Molybdenum is considered a trace mineral. This means your body only needs small amounts. But just because you don't need much, it doesn't mean it's not important. So let's take a closer look at the essential functions of molybdenum. We'll then discuss how gluten can cause a deficiency and symptoms to look out for as well as the best foods to eat to prevent a molybdenum deficiency.Molybdenum is a cofactor for several vital enzymes in your body. This means that these enzymes need molybdenum to carry out the biological reactions they're responsible for. In other words, without molybdenum, these reactions wouldn't occur. On the next DOZ, we will take a deep dive into this trace mineral that helps metabolize sulfites and has various other functions in the body!Autoimmune Healing Masterclass:  https://youtu.be/PpZhLQXp__gGluten Sensitive?  Take the quiz & Join Our Community ▶https://www.glutenfreesociety.org/gluten-sensitivity-intolerance-self-test/Get my quick start guide on going gluten free: https://www.glutenfreesociety.org/how-to-go-gluten-free/Nutritional Crash Courses Playlist: https://www.glutenfreesociety.org/nutritionGet Gluten Free Supplements: https://www.glutenfreesociety.org/shop-home/No Grain No Pain the Book: https://www.glutenfreesociety.org/NoGrainNoPainGlutenology Masterclass (Ultimate Guide): https://glutenology.net/registrationTo connect with Dr. Osborne visit:On the web: https://drpeterosborne.com/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DoctorPeterOsborne/Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/docosborne/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/drosborneTwitter: https://twitter.com/glutenologyRumble: https://rumble.com/c/c-3908832Podcast:Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/dr-osbornes-zone/id1706389688?uo=4Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4Zdf07GgpRAVwlSsYvirXTAmazon Music/Audible: https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/20d71b2e-3554-4569-9d5b-4259785cdc94Google Podcasts: https://www.google.com/podcasts?feed=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuc3ByZWFrZXIuY29tL3Nob3cvNTkwNjcwNC9lcGlzb2Rlcy9mZWVkiHeart Radio: https://iheart.com/podcast/119388846*These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. C3 Metals CEO Dan Symons joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce highly promising results from a grid-based soil sampling campaign at the company's Khaleesi Copper-Gold Project in Southern Peru. This campaign builds upon previous mapping and rock sampling, which identified a 1,500m by 1,000m alteration footprint containing skarn, porphyry, and epithermal-style copper-gold mineralization. A comprehensive 50m-spaced grid soil sampling program has now defined a significant copper-molybdenum anomaly extending for over 1,900 meters, with widths reaching 650 meters. Within this anomaly, two key zones were identified, averaging 950ppm and 650ppm copper—far exceeding the 300ppm threshold typically considered anomalous for copper in soils. Symons noted that preliminary geophysical data, coming in real-time, indicates the presence of a large, subsurface anomaly beneath the glacial till zone. To further investigate this potential deposit, the company has initiated a series of advanced geophysical surveys, including Ground Magnetic, Induced Polarization (IP), and Magnetotellurics (MT), which are expected to be completed by March 2025. Khaleesi is strategically located just 8km west of C3 Metals' Jasperoide Project, where the company previously confirmed 13 skarn prospects along a 28km iron-skarn belt. With this latest discovery, C3 Metals is poised to advance its exploration efforts in one of Peru's most prospective copper-gold districts, positioning itself for potential resource expansion and future drilling campaigns. #proactiveinvestors #c3metalsinc #tsxv #cccm #otcqb #cuauf #CopperExploration #MiningNews #PeruMining #Geophysics #CopperStocks #Investing #JuniorMining #MiningInvesting #ResourceExploration

Condor Resources CEO Chris Buncic joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce the company's evaluation of historical technical data from its Rio Bravo project in Peru, previously owned by a major international mining company. The data includes 11 drill holes from 2012, totaling 5,729 meters, along with drill logs, assay results, core photographs, and extensive technical studies such as soil geochemistry, ground geophysics, magnetometry, radiometry, and induced polarization, covering 20 km² of detailed geological mapping. Buncic revealed that the combined analysis of this historical data and Condor's surface exploration indicates the potential for a significant new deposit with high-grade copper and molybdenum. These minerals are predominantly found in primary sulfides, starting from surface and extending below an observed leached cap. Historical drilling targeted the contact zone between geological assemblages, but the porphyry-type mineralizing system remains open in all directions, suggesting further potential. Importantly, the main Cu-Mo core target in the NW sector remains largely untested, as prior drilling focused on peripheral zones. Based on a comprehensive data review, Condor's exploration team believes that drilling the untouched core of the intrusive porphyry system could uncover substantial resources, positioning Rio Bravo as a key asset in the company's portfolio. #proactiveinvestors #condorresourcesinc #tsxv #cn #MiningUpdate #PucamayoProject #MiningNews #Copper #Molybdenum #RioBravo #PeruMining #MiningInvestment #DrillingResults #NaturalResources #InvestorUpdates

