Taurus Season April 19th - May 20th 2025 This episode offers our Taurus season Tarot forecast plus tarot associations for Taurus - The Hierophant - and Earth (Pentacles). This episode may have more significance for Taurus natives (Sun, rising, or moon in Taurus). Taurus Season Significance: Sun in Taurus marks a shift into grounded practicality, stability, loyalty, and resilience after the fiery initiation of Aries. Energetically supports taking inventory of what we have and what we want moving forward. A favorable time to continue action on plans from fall and winter – be persistent and rest in equal measure. Offers roots to new ideas and dreams, emphasizing hard work alongside experiencing the pleasures of the earth. Taurus Frequency and The Hierophant Card: Taurus is traditionally associated with The Hierophant in the major arcana of the Tarot The Hierophant card: A spiritual teacher or guide figure Holding a staff or scepter (symbol of authority and guidance). Often with two kneeling figures before him (students or followers). The Hierophant embodies tradition, established systems, wisdom passed down, and guidance through conventional means. It represents learning, mentorship, and connecting with established beliefs and structures. Imbalance: Dogmatism, blind adherence to rules, stifling individuality, outdated traditions, hypocrisy. Key message: Seek wisdom through established channels, understand the value of tradition but don't get locked into it, find guidance from trusted sources, be your own trusted source, go the weird way rather than follow the herd.. Questions to consider: Who are your trusted mentors or guides? How can you learn and grow within existing teachers? Are there any outdated beliefs holding you back? How can you add your own magic to your spirituality experience? Invitation to harness grounded/stable/earth aspects: What can you cultivate and nurture for long-term security? How can you open the doorways between the seen and the unseen? How can you expand your mystical knowledge? Reframing tradition: Recognizing the value of established wisdom while remaining open to evolution and personal truth. Taurus as an Earth Sign: Earth element in tarot is represented by Pentacles (or Coins). Earth signifies practicality, stability, material resources, the physical body, sensuality, and groundedness. Ayesha Adamo is an academic, performing artist, and filmmaker currently working towards a PhD in Religion at Rice University under Jeffrey J. Kripal. Her dissertation project explores fluid cosmological ideas, both historically and in current quantum mechanics. She holds an MA in Religious Studies from Universiteit van Amsterdam's Centre for the History of Hermetic Philosophy & Related Currents and is a graduate of Barnard College, Columbia University, with a degree in music. Rumor has it she was once in an Asian pop band on EMI Records. Her most recent articles can be found in Anthropology of Consciousness and Religious Studies Review. She is also an ordained Hierophant and Grand Chief of Temple of Thelema. In this discussion, we first look at Georges Bataille and his interpretation of the Acéphale. Bataille (1897-1962) was a philosopher and intellectual, interested in surrealism, and anti- fascist, who, in 1937 founded two groups with the goal of exploring how combinations of power and ‘the sacred' were at play in society. The first group was called the College of Sociology that gave lectures (exoteric group); the second group was Acéphale, an esoteric ‘secret society.' Additionally, a public review by the same name, whose emblem was a headless man, was published in 1936. Ayesha talks a bit about this Acéphale emblem and what this represents, including remarks about the connections to Aleister Crowley's concept of The Abyss; the notion of receptivity, and the difference between the ‘magical' and ‘mystical' currents. Moving from Bataille to George Balanchine, the famous choreographer who co-founded the New York City Ballet Company in 1948; Balanchine is probably most known for his plotless ballets and minimalism, and has a famous quote, “Don't think Dear, just do!' Ayesha shares how are she is linking these two figures and the concept of the Acéphale. She is currently thinking about how the meditative state is the artist's state as well.Ayesha then expands on her 2023 article, “The League of Endarkenment: Hakim Bey and the Way of Disappearance into Nature” talking about “Endarkenment” and how this fits into this same area of headlessness, the mandrake, and disappearance.Lastly, taken from her paper abstract, Ayesha talks more about what she means by “the open fluidity of no-mind” and “the performance of headless meditation.”*Note 1: I mistakenly say ‘Endarkment' instead of ‘Endarkenment' (my apologies!); plus, around the 29:00 minute mark, the name ‘D.T. Suzuki' is unfortunately cut off due to audio issues. Please find more information about Suzuki in the program notes below.