In this episode, Susan Kennedy, Chairman and CEO of Cadiz, Inc., discusses the company's mission to expand safe, reliable water access through innovative water management and conservation. Cadiz is focused on building infrastructure, such as a pipeline connecting their wellfield to the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California's Colorado River Aqueduct, storing surplus water underground, and treating water to remove harmful contaminants. Susan highlights partnerships like the one with the Farmworkers Institute of Education to install clean water filtration systems in underserved communities and shares the company's agricultural efforts in the Cadiz Valley. She also emphasizes how Cadiz's groundwater storage bank can supply water to areas like the Salton Sea and asserts that Southern California's drought concerns could be mitigated by utilizing millions of acre-feet of underground water in the Mojave Desert. Dr. Sandie Moegan is joined by Anabel Martinez as the two discuss labor trafficking and forced criminality. Anabel Martinez Anabel Martinez currently works as a Senior Policy Counsel for the Sunita Jain Anti-Trafficking Initiative at Loyola Law School. She is a committed social justice policy advocacy professional, with over a decade of experience in advocating for marginalized communities through direct legal services and using trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices. Anabel Martinez transitioned to public policy advocacy to seek system changes that are intersectional and inclusive. She's highly skilled at looking at real-world issues from a nuanced, analytical lens that aids in the development of comprehensive and equitable policies. Main Points Labor trafficking by forced criminality involves individuals being coerced into performing illegal activities as their form of labor. This can include tasks like drug cultivation, shoplifting, or other illegal acts. The labor they are forced to do is illegal according to local laws. Anabel emphasizes the need for better systems to support youth who are trafficked into forced criminality. Many young people in juvenile detention may be victims of LTFC but are not always recognized as such. This misidentification can lead to punitive measures rather than supportive interventions. There are similarities between the experiences of child soldiers and youth involved in gangs or forced into criminal activities. Both groups often join or are coerced into their situations due to a lack of options and are subjected to severe coercion and manipulation. Immigrant youth, particularly those from Latin America or Central America, face heightened risks of being trafficked for criminal activities. There is a need for improved recognition and support systems for these vulnerable youth, who may be caught between the juvenile justice system and immigration proceedings. Effective screening tools for identifying labor trafficking by forced criminality are currently lacking. Anabel highlights the importance of training and tools for professionals who interact with youth, such as those in juvenile justice and social services, to better identify and support victims of labor trafficking by forced criminality. She also underscores the need for more data to understand and address these issues comprehensively. Guest Susan Kennedy Panelists Richard Littauer | Eriol Fox Show Notes In this episode, hosts Richard Littauer and Eriol Fox chat with Susan Kennedy, a program manager at the Open Technology Fund (OTF), to explore the intricacies of sustaining open source technologies. OTF, a nonprofit organization, plays a vital role in promoting internet freedom in oppressive regimes by supporting the development of anti-censorship and anti-surveillance technologies. Funded by the U.S. Congress but operating independently, OTF aids in navigating the challenges attached to open source project sustainability and maintenance. Susan outlines OTF's fund mechanism, highlighting its commitment to supporting open source projects that are pivotal for internet freedom. Also, the episode shines a light on the newly initiated FOSS Sustainability Fund by OTF, designed to specifically address the financial and logistical hurdles facing open source technologies today. Press download to hear more! [00:01:41] Susan explains the OTF's role as a non-profit promoting internet freedom through anti-censorship and anti-surveillance technologies, mainly funded by the U.S. government but operates independently. [00:02:37] There's a comparison of OTF to Germany's Sovereign Tech Fund, emphasizing differences in funding despite both being government funded. [00:03:51] There's a discussion on how OTF funds projects like Signal despite potential congressional controversies. [00:04:15] Susan introduces the FOSS Sustainability Fund aimed at supporting open source technologies for internet freedom. [00:06:15] Susan gives details on the scale of the FOSS Sustainability Fund, mentioning financial contributions from other private donors alongside U.S. government funds. [00:07:34] We find out the details of eligibility criteria for FOSS Sustainability Fund applicants, as Susan emphasizes projects with a track record and active community engagement. [00:09:00] Susan discusses the outcomes from the pilot funding round, focusing on the importance of