Begin in Tomorrowland, strolling past the iconic Matterhorn. Wander through the always enchanting Fantasyland and immerse yourself in the whimsical Fantasy Faire area music. Continue your leisurely exploration through Frontierland, culminating in a visit to the futuristic Galaxy's Edge. As you rest on the first floor of the yet to be reopened Hungry Bear Jamboree, listen to the nostalgic melodies of a forgotten area loop. In the distance, hear the rhythmic chug of the Mark Twain riverboat drifting by.Then wander through Critter Counter just weeks before its transformation to Bayou Country. The loading station and familiar sounds of Tigger dominate the soundtrack. Let's now hop over to New Orleans Square where the eerie music box sounds echo from Haunted Mansion Holiday and the engines from the rafts for Tom Sawyer's Island hum in the background. It's time to hang around the Rivers of America to take in some jazz before heading into Frontierland for some time on a bench. Then bare with some stroller sounds before taking a reprieve at the Tiki Room lanai for a moment.Afterward, head down Main Street before exiting for the evening. casually walk past Matterhorn, Fantasyland, meander in Fantasy Faire before heading through Frontierland and into Galaxy's Edge. Let the battle commence! Nothing enhances an action movie quite like two classic characters battling it out! Jay and Shua examine the elegant grace of 'vs' movies! VS movies! It's like standing in the hallway watching two other kids fighting it out and you're not the one getting in trouble. Hollywood discovered years ago that audiences wondered what it would be like if some of their favorite characters duked it out. Let's find out! News The cookie makers, Crumbl is making a cereal. You can get your fix at Costco Michael J Fox plays guitar with Coldplay at Glastonbury Festival concert in England Haven't you always wanted to visit the world's largest potato masher? Now you can! Star Wars Galaxy's Edge has some cool 5th anniversary merchandise available at Disney World The new Time Bandits trailer has been released Check out our TeePublic store for some enjoyable swag and all the latest fashion trends What we're Enjoying After writing about Serenity for Sci-Fi Saturdays, Jay couldn't help going back to check out the 2002 series Firefly. It was such a great idea for a new universe. While we wish we could have gotten more episodes, we are grateful for the ones we have. Shua watched the new Ron Howard documentary about an entertainment icon. Jim Henson: Idea Man laid out the interesting and sometimes disjointed life of the main behind the Muppets. It's a very enlightening watch. Sci-Fi Saturdays This week on Sci-Fi Saturdays Jay breaks down the groundbreaking and almost experimental 2006 film A Scanner Darkly. It's an animated film starring Keanu Reeves, Robert Downey Jr. and several other well-known Hollywood elite. Based on a 1977 novel by Philip K. Dick, it takes place in a dystopian future but has some important messages for us today. Check out the breakdown now. Make sure to play around with the interactive map on MCULocationScout.com. There are some new locations from Deadpool 1 and 2 in preparation for the new movie. Plus, you can tune in to SHIELD: Case Files where Jay and Shua talk about great stuff in the MCU. Enjoy Movies! In the 1940s, Hollywood had found a strong audience for monster movies. Dracula, Frankenstein, and many more. We also craved our sci-fi attacks. But what if we started pitting some of those creatures against each other? It's like the classic boxing matches that everyone got excited for. When Godzilla arrived on screen, it didn't take long to see how the battles could be even bigger! (pun intended) Those ‘vs' movies started with him battling another behemoth star named King Kong. The pandora's box of ‘vs' ideas had been open and now creators were matching all kinds of characters so that now we have a whole slew of exciting flicks. Jay and Shua generate a random list of characters and try to decide who would win if they made a movie with them. What vs movies do you like? Which characters would you like to see go toe-to-toe? First person that emails me with the subject line, “In this corner…” will get a special mention on the show. Let us know. This is Pete Fletzer and welcome to Disturbances in the Force. www.ATGcast.comPatreon.com/ATGcast@ATGcastYouTube.com/ATGcast(c) 2022 Pete in the Seat StudionsSo Let's get to it. 1. D23, the annual Disney Fan Expo, will take place later this year at the Anaheim Convention Center – the same location as Star Wars Celebration a few weeks ago. The event features experiences, exclusive merch and inside looks at all things Disney – which of course includes the Star Wars franchise. On Saturday September 10th, D23 will feature a panel that includes both Marvel and Lucasfilm. The official announcement states QUOTE “Filmmakers, celebrity talent, and surprise guests will join representatives from Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm, among others, onstage to showcase theatrical and Disney+ titles. Going behind the scenes of these studios' highly anticipated films, specials, and series, attendees will see