Meet Bob Burg who's the co-author of The Go Giver book and is a sought out speaker. Bob exhibits a lot of qualities that my other guests have, which is they openly share information without asking for as much in return. All of those podcast guests all seem to share similar stories especially the SEO pros which is the more they share, the more their business and demand grows. On reflecting on the discussion I had with Bob, there are 2 other people I think about and I want to share how the 3 of these people connect in my mind. Tom Hunt of fame.so is constantly giving advice away on LinkedIn that also includes how to make a better podcast and the value you'll get by podcasting. Podcasting is a platform where you have to share value and create content. Carrie Rose of Rise at Seven, whom I've never met by the way, I've heard her share SEO stories where she would put herself in her client's shoes when solving their SEO problems. Not many SEO consultants do this and I think this is one reason why Rise at Seven has become some a prominent SEO agency. Bob Burg simply lives and breathes his philosophy. For those that are lucky enough to understand and believe what Bob teaches, this could be the most valuable takeaway anybody could get especially in affiliate marketing. It makes me realize that some of the best affiliate marketers focus on their users more. They just try to give more value as a means of the reason for their site to exist.
Expanding your capacity & the perceived value of your offers (or brand as a whole) by deeply valuing yourself. You don't have to give parts of yourself to GIVE VALUE in your business.
The common mistake that people go through when launching is to over-deliver.They get really excited and want to give value. So they give their audience everything that they got. They overwhelm their audience with so much information that they are probably not ready to make that buying decision. They'll say: “You gave me so much to think about. I'm gonna work on this first before they go into your paid offer.”So, deliver value to your audience and focus on what things they need to be aware of that's gonna help them with solving their problem. But save the “How” to solve that problem for the paid offer.Give your audience a great launch experience, but not give away everything. Building a thriving recruitment business in the middle of a global pandemic may be unimaginable to most people, but not for Kyle Winterbottom. Kyle's strategy is clear and straightforward: give value, give value, give value! In this episode, Kyle uncovers the story of his journey into the recruitment industry and how the global crisis turned into a pathway of opportunity. Kyle is the Founder & CEO of Orbition Group, an award-winning talent solutions business. Based in Manchester, they focus exclusively on scaling Data, Analytics, and artificial intelligence teams across the UK, Europe, and the USA. Kyle is also the Founder/Host of the Driven by Data Community which is comprised of three components; The Roundtable, The Podcast, and The Mentorship. Kyle elaborated on his three proven long-term strategies for boosting engagement and building relationships Episode Outline and Highlights [02:02] Launching a recruitment business during the height of the pandemic. [06:11] Community building and visibility to build brand awareness. [10:23] Giving value through podcasting - should you start your own podcast? [17:02] Establishing commercial relationships. [24:26] How hosting live events can scale your business by demand. [34:43] Kyle talks about their Mentorship Programme and why it is the best long-term strategy. [41:57] Growing by demand vs. growing by design. [46:10] Revisiting business development strategies. Give Value, Give Value, Give Value. The pandemic can be perceived by many as not the best time to launch a business, but Kyle looked at it as the best time to kick off Orbition. His strategy is clear and straightforward: leverage content marketing and community building to build brand awareness. Give value first, and build relationships after. “I guess that the whole premise was very simple. Just create a community of people who will ultimately be potential target customers and buying clients. Let's add a load of value to them and from there that'll create relationships. That then I guess the whole premise really is give value, give value, give value.” Kyle elaborated on his strategies and you will find that there are three main takeaways: Content marketing and adding value to your ecosystem can lead to a snowball effect, where people will want to participate in your engagement activities. Prioritizing value adding to your market will generate not only visibility. It will position you as an expert and thought leader which gives you authority. It builds the best type of relationship - as your audience appreciates your contributions, you build a relationship that goes beyond the customer-vendor type. Kyle shared his practices on how they continuously add value: via podcasting, live events, and mentorship programs. Podcasting and Hosting Events I was astonished when Kyle shared with me that 100% of their clients are through inbound marketing. I really wanted to pick his brains on their roadmap and the strategies they use. He shared that podcasting has been a really effective tool in engaging with their target audience. One of the reasons that it is really successful is because it invited guests who they find