community meetings and interaction. Also, she talks about exploration of sustainability as a lifecycle, including potential sunsetting of projects, emphasizing that sustainability might look different for each project. [00:13:17] Susan talks about exploration of sustainability as a lifecycle, including potential sunsetting of projects, emphasizing that sustainability might look different for each project. [00:15:19] Richard questions the approach of funding projects that are charismatic and grant-savvy, instead of focusing on lesser-known but critical projects, questioning the open application process. Susan defends the open application process of the Internet Freedom Fund, explaining it allows for a broader reach and inclusivity, ensuring opportunities for lesser-known projects to apply. [00:17:06] Richard asks if a small, unrelated project like ‘right pad' used by major projects can apply, leading to a broader discussion on the relevance of small projects within significant tools. Susan responds by focusing on the end-users' needs, emphasizing the importance of even small projects if they are critical to larger tools like Tails. [00:18:51] Susan highlights the two-phase application process designed to guide applicants efficiently, providing feedback and advice on project fit and impact, and she describes the iterative application process. [00:19:51] Eriol discusses the advisory aspect of OTF's application process, noting the interaction and intention of their approach which aids applicants in refining their proposals. They raise concerns about projects using sustainability funds to tackle debt and asks how OTF views the alignment of tech debt resolution with user-centric sustainability. [00:21:34] Susan elaborates on distinguishing between tech debt and sustainability, advocating for a balanced approach that includes both technical fixes and enhancements in user engagement and governance. She stresses the importance of having user feedback mechanisms and long-term strategic planning as part of sustainable development, derived from consultations with funded projects. [00:23:36] We learn about OTF's lab services, which support projects beyond funding, in areas like security, usability, design, and communication, enhancing the holistic support structure for open source sustainability. [00:26:44] Richard asks if there are expectations for funded projects to help guide their peers toward more sustainable practices. Susan explains that while OTF shares a list of alternate funding sources with applicants, the field remains underfunded, and stresses the importance of sharing learning publicly to help educate other funders and enhance funding efforts. [00:28:07] Richard questions if there are requirements for projects to support their dependencies or the broader ecosystem. Susan clarifies that while there's no mandate for projects to fund their dependencies, OTF looks for projects that consider and support their dependencies as part of their roadmap. [00:28:31] What is Susan's long-term vision for the fund? She wishes for significantly more funding to support a greater number of projects and hopes for netter coordination among funders and an increased focus on essential aspects of sustainability. Cadiz Inc CEO Susan Kennedy joined Steve Darling from Proactive to to discuss the company's remarkable evolution and advancements in water management strategies. Initially established around two decades ago with a focus on leveraging land and water assets for public storage, Cadiz Inc. has since transformed into a prominent player in the global water industry. Today, the company oversees a portfolio of water assets valued at over $5 billion and aims to emerge as the largest water trading bank in the southwestern United States. Central to Cadiz Inc.'s operations is its ownership of a vast aquifer system located in the eastern Mojave Desert. This aquifer, estimated to hold between 30 to 50 million acre feet of water—more than double the capacity of Lake Mead, serves as a crucial but complex water resource, situated hundreds of feet underground. Kennedy underscored the ongoing challenges posed by climate change, particularly the diminishing snowpack, a traditional source of water replenishment. In response, Cadiz Inc. has adapted by acquiring strategic infrastructure such as pipelines and right-of-ways, enabling efficient management and transportation of its substantial water resources. Moreover, the company has successfully navigated through extensive regulatory processes and litigations, positioning itself for significant public partnerships and infrastructure projects. These initiatives are geared towards bolstering water security and addressing the escalating demand for resilient water management solutions in the face of climate variability. Cadiz Inc.'s transformation underscores its commitment to innovative water management practices, aiming to meet the evolving needs of communities while mitigating the impacts of climate change on water resources. #proactiveinvestors #cadizinc #nasdaq #cdzi #water #WaterManagement, #SusanKennedy, #SustainableDevelopment, #ClimateChange, #Infrastructure, #MojaveDesert, #Aquifer, #WaterAssets, #PublicPartnerships, #EnvironmentalResilience, #WaterTrading, #UtilitySector, #RegulatoryChallenges, #WaterSupply, #WaterSecurity, #Groundwater, #WaterPolicy, #WaterConservation, #ResourceManagement, #ClimateAction #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews
Dr. Sandie Morgan looks back on episode #208: The Intersection of Children's Rights and Combating Human Trafficking, with Rabbi Diana Gerson. Rabbi Diana Gerson Rabbi Diana Gerson is the associate executive vice president of the New York Board of Rabbis. She has been a leading advocate with the New York Board of Rabbis role in confronting family violence, sexual abuse, and the exploitation of children by reaching across faith communities. Rabbi Gerson has developed programs for the New York City's mayor's office to combat domestic violence and has provided prevention education to thousands of community leaders and clergy, whose roles she considers critical to ending sexual exploitation and all forms of violence against children. In addition, she also serves on the international steering committee for the interfaith forum on child dignity in the digital world. She received her master's degree and rabbinic ordination in 2001 from the Hebrew Union College Jewish Institute of Religion in New York City. Diana, we're so glad to welcome you to the show. Key Points One of the largest initiatives globally is the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which was written and ratified by the United Nations in 1989. This is the most widely ratified human rights treaty in the history of our global society, yet the only country who has not ratified this document to date is the United States. We need to be mindful of the images we share of our children, because they are susceptible to becoming child abuse material. The whole community, not just parents, has to be aware of the risks and the behaviors of people that might take advantage of their position. For every one adult that has training, at least ten children are safer in their communities. I am fortunate to work with Pat Flanagan. We have a process together of writing and checking each other's facts. Since she's on the board of Morongo Basin Conservation Assn., and a scientist, she has a history with the Cadiz Inc. water marketing scheme and it's new CEO, Susan Kennedy, former Chief of Staff to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and has followed it all since the beginning. We recorded two episodes: 1. Water and Power And 2. Sucking California Dry The second is about Cadiz primarily but questions California's commitment to and implementation of the 30X30 Biodiversity policy mandate in light of the water harvesting and marketing. We compare Cadiz with the enlargement of Pacheco Reservoir by China in anticipation of having water rights and potentially water sales to China and/or elsewhere. “Water and Power” tackles 10 years of solar development in the desert and its ever expanding water usage profile in addition to a compare and contrast with the Cadiz Inc. operation, examples of encroachment and settler disruption of Indigenous cultural norms and practices.

Dr. Sandie Morgan is joined by Susan Kennedy as the two discuss the importance of keeping our children safe online. Susan Kennedy Susan Kennedy joined the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in 2018. At NCMEC, Susan leads NCMEC's prevention, outreach, training, and partnership programs. Previously Susan was the Director of Programs at the Center for Alexandria's Children where she conducted child forensic interviews, coordinated the Child Advocacy Center program, and oversaw a community-based primary prevention program for children aged zero to five and their caregivers. She earned her Bachelors' degree in Psychology from The College of William & Mary and a Master of Education degree in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University. Key Points The National Center for Missing and Exploited children is the nation's largest and most influential child protection program, and creates vital resources for children and those who keep them safe. In 2023, NCMEC's Cyber Tip Line received 36.2 million reports of suspected child exploitation. Reports of online enticements have almost doubled from 2022 to 2023, observing an increase of more than 300% from 2021 to 2023. An important part of the policy agenda is to equip local, state, and national agencies with equivalent technology that has enabled offenders. There has been a shift in sextortion where now, offenders target teenage boys and are financially motivated. Susan Kennedy 1:39 Yes, thank you so much for having me, and I'm excited to talk about all the things we have to talk about today. Sandra Morgan 1:44 Well, let's talk first about NCMEC, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and the strengthened value of being a public-private partnership with the FBI. Susan Kennedy 1:59 Sure, so NCMEC, for those of you who may not be familiar, the National Center for Missing Exploited Children, is the nation's largest and most influential child protection organization. We really see ourselves as leading the fight to protect children, creating vital resources for them, and for the people who keep them safe. So we're going to talk about a range of issues today. I think most relevant probably for our conversation, is the work that we do around the cyber tip line. So receiving reports of child sexual exploitation online, as well as providing services for victims, for law enforcement, including the FBI, as you mentioned, around child sex trafficking cases as well. So we are a nonprofit, but we have very strong work and partnerships with law enforcement agencies, like the FBI, but also other federal agencies, and local law enforcement. Really, that's because what we do is we are receiving information from the public,

