Crédits :Générique : Dr Alban "Sing Hallelujah"Titres écoutés dans l'émission : “Once”, “Even Flow”, “Alive”, “Why Go”, “Black”, “Jeremy”, “Oceans”, “Porch”, “Garden”, “Deep”, “Release”, “Once (démo)”, “Black (remastered 2009°. With a full year of touring finally under their belt, the last three episodes of 2022 will feature a few of the best from each leg. We start off with an interesting one that took place on the west coast leg emanating from Fresno, CA. The band was in a tough spot with Matt Cameron still being sidelined due to Covid, but sometimes unfortunate situations can breed special moments. With Josh Klinghoffer and Richard Stuverud still back behind the kit to help out, they also recruited their original drummer, Dave Krusen, to take the stage for ten (double meaning there) songs for the first time at a Pearl Jam show since 1991. This performance was like comfort food for the old time fan who loved Dave's groove off of Ten from the time they were a teenager. They played nearly every song from the record and gave Dave his moment to shine, something that he always deserved as a founder of the band. Drummer drama isn't the only hurdle they had to jump in Fresno. Ed was dealing with a bout of food poisoning that he claimed to be one of the worst he's had aside from the infamous Polo Grounds show from 1995 where Neil Young replaced him in the set. Most of the songs prove to be a challenge for Ed vocally leading to some clunky performances in the beginning. But there is a certain movie character we compare him to once Krusen steps in and Ed suddenly seems much better. Can you guess who? Question of the week we ask here is what songs do you think that Krusen could have been a good fit on if he had stuck around for later records. The energy from five musicians in one room borders on magic. Whether or not they say a word, the riffs, the beats, and the rhythms carry their conversation around the room. Sons of Silver feed off this sort of face-to-face energy. A tried-and-true rock n' roll band, they plug in and unlock a flood of emotions energized by unbridled guitars, fluid percussion, and a distinct vocal howl. After amassing over 5 million YouTube views and receiving acclaim from Consequence of Sound, American Songwriter, Paste, Substream Magazine, and more, the quintet—Pete Argyropoulos [vocals, guitar], Brina Kabler [keys, vocals], Kevin Haaland [lead guitar], Adam Kury [bass], and Dave Krusen [drums]—conjure this magic on their independent 2022 EP, Ordinary Sex Appeal. Please welcome … Pete Argyropoulos… Kevin Haaland & Adam Kury of SONS OF SILVER to Interviewing the Legends … PURCHASE THE NEW RELEASE ORDINARY SEX APPEAL By SONS OF SILVER The five new songs on the new EP reflect the band's straightforward, no-nonsense rock 'n' roll sensibilities. They start the set with the melodically precise guitar licks and propulsive gallop of “Who's Gonna Stop Us”, followed by “ReEducation” which swaggers and grooves with solid riffs, and a hefty backbeat. “With You” is a moody and emotional ballad showing the band's depth and sensitive side. Next are the hypnotic vibes of “Cause Of My Pain” and they round things off with the arena-ready and snarling “Hesitate”. And DOOMSDAY NOISES BY SONS OF SILVER AT AMAZON.COM In the middle of the Global Pandemic, Sons of Silver unleashed the aptly titled Doomsday Noises to widespread critical acclaim with three out of the five tracks on the EP garnering spots on Billboard Active Rock Chart. Among many highlights, American Songwriter deemed them a “Supergroup,” and Consequence of Sound proclaimed, “The song ‘Deep Division' highlights Argyropoulos' soulful vocals as a post-punk guitar riff powers the verse, leading into a melodic alt-rock chorus.” The track has notably generated over 1.75 million YouTube views on its music video to date. Pearl Jam is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1990. The band's lineup consists of founding members Jeff Ament (bass guitar), Stone Gossard (rhythm guitar), Mike McCready (lead guitar), and Eddie Vedder (lead vocals, guitar), as well as Matt Cameron (drums), who joined in 1998. Keyboardist Boom Gaspar has also been a touring/session member with the band since 2002. Drummers Jack Irons, Dave Krusen, Matt Chamberlain, and Dave Abbruzzese are former members of the band. Pearl Jam outsold many of their contemporaries from the early 1990s, and are considered one of the most influential bands of the decade, being dubbed as "the most popular American rock & roll band of the '90s".Formed after the demise of Gossard and Ament's previous band, Mother Love Bone, Pearl Jam broke into the mainstream with their debut album, Ten, in 1991. Ten stayed on the Billboard 200 chart for nearly five years, and has gone on to become one of the highest-selling rock records ever, going 13× platinum in the United States. Released in 1993, Pearl Jam's second album, Vs., sold over 950,000 copies in its first week of release, setting the record for most copies of an album sold in its first week of release at the time. Their third album, Vitalogy (1994), became the second-fastest-selling CD in history at the time, with more than 877,000 units sold in its first week. On this episode of Analog Smile, Sherry speaks with Peter Argyropoulos with the band Sons of Silver. Put the five members of Los Angeles-based Sons of Silver in a room together and they feed off of a collective face-to-face creative energy. They plug in and unlock a flood of emotions energized by unbridled guitars, fluid percussion, and a distinct vocal howl. In the summer of 2020, the band unleashed the aptly titled Doomsday Noises to widespread critical acclaim. American Songwriter deemed the band a "Supergroup," along with praise from Consequence of Sound and Paste Magazine. The songs from Doomsday Noises have amassed over five million views on YouTube, with three out of the five tracks on the EP garnering spots on Billboard Active Rock Chart. Sons Of Silver—Pete Argyropoulos [vocals, guitar], Brina Kabler [keys, vocals], Kevin Haaland [lead guitar], Adam Kury [bass], and Dave Krusen [drums] continue to project the power between them louder than ever on their Universal Music Group/4L Entertainment 2022 EP, Ordinary Sex Appeal. “Our vision is always to put five people in a space, trade ideas, and let the process be very human,” says Argyropoulos. “It's not manufactured. It's not autotuned. It's not done from separate locations. We capture inspiration in the moment. It's an old-school way of doing things.” We chat about Sons Of Silver, their new EP 'Ordinary Sex Appeal', Greek food, and so much more! Visit their website sonsofsilver.com for more information.
