Holiday tournaments are in full swing, and we updated the brackets and then caught up with Springfield Public School Director of Athletics Josh Scott. He has been involved at the national level of athletic directing and we talk about that along with running premier tournaments. We then had the pleasure of being educated! Nebraska State Champion and top 1% ranked eSports player Allie Burnett joined us as we explored why eSports is the fastest growing sport in the country and world. She educated us on the attraction and addiction of eSports and why viewers cannot get enough! My thanks to Logan Weber, our producer for the night, as he chimed in on the power of gaming and its therapeutic abilities. Allie's specialty is Overwatch and she is the only female on her team and captain as a sophomore! She is a shot-caller, again, she educated us! You don't want to miss this! She paralleled the fundamentals and strategies of gaming to other sports and sold us on eSports and the benefits of gaming.
Let's talk about how Dark Horse Comics went from referring to Scott Allie's tendency to bite others as a joke to finally being forced to take appropriate disciplinary action. Why was he allowed to continue in his job for so long when his bad behavior was so well known in the industry? Articles Used: 1. Twitter Feed of @ShawnaGore 2. It's a problem that has been going on for decades, and Dark Horse Comics even had one of the worst perpetrators, Scott Allie, in power as Editor-in-Chief before there was any kind of a reckoning, This calls for top-to-bottom regime replacement, to make workplaces safe. There's no excuse for this. And that's just one of many stories, which span across publishers and all the way to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund! Also, yesterday we lost another comics legend: RIP legendary inker Joe Sinnott, best known as the embellisher of Jack Kirby's pencil work. And, Doom Patrol is back with season 2! He tells us all about how in love with folklore he was, that he moved to Japan to study more!! Zack is an "award winning translator, writer, and scholar of Japanese folklore and ghosts!!
