First communion! A conservative town! An old doll! This week the boys take some drugs at a nightclub only to be haunted by THE COMMUNION GIRL!! The Communion Girl is a ghost story set in the 80s. It draws inspiration from many other horror, suspense movies. Set in Spain, it was refreshing to see horror movies set outside of the United Sates. But is The Communion Girl successful or filled with cliches? So no TV Corner but we are checking out an episode from the series Atlanta, titled "Teddy Perkins" from Season 2. John Browner is back to talk Atlanta and man do we have a lot to talk about. Episode 4 alone is worth a month's conversation. Was it "Teddy Perkins" for white people? We have a discussion only the two of us could have with each other.
George just escaped from a mansion where just had Fiji mixed with Evian with some Poland Spring and ate a soft-boiled ostrich egg with some weird ass dude. He's here to tell you all about it.

Listen as Ed describes the camera technique that keep this a horror classic and Jason explains how the story entertains and tackles interesting questions about parental influence, racial identity and the isolation of fame. Do you think this holds up as a modern horror gem or is Jason blinded by his love for Stephen Glover's writing?

As the brainchild of renaissance man Donald Glover, the hit TV show Atlanta quickly cemented itself as one of the most unique modern series on television. Based in Atlanta, Earn (played by Glover) reconnects with his cousin Alfred (played by Brian Tyree Henry) after he makes a local hit song and attempts to be his manager. LaKeith Stanfield also stars as Darius, Alfred’s right-hand, and Zazie Beetz plays Van, a struggling single mother. The FX series is created by Donald Glover, who also produces, writes, stars, and directs in it. In its 2 seasons, the show is already critically acclaimed raking in 80 nominations and winning an Emmy and a Golden Globe in the process. Joan explores why the show nails its unorthodox tone and manages to disarm viewers on a weekly basis with a blend of “surreal realism” with two very special guests in Jack Sommer and Kev De Los Santos (founders of Cesspool)! As always, no spoilers!
On this episode of The Do Post, my friend Isaac and I talk about one of our favorite shows, Atlanta. Atlanta is created by Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino. It is a critically acclaimed show from FX, known for its variety in storytelling. We decided to talk about the episodes "Value" and "Teddy Perkins" as we felt that they provide a stark contrast and display the true "variety" of this show.
Nick and Jared talk the 6th episode of the 2nd season of Donald Glover's award winning show Atlanta. Something weird is going on, and Darius is caught up. U Mad?

We’re back with another N+N episode! This time we’re all abuzz about the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards which aired earlier this week. On the real, this year’s Emmys were a bit of a snooze but there were still some fun moments — The Fonz! Betty White! Teddy Perkins! — and we dive into each of them. We also talk about some of the new, diverse shows slated for this Fall season. We sound our Airhorn Salute for the one and only Regina King who won her third Emmy for her starring role on Netflix’s Seven Seconds.
This week, we're recapping everything that happened at the Emmys. Reporter Yvonne Villarreal (@villarrealy) and TV critics Lorraine Ali (@LorraineAli) and Glenn Whipp (@GlennWhipp) join host Mark Olsen (@IndieFocus) to break down the surprises and disappointments, the performances of this year's hosts, and the unexpected visit from Teddy Perkins.
Chris Arnsby joins Jeremy to discuss Michael Jackson's musical anthology thing Moonwalker, as they try to decide whether it's a real movie, and touch on such subjects as Bob Mortimer, Teddy Perkins, Joss Whedon's sister-in-law and which member of the Mary Poppins cast died first.

In gossip news women of a certain age are horny for brain pill salesman Alex Jones and for the newest member of Trump’s legal team, the decaying husk Rudy Giuliani. In terrible takes we wade through nauseating sendoffs to Paul Ryan and appraise the self worshiping book tour of former FBI director James Comey. In the pop culture corner we discuss the acclaimed Teddy Perkins episode of Atlanta, Dennis Miller’s fall from Weekend Update to Breitbart News, and the most underrated Coen Brothers movie A Serious Man. We slid down several walls after watching this. Several. Trauma is spelled w-h-I-t-e-f-a-c-e, as in Donald Glover, please don't do that ish no more. For serious. #Shook
SPOILERS! Do you ever get the feeling stuff like this always happens to Darius? Yeah, us too.
50 episodes!!!! FIFTY SON!!! To celebrate, directors Mtume Gant (SPIT, WHITEFACE) and Shaka King (NEWLYWEEDS, MULIGNANS, LAZERCISM) came by to talk about movies. We did talk about movies, but we also talked a lot about rap music and the most recent episode of Atlanta, "Teddy Perkins". Atlanta is a popular award winning show airing on FX and created by Donald Glover. This episode was met with a lot of praise. Does the aforementioned Episode actively borrow from Gant's "Whiteface"? Is it collective unconscious? We had opinions. Like most episodes, we go a lot of places, and we want to thank our loyal listener for sticking with us on this journey. We hope for 100s more episodes. Suicide was talked about. If you are ever having thoughts or ideations, you are love. Never think twice to reach out in dm to our twitter @zebraspod for support.