Toxic metals can deplete zinc levels in the body. Mineral balancing is important for maintaining emotional stability and discernment in the face of external influences. The depletion of zinc in the soil has led to widespread zinc deficiency in the population. Astrological shifts can have an impact on mineral balance and overall health. There may be a connection between detoxification and the release of dark energy or entities. Ancient texts and history have been manipulated, and there is a hidden agenda controlled by a Luciferian Satanist group. Copper and magnesium play crucial roles in the body, and imbalances can lead to various health issues. Calcium modulation is important to prevent deposition diseases and maintain overall health. Energy-based medicine, such as homeopathy, can be a powerful tool in supporting mineral balancing and overall well-being. Torr Metals CEO Malcolm Dorsey joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce a significant expansion of the Kolos Copper-Gold Project. Through strategic staking, Torr Metals has increased the project area by 75%, growing from approximately 140 km² to 240 km². This expansion focuses on the northern area of the project, following the extension of the north-trending Fanta Fault. This fault has been identified by the company as a major structural control on copper and gold mineralization in the region. Dorsey also shared that, in conjunction with the project expansion, the company has mobilized a field team in preparation for the upcoming 2024 field season. The team will conduct early reconnaissance at multiple newly identified exploration targets, including a newly discovered mineralized outcrop in the Vik Zone. This proactive approach aims to identify and assess the potential of these targets to expand the resource base and enhance the project's overall value. The Vik Zone outcrop is the first new mineralized rock exposure identified and sampled by Torr Metals within an area that had been recognized as a potential source for anomalous historical silt samples. A rock grab sample taken in 2023 from this outcrop yielded 379 parts per million (ppm) copper (Cu) and 238 ppm molybdenum (Mo). This outcrop is located near a high resistivity ZTEM anomaly, which is interpreted as a potential source intrusion for the mineralization. This anomaly will be one of the key exploration targets for early reconnaissance in 2024. Dorsey emphasized the importance of these new findings, stating that the expansion and identification of new targets significantly enhance the potential of the Kolos Copper-Gold Project. The company's focus on systematic exploration and early-stage reconnaissance aims to uncover additional high-value mineral resources, contributing to the project's growth and development. Looking ahead, Torr Metals is committed to advancing the Kolos Copper-Gold Project through a combination of strategic expansion, rigorous exploration, and efficient resource development. The upcoming 2024 field season will play a crucial role in assessing the newly identified targets and further delineating the mineral potential of the expanded project area. . #proactiveinvestors #torrmetalsinc #tsxv #tmet #mining #gold #silver #CopperGoldProject, #MineralExploration, #Geophysics, #FieldSeason2024, #MiningIndustry, #ProjectExpansion, #ExplorationModel, #NewTargets, #VixenTarget, #BigStoneTarget, #AnomalousCopper, #Molybdenum, #SoilAnomaly, #RealmAnomaly, #Prospecting, #RockSampling, #Mapping, #GrassrootsDiscoveries#invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

