The advocacy group Citizens for Justice and Peace has filed petitions against such laws since 2020.  Twelve out of India's 28 states have anti-conversion laws. International Christian Concern warns of a “pattern of abuse by Hindu radical groups, who use the laws to initiate false complaints and pressure law enforcement to act against individual Christians and their communities, often without credible evidence.” U.S. military presence in Syria cut in half The United States is preparing to cut its military presence in Syria by half over the coming months. The U.S. military has about 2,000 troops in the Middle Eastern country.  Sean Parnell, the chief spokesman for the Pentagon, said, “Recognizing the success the United States has had against ISIS, including its 2019 territorial defeat under President Trump, today the Secretary of Defense directed the consolidation of U.S. forces in Syria under Combined Joint Task Force.” Trump: 145% tariff on Chinese goods will come down On Tuesday, President Donald Trump said that his 145% tariff on imports from China will likely come down. TRUMP:  145% is very high. It won't be that high. We were talking about fentanyl, where various elements built it up to 145%. No, it won't be anywhere near that high. But it won't be zero. Used to be zero. “We were just destroyed. China was taking us for a ride, and it's not going to happen. We're going to be very good to China. Have a great relationship with President Xi. But they would make billions and billions and billions of dollars a year, and they would build their military out of the United States, and what they made. So that won't happen, but they're going to do very well.” White House spokesman Kush Desai told FOX Business that the U.S. is not looking to unilaterally lower tariffs and that China must a agree to a trade deal.  Trump's Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias meets On Tuesday, Trump administration officials held the inaugural meeting of the Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias in the federal government. Attorney General Pamela Bondi hosted the meeting. BONDI:  “As President Trump has stated, the Biden administration engaged in an egregious pattern of targeting peaceful Christians while ignoring violent, anti-Christian offenses. The President is right. “Biden's Department of Justice abused and targeted Christians. Pro-life Christians were arrested and imprisoned for peacefully praying outside abortion clinics. The FBI spied on traditional Catholics in their parishes. President Biden declared Easter Sunday to be Transgender Day of Visibility. No longer.” Romans 13:3 says, “For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same.” 5 million student loan borrowers who stopped paying need to start again The U.S. Department of Education announced Monday that it will resume collections of defaulted federal student loans. The Department has not collected on such loans since 2020. Currently, over 42 million borrowers owe more than $1.6 trillion in student debt. And over five million borrowers have not made a monthly payment in the last three years. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon said, “American taxpayers will no longer be forced to serve as collateral for irresponsible student loan policies.” Notorious abortionist closes Colorado abortion mill The oldest and most notorious abortionist in Colorado announced he is closing his abortion mill. Warren Hern, age 86, opened the Boulder Abortion Clinic in 1975, killing thousands of unborn babies since then. In an interview with Channel 9 in Denver two years ago, Hern described his work of killing babies this way. HERN: “I have always felt this is an extremely important service, and there's never been a time when it's less important.” But you get a fuller appreciation of the mindset of abortionist Hern from a speech he gave via video at a Boulder pro-abortion march on July 9, 2022, just days after Roe v. Wade had been overturned on June 22, 2022. HERN: “The Republican Party is the face of fascism in America. Fox News is the voice of fascism in America. The ideology of this fascism is rooted in the white supremacist, Christian nationalist movement that has taken control of the Republican Party. “Your response to this mortal danger to women and to democracy in America must be to support every Democratic candidate for public office and to defeat every single Republican candidate for public office. Nothing else will do.” Troy Newman with Operation Rescue commented on the closure. He said, “Operation Rescue has some thirty years of history with this clinic – everything from activism on the sidewalk, documenting abortion injuries, filing complaints, and other legal efforts to expose wrongdoing. … We cannot praise God enough for the closure of this monstrous killing center.” Proverbs 10:6-7 says, “Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked. The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot.” Definition of a regular churchgoer A recent study from Lifeway Research found 53% of U.S. adults consider someone a regular churchgoer if they attend services at least weekly. A previous study found a similar amount of Protestant churchgoers