*Note 2 (Not Ignoring the Elephant in the Room): Peter Lamborn Wilson, who wrote under the name ‘Hakim Bey,' was a controversial figure, and unfortunately, rumors have arisen surrounding some of his writings regarding NAMBLA. Accusations were made by a particular website (run by one person, a fellow anarchist) against Wilson, and due to the nature of the internet, damaging assumptions were made. This article A Tribute to Peter Lamborn Wilson - The Brooklyn Rail is a collection of testimonials, and discusses this matter in more detail, giving much needed context.PROGRAM NOTES:Ayesha Adamo | Student | The People of Rice | Rice UniversityAyesha Adamo | Rice University - Academia.eduInstagramAyesha Adamohttps://www.hds.harvard.edu/faculty-research/programs-and-centers/program-evolution-spirituality#:~:text=The%20Program%20for%20the%20Evolution%20of%20Spirituality%20%28PES%29,also%20prepares%20students%20for%20ministry%20in%20these%20mov (More information forthcoming regarding this program and how to join remotely!)It Takes a Lunatic | Officiële Netflix-websiteORGCHAOSMIK - GUSTAF BROMSD. Welcome to 2025! This year promises to be a year of huge shifts. I wrote an article about the major changes taking place Astrologically on my Substack which you can subscribe to here. In this episode, I offer a Tarot reading for 2025. Listed below are the cards that showed up, in order: 1. The Issue: Major Arcana 21: The Universe 2. The lens through which we view the issue: Major Arcana 20: The Aeon 3. The Conscious Mind: Minor Arcana 10 Swords: Ruin 4. The Unconscious Mind: Major Arcana 5: The Hierophant (reversed) 5. What we are leaving behind: Emperor (reversed) 6. Where we are headed: 5 Disks: Worry (reversed) 7. The Self: 6 Swords: Science (reversed) 8. What is facing the self: Queen of Swords (reversed) 9. Hope and Fear: 8 Swords: Interference 10. Key: Prince of Disks (reversed) This was a powerful reading that reflected Masculine/Feminine dynamics, mental pitfalls, The nervous system freeze response, as well as tools to counter-balance functional freeze: getting into a practice of integrated action and movement. *Note: It's time to integrate the body/mind, the masculine/feminine. No longer can we act as a non-unified self. Integration is key this year and beyond. To get in touch for Tarot and Astrology readings and Coaching, you can sign up for my mailing list here. I'm chatting today with Lalania Simone about Lalania's newest deck, Tarot of the Cosmic Seed. In an effort to decolonize the tarot, remove outdated ideas of hierarchy, and shift ingrained gender norms, Lalania, founder of Alchemy Ritual Goods, has created a lush and vibrant deck with unique imagery and symbolism and an array of people and cultures. Having renamed the royalty cards—including the Hierophant, Emperor, Empress, and the court cards—Lalania has expanded their interpretation into energy signatures rather than personality types. The result is a deeply diverse spiritual tool, a bridge to the mysterious and the esoteric, as well as a guide to the everyday. Using the Rider-Waite-Smith tradition as a foundation, this deck offers a twist: there is a twenty-third card added to the Major Arcana—The Cosmic Seed, a representative of us all as infinite, cosmic spirits, enmeshed in sacred flesh for a time on this Earth. Find Lalania: Buy Tarot of the Cosmic Seed: https://amzn.to/3VkQb2j Instagram: @the.cosmicseed www.lalaniasimone.com Lalania is an artist and entrepreneur on a path of personal expansion and collective liberation. Their work here on earth is to awaken to the fullness of my divine presence, and to experience the pure divine potential in every person and thing that surrounds them. Lalania is the author of Urban Soul Warrior: Self Mastery in the Midst of the Metropolis, the creatix of Tarot of the Cosmic Seed, and co-owner of a magical BIWOC owned metaphysical shop called Alchemy Ritual Goods. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/witch-wednesdays/support

Welcome to my Memorizing Tarot Card Audio Podcast, where I discuss strategies to learn and memorize Tarot cards. Today's episode is your three-minute lesson on the Reversal of The Hierophant. Why an audio course =================The purpose of this audio podcast is to help reinforce key messages by audio, while you clean, exercise, mow your lawn, or drive great distances. There is no charge for this content, and it is intended to provide short, snappy microlearning to help beginners keep practicing and reinforcing the learning. The best way to learn Tarot cards, is to keep practicing working with the cards. Rider Waite Tarot Card Deck=======================I learned how to read cards on the Rider Waite Tarot Deck and the instructor I had said its easiest to have everyone on the same deck when explaining the symbolism. With time, I was able to transfer that knowledge to other decks. If you are a beginner at learning Taro, below are some links to the Rider Waite Tarot Deck to follow along if you need a set of cards. I earn a small referral commission from these links from Amazon. I took a two and a half day course, and I was so excited to be able to take the mystery out of getting readings done for myself, and to be able to do them myself. We also have social media channels, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and all major podcast distributors such as Spotify, Apple, Audible and many others under the handle @quickLearnQuests. I am focusing mostly on my podcasts and YouTube at the moment, but I will expand into more social media more