Multi-element anomalism coincident with geophysical targets supports the concept of a new Mineral System Province at the Highway Project in South Australia. ASX Release – 22nd May 2024   Highlights Multi-element anomalism coincident with geophysical targets indicate potential for different styles of mineralisation including epithermal gold, molybdenum porphyry and Iron-Oxide-Copper-Gold (IOCG).   Taiton Resources Limited (“T88”, “Taiton” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce that all samples from the recently completed UltraFine (UF) soil sampling program in March have now been returned. The completed soil program was undertaken across three prospects; Garfield, Pluto and Snoopy, at the Highway project (Figure 1). The program consisted of a total of 1,197 samples (ex QAQC samples) and was Taiton's first pass field-based assessment of selected prospects identified primarily from geophysical datasets. A recent litho-structural interpretation of the Highway project highlighted the potential for multiple mineralisation styles derived from intrusive activity. These mineralisation styles include epithermal gold, molybdenum porphyry, and Iron-Oxide-Copper-Gold (IOCGs).   Figure 1. Location of prospects within Highway Project. The UF program was successful in identifying multi-element anomalism across the three prospects and provide further support for the various mineralisation styles Taiton is pursuing within the Highway project. Due to the early stage of exploration Taiton is not limiting its search to one mineralisation style.

If you hit .300 in baseball Hall Of Fame If you shot 50% basketball You're an icon If you go 47-47 in drilling You're Green River Gold As Gold holds firm at $2,000 and the electric vehicle revolution propels demand for battery metals, the resource industry is undergoing a significant transformation. With EVs projected to reach a staggering $7 trillion market by 2030, small-cap resource companies are thriving. However, this success presents investors with a challenging decision: Should they focus on the allure of Gold or seize the opportunities in the burgeoning battery metals sector? Green River Gold is a small cap resources company that offers investors both thanks to assembling a powerhouse set of projects in BC that include:  Quesnel Nickel/Magnesium/Talc Project  Fontaine Gold Project  Kymar Silver Project  KaLi Lithium Pegmatite Project  What they have in common is being in some of British Columbia's most highly prospective mining districts. All 47 Nickel Holes Successfully Hit A remarkable standout is the Quesnel Nickel Project, where Green River Gold has achieved a flawless record of success in all 47 holes drilled so far. This remarkable accomplishment underscores the immense potential of the project. The momentum grows stronger with every hole drilled. Green River Gold's Quesnel Nickel Project boasts the extensive Deep Purple magnetic anomaly, spanning about 14 linear km and encompassing roughly 6.6 sq km, indicating substantial mineral promise. Currently on their 47th consecutive hole, they consistently encounter nickel, magnesium, cobalt, and chromium from the bedrock surface. Drilling covers approximately 9 km of the anomaly's 14 km length, with exploration opportunities extending to the far North-West and South-East ends." Kyle Townsend, the Mine Manager for Green River Gold Corp says, "As we continue our step out drilling on Zone 1, with drill holes WK-23-01 and WK-23-02 drilled 1.1 kilometers apart, the consistent assay results highlight the continuity of mineralization at the Quesnel Nickel Project. These findings further validate the potential for a significant and continuous mineral resource in the project area." Green River Gold has successfully completed its inaugural field reconnaissance program at the KaLi Pegmatite Property. Located in the Kamloops Mining District, British Columbia, this 100%-owned property yielded promising results as pathfinder elements were identified through handheld XRF analysis. The program, conducted between August 10 and August 14, 2023, aimed to evaluate the potential for Lithium-Cesium-Tantalum-bearing pegmatites, copper, and molybdenum porphyry systems. Covering 1059.5 hectares of land, the KaLi Pegmatite Project holds significant historical exploration data. The focus has historically been on Molybdenum, but the current findings underscore the potential for Lithium Bearing Pegmatites, a previously unexplored avenue.   Green River Gold Corp. has initiated substantial geological work on its Fontaine Gold Property in Central British Columbia. Covering over 200 square kilometers, it straddles significant terranes, with neighboring mineral claim groups owned by Osisko Development Corp. and Omineca Mining and Metals Ltd. The company is revisiting the Galleon area, a part of the Barkerville Terrane, with promising lead, silver, and gold assays from initial grab samples. Furthermore, Green River Gold has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of the Midnight Special Project, a 244.25-hectare area northwest of Lillooet. This strategic move underlines the company's dedication to exploration and expansion.   Now, sit back, relax, and listen to the interview with Perry Little to learn more about Green River Gold's strategic positioning in multiple mining districts and their exploration efforts across a range of commodities. Green River Gold $CCR offers investors diversified exposure to the mining sector and the chance to be part of an exciting journey.

