Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman, marking my 102nd episode of VideoFuzzy, reporting the progress I've made in cataloging thousands of VHS transfers and digital recordings. I open with a complicated correction that involves my having mixed up Rachel Nichols and Elisabeth Harnois, the shows they were involved in, their connections to Joss Whedon productions and also cross connections through "Criminal Minds." This set covers discs 1826 to 1850 in my Classic Collection. For my Fuzzy Feature, from Discs 1849 and 1850, comments on the pilot episode of Matt Nix production "The Good Guys," along with my 12th ever "VideoFuzzy the Video" posted here: https://youtu.be/aT5HIqRBS50 I also traced Cross Connections turning up in this collection for Golden Threads Michael O'Neill and Stephen Weber, plus Tahmon Penniket, William B. Davis, Gary Anthony Williams, Erica Gimpel, Ally Walker, Marion Ross, Chrisotpher Lloyd, Scott Bakula, Fred Willard, Swoosie Kurtz, Allison Janney, Terry O'Quinn, Marilyn Manson, Mitch Pileggi, Jon Waters, Bob Clendinen, Neil Patrick Harris, Molly Shannon, John Michael Higgins, Idina Menzel, Judy Greer, Kelsey Grammer, Saul Rubinek, Rachel York, Brent Sexton, Kevin "Repo" Thomas, M.C. Gainey, Kate Vernon and Wade Williams. Plus from "Mid-Century Modern" and elsewhere, I recognize my latest Golden Thread: Bruno Amato. In my Classic Collection, I encountered a few disc errors, suggesting my current DVD player may be wearing out. In the meantime, lots of high-drama season finales in this set. Comments on "Grey's Anatomy," "Fringe," "The Simpsons," "Chuck," "Breaking Bad," and a discussion on the Weeping Angels in "Doctor Who." In Old Business, I track down a musical comedy clip of Martin Short listing celebrities and other notables who refuse to appear on "The Late Show with David Letterman." I'd archived a portion of that one to disc 225 but hadn't seen the first half in perhaps ever until I found it on YouTube in a clip compilation of Martin Short appearances hosted by David Letterman and Paul Schaffer. I posted it here, cued to the 22-minute mark: https://bit.ly/3G52J9e In What I've Been Watching, comments on the Vernal Theatre's outstanding production of "Kiss Me Kate," the second season premiere of "Doctor Who" on Disney+, the first season of "Continuum" and pilot episodes of "Millennium," "Profiler" and "Mid-Century Modern." SPREADING THE WORD! "VideoFuzzy: The Video - Celebrating 100 Episodes!" is posted at https://youtu.be/eWfcCDiOZ2I. Please share as you're able to with anyone you feel might enjoy this production. Elaine's shallow nature forces her dashing boyfriend to discover he's going bald after years of shaving his head. We are treated to an incredibly funny performance by veteran actor John Michael Higgins, who plays Elaine's balding beau. There are so many entertaining moments in this one, but as usual, I feel more time allotted to the Elaine plot would have elevated the episode that much more.

Calling in to talk with KJ about his fun show, Split Second on the Game Show Network, John Michael Higgins was more than happy to get sidetracked talking about puppies! In fact, he had one on his lap as we were talking! KJ TODAY is bringing you the positive vibes of pop culture, people to know and pets! Subscribe for the Vibe: youtube.com/kjtoday ABOUT JOHN MICHAEL HIGGINS: Best known for his hilarious, show-stealing performances in Christopher Guest's "Best in Show" (2000) and "A Mighty Wind" (2003), actor John Michael Higgins almost shot his career in the foot when he played David Letterman in the HBO docudrama, "The Late Shift" (1996), a behind-the-scenes look at the struggle between Letterman and rival Jay Leno (David Roebuck) for Johnny Carson's prized chair on "The Tonight Show." The real Letterman expressed his loathing of the movie in general and the actor's performance specifically, calling Higgins a "psychotic chimp." Letterman even bumped him from his late night talk show, "The Late Show with David Letterman" (CBS, 1993-2015), after inviting him on to be a guest. Actors of lesser caliber may have been stuck doing bit parts but Higgins' talent for both comedy and drama allowed him thrive on stage and screen as a dependable character actor in hit films like "Pitch Perfect" (2012) and co-starring on sitcoms such as the Tina Fey-created "Great News" (NBC 2017- ).

The series premiere of SPLIT SECOND can be seen Monday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m. ET on Game Show Network and air weekdays. This is John Michael Higgins' second show on Game Show Network. He previously hosted America Says, running for five seasons and over 500 episodes to date. Based on a format from game show legend Monty Hall, Spilt Second asks three contestants to decide in a split second which of three general interest trivia questions they can answer. The first player to buzz in gets the first pick, and the last player is left to answer whatever is left, which is often the most difficult. The player with the fastest response time and the highest success rate answering questions over the first three rounds advances to the bonus game where their ability to answer a rapid-fire series of questions could win them $10,000. Split Second is produced by Game Show Enterprises Studios with Michael Binkow as executive producer. Nancy Glass, Marcus Lemonis, and Sharon Hall also serve as executive producers for Marcus/Glass Productions. John Michael Higgins serves as host and executive producer.

It's another exciting match-up this week on Fabulous Film & Friends as we compare the works of two L.A. showbiz-loving poets cum grand masters with Quentin Tarantino's 2019 magnum opus, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Emile Hirsch, Bruce Dern, Margaret Qualley, Dakota Fanning, Mike Moh, a pre-Elvis Austin Butler, Kurt Russell, Al Pacino, and a whole host of familiar faces against Paul Thomas Anderson's Licorice Pizza starring unknowns Alana Haim and Cooper Hoffman with big time help from Sean Penn, Bradley Cooper, Tom Waits, Ben Safdie, John Michael Higgins and in a master class of supporting acting, Harriet Sansom Harris as a tough-talking agent. I'm your host Gino Caputi and my guests this week are once again series regulars Dr. David Johnson and Roseanne Caputi and here celebrating his birthday with us, the ageless and unstoppable Gordon Alex Roberstson . Again, simple synopses, which as we all know are always the best.Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, is set in the summer of 1969 under the looming shadow of the Manson family's forthcoming murder-spree, a fading TV star named Rick Dalton who is next-door neighbor to Manson victim Sharon Tate and her husband Roman Polanski, juggles the ups and downs of his career, while leaning on the solid friendship of his stunt double and best friend Cliff Boothe. Licorice Pizza, chronicles the story of Alana, an aimless 25-year old school photographer's assistant, living with her parents in 1973 in the San Fernando Valley, and Gary Valentine, a 15-year old actor and aggressive entrepreneur who, try as they might, cannot escape the fact that they were meant for each other. Are these two films entirely different or very similar?Find out!

This week, we're discussing the 2009 kinda-sorta teen sex romp, "Fired Up." We wonder exactly how old is TOO old to play a high school student, try to figure out why a movie that perfectly follows the teen sex romp formula has exactly no sex in it, remember the musical brilliance of Lou Bega, and heap praise on John Michael Higgins.