consistently when I find my feet. Here is my YouTube Channel video for interpreting cards in Three Card Spreads: https://youtu.be/P8En-8-8njk?si=7LIlOsFv9pNZ9iK7 Here is the transcript: Welcome to the "Memorizing Tarot Cards" podcast, your three-minute lessons on learning and memorizing each card using symbolism. I use the Rider Waite Tarot, but you can view the card while you listen using your own Tarot card deck or a computer. Today, we're exploring The Hierophant, focusing on reversals. Let's start with the divine meaning of the card and then its meaning when reversed. The Hierophant upright represents tradition, structured belief systems, and wisdom passed down through established institutions. He symbolizes learning, community, and adherence to spiritual or societal norms. However, when The Hierophant appears reversed, this traditional energy shifts, suggesting a break from conformity, rebellion against outdated norms, or a need for personal freedom and unconventional thinking. The reversed Hierophant often points to a time when you may feel restricted by rules, expectations, or the status quo. It signals an urge to question authority, seek personal truth, and carve out a path that resonates uniquely with you. So what does that mean when we see The Hierophant reversed in a reading? When The Hierophant reversed appears in a reading, it's often a sign to examine your relationship with structure and conformity. This card invites you to challenge the norms and find a path that feels true to you. It encourages you to trust your inner guide over external pressures. It may also indicate that you're in a phase of learning outside of traditional methods. You might be exploring new ideas, teachings, or experiences that are not accepted as the truth by traditional learning. So, what is the best way to memorize The Hierophant in reverse? Tying the card to a personal experience helps me remember it. For example, my reversed Hierophant moment was discovering learning communities. I was writing and delivering training in more traditional ways for a very long time, and I figured this new idea "would never work." The short story, I was wrong. Very, very wrong. The learning community saw a high level of engagement, participation, and learning outcomes. When I was willing to move into the Hierophant reversed and think outside of tradition, I was surprised by what opened up for me in that project, and in my career. That's all for today's episode of The Hierophant Reversed. Remember, to memorize tarot, keep practicing tarot. Thanks for listening. #TheHierophant #memorize #courtcards #learn #learning #Tarot #cards #riderwaite #Tarotdeck #riderTarotdeck #riderwaite #majorarcana #learnTarot #learnTarotcards #learnTarotreading #learnTarotpodcast #memorizeTarot #audiocourse #audio #podcast

Once again, I'm sharing this with everyone, 1) because it's fun and I've never been good at paywalls, and 2) because our entire reading for August was Major Arcana cards. How are you? Still alive? Reeling from profundity? or just plain tired? Let's talk about it!Of course, you can press play above (or in your podcast platform of choice) to hear my in-depth thoughts on the cards as they unfolded over the month, but you can also scroll down for some more lighthearted reflections. And get a look at the cards for September.Speaking of September, I'm having a visceral experience of autumn approaching. Maybe it's years of internalized back-to-school energy, but this time always seems ripe for preparation, reinvention, and some generalized nervousness. I'm watching the light change here in North Carolina and seeing the first leaves grow tired and change color around the edges. I'm also thinking about how this time marks a new year in some traditions which has always felt instinctively right to me. How have you been experiencing fall and its many transitions? Oddly and not surprisingly given our cards, I've felt like I've been in the busy fall season already. August was a blur of work, adventures, and guests. I felt energized and called to do a whole bunch of home projects and yardwork which prompted some spontaneous magic, see below, and left me feeling recentered and reconnected with my home. So much was happening, in fact, that I didn't read or watch as much as usual. I did the classic “check out too many intense psychology and non-fiction books from the library” move that leaves me with a stack on my bedside table that I'm too exhausted to read properly. (Me treating my reading like The Hierophant when I really want a steamy beach read a la the Queen of Wands?)I did honor my need for stupidity by going to see Twisters in the theaters. While an unhinged trailer for a Christmas action movie starring The Rock, Chris Evans, and a horrific muscular CGI polar bear was more jaw-dropping than the movie itself, I thoroughly enjoyed being swept away by frenetic action sequences and oddly chaste romance. In tarot speak, this was absolutely a Seven of Wands meets The Fool scenario. And in the tarot world, I found myself moving away from personal readings and just letting this massive, honking monthly forecast take center stage. I did, however, keep pulling Strength as a daily draw. I guess some things require emphasis, but at this point