Torq Resources drilled 557m of .38 g/t Gold, .23% Copper and 56ppm Molybdenum at its Santa Cecilia project in Chile. The project is characterized by both gold epithermal and gold–copper porphyry styles of mineralization and demonstrates geological similarities to multi-million-ounce deposits in the region, such as La Coipa, Cerro Maricunga and the immediately adjacent Caspiche and Cerro Casale gold – copper porphyry deposits, held by Newmont and Barrick. Shawn Wallace, CEO and Chair, stated: “We are extremely pleased with the results from our first two drill holes at Santa Cecilia, which not only intersected mineralization, but higher-grade mineralization than what was drilled historically. We've had high expectations for this project since first seeking to acquire it, and now, in our inaugural drill program, it is already proving its potential to become a world-class gold-copper asset. We look forward to resuming drilling at the project following Chile's winter season, when we will seek to continue to expand the discovery of mineralization at the Cerro del Medio target as well as drill test our high potential copper porphyry targets on the eastern side of the project, nearest to Newmont and Barrick's Caspiche deposit.” Michael Henrichsen, Chief Geological Officer, stated: “Santa Cecilia is a rare project that continues to improve technically as our exploration work advances. To have significantly improved the grade in the first two drill holes demonstrates that we have clear vectors moving us toward our objective of finding the higher-grade causative intrusion at Cerro del Medio. In addition, the delineation of porphyry mineralization at surface at the Pircas Norte and Gemelos Norte targets, within 1.5 km of the Caspiche deposit, provides the Company with excellent undrilled exploration opportunities, which we plan to start testing in Q4.” https://www.torqresources.com/ TSXV: TORQ | OTCQX: TRBMF Press release discussed: https://torqresources.com/news-media/news/2023/torq-drills-557-metres-of-0.38-g-t-gold-0.23-copper-and-56-ppm-molybdenum-substantially-increasing-the-grade-at-santa-cecilia/ Sign up for our free newsletter and receive interview transcripts, stock profiles and investment ideas: http://eepurl.com/cHxJ39 Torq Resources is an MSE sponsor. Erdene Resource Development President & CEO Peter Akerley joins Natalie Stoberman from the Proactive studios to share the latest drill results from its 100 percent owned Zuun Mod molybdenum-copper porphyry project in southwestern Mongolia, located within the Khundii Minerals District, 35 kilometres east of the Bayan Khundii Gold Project. Akerley says the project aimed to expand the existing molybdenum deposit and explore peripheral opportunities within the large Porphyry complex. The drill program successfully achieved its two main objectives, along with discovering molybdenum mineralization around the perimeter of the existing deposit, with some holes showing mineralization grades of up to 200 meters. Additionally, Akerley says a hole located 1.7 kilometers north of the deposit also intersected high-grade mineralization which indicate the potential for the project to become even larger. Akerley explains the market for molybdenum is growing due to its use in lightweight, high-strength steel alloys and its suitability for super alloys and high-strength steels. The mineral is increasingly being used in green energy applications such as solar and wind power equipment and hydrogen pipelines. He says he expects the market is expected to expand, potentially reaching an increase of 184 million pounds per year in the next decade. #ProactiveInvestors #ErdeneResourceDevelopment #Molybdenum #ZoomModProject #MiningNews #ResourceExploration #PorphyryComplex #Mineralization #InfrastructureDevelopment #Mongolia #GreenEnergy #SteelAlloys #MarketTrends #MiningIndustry #DrillResults #MiningInvestment #EconomicGrowth #SustainableDevelopment #RenewableEnergy #MiningExploration #EnvironmentalStudies #TechnicalAnalysis #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