We discuss the trail's creation and the process and then begin on its eastern end in Racine with a look at the SC Johnson Wax headquarters building and the 9-story Johnson Wax Research Tower on the SC Johnson campus just south of downtown Racine. We proceed north to Wind Point to Wingspread, once the Johnson family home and now host to numerous events and tours. The trail heads into Milwaukee to the Burnham Block, a prime example of Wright's American System-Built Homes concept that he pursued with a goal of making quality single family homes more affordable. We veered slightly off the official trail to explore the Greek Annunciation Church, a Wright-designed church that was one of his last commissions; it opened in the early 1960s. From Milwaukee we make a beeline to Madison for two stops: the first is Monona Terrace, Madison's major convention center on the shores of Lake Monona. Designed by Wright in the 1940s, one of his next generation students made the design adjustments that allowed Monona Terrace to be constructed and finally opened in 1997. The second Madison stop is the First Unitarian Society Meeting House on the west side of the UW-Madison campus and was for a church Wright attended. From Madison we head west on U.S. 14 to Spring Green and explore the area where Wright lived. His home just south of Spring Green, Taliesin, is by far the most popular site on the trail; tours of Taliesin and tales of its remarkable history bring in people from around the world. Wright's influence can be seen in Spring Green itself, with numerous buildings adopting his styles. Taliesin looks over the beautiful Wyoming Valley, where another one of Wright's buildings was constructed as the Wyoming Valley School Cultural Arts Center, which was the only public elementary school Wright designed - and he donated the school and his work for free, in honor of his mother. The final stop on the Frank Lloyd Wright Trail is further west to his birthplace of Richland Center, where the A.D. German Warehouse stands. Wright's only warehouse design is a four-story brick structure topped by a magnificent concrete frieze that is said to resemble a Mayan temple. The warehouse is an example of early poured-concrete construction, and the building rests on a pad of cork for stability and shock absorption. It is the only remaining commercial structure designed by Wright that still exists from his “organic” or “natural” period. Each of these structures tells a story and, while only 9 of Wright's 200 Wisconsin works, represent some of his most notable. Along the 200-mile trail are a bevy of cities, towns, parks, and other locations to grab a bite, go for a hike, take advantage of lakes and rivers or just cruise from stop to stop. The Frank Lloyd Trail may be a hidden gem for many, but it showcases some world-famous works and should be on your road trip and exploration list. You can get more details on each designated stop at FrankLloydWrightTrail.org.Susan also discussed with Eric and Ana the new exhibit that recently opened in Madison's Dane County Regional Airport's Art Court: “The Frank Lloyd Wright Trail: Places to Live, Learn, Work, and Worship.” This area, open to the public, is in the main lobby of the airport and will run through January 28, 2024. In Episode 32 we interviewed Yaima Chirino, a Behavioral Health Case Manager and one of my best friends. She has a background in Criminal Justice and Mental Health. Infuse those with a passionate empath walking in her purpose and you have a heartfelt episode. I'm sorry ya, 2 tear jerking episodes in the same month. Between Episode 30 with Susan Kennedy and this week's Episode 32, it may feel like you're cutting onions. (insert sobbing and sniffles effect) But seriously, tonight was quite a representation of our theme Community. Yaima shared her experiences visiting juvenile detention centers, dealing with rebellious young teens and how each child has a real story. One story in particular had the audience and myself included holding back the tears. Yaima displayed her transparency, her passion for kids, her willingness to understand, her commitment to her purpose and her genuine love of impacting her Community. Let's listen in. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/blazethelion/support