exclusive footage and be among the first to learn what else is in the works.” While there is no specific mention of what will be shown, D23 has, in the past, been the place where projects such as the Obi-Wan Kenobi series have been announced. D23 takes place September 9th through the 11th2. YouTube channel DisInsider dropped some rumored news this week regarding the upcoming Disney plus Star Wars series Acolyte. Derek Cornell of the site claims that some Star Wars Legends characters could be introduced into live action on the Leslye Hedland helmed show. He claims that Darth Bane, Malak, Revan and Nihilus could make an appearance in the yet to shot series. He also claimed that the DisneyLand and DisneyWorld Galaxy's Edge Location – the Planet Batuu – could be making an appearance in an upcoming show as well. He speculated it could be the newly announced Skeleton Crew or the Ahsoka series. There are no official Lucasfilm statements on any of these rumors at this time.3. The cast of the Mandalorian spoke to Entertainment Tonight this week and they gave some indication that the third season of the show will be expanding the universe as well as taking on a more dramatic tone. Carl Weathers, who plays Greef Karga and is also directing an episode in season 3, said “it has a lot more heft, it's so dense but full of character. [The new episodes] had a lot more opportunity for depth. Each of these characters has so much story within their own personal story. As an audience, you get to see just little glimmers of things that we didn't realize about them.” Katee Sackoff, aka Bo Katan said, ““She's not done. [Bo-Katan refusing the darksaber] makes us question, it makes her question, ‘What's different? Why not now?' And that's important. She's still on that journey, you know, from the first time that we met her when she was very young and impressionable. And she's been continuing to evolve and grow and figure out who she is.” You can find the full article on ET.com. The Mandalorian Season 3 drops in February 2023.4. The marketing campaign for the Obi-Wan Kenobi show continued this week with another edition of Obi-Wan Wednesdays. Each week from now through June 29, Star Wars dot com will feature new products inspired by the DisneyPlus series. This week, they unveiled a funko pop of Tala Durith, the Imperial officer turned Jedi trafficker. Hasbro dropped 5 new Retro series 3 point 7 5 inch action figures designed to capture the style of the original 70s and 80s toys. They include Obi-Wan, the droid Ned B, the Grand Inquisitor, Darth Vader and the Fifth brother. Lego ALSO unveiled a new playset that recreates the duel between Vader and Obi-Wan on Mapuzo from Part 3 of the series. It includes minifigs of Kenobi, Vader, Ned B and Tala. Finally, a plush version of Leia's droid companion, LO-LA is available for pre-order by Mattel. Visit ObiWanWednesdays.com for these items and previous merchandise that is now available.5. Obi-Wan Kenobi series writer Joby Harold spoke to the Hollywood Reporter earlier this week and he shared some insight to Moses Ingram's character, the third sister, aka Reva. He told THR QUOTE: “I love that Reva is this mystery box, so I try to speak to her as little as possible, and I'm going to keep it that way. But the notion of having a character that we don't know on a legacy show where we do know everything and everybody is part of the fun of the show. So the less said about her, the better, considering there are very few people and places where you don't know what's happening.” Part 5 of Obi-Wan Kenobi drops Wednesday, June 15 on Disney plus Thanks for listening and may the force be with you! https://www.etonline.com/the-mandalorian-cast-teases-dark-and-even-better-season-3-coming-in-2023-exclusive-185232

On this week's show, Disneyland pros, David and Ronn dive into several sizzling Disney topics. The Galactic Starcruiser Takes Off! Where Disney nailed this experience? Where did they fail completely - or did they? Is it a "Murder Mystery Dinner?" Is it a complex 48-hour Escape Room? Is it a Disney Cruise? Is it a Live-Action "Choose Your Own Adventure?" Is it ALL of them?! What does the timeline mean for the future of Galaxy's Edge? Has Darth Vader's fate just been permanently sealed!?! Has Disney just changed the game and introduced the most technologically advanced, cutting edge, immersive experience ever created? How sustainable is this Disney triumph - can't even book all 100 rooms within the year OR so triumphant another Galactic Starcruiser comes to Disneyland? What are some of the tricks we do at the Parks with children? What are some of our favorite moments with our children at the Parks? What is your favorite thing to watch on Disney Plus? What celebrity would you like to play guide for at Disneyland? Would you rather have Captain EO or Country Bear Jamboree return to Disneyland? Plus, we remember, celebrate, and honor The Indiana Jones Adventure - Temple of the Forbidden Eye, Chip ‘n' Dale Rescue Rangers, Disney Legends Harper Goff and Art Babbitt, and Alice's Day at Sea in this week in Disney history. All this and the big reveal of our Top 5 Disney People we would Invite to Our Dinner Party, and more!