Rob Janicke of Generation Riff once again joins Keith. Together they talk to Chris Shinn about Unified Theory and what he's up to now. To be clear, Unified Theory the band and not the Einstein concept. Unified Theory was Christopher Thorn and Brad Smith from Blind Melon, and Pearl Jam original drummer Dave Krusen (played on Ten) - they partnered with singer/songwriter/guitarist Chris Shinn to unleash two stellar albums that have been egregiously overlooked... some might even say abandoned.
Coming in at No. 3 on Rolling Stones Greatest Grunge albums is the debut record from Pearl Jam, Ten. Joining the program this week, from Pods & Sods, Craig Smith. Craig and Bakko get into all the details of this seminal Grunge classic. Ten is the debut studio album by American rock band Pearl Jam, released on August 27, 1991, through Epic Records. Following the dissolution of their previous band Mother Love Bone in 1990, bassist Jeff Ament and guitarist Stone Gossard began rehearsing with guitarist Mike McCready. The group recorded a five-song instrumental demo tape with Matt Cameron on drums. Copies of the demo were eventually given to drummer Dave Krusen and vocalist Eddie Vedder, both of whom were invited to audition for the band in Seattle. Many of the songs on Ten were instrumental jams or reworked Mother Love Bone songs for which Vedder composed new melodies and lyrics. https://podsodcast.com/ https://pearljam.com
LA-based singer/songwriter Peter Argyropoulos was bored. Getting tired of playing acoustic shows, he called some friends to put together a new rock n' roll outfit. A few of his friends played with some of the biggest bands in the land—Dave Krusen of Pearl Jam on drummers, Adam Kury of Candlebox of bass, just to name a few. Add in guitarists Kevin Haaland and engineer/keyboardist Brina Kabler (also Peter's wife), and you've got yourself one helluva a band. Sons of Silver's newest EP Doomsday Noises is a collection of five blistering songs that chronicle what happens when societies deliberately peddle misinformation, censorship, and vanity. Peter exquisitely details his band's songwriting process and discusses how weird it is to be performing livestream shows with limited audience engagement. Sit back and grab a beer for this one, as this is a wild ride!

AUGUST 28, 2017 - Well kiddies, here you have it! This is the very first edition of our brand new weekly show ROCKWIRED MAGAZINE'S ROCK SHOW. We admit it's not the most inspired title but it gives you an idea of what to expect with this new weekly program. This latest endeavor by ROCKWIRED MAGAZINE is not much of a new endeavor. It's more of a rebranding of our previous podcast series ROCKWIRED RADIO PROFILES. We feel a title like . Since 2010, ROCKWIRED RADIO PROFILES lasted for over 700 editions and featured music and interviews with various active rock artists such as WAYLAND, BOBAFLEX, ADELITA'S WAY, EDGE OF PARADISE, ANOTHER LOST YEAR, SAINT MOTEL, SHALLOW SIDE, BONZ, ADLER, STAR OFF MACHINE, ZEROKING, A.D.D., EMPERORS AND ELEPHANTS, STATION, ELISIUM, RED TIDE RISING, SILVERTUNG, MAXXXWELL CARLISLE, CITY OF THE WEAK, VAJRA, ELISIUM, MILITIA VOX and DIAMOND LANE. Now, ROCKWIRED MAGAZINE has decided to scale back with a weekly podcast that still delivers on the music and exclusive interviews but also seeks to entertain it's audience. Isn't rock n roll all about keeping folks entertained? ROCKWIRED MAGAZINE'S ROCK SHOW is going to be a work in progress. Of course it will be a show about spinning new music from today's leading active rock artists but ROCKWIRED MAGAZINE's Editor-In-Chief BRIAN LUSH promises that there will be some surprises along the way. "Just as we are getting more adventurous with our content in our monthly magazine, we want this new weekly show to be just as exciting." says LUSH. "Given the doubts about rock n roll's prospects these days, we feel it is our duty to make a rock music show that is all about fun and agenda-free. The only agenda here is rock n roll." The new podcast series will be available every Tuesday exclusively at ROCKWIRED.COM and iTUNES. CHECK OUT THE PODCAST AT:http://www.rockwired.com/temporarysite/RockShow1.mp3 TODAY'S PLAYLiST: WAYLAND- THROUGH THE FiREA ROCKWIRED favorite has returned with a brand new single and this time it is preceding the release of a brand new album titled RINSE AND REPEAT. For the past five years, WAYLAND have toured the United States many times over and have put out stand alone singles, but now the band has turned their attention to a long form release - their first since their debut EP WELCOME TO MY HEAD. THROUGH THE FIRE delivers all of the bombast that we've come to expect form these road dogs