Remember learning about vitamins and minerals for the first time? Maybe it was fun and exciting or maybe it was overwhelming - or possibly both. Regardless of how you felt, there's a lot of them. And remembering all them isn't easy.  So I broke them up into two episodes - one on vitamins and one on minerals. In this episode, I cover the minerals - both the major and trace minerals.  Normally, you'd have a whole semester on micronutrients so this episode is a summary - a review.  This is what you'll learn in this episode: A review of the major minerals, electrolytes, and complications that happen when the levels are elevated or depleted A breakdown of the trace minerals - the role, food sources, deficiency, and toxicity symptoms Here's a glance at this episode:  [08:30] – Why elevated potassium levels need to be addressed and the dangers of elevated potassium levels [10:30] – Symptoms of hyponatremia and what I used to see in my patients when I worked in pediatrics [11:45] – A review of the symptoms of hypernatremia [13:35] – An overview of magnesium including hypomagnesemia and hypermagnesemia. [16:59] – Phosphorous, what it is, why it's important, and where it likes to hang out in the body [20:17] – The role of calcium and phosphorous in the body and why these two go together – like buddies [22:37] – A quick review of refeeding syndrome and how the electrolytes reviewed in this episode are connected to refeeding syndrome [24:48] – What foods interfere with iron absorption [34:20] – The role of zinc especially for people in the clinical setting [38:38] – Why copper is monitored in people with cholestasis [47:29] – What's up with Chromium? [48:39] – Fluoride, the tooth mineral [50:01] – Molybdenum - not only fun to say. You'll hear about a case study of a rare genetic condition involving molybdenum

Ah, heavy metals! While fans often appreciate the whole spectrum, everyone's got their favorite.  Some will fight to the death for the supremacy of Erbium, while others are ride or die for Niobium or Dysprosium. Sure, some folks will flirt with Palladium or Osmium, but everyone eventually agrees on the uses of Lead and Molybdenum.  … Continue reading "Episode 179: Heavy Metal (1981)"

Coffee with Samso Episode 123 is with Nicole Galloway Warland, Managing Director - Thor Mining Plc (ASX: THR)   Thor Mining is a very special diversified mineral exploration company. Special in that there are three very prospective projects and one of them could make this minnow a serious copper producer.   Our first encounter with Thor Mining was in February 2021 with a Coffee with Samso - A Potential ESG compliant Copper-Gold Producer: Thor Mining Plc (ASX:THR) - and the current Managing Director, Nicole Galloway Warland was the the Exploration manager. The projects were just being worked on with just potential as the story.   I liked the projects then and felt that if worked was done and the results were favourable, any of their projects would be a flagship status. Sure enough, work has been done and it looks like my gut feel was on the money.

Medical isotopes make modern medicine possible. We depend on a steady supply to sterilize medical equipment, as radiation sources for oncology treatments and for diagnostic imaging. Canada is a world leader in the production of medical isotopes and punches far above our weight. Our national research reactor, which closed in 2016, provided a number of isotopes including Molybdenum 99 which treated 76,000 patients a day in over 80 countries. Now CANDU power reactors have been put to the job and crank out enough Cobalt 60 to sterlize 25 billion pieces of medical equipment and 40% of the world's single use surgical instruments. I am joined by James Scongack, chair of the nuclear isotope council and an executive at Bruce Power, Canada's largest power plant, to deep dive this topic.

