Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!NASCAR's season concluded at Phoenix International Raceway where it all came down to the championship 4 in which Joey Logano came out victorious! Nate and Shaun have a heated discussion about the outcome and what it means for the sport. We review some news and notes from various series as announcements for the upcoming 2025 racing seasons.Coming up this weekend: MotoGP is in Spain, Australian Supercars is at Adelaide, and the Super Trofeo World Finals are at Jerez.
NASCAR is headed to Phoenix for the championship finale but before that happens, Steve Letarte and the guys react to all the craziness that happened last weekend at Martinsville. Joey Logano, Tyler Reddick, Ryan Blaney and William Byron are racing for a championship, but that doesn't mean they are the four favorites according to the Professor. His model only has Blaney and Byron in Tier 1. The other drivers at the top are Christopher Bell, Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin. While Bell isn't racing for a championship the guys think he is the odds-on favorite to win.Reddick is the lowest driver of the Championship 4 contenders, sitting in Tier 3. Logano sits in Tier 2 but having two weeks to gameplan for this race could help him. However, Tampa Timms has his eyes on Logano and Reddick top-5 bet. The guys then guess what Vegas has for average finishing position for: Harrison Burton, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Daniel Suarez, Bubba Wallace, and Austin Cindric. The best bet on the board is a two-way bet. Bet Bubba top-10 at +250 and over average finishing position of 14.5.The guys also handicap the champ 4 for Xfinity and trucks. And, last but not least in the Degenerate 4 Pack this week is: Texas team total over 29.5 vs Florida Indiana -6.5 vs Michigan Eagles -6.5 vs Cowboys Lions -3.5 vs Texans For more content head to our YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@DirtyMoDough

The Polish Prince's Victory LapOn November 6, 1988, the air at Phoenix International Raceway crackled with excitement as Alan Kulwicki, the Polish Prince, tasted victory in his first NASCAR Winston Cup race. Adrenaline coursed through his veins like wildfire, fueling his daring decision to steer his car against the tide of the inaugural Checker 500. This bold act on that fateful autumn day breathed life into the now-famous Polish Victory Lap.A celebrated tradition in the world of auto racing, the Polish Victory Lap sees the triumphant driver defying convention and speeding around the track in reverse, checkered flag proudly waving like a battle standard outside their window. Kulwicki's Polish heritage lent itself to both his nickname and this unique celebration of victory.Kulwicki not only created that unforgettable victory dance, According to NASCAR lore, prior to the 1992 Hooters 500 (the final race of the season), Kulwicki got permission from Ford to change the "Thunderbird" lettering on his bumper to "Underbird," because he considered his team to be an underdog in the championship race. Despite breaking the first gear in his transmission during his first pit stop, Kulwicki employed a brilliant fuel-saving plan that helped him finish second in the race. With the great finish, Kulwicki capped off a six-race string that allowed him to overcome a 278-point deficit to capture the Winston Cup and made the Underbird part of NASCAR history.Tragically, in 1993, a light aircraft accident snatched Kulwicki away from the racing world. Though he never got to defend his 1992 Winston Cup Championship, his legacy as a successful NASCAR driver—including earning Rookie of the Year in 1986—remains immortalized through the exhilarating ritual of the Polish Victory Lap.www.nodrivinggloves.com#cars #car #collectorcars oldcars #cartalk #electriccars #ev #hotrod #carhistory #automotivehistory #automobile #thisdayinautomotivehistory #thisdayinhistory #classiccars #underbird #NASCAR #WinstonCup

Our guest today is Justin Randall. A former 2-tone-Mohawk wearing punk who has received a lifetime ban from all K-Mart stores, was once Woody Harrelson’s personal bodyguard, had an argument with Johnny Cash, then NITRO, (among others), has served time in jail, done a ton of drugs, and naturally- he repeatedly failed Math. Raise your hand if you can relate to any of these grand “achievements”? Justin has since earned his MBA, a BS in Computer Science and has built an amazing career as a transformational servant leader in the Fin-Tech vertical, working with some of the top fortune 100 and 500 companies on how to manage anxiety in uncertain times. How the heck did he do all that, especially having ADHD?! Even more, how does he continue to do that in 2020? True story folks. Enjoy! In his own words: I am a former 2-tone-Mohawk’d Skate/PUNK who has received a lifetime ban from ALL K-Mart stores in the USA, 3 lifetime bans from the Fiesta mall, and 5 lifetime bans from Mill AVE in downtown Tempe (Where I currently have an office)! For a VERY brief moment, I was Woody Harrelson’s personal bodyguard, had a misunderstanding with Johnny Cash that lead to him being allegedly pushed down a flight of stairs, initiated an impromptu flex off with American Gladiator “NITRO”, and Hungout Dee’BO (Tom Tiny Lister Jr) Kato Kaelin at Phoenix International Raceway. I am a survivor of a pretty ROUGH upbringing, filled with some extremely traumatic events, and have THRIVED by focusing on the FUN in the dysfunction. I am on a mission to tell my story and spread my message so as to reach others who are stuck in the darkness of depression, PTSD, fear, and anxiety. It's off to Phoenix International Raceway for this Sunday's Monster Energy Cup Series race and NASCAR weighs in on the Kyle Busch and Joey Logano fight. FOX's Marghiee Teshineh with "FOX in the Fast Lane": Martin Truex Jr. says NASCAR's west coast swing which includes this weekend's race in Phoenix, offers fans of the Denver based team a chance to see him race closer to home and it's fun for his crew as well: (Truex Jr.) "Anytime we race on the west coast or you know from Kansas west, I think it's a little bit of extra incentive for our guys and a little bit of pride." And Truex says the win at Las Vegas is a reflection of how the team has progressed: (Truex Jr.) "I think the important thing for us is we're starting off the season strong; we were putting ourselves in position to win races and that's really the key." Truex heads to Phoenix looking for back to back series wins, but will have to beat Kevin Harvick who has a career eight wins there. And NASCAR says no penalties or fines against Kyle Busch, Joey Logano or their teams for the post race fight at Las Vegas. NASCAR executive VP Steven O'Donnell says "we felt Sunday's post-race incident does not warrant any further action." I'm Marghiee Teshineh, FOX News.