credible, people of influence and seniority within the marketplace who have something to share. Kyle also reminded the listeners that it can take time to really get engagement and ROI - so it is really important to be patient and consistent. After the pandemic, Kyle and his team started hosting free live events. These events started to garner more demand than they could facilitate, so they had to find the right balance of content and format in order to scale these events. They get very positive feedback from those who participate in these live events. Kyle and his team are able to bring together Chief Data Officers to share best practices while networking with one another. Aside from the above engagement components, Kyle also discussed their mentorship program. Deep Diving Into Their Mentorship Program “The mentorship program came from a place where I'm continually looking at what is the next thing that we can do for this community that adds value and how can we do something that also strategically aids the direction of the business” Kyle shared what their mentorship program looks like and how it helps those starting their career in data analytics improve in technical and soft skills. Kyle also revealed that this is not something they are monetizing at the moment. He shared why: “It's more about the brand visibility and having that relationship, because I think for us, in all honesty, what we can earn from you know, charging for a mentorship program will be really insignificant in comparison to what we can earn off having that relationship with those people and obviously, what you know we're again think about the long game. “ This is indeed a wonderful approach to engagement and adding value to the community. If you think about it, the 300+ people joining their mentorship program become their brand ambassadors. Knowing that someday those who were mentored will eventually become decision makers and hiring managers, they will be future clients. First and foremost, giving value in what you do is essential for building a positive reputation and establishing yourself as a reliable and competent DJ. If you consistently deliver high-quality performances that engage and excite your audience, you'll be more likely to be hired again in the future and recommended to others. Moreover, providing value goes beyond just delivering a good performance. It also involves understanding the needs and preferences of your audience and tailoring your music selection and style accordingly. This can mean taking the time to research the demographics of the crowd you'll be playing for and preparing accordingly.Additionally, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the industry can also be seen as adding value. For example, investing in high-quality equipment and incorporating new techniques or genres into your sets can help you stand out from the competition and keep your audience engaged.Overall, giving value in what you do as a DJ is critical for building a successful career and providing a memorable experience for your audience.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/we-create-the-vibes-podcast/exclusive-contentAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Can I get a WOOHOO!? *Pops Champagne* While I'm not drinking on today's episode, I am certainly celebrating. We have reached 10 years in business at Crystal Media!! I am so proud and honored to reach this milestone along with my team. In honor of this exciting milestone, I am sharing my top ten tips and lessons learned in my last 10 years of business.Tip 1: MentorshipI wouldn't be where I am today without a mentor. In episode 4 I talk about mentorship and my personal mentor, Patricia Norins. I recommend a 1 on 1 mentor for sure as well as taking advantage of support from Masterminds!Tip 2: List BuildingI'm still working on this, even 10 years in! Use creative ways to build your email list. Email marketing is one of the top sales generators for Crystal Media, and I think we could be a lot more strategic in building the list.Tip 3: “Happy to Help”This has been the Crystal Media motto from the very beginning! This is a no-BS slogan, I genuinely mean it. People recognize it, they're grateful, they give you their trust, and they become lifelong customers.Tip 4: Give ValueOver the last 10 years, I've focused on over-delivering. I give away free info and high-value information during speaking events because it's more important to me to REALLY help someone even if I don't make a sale right then… because those clients will remember me and my content when they need me.Tip 5: Find Like-Minded PartnersWhen you find partners that are at the same level as you and with the same expectations, you have an audience that is primed and ready to receive you! Big shout out to one of our partners, WhizBang! Training, who has been a huge asset for growing our speaking events and so fun to work with!Stay tuned for next week, where I pick up with part 2 and my last 5 tips of lessons learned during the last 10 years in business! What's Inside:Celebrating 10 Years in Business with Crystal Media.Top 10 Lessons Learned in Business. Why you need a mentor to excel in business. The importance of strategic list building. Why being a genuine helper is a great tool in business relationships. Can you be more successful when you provide high-value content for free? The advantage of like-minded partnerships.Mentioned In This Episode:Episode 34: The Burtech