In this episode I cover the highlights of the week of June 2 - 9, which include a new moon in Gemini, a Venus cazimi in Gemini, Mars' ingress into Taurus, and more. Visit my website Follow me on Instagram
WELCOME to another action packed astrological month of June as Gemini season is actively communicating various ideas needed deep thoughts. Mercury zips into Gemini to join the Sun, Venus, and Jupiter. Mercury is never too far from the Sun and is happy being at home where people understand the quick witted commentary and jokes that seem to come out of nowhere. The new Gemini moon also conjuncts Venus as Saturn also calls in to the meeting. It's a wonderful time for manifestation and meditation as the TMIs or volume of chatter and data overload may take over during these many many meetings occurring with the outer and personal planets on a daily basis. Even as the planets retrograde, they still continue to have meetings to support the path of the future. Of course these planets merely affect the vibes of the electric spark coming from the universe above Earth. How people interact with the pressures on our chemical bodies will reveal the truth. Choosing the path of integrity and balance are always true and trusted winners that will enable a peaceful loving life that is both spiritual and mundane. June opens with Pisces moon -ending May which introduced us unknown times that keeps sending more surprising news, especially during the Mercury ruled ogether as never before- strengthening our resolve to feel a larger community that we can call home. Next week will be another speedy race around the race track! Buckle up before things begins to slow down near the end of June. By then, the sand traps will be hard to avoid as the summer heats up with hurricane season!! Stay safe and sound! See you next week and thank you for your continued support!!Gemini season of learning and teaching. New innovative ways of communicating with out traditional methods will continue to emerge as the new year rings in. Sometimes too much of a good thing can cause anxiety overload as the need to be in the know gets addictive- such is social media. I am personally a tech geek in always playing around with various artistic apps to get my vision across to a large audience. This has brought the world together like never before. Thank you for your continued support and join me next week as we take another lap around the fast track of Gemini season!! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jody-cirame/message
This fortnight is jam-packed with the lovely blends of Elements which promote soul growth and social bonding. May 23rd is one of the most brilliant and blessed days of the year. Venus, the Planet of love, makes a conjunction to Jupiter, the Planet of luck, right before leaving Taurus to enter Gemini on this day. Their embrace, combined with the sextile between Jupiter, the Planet of protection, and Neptune, the Planet of dreams and divine connection, is a celestial celebration that expands goodwill and optimism. Episode 135 In this podcast, New York Times bestselling author and astrologer Chani Nicholas discusses the astrology of the week and what it might mean for us all. The astrology of the week of July 17th, 2023, is chock-full of incredibly impactful astrology. On Monday, Mercury (the planet of communication) squares Jupiter (the planet of luck), bringing us big and impactful news. Later that same day, there's a New Moon in Cancer opposing Pluto, helping us give ourselves the care we need. Also on Monday, the nodes of the Moon change signs, providing an increase of energy in the area of our charts that contains Aries and a release in the part of our charts that contains Libra. On Thursday, Mars (the planet of courage) opposes Saturn (the planet of boundaries), calling attention to a problem we have to contend with. On Friday, the Sun opposes Pluto (the planet of transformation), shining a light on something that is usually hidden. Also on Friday, the Sun makes a square to the lunar nodes, adding a fated feeling to our revelations. On Saturday, Venus (the planet of pleasure) stations retrograde, urging us to reclaim our desires and deepest feelings amid systems of supremacy. Then, the Sun enters Leo, which is a great time to adorn yourself and bring some flare to your life. On Sunday, Chiron stations retrograde, pulling focus to a wound we are working on healing. Finally, Mercury squares Uranus (the planet of disruption), which could present us with shocking news. This is one of the biggest weeks of the summer, so be extra caring with yourself and refuse to take on work that isn't yours to take on. What do we want to possess and show off?
Welcome to the Celestial Insights Podcast, the show that brings the stars down to Earth! Each week, astrologer, coach, and intuitive Celeste Brooks of Astrology by Celeste will be your guide. Her website is astrologybyceleste.com.
As we move toward summer here in the northern hemisphere, we can look forward to longer, warmer days. Most of the other planets go through cycles of seasons as well. But not Venus. There's nothing to cause the seasons to change. So the climate stays the same all year across the entire planet. Venus is the brilliant “evening star.” It's below the crescent Moon this evening. The star El Nath is closer above the Moon, with Aldebaran, the bright orange eye of the bull, well to the lower left of Venus. The seasons on Earth are caused by our planet's tilt on its axis. For part of the year, the north pole tips toward the Sun, bringing longer, warmer days to the northern hemisphere. And for the rest of the year, the south pole tips sunward, bringing light and heat to the southern hemisphere. Venus is flipped upside down compared to Earth and most other planets. But its tilt relative to the Sun is tiny — not nearly enough to create seasons. The seasons on some planets are also influenced by their distance from the Sun. Mars's distance varies quite a bit, for example, making the seasons in the southern hemisphere more extreme than those in the north. Here again, though, Venus is well behaved. Its distance from the Sun varies by less than any other planet — not enough to create any seasonal changes. So daylight stays the same across the entire planet all year 'round, and so do temperatures — about 860 degrees Fahrenheit. Script by Damond Benningfield Support McDonald Observatory
The Moon passes through some crowded territory the next couple of nights. Its most prominent companion is Venus, the beautiful “evening star.” Venus is close to the upper left of the Moon tonight. And a bright true star is a little farther to the left of the Moon: Aldebaran, the bright orange eye of Taurus, the bull. And here's something interesting about the trio — and about every other object in the night sky. We see all of them at the same moment in our own timeline — but not in theirs. We see the Moon, Venus, Aldebaran, and everything else as they looked at different moments in the past. That's because the universe has a speed limit — the speed of light. It's 670 million miles per hour. But this speed limit is enforced by the laws of physics, so there's no way to cheat and squeeze in a little extra. As a result, it takes time for light to travel from a star or planet to our eyes. And the amount of time depends on its distance. The Moon, for example, is a little less than a quarter of a million miles away, so the sunlight reflected from its surface takes about one and a third seconds to reach us. Venus is almost a hundred million miles away right now — almost nine minutes at lightspeed. And Aldebaran is four million times farther than that. It takes light 65 years to cross that immense gulf — a distance of 65 light-years. We'll have more about the Moon and its companions tomorrow. Script by Damond Benningfield Support McDonald Observatory
The three brightest objects in the night sky line up as night falls. The planets Jupiter and Venus are below the Moon, in that order. Nothing else is anywhere close to their brightness, so you can't miss them. The Moon is the last of the three bodies to set, about 9:30 or 10. We won't see it again until sunset tomorrow. If you just can't wait that long, though, you can see bits of the Moon at more than 40 locations across the United States. Those bits are from the Apollo missions. Astronauts collected almost 850 pounds of lunar samples. Hundreds of scientists around the world have studied the collection of rocks and dirt. Most of the remaining samples are stored in a lab at Johnson Space Center in Houston, where they're still shipped out for study — and probably will be for decades to come. But NASA has sent out many samples for public display. Most of them came from the final three Apollo missions. Most of the display samples are tiny — not more than a few grams. They're on display at NASA visitor centers, presidential libraries, and Smithsonian museums. Others are at state science and history museums, or at big aviation museums. According to NASA, they can be found in 23 states — from Massachusetts to California, Florida to Hawaii, plus Washington, D.C. And if you're outside the U.S., you're not shut out: Lunar samples are on display in almost a dozen other countries. Script by Damond Benningfield Support McDonald Observatory
The Moon and the planet Jupiter stage a spectacular encounter this evening. Jupiter looks like a brilliant star next to the Moon. Venus, the “evening star,” is close below them, completing an impressive tableau. Jupiter has four big moons of its own. And a spacecraft that's been orbiting Jupiter since 2016 has recently turned its instruments toward three of them. The biggest is Ganymede — the largest moon in the entire solar system. The Juno spacecraft flew just 650 miles from it in June of 2021 — the closest encounter with Ganymede in almost two decades. Juno confirmed the moon has a deep ocean buried far below its icy surface. It also provided new details on Ganymede's innards, and on the composition and temperature of some of its surface features. Juno made a close pass by the moon Europa early last year. Europa has a buried ocean, too. But it's much closer to the surface, and it's considered a possible habitat for life. Scientists are still analyzing those observations. And in December, Juno made the first of nine encounters with Io. It's the smallest of the four big moons. Instead of ice and water, it's a world of volcanoes — more than any other body in the solar system. Juno will pass less than a thousand miles from Io a couple of times. The craft will continue its reconnaissance of Jupiter as well — telling us more about the solar system's largest planet. More about the Moon and its companions tomorrow. The last time the United States sent a mission to Venus, the first George Bush was president, and cell phones were as big as your head. Today, we're getting ready to go back. NASA's preparing two missions — one to orbit the planet, and the other to drop a probe into its atmosphere. Venus is the second planet from the Sun. It's a bit smaller than Earth. Its atmosphere is hot, dense, and toxic, and topped by clouds of sulfuric acid. Those clouds make it impossible to see the surface. But the last American mission, Magellan, which was launched in 1989, used radar to peer through the clouds. It mapped a surface covered by rugged volcanic features. The new missions are Veritas and Davinci. Like Magellan, Veritas will use radar to map the surface. But its radar will be more powerful, so it'll provide much better maps. Veritas also will map the composition of the rocks. Davinci will orbit as well. But it'll also drop a probe into the atmosphere. It'll parachute through the clouds and go all the way to the surface. It should tell us more about how the atmosphere formed and evolved, and why it's so different from Earth's atmosphere. Veritas is scheduled to launch no earlier than 2027, with Davinci following two years later. Venus is the “evening star.” It's in the southwest at nightfall. The planet Jupiter looms to its upper left. And tonight, the Moon is directly below Venus in the early twilight. More tomorrow. Script by Damond Benningfield Support McDonald Observatory

We are back with a chart that folks have been begging us to break down. We are talking about new mom, Rihanna! She's a singer, an actress, an entrepreneur, and a billionaire! She was born Robyn Rihanna Fenty, 2/20/1988 @ 8:50am in Bridgetown, Barbados. She has a Pisces Sun, Aries Moon and is an Aries Rising. People online love to debate whether she is really a Pisces or and Aries and she's really a perfect balance of both. The old soul of Pisces and the eager young energy of Aries combines to make a wise and ambitious woman. Mixing that water and that fire creates steam and there is no doubt that Rihanna is steamy! We discuss her Moon/Venus conjunction which is right on her Ascendant. There is a reason she's so stunning and she was destined to be a mother. That aspect also makes a quincunx to Pluto making it intense and exciting. We also talk about her out of sign Mars/Uranus/Saturn conjunction. That is why she's such a hard worker, inventive and creative. She's driven to change the world through her art and her business. We also break down some of her transits. We can see how transiting Uranus affected her career as a singer and a beauty mogul. Pluto brought up a lot of relationship issues which got resolved after another Pluto transit. And we can see how her music career has changed thanks to her Saturn return. This one is a fun one. I mean, who doesn't love Riri?Subscribe, rate, and review if you enjoy this episode! One of the most beautiful astronomical conjunctions you'll ever see decorates the dawn sky tomorrow. The Moon will team up with the planets Venus and Jupiter, the second- and third-brightest objects in the night sky. All three will remain visible for a good while as twilight begins to paint the sky. And two of the three will stay visible even during full daylight. The Moon is fairly easy to spot, even though it's only a thin crescent. At sunrise, it'll stand about 40 degrees to the upper right of the Sun — four times the width of your fist held at arm's length. Against the bright blue of the daytime sky, it looks pale and washed out — a mere shadow of its nighttime appearance. So you have to search for it to see it. The same thing applies to Venus. Before daylight, it's the brilliant “morning star.” It's so bright that people often mistake it for an airplane, or report it as a UFO. During the day, though, it doesn't stand out at all — you have to work to pluck it from the glare. At sunrise, it'll be a little to the upper right of the Moon. Once you lock in, though, you'll probably wonder why it took so long to find it. And if you have binoculars, you can even catch nearby Jupiter shining faintly against the blue background. Venus and Jupiter are moving closer together, and will appear to almost touch each other in a few days — especially pleasing before the Sun floods the sky with the light of another day. This week's full moon on the 16th is in proud Leo. Now we understand our true worth. Our inherent value shines bright like the sun. Mighty Mars and Compassionate Venus are joining forces in Capricorn. Will this be a boot on our necks or will we lock arms around the world to claim back our birthright? Freedom is our birthright. Intention is everything. Love is a sure thing. The Full moon highlights what we need to know. Shines a bright light on what has been ignored or suppressed. Which is why people get kinda nuts around the full moon. If you have been repressing something for long enough it gets distorted. Bigger than life. Be sure to explore what is coming up for you now. The Moon is shining through the lens of Leo. This highlights areas related to self expression. Creativity and happiness are big motivators. Romance and pride. Your sense of your Inherent worth and your ability to encourage others is in Leo too. Leo is also associated with performers, royalty and leaders in general. To get up there in front of people one must have a bit of the performer in them. What area of your chart is Leo in? This is the part you want to focus on. Are you expressing yourself? You just need to be you. You are born for this. It's your birthright. This flash of Leo energy turns on the self esteem switch. A wave we most definitely want to ride. On the full Moon Venus and Mars are heating things up in the Capricorn areas of your chart. Is there friction in your work world? Do you need to step into a position of power? What is is your 5 year plan? How about ten? Venus seeks value. It activates what brings pleasure and peace. Mars is a warrior. Our ability to act quickly for what will bring value into our world is here. We can trust this impulse. Follow your dreams, they know the way! Feb 17th, with the moon in detailed Virgo we can tap into some activating luck. Where things were once stuck now they can move. Where you were confused, you are clear. The Moon does a little samba with successful Jupiter and a fun salsa with Neptune. Our ideals lead the way. Our magic making is top notch right now. Dreams come true everyday. Now it's time for yours to make it in the real world. The planetary energy for so much good is active. On the 18th the Sun moves into spiritual Pisces. It's a big shift from detached air sign to the most sensitive water sign. The Sun is sharing space with compassionate Neptune and optimistic Jupiter. This is powerful energy to manifest higher realities for the greater good of all. Be sure to engage your potent imagination in the creation of how you want it to all play out. Think of the animals. The minerals. Your fellow humans being. All earthlings and mother earth herself. We are swiftly evolving as a species. Perhaps all the chaos is just the death rattles of a dying repressive past. Lay the images of what you wish to be overtop of what seems to be dissolving. Hold tight and think big. You came here to contribute your energy to the creation of a new world.