In Episode 30 we spoke with Susan Kennedy, founder of Bullets 4 Life. This is an organization that is heavily involved in the streets. Their focus...stopping gun violence in our communities. Their motto, "donate a bullet, save a life". They make bracelets and necklaces from the bullets that are donated along with beads and gems. We spoke to Susan about how this passion for starting this organization and movement first started. It was truly evident listening to Susan that this is her passion. From talking to kids at schools affected by gun violence to even helping families with funeral arrangements, Susan is hands-on. The movement has spread originating from Miami into other Bullets 4 Life chapters nationwide. They even have a Bullets 4 Life anthem written and performed by ICESQUAD. Susan is definitely a world changer, a woman walking in her purpose and making a difference in COMMUNITIES. In this episode: Emily's conversation with Susan Kennedy, the founder of Advanced Microgrid Solutions. AMS created a platform for managing battery storage across buildings, turning them into virtual power plants. The company raised $34 million from a “who's who” of strategic investors—and was eventually acquired by the battery developer Fluence. This conversation was recorded in 2018 in front of a live audience at Powerhouse's headquarters in Oakland, CA. At CEE, we think a lot about good teaching. This is the second episode in our 2021 Teaching Series. Susan Kennedy is a postdoctoral fellow in philosophy at Harvard University, where she works with the Embedded EthiCS team to integrate ethical reasoning into the computer science curriculum. In this episode, Susan talks about teaching non-canonical texts, using games to teach feminist critiques of social contract theory, teaching students how to conference, and offers some advice for teaching STEM students. Susan says: "I think their interest just goes through the roof when you can present the material in an interactive and engaging way, as opposed to just having a lesson plan, where I'm, you know, lecturing about feminist critiques or something like that." If you'd like to learn more about the simulation or the conference guide, Susan invites you to contact her: https://www.susan-kennedy.com/ Episode transcript How do you engage your philosophy students? With Harry and Meghan in the headlines this week - and the Royal Family copping all sorts of heat - we thought it was a good time to stick the boot in by revisiting the Republic debate. In 1999, Australia had the opportunity to formally cut the apron strings with Mother England. But in one of our greatest ever cuck moves, we voted "no" in the Australian Republic referendum, and since then we've pretty much forgotten about it.Firstly, do we even want this? Secondly, if we were to take the bold leap from being a "Constitutional Monarchy" to a Republic, who would we choose as an Australian Head of State? Greg Norman? Shane Warne? Susan Kennedy from Neighbours?Surely anything is better than Prince Charles, a bloke who literally travels around the world with his own white leather toilet seat.Spicy stings courtesy of audio producer Tim "T-Dog" Eldridge, with graphic design courtesy of Julia Edwards.Follow/engage/send episode ideas to us here:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/haveagopodcast/FB: https://www.facebook.com/HaveaGoPodcastEmail: haveagopodcast@gmail.comSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Soccer Complex proposal is dead. It’s a time to celebrate this win, ponder the future and learn from the past (because we as a community did a kick-ass job of blocking this massive, completely inappropriate complex from being built in our rural residential area). So, the podcast crew of, Matt, Jillian, Kristen and our fourth leg of the stool, Susan Kennedy are here to break down everything that happened from the beginning of the proposal to now (August 2020). Welcome to Season 2, episode 7 of the Jupiter Farms Residents Podcast. This month, joining Matt, Jillian and Kristen is the unstoppable Susan Kennedy. She guides us through all the history surrounding, saving and protecting the environmental resources with our amazing guests Commissioner Karen Marcus and Rob Robbins the former director of the Palm Beach County Department of Environmental Resources Management (ERM). We wanted them to come on to discuss some of Jupiter Farms environmental resource issues. In all of Susan’s time fighting for the land protections to keep Jupiter Farms’ character she realized that all those issues were tied to water management issues. You can’t separate the two. 04:49 – Rob and Karen explain some of the protections they have historically (in the 2000’s) worked on and the current issues that demand our attention and efforts. 12:50 – We get into how people like Karen, Susan and Rob were able to communicate the problem to local officials and to actually get the funding to solve the issues of the day. 17:37 – While the work 20 years ago was significant, there is a lot more to do. 23:20 – The wet season is getting wetter and the dry season is getting drier – what needs to be done to make sure we have fresh drinking water all year long (and protections against sea level rise). 33:49 – Where does the 20-year, $150-million bond to support environmental projects stand as of now?38:29 – Why it’s important to have a county-wide perspective on water/land issues even if you care mostly about what happens in Jupiter Farms. 42:21 – If we want to improve our water quality, we can’t rely on the Federal Government – we have to act locally. Welcome to another episode of the Jupiter Farms Residents Podcast! This week the marvelous Susan Kennedy joins the regular group of Matt, Jillian and Kristen and we have a very special guest, former Palm Beach County Commissioner of District 1 Karen Marcus. 