Family VineyardEpisode 4: 3 Entrepreneur Lessons for Next Level Business GrowthWhizBang! Today, let's talk about leverage! Sterling Chapman is a father, husband, regional sales director, real estate investor, and podcast host of “The Rent Roll Radio Show”. From the middle of 2018 when he bought his first rental through the end of 2019, Sterling had managed 26 rental units. But once he mustered up the courage to turn it over to property management, his number of units quadrupled in just six months! It freed up so much of his bandwidth so he could keep building and growing. Sterling started his real estate journey doing single-family business, flipping houses, and BRRRRing for rentals. Since then, Sterling syndicated to apartment complexes, managing 70 residential units, flipping 14 houses, and doing two syndications. On this episode, Jacob talks with one of the truly great marketers out there, Andrea Palten. They talk about being good in business, building an email list, marketing during a pandemic, data and privacy, and more. Again, Be Good in BusinessDon't ghost people. Communicate! Create a trustworthy brand. We're all humans. Your clients will understand. Just communicate with them. Tell the truth.Building an email listThe bigger your list, the bigger your income. When someone gives you their email address, they are telling you that they trust you. You own your email list. Not the people, but the list. You don't own social media channels, but you do own your email list. Email marketing is a great way to keep yourself top-of-mind.Create a weekly big piece of content. This could be a blog post, podcast, YouTube video…You can then repurpose that piece of content in your email list each week. When you're consistent, people will trust that you're always there and that you aren't going away. Create a lead magnet - a free piece of content that requires that people give you their email address. Don't Spam or Ghost! There are two extremes. Sometimes, you sign up for an email list and get WAY too many emails. Other times, you sign up and never get an email. Then out of the blue you get a sales email. Don't do either! There's a happy medium here. Send emails at least every two weeks. Weekly is the best. Some unsubscribing is okay. Shoot for an unsubscribe rate of 2% or less. GIVE VALUE. Give 4 times before you get. Send 4 emails giving tips and ideas and then 1 email selling your product or service. How has marketing changed during the pandemic?Andrea is moving to more storytelling in her email marketing. Consumer behavior is changing. People are more interested in brands and want to connect with the people and businesses they work with. We are more lonely than ever. We've all been burned with politics and social issues. Be real. Show up as you. Be authentic. Data and PrivacyMake sure you have a privacy policy on your website. Make sure you have terms and conditions and disclaimers. Be transparent in the way that you use customer data. Only collect the data that you actually need. Pay attention to laws like GDPR. Stay on top of the news and be aware of what's happening. Show upShow up on social media and in your newsletterBe real and authentic. Respond quickly when people reach out. Give a lot of grace and patience. We all need it. The world needs you. What you know as a healthcare provider should not stay within the four walls of your treatment room. Your patients need to hear the facts, not baseless opinions. But they will never get to hear them unless you find the courage to go out there and let your voice be heard. Dr. Ken Berry is a sensational YouTuber and a family physician who's turned to YouTube and earned 1.2 Million subscribers for simply sharing his passion and his knowledge to the world. He believes you, too, can make a difference in the world. You can add value to the lives of other people if you choose to believe in yourself, in your passion, and the knowledge you have built through years of learning and experience. “If you don't start a Youtube channel and share your value with the people, then you're basically withholding value from the world.” -Dr. Ken Berry In this Episode: “What if you could help 3500 people a day, wouldn't that be awesome?” What patients actually want to hear and how exactly they would like to hear it from you The two equally important jobs of a healthcare practitioner, and how these jobs can provide VALUE to the world What attracts people to want more of what you have to offer and keep them glued to your videos The thoughts healthcare providers SHOULD NOT be thinking when they post videos on Youtube Episode Resources: https://www.amazon.com/Lies-My-Doctor-Told-Me/dp/0999090518 (Lies My Doctor Told Me: Medical Myths That Can Harm Your Health by Dr. Ken Berry) http://healthcarebusinesssecrets.com/insider (Healthcare Business Secrets: Free Group) Connect with Dr. Ken Berry: https://www.facebook.com/kendberry.md/ (Facebook) https://www.instagram.com/kendberry.md/?hl=en (Instagram) https://drberry.com/ (Website) https://www.youtube.com/user/KenDBerry (Youtube) https://twitter.com/KenDBerryMD?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor (Twitter) Connect with James Neilson-Watt: https://www.facebook.com/healthcarepracticemastery/ (Facebook) https://instagram.com/jamesneilsonwatt?igshid=rgepu995d6ll (Instagram) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpXTh0-w1U1pt8cvx75Z0Hg (Youtube) https://www.healthcarebusinesssecrets.com/ (Website )