Brief Summary of Show:   In this episode of The Silvercore Podcast, Travis speaks with Ryan Steacy from IBI Barrels to answer all your questions that we received about rifle accuracy and precision.    If you have a story that would be of value to the Silvercore audience, or know someone who does, email us at podcast@silvercore.ca.  We would love to hear from you!   Topics discussed in this episode:   Intro [00:00:00 - 00:02:52]  Gain twist barrels, is there merit there? [00:02:52 - 00:09:04] Your specifications say barrel within .0001”-.0002”, which is extremely consistent. Many people talk about 22lr barrels needing a ‘Choke'. With this consistency, are your barrels not choked and is it really required? [00:09:04 - 00:14:48] Is it common to have a schnozzle, schnabel on the end of a barrel? [00:14:48 - 00:18:11] Barrel length, short or long for accuracy, which is better? [00:18:11 - 00:21:55] Why different powders product different results [00:21:55 - 00:23:03] They say you need a straight barrel bore for accuracy, is it true? How straight is the bore? [00:23:03 - 00:25:25] Is there such a thing as a hummer barrel as a hummer barrel? [00:25:25 - 00:25:25] Is there an optimal headspace? What is the purpose of the shnobel on a barrel? [00:28:40 - 00:29:29] Any plans on a barrel in 6.5 PRC? [00:29:29 - 00:30:25] Is there any accuracy or other differences between the number of grooves a barrel has? [00:30:25 - 00:32:13] Is there any truth to barrel break-in? [00:32:13 - 00:35:34] How international is IBI? [00:35:34 - 00:39:23] Whats up with “seasoning” a barrel for rimfire? [00:39:24 - 00:43:13] How as a manufacturer do you make your barrels shoot well enough to be competitive at the highest level? [00:43:13 - 00:46:02] With modern barrels is there any point in choosing say a Varmint/bull barrel or standard barrel for long range shooting? [00:46:02 - 00:51:05] I'm trying to find a good reload using solid copper bullets (such as barnes ttsx, nosler e-tip, etc) in a tikka with a 1 in a 11 twist. I'm seeing lots of articles suggesting that you don't go by weight of the bullet, but rather the length. Why is that? And is that the true way to find a good bullet for a barrel? [00:51:05 - 00:57:10] Why are you so GQ? [00:57:10 - 00:57:38] For my hunting rig, with weight saving in mind, should I go with a pencil barrel or a canon fibre wrap of the same length? [00:57:38 - 01:00:12] Fast twist 22lr barrels? [01:00:12 - 01:04:35] Cold bore vs. Clean bore [01:04:35 - 01:06:13] How often do you clean your bore? [01:06:13 - 01:09:07] Best practices for cleaning [01:09:07 - 01:14:20] Fire lapping [01:14:20 - 01:16:10] Carbon ring [01:16:10 - 01:23:05] Does an 11 degree target crown make a difference over a 90 degree or other? [01:23:05 - 01:24:04] Barrel or stock, which makes the most noticeable difference to accuracy? [01:24:04 - 01:24:51] Bedding vs. V-blocks [01:24:51 - 01:26:53] Torque settings, are the all that they are cracked up to be? [01:26:53 - 01:30:24] Is Loctite overused? [01:30:24 - 01:32:23] Do barrel tuners work? [01:32:23 - 01:34:37] Will the optimal load for a barrel change over the barrels lifespan [01:34:37 - 01:35:40] What is throat erosion and how can it be prevented? [01:35:40 - 01:37:21] Will moly coated bullets increase barrel life? [01:37:21 - 01:40:01] What gives premium barrel a better life span? [01:40:01 - 01:41:36] Cryo-treating [01:41:36 - 01:42:33] Outro [01:42:33 - 01:44:48]    Explore these Resources In this episode, we mentioned the following resources which may be beneficial to you:   Silvercore [00:00:10] [00:00:21] [00:00:24] [00:00:31] [00:01:22] [01:43:05] Colonel