02:06 – If you appreciate all the natural wildlands and accessible beaches near the Farms, Karen is one of the main people you should thank for protecting them. Karen was originally elected to the commission in 1984.05:31 – The bond program and the comprehensive plan were two key elements Karen helped implement to protect The Farms. Many of the lands we take for granted that are protected were purchased by the county under Karen’s watch. Places including Loxahatchee Slough were protected instead of putting Florida Atlantic University out there. 11:44 – How “protected” are the wildlands surrounding Jupiter Farms? Can development still threaten the character of our area? 18:56 – Is there anything that can be done to educate County Commissioners on the unique nature and characteristics of Jupiter Farms? 20:35 - Karen is proud to be a part of getting Scripps Research in the Jupiter area.22:33 – The greatest challenges facing the North County right now are… 24:12- Karen explains why Jupiter Farms was designated as a “rural tier” 25:12 – Karen weighs in on the Soccer Complex battle and what must be done to protect against it.28:28 – Karen has decided to come out of retirement and run for her old seat for a very good reason. The election is August 18th. 34:39 – Karen talks about the importance of going out and experiencing the lands the county considers purchasing. 38:16 – Beach preservation has been a major issue for Karen and she sees it as a big issue going forward.Support the show (http://www.jupiterfarmsresidents.com/donate-to-jfr/)

We take a deep dive into the Soccer Complex being proposed at the corner of Indiantown and Rocky Pines. With us to share her institutional knowledge is Susan Kennedy of the Jupiter Farms Environmental Council and the JFR Advisory Board. This Soccer complex is massive folks, way denser than any other “park” in the county. We go through the proposed complex, break down the land use and zoning code and explain why this particular proposal has no business being developed in Jupiter Farms. THANK YOU, to the over 350 residents who came out last month to voice your opinion on the proposal. It was needed then and will be needed again in April, culminating at the Board of County Commissioners meeting on April 29th.We also get into the history of Jupiter Farms development and explain why our land use and zoning rules are in place and why it is so important that we not allow our RR10 [Rural Residential 10 (1 housing unit per 10 acres)] and Ag RSA status to be altered. That’s not even mentioning how our work is intended to preserve the natural lands and parks surrounding Jupiter Farms. 10:05 – This area has historically always been an agricultural-based community and since the 1980’s we’ve fought to keep it that way.19:02 – A Commercial Recreational proposal has come to town that would require major land use rule changes for it to be built. Unlike everything else in JF this proposal does not have an agricultural intent behind it. 24:24 – What if the County Commission okays the Soccer Complex proposal? What would happen next? What if it is actually built, would that open the flood gates of commercial construction on Indiantown Road?39:49 – Other projects have gotten in that JFR opposed – we fought them tooth and nail but sometimes, especially if the community hasn’t come out in force inappropriate things get through. 42:45 - Thanks to Susan Kennedy and others who came out using their institutional knowledge to benefit and preserve Jupiter Farms. 45:00 – COMMUNITY CALENDAR: JFR’s Monthly Meeting happens February 11th , 2 Talkin’ Trash Cleanups this leap month on February 1st and February 29th both at 8am, SIRWCD Meeting on February 20thand remember our third annual JFR Shootout is on February 8thSupport the show (http://www.jupiterfarmsresidents.com/donate-to-jfr/)

In eras past the value of fasting was accepted, people knew how to do it and it was assumed that if you believed you fasted. Today, unfortunately thats not the case! Most of us don't know how to go about a spiritual fast, and we're not sure why we should or even that we need too. But fasting places us in a position to receive God's grace and allows us to go deeper. In this week's message Susan Kennedy continues our series with teaching on the spiritual discipline of fasting.. . .Reflection Questions- Does my heart long for a deeper relationship with God?- Do I take spiritual discipline personally and seriously?- Should fasting be a discipline that I practice?Challenge- Fast one meal a week for the rest of the month and use that time to focus on God.Scripture- John 4:24- Hebrews 11:6- Matthew 6:16-18
The pursuit of happiness is said to be the universal pursuit, but is lasting happiness even attainable? In Matthew 5:4 Jesus said, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” But can the unhappy truly become happy? In this week's message Susan Kennedy continues our series with teaching Matthew 5:4 on those who mourn.. . .Reflection Questions- Have I been depending on happiness from the people around me, from my career or from outside activities instead of on God?- Am I a true disciple? Am I willing to follow Christ in all areas of my life?- Do I have unchecked sin in my life? A wrong that I've been ignoring?Scripture- Matthew 5:1-2- Matthew 5:3- Matthew 5:4
Se dice que la búsqueda de la felicidad es una búsqueda universal, pero ¿es alcanzable la felicidad duradera? En Mateo 5:4 Jesús dice “Dichosos los que lloran, porque serán consolados”.