agree. However, only 16% of Protestant pastors say that regular churchgoers attend at least once a week. Scott McConnell, executive director of Lifeway Research, noted, “Pastors … are seeing churchgoers attend less often. But when Americans hear ‘regular churchgoer,' they picture someone attending every week or very close to it.” 18.6 million engaged with YouVersion Bible on Resurrection Sunday And finally, the YouVersion Bible app saw a record 18.6 million people engaging with Scripture on Resurrection Sunday this year. That's up 11% compared to last year. Leading up to Resurrection Sunday, Bible engagement increased by over 20% across Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus (Adam@TheWorldview.com) Colorado school kept parents in the dark over gender identity rooming scheme In June 2023, Jefferson County, Colorado Public Schools sponsored an overnight trip for fifth-grade students to Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. Serena and Joe Wailes had a daughter in fifth grade who attended the trip. They were assured in multiple parent meetings, leading up to the trip, that male and female students would be staying not only in different hotel rooms, but also on completely different floors. And they were told that their daughter would room with three other girls. However, their daughter learned that her bedmate was a boy, pretending to be a girl, from another school, reports Alliance Defending Freedom. Genesis 1:27 says, “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” When the 11-year-old girl expressed her concern, the chaperones, consistent with wacky public school district policy, told her to lie about the reason and say she needed to switch beds to be closer to the air conditioner. When the boy said he too wanted to be closer to the air conditioner, the girl again expressed her dissatisfaction and was finally moved to a new room with only one other biological girl under the false premise that the other girl was sick and needed more space. Throughout all the events of the night, the Colorado public school chaperones were required to follow the inane district's explicit policy, which disregarded the girl's feelings and privacy, repeatedly putting her in difficult positions, and disregarding her privacy concerns. The Waileses have two children who are currently in fourth grade and are scheduled to go on the same trip next year. But the Waileses do not want to be lied to again about the sexes of the students with whom their children will be rooming. Therefore, Alliance Defending Freedom sent a demand letter in late December on the Waileses' behalf asking the Colorado public school to clarify whether it will allow parents to make informed decisions for their children. Truth be told, the Waileses should seriously consider not letting their children to go on the school trip at all or consider homeschooling. ‘Hyper-vaccination' of children likely behind rise in autism and transgenderism Dr. Peter McCullough, an eminent cardiologist and prominent critic of the COVID medical establishment, provided a comprehensive well-documented presentation to colleagues regarding crimes of the “biopharmaceutical complex,” the origin of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and the causes of the hundreds of thousands of deaths from the COVID shot. Now he's pointing to studies that now show a connection between the “hyper-vaccination” of children, high rates of autism, and individuals going forward for transgender surgery, reports LifeSiteNews.com. McCullough, who has made the case that no one in the world has more authority on the topic of COVID-19 than him, provided detailed analysis of multiple scientific studies and data reports demonstrating the government's intentional suppression of effective early treatments for the virus, the best course of preparation for the projected next pandemic in nasal sprays, and how children “going natural with no shots” have better overall health outcomes. Proverbs 13:10 says, “Wisdom is found in those who take advice.” Sounds like Dr. McCullough is offering some compelling wisdom for parents today. Republican Lauren Boebert switches districts In a just-released video, conservative firebrand Lauren Boebert has announced she will switch congressional districts for the 2024 election from the Third in the west to the Fourth in the east, after scraping to re-election in 2022 by only 546 votes, reports the Daily Mail. Boebert, a 37-year-old grandmother and mother of four sons, said that she had made the decision to continue her fight against 'the socialists and communists taking over our country.' She made headlines over the summer after she was caught on camera groping her date, vaping at a performance of the musical Beetlejuice in Denver, and then giving ushers the finger when she was asked to leave and declaring: 'Do you know who I am?' She also sparked controversy by heckling Joe Biden in his 2022 State of the Union address. Boebert announced her switch of districts in a Facebook video published on Wednesday. Listen. BOEBERT: “Today, I am announcing my candidacy for the 2024 Republican nomination to represent Colorado's Fourth Congressional district in the United States House of