Townsend Whelen [00:00:45] Service Rifle [00:00:52] IBI Barrels [00:00:55] [00:00:56] [00:01:32] [00:35:55] [01:43:21] [01:43:39] PRS [00:03:01] [00:20:47] [01:01:19] [01:33:04] [01:34:15] Gain twist [00:03:10] [00:03:16] [00:03:20] [00:03:23] [00:03:26] [00:04:24] [00:04:34] [00:05:40] [00:06:12] [00:06:14] [00:08:11] Lee Harvey Oswald [00:04:40] [00:05:34] Carcano [00:04:41] Bartlein [00:06:37] [01:41:13] Doug Blessin [00:13:37] Walther [00:13:42] [00:13:52] Reliable Gun [00:19:12] Savage Axis [00:19:15] German corner shot rifles [00:25:03] PGW Defence [00:26:55] [00:49:59] 6BR Norma [00:26:58] Headspacing [00:27:44] [00:27:52] [00:28:14] [00:28:19] 6.5 PRC [00:29:34] [00:29:43] 300 PRC [00:29:50] Cleaver Firearms [00:36:54] CRPS [00:40:44] Lapua [00:41:39] SK [00:41:39] Eley [00:41:44] [00:41:53] [00:41:54] Molybdenum disulfide [00:41:57] [00:41:59] Hexagonal boron [00:42:17] [01:37:59] Remington SPS [00:48:46] Barnes TTSX [00:51:12] [00:52:02] [00:53:01] Nosler e-tip [00:51:13] [00:52:59] Tikka [00:51:17] 175 Sierra Match King [00:52:12] Stag 10 [00:56:19] Transonic zone [01:02:08] [01:02:36] [01:02:42] [01:03:07] Wipe Out [00:34:35] [01:08:20] [01:09:11] [01:09:38] [01:09:48] [01:09:52] [01:10:10] [01:11:51] [01:12:07] [01:14:03] [01:18:32] [01:38:22] [01:38:46] MDT [01:27:56] [01:28:26] [01:28:42] [01:29:14]   Follow us: Podcast YouTube Newsletter Instagram Facebook Follow our Host Instagram: @ Bader.Trav   Learn More about Silvercore Silvercore Club Online Training  Other Training & Services  Merchandise CORE Training Management Resources (TMR)  Blog Page

Dr Greg Nigh co-founded the Immersion Health Centre in 2014 after completing the Naturopathic Doctor program, and the Master of Science and Oriental Medicine Program.  During his early years of work, he developed his interest and passion for researching and implementing alternative cancer therapies.  Dr Nigh has spoken several times at the annual convention of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the National Conference of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians on cancer cell metabolism.  Dr Nigh is a prolific reader, researcher, and writer and has also contributed a chapter to the upcoming two-volume Foundations of Naturopathic Medicine textbook.   Recently Dr Nigh and Dr Jacobi both presented on the SIBO SOS Summit.  Dr Jacobi loved Dr Nigh's talk on hydrogen sulfide and has invited him on the show to discuss sulfur metabolism and his unique ideas about hydrogen sulfide and sulfur imbalances.   Topics discussed include: How did Dr Nigh come to specialise in sulfur? All about sulfur metabolism. Sulfur chelates so well that it can get bound up in our bodies with toxic things. The GAPS diet, how it has high sulfur content, and why some patients may not feel well on the GAPS diet. Sulfur issues as the ‘canary in the coalmine' of toxicity issues in general. How the demand for sulfur is higher due to increased exposure to pollutants in modern life, and the impact this has on sulfur binding throughout the body and not just in phase 2 liver detoxification. How does endogenous sulfur processing, and sulfur production and reduction by certain gut bacteria, connect? Sulfur exposure is all dietary, and is metabolised to sulfate in the body. Sulfate is required in the body in a constant supply, and sometimes the metabolism of sulfur to sulfate is hindered. Heparan sulfate - every surface is in the body is lined with this. Elements that sulfur is used to build in the body. The primary, and alternative, pathway/s of sulfate production. Cystathionine beta synthase (CBS) pathway, what it generates (hydrogen