like a bird http://freemusicarchive.org/music/Hicham_Chahidi/~/Free_like_a_bird by Hicham Chahidi. That Liquid Television "Grinning Evil Death" episode can be found here. https://youtu.be/u18Lm1BGvnU You can listen to Danny Schmidt's "This Too Shall Pass" on Spotify. https://open.spotify.com/album/4UIutMBjLf6x4jzSxtZhfy (He's got "Standard Deviation" there too, which is very cool, but we really liked This Too Shall Pass.) Correction: (....kinda?...) shaving with peanut butter is apparently a thing. https://www.google.com/search?q=shaving+with+peanut+butter&rlz=1C5MACD_enUS636US636&oq=shaving+with+peanut+butter&aqs=chrome.0.0l4.4377j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 Not that WE'RE going to do it, that's a waste of peanut butter!

As we wrap up Folk Fest 2012, we’re pleased to present a live session with one of this year’s highlights, Martyn Joseph. He dropped by the studio just before the festival to chat and sing some live songs. Also, we look ahead to a couple of very special house concerts that we’re presenting, featuring Shannon Lyon and Joy Kills Sorrow, and we spin some great new music.