Representatives. “This announcement is a fresh start following a pretty difficult year for me and my family. I had never been in politics before and I've never been through a divorce, something I never intended to go through. I've made my own personal mistakes and have owned up and apologized for them. It's tested my faith, my strength, and my abilities both as a mom and a congresswoman. “We have to protect our majority in the House, win the Senate, and win the presidency.” Undercover pro-life videographers lose final appeal to avoid $16 million penalty for exposing baby parts scandal And finally, pro-life activists lost their final motion to prevent a $16 million punitive judgment against them for releasing undercover videos of abortion industry insiders discussing the harvesting and sale of organs from aborted babies, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Operation Rescue made the announcement Friday concerning appeals by the pro-life investigative group Center for Medical Progress, attorney Steve Cooley, Operation Rescue's Troy Newman, and pro-life activists Sandra Merritt and Albin Rhomberg. Starting in 2015, Center for Medical Progress began releasing a series of secretly-recorded conversations with officials from Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation.  Those undercover videos set off a firestorm of controversy and a string of revelations about the abortion industry breaking multiple federal laws against profiting off human tissue, altering abortion procedures for the sake of procuring better tissue samples, and potentially even committing partial-birth abortions or infanticide.  In addition, there were video examples of abortion workers displaying callousness toward the humanity of the children they killed in their gruesome line of work. The pro-life heroes at Center for Medical Progress had done the right thing in keeping with the command of Proverbs 31:8.  It says, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” Disturbingly, neither the Obama nor Trump administrations took action against the abortion organizations over the revelations, but the pro-lifers who exposed their activities were hit with various lawsuits and felony charges on claims of trespassing, misidentifying themselves with fake driver's licenses, and recording people without their consent. Last year, Center for Medical Progress appealed the nearly $16 million judgment against them, arguing that the federal Racketeer Influenced & Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act had been misapplied. Sadly, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear that appeal in October. Governors are closing down churches all over the country. California has made it illegal to sing worship songs. And the Supreme Court recently ruled in the Calvary Chapel Dyson Valley v. Sisolak that the state of Nevada can restrict church attendance to a maximum of 50 people, but casinos and other businesses can operate a 50% capacity. This is not law. And it's a clear violation of the First Amendment. I brought my friend Troy Newman of Operation Rescue on the Saturday show I am doing on WYDE in Birmingham, Alabama. We talked about how the COVID scare has put religious liberty at risk. And we also talked about some absurd statements that an abortionist in Tuscaloosa, Alabama has been saying about God endorsing abortion. 4 reasons we need to open the economy now | The Mark Harrington Show | 4-16-20 The Associated Press published a crucially important story yesterday – but not for the reasons it may have intended. While the report focuses on the effects of COVID-19 on pregnant women, who are being frightened into abortions, and the abortion facilities that service them, it lays out a compelling case for reopening the economy as soon as possible. Today, Mark discusses with Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, why opening the economy is pro-life for the vulnerable unborn, and best to fight the COVID 19 virus. Troy says there are four important reasons why reopening the country would save lives by reducing abortions: • More women are likely to go through with their abortion decisions than before the pandemic.• Women who otherwise would not consider abortions are having them out of fear.• State orders to halt surgical abortions have been largely unsuccessful.• Abortion facilities are using the pandemic to expand webcam abortions to all 50 states, despite bans on the dangerous abortion pill distribution scheme in 18 states. In fact, to date all Texas’s twenty- four abortion centers are not committing surgical abortions because of Gov Abbott’s order (Planned Parenthood has appealed the order to US Supreme Court). As we know some of the centers may never re-open thus saving even more lives. Additionally, thirty-three states have orders banning non-essential medical procedures. Twelve of those have directly required abortion centers to cease committing surgical abortions. Planned Parenthood in Turmoil: Interview with Troy Newman of Operation Rescue | The Mark Harrington Show | 7-18-19 The abortion giant Planned Parenthood (PP) is in a “no Wen situation” after firing President Leanna Wen. According to reports, Wen was fired because she wants a