and has us excited to hear more form their upcoming album. UNCOMMON KNOWLEDGE - THE GREY Being an American Indian-owned publication, we find it important to highlight new music that is coming out of Indian Country and one such band is UNCOMMON KNOWLEDGE, a metal band hailing from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. We happened to catch their electrifying live set at the ALBUQUERQUE CENTER FOR PEACE AND JUSTICE. Not the most rocking venue in the world, but these guys made the space feel like the VIPER ROOM with their hard hitting set. They've managed to take their show on the road beyond the confines of South Dakota and have rocked audiences throughout the American Southwest. DiSTRiCT AVENUE - REViVALHailing from Ontario, DISTRICT AVENUE is a band that has seen some changes in line up but also a change in name and perspective. Formerly known as KICKIN' KROTCH, the band, led by singer MIKE BERNARD, made an impression with their gritty hard rock sound. Now that sound has undergone some refinement thanks to producer VIC BRANCO. It can be heard loud and clear on the band's latest album EPOCH, where the lead single REVIVAL stands out proudly thanks apart to their INDIGENOUS MUSIC AWARD winning video. HEATHER GiLLiS - 100 MPHTwenty-year-olds get a bad rap these days but when you've got a twenty-year-old who boasts a gritty, blues, southern rock sound as HEATHER GILLIS does, we feel it's only fair to give them all of the props that they deserve. Her handiwork on the guitar and lap steel and as a singer was all hard won. This young woman cut her teeth on the road and on the stage with the late BUTCH TRUCKS as a member of his band THE FREIGHT TRAIN. Now with her days of BUTCH TRUCKS' tutelage bhehind her she stands poised to make a name for herself as an artist on her own rockin' terms. SiGNALS OF BEDLAM - MASS APPEAL A New York City-based band boasting on edgy prog rock sound. It's the musicianship that has won us over here at ROCKWIRED MAGAZINE nand their newest album ESCAPING VELOCITY and it's single MASS APPEAL deserve a special kind of recognition. Definitely one of our favorite releases of 2017. KiLLSET - JUMP On the heals of an EP and debut album, the band KILLSET is really hitting it hard with their new release STFU. The album boasts the very hard rock that like to give it up for but there are also some hip hop flourishes. Don't believe us? Just check out their take on the 1992 KRIS KROSS hit JUMP. The video is a fucking hoot. KiTTENHEAD - TUESDAYIt's been a while since we've given it up for punchy, punk rock band and KITTEN HEAD delivers. Not only for their raw rocking songcraft but for their intense live set that lets the audience in on the music. Shouldn't a rock music be this way. ANDREW W. BOSS - iNViNCiBLEWhen a guy says that it was attending a DEFTONES show that set him on his way to music making, I guess we better listen to him. ANDREW W. BOSS proves that he's a "boss" in every sense of the work with his brand new album INVINCIBLE. That man's rap and metal sensibilities proudly shine through. LiViNG COLOUR - COME ONSeven years was way too long to wait for a new release from these guys. LIVING COLOUR proved that their music and artistry were all intact with their 2010 album CHAIR IN THE DOORWAY and now they' prove that the influence of the blues still has a place in the world on their forthcoming album SHADE. Don't think for a minute that these guys have turned the volume down here. Their interpretation of the blues is as loud and rockin' as anything that we've come to expect from these legends. LULLWATER - RELEASEHailing from Georgia, LULLWATER is a band that has taken it's musical queues from the music that was coming out of Seattle during the late eighties and early nineties. It should be no surprise that their new EP is a live album recorded in the same studio that PEARL JAM recorded out of. It's also less of surprise that the band has re-recorded PEARL JAM's RELEASE using original PEARL JAM drummer DAVE KRUSEN. OWL COMPANY - CELEBRATE AND KNEELThanks to the band's victory in ROCKWIRED's ARTIST OF THE MONTH contest, we've been introduced to folks in South American. These Sao Paulo-based rockers are on the verge of making their presence known in the States with what promises to be an electrifying tour and a raw, uncompromising debut album HORIZON. REMADA - A BETTER TOMORROWThe Chicago-based rock band has been through an insane amount of changes form being a solo hip-hop artist to an full on rock band. Their newest album seals the band's fate as an electrifying hard rock act destined for greatness and the kind of positive message that will elevate their material above the standard rock fare.