sulfide) PAPS - the activated form of sulfate, and the pathways the body uses to get it. When people are reactive to sulfur or sulfur containing foods or thiols, they are not having an efficient process that ends up in PAPS - what are they reacting to in the pathway? If people cannot get the end product PAPS, then people can overgrow the sulfur fixing bacteria so that they produce higher levels of hydrogen sulfide and sulfide, which can be directly oxidised into sulfate by the mitochondria in the body. Dr Nigh's view is that the overgrowth of hydrogen sulfide bacteria can be seen as an adaptive overgrowth. How to reduce desulfovibrio with diet. Reasons why sulfate production can be shut down, one being glyphosate - a direct hit to sulfate production in the body, chelation of minerals that are needed for sulfur production, interference of specific amino acids involved in the sulfur cycle, and more. The impact of glyphosate on the sulfur production in the body is profound. Glyphosate - a toxic herbicide, the active ingredient in roundup. Glyphosate chelates molybdenum. We need tiny amounts of it, and if we only need tiny amounts it does not take much to chelate and use it up. Dr Nigh's view on testing. Patient symptom red flags that point to sulfur issues, for example: Hydrogen sulfide is a vasodilator, so has links to orthostatic hypotension. Any gut issues - warrants sulfur issue suspicion. Alcohol sensitivity Red, hot presentation Brain fog Histamine and sulfur overlaps. Histamine issue symptoms. Dr Nigh's protocols for enhancing sulfate production from sulfide. Taking the patient off sulfur foods for a week then gradual reintroduction. Detoxification protocols Infrared sauna Molybdenum supplementation Biotics Mo-Zyme Forte - food based tablet based on sprouted lentils 150mcg molybdenum Tablet chewed 2 times per day For those with bloating or gut issues Biotics Bio HPF - bismuth, demulcents, and others. Bismuth reduces hydrogen sulfide production in the gut. Butyrate The most underrated gut nutrient that there is. Biotics Butyric-Cal-Mag Apax EnteroVite Digestive enzyme Hydroxocobalamin injections or sublingually to lower hydrogen sulfide in the blood. Zinc acetate as a binder for hydrogen sulfide Glyphosate strongly chelates zinc. Detox support, coffee enemas, colonics, epsom salt baths (magnesium sulfate) - increasing sulfate transdermally, adrenal support if indicated Epsom salts (4 cups per bath) - a way to get sulfate in without the reactivity of digestion. Sensory deprivation tank option. Dr Yarnell's low sulfur diet Thiols and Dr Nigh's opinion on their reactivity for people. Red meat is the highest dietary source of sulfur and yet does not seem to have many people reacting to it, whereas garlic does. Why is this? Foods to watch - eggs, onion, kale, garlic, cabbage, brussel sprouts, cabbage, brassica family. Kale accumulates the heavy metal thallium (from waste-water used for crops). Do Allicin extracts still elicit issues in people with sulfur issues? Highly important to include any sulfur food items that are tolerated for the sulfur content (required by body). Dr Nigh's sulfur protocol and his success with SIBO patients. What is the connection between Dr Nigh's success with methane dominant SIBO clients and the sulfur protocol? How might glyphosate toxicity play into this? Methanobrevibacter smithii - not a pathogen, why? SIBO bacteria - why do we only grow certain bacteria? Dr Nigh's sulfur metabolism nuggets.   Resources Dr Greg Nigh Immersion Health Portland, Oregon drnigh@immersionhealthpdx.com SIBO SOS Summit Dr Yarnell Naturopathic Foundations of Gastrointestinal Diseases?