I think I've gotten the message! But, to go deeper as we wrap up this recap, having Strength as our opportunity card this past month was such a robust invitation to look at how we've been preparing for this moment of transition. Things are about to get more specific in September (which may be a welcome change after our existential deep-dive tour of the major arcana!) and now is a good time to ask ourselves: What is the major issue I'm working on this year?As usual, please share any insights, experiences, questions, or comments below. I adore hearing from you all and this community has some incredible gems of wisdom! Don't forget to scroll down for our reflection prompts and our cards for September (you'll never guess what our first card is…).Reflection Prompts for August 2024The Fool* Where did you take risks, a leap of faith, or commit to stepping into something new this month?* How did you honor your true nature, wishes, and instincts/intuition?* What did you learn about who you truly are and how you can begin again? The Devil* What did taking these chances bring up for you?* Where did you notice fear, self-sabotage, and harmful thinking in your life?* What patterns felt stale, limiting, and old? The Hierophant represents my guest today on The Tarot Table. This card embodies dedication to learning, studying, and preserving the knowledge and traditions of the past. It represents the importance of education, mentorship, and the passing down of wisdom from one generation to another. The Hierophant card often depicts a figure in a position of authority, such as a teacher or spiritual leader, holding a book or scroll. This symbolizes the accumulation of knowledge and the role of the scholar in disseminating information and preserving cultural heritage. As a scholar of folklore or history, The Hierophant reflects your commitment to understanding and uncovering the stories, beliefs, and traditions of the past. It signifies your role in interpreting and sharing this knowledge with others, providing insights into these narratives' historical and cultural significance. The Hierophant also represents the importance of structure and established systems of learning. It suggests that you approach your studies with discipline, respect for academic traditions, and a willingness to delve deep into the subject matter. Furthermore, The Hierophant encourages you to seek guidance from mentors or teachers who can impart their wisdom and experience. It emphasizes the value of learning from those who have dedicated their lives to studying folklore or history, allowing you to gain valuable insights and perspectives. The Hierophant represents my guest today, Ben Stimpson. Who Is Ben Stimpson? Ben Stimpson, BA (Hons), MBACP (He/They/Them) is an integrative therapist, spiritual director, author, podcaster, and independent scholar of folklore and history. The Eight of Swords represents my guest today on The Tarot Table. It typically depicts a woman blindfolded and bound, surrounded by eight swords forming a cage or barrier around her. The scene suggests a feeling of being trapped, restricted, or limited. The blindfold represents a lack of clarity or insight, indicating that the woman may be unaware of her options or the potential solutions to her predicament. The bound hands suggest a sense of powerlessness or feeling stuck. The swords surrounding her symbolize the mental and emotional barriers or challenges she perceives as obstacles to her freedom. The Eight of Swords often represents a state of self-imposed limitations, fear, or feeling trapped by one's thoughts or circumstances. It suggests a situation where one may feel helpless, overburdened, or unable to see a way forward. It can also signify a need to break free from self-imposed restrictions or negative thinking patterns. The card highlights the importance of examining one's beliefs, perceptions, and thoughts. It encourages the individual to consider whether the perceived limitations are genuine or simply a product of one's mindset. Shifting perspectives and challenging self-imposed restrictions can lead to liberation and empowerment. The Eight of Swords reminds us that true freedom and empowerment come from within. It encourages self-reflection, self-awareness, and the recognition of personal agency. Happy Pride Month, my Diamonds! As we celebrate love and diversity this June, I'd like to explore the topics of self-acceptance, sexual orientation and what it means to come out - especially in the later part of your life. Many people experience a 'late bloom', or what is also called Late Onset Lesbianism. Behind all of that, sexual orientation is on a spectrum, it's fluid and ever-changing. In this episode, we'll be discussing this concept and focusing on another Major Arcana card that ties beautifully into the theme of self-acceptance: The Hierophant. The Queen of Cups represents today's The Tarot Table guest. She is about emotional intelligence, intuition, and compassion. She is depicted as a regal figure sitting on a throne by the water, symbolizing her deep emotional connection and understanding. The Queen of Cups is empathetic. She is often described as a nurturing and caring mother figure. She embodies love, kindness, and understanding and is always there to support others emotionally. However, it is essential to note that the Queen of Cups also emphasizes self-care. She reminds us that to be a source of love and support for others, we must first take care of ourselves. This card encourages setting healthy boundaries, practicing self-care, and listening to our emotional needs. The Queen of Cups represents my guest today, Katie Farinas. Who Is Katie Farinas? Katie Farinas is a mom, seasoned nurse, yoga teacher, and host of the Mom On The Verge podcast. Katie has been passionate about health and wellness from a young age. However, after battling postpartum depression after the birth of her first child, becoming a chronic migraine sufferer in her mid 30's, and parenting a teenager with significant mental and physical health struggles, she was forced to examine the impact our mental health has on our physical health and how intimately those two things are connected. Taking a deep dive into the mind-body connection. Katie became a certified yoga teacher, a regular meditator, and a warrior for improving mental health. She believes in the power of authentically sharing our truth to help heal ourselves and others, the importance of community, and how love and compassion can spread outward like ripples in a pond to create a kinder, safer, and more equitable world. In this episode of So Divine!, Stephanie and Megan explore the celestial landscape for May. They start by discussing the Pluto station at the beginning of the month and how we may experienced an amplification of themes such as vying for control, power struggles, secrets revealed, and what lies beneath the surface. They talk about the two mid-mont cazimis--one involving Uranus and the other Jupiter--and why its important to stay open to new ideas and inspiration while also being careful about getting too far out over your skis. They discuss the lunations for the month, which include the sensual Taurus New Moon and social, expansive Sagittarius Full Moon. They talk about Jupiter shifting signs at month's end, from Taurus to Gemini, and what this could augur both personally and collectively. Stephanie pulls a tarot card at random--the Hierophant--and Megan explains how this archetype encourages us to share our wisdom with others as we consider our roles as spiritual beings in the world.
Happy Taurus Season This episode is our single card tarot forecast for April 19th - May 19th 2024. 1 card for the spirit in which to move through things….that turned into two. The Universe has spoken…. Lean into this episode to hear what the Universe wants us to lean into in this particular Pisces season….it's pure magic. Taurus is represented by The Hierophant in the Tarot. A hierophant is a person, who interprets sacred mysteries or esoteric principles. Traditionally it's a religious figure. Like a priest. In the Smith Rider Waite deck they are depicted seated on a throne between two pillars symbolizing Law and Freedom or obedience and disobedience. They're wearing a triple crown that symbolizes their spiritual superiority and authority via the emperor, also wearing a red cloak - that can symbolize power or bloodshed in the name of their beliefs, with the keys to Heaven are at their feet. Personally I love the keys because I feel like it's a wink from Hekate - Dark goddess - mother of all witches - saying YOU are the keys to heaven…you don't need this false gateway. YOU are the bridge between heaven and earth. This card offers us the message of the dangers of following the herd mentality, trying to fit in, doing what the masses are doing. It says to stay away from organized religion and corporations. Taurus, as an energy of the zodiac, offers us: The magic of loyalty, hard work, stability, and ambition Healing the wounds of the body, care, nourishment, support, worthiness, love, safety The power of setting your emotions aside (for a moment) to solve in practical ways The power of repetition for the long game The pleasure of pleasure The pleasure of being human The challenge of knowing when to be consistent vs. obstinate The challenge of not always going it alone A true balance of work and rest Want more Taurus insight: UnicornWellnessStudio.com members have an offering in their membership library - in the Astrology section - titled Zodiac Basics: Taurus Follow and DM on IG @tandy_gutierrez Get my Newsletter here. Welcome to the Tarot reading for March 2024. This is a reading for our world, especially those of us who live in the U.S. and the West. As I was thinking about questions to ask, it occurred to me that maybe I could devote the entire reading to questions about our financial future. The questions then came spontaneously, and as I pulled the cards, I decided we definitely needed to dive into the financial aspects of what we may be facing. There were more questions than usual, so let's begin. The questions were:What is happening with our financial system in the next month? What is the future of Bitcoin? What is the future of cryptocurrency in general? What do we need to know about the U.S. debt ceiling? What is the future of government in the U.S.?The cards drawn were:The Hierophant - #5 in the Major ArcanaTwo of PentaclesThree of Swords Eight of SwordsFive of Pentacles✅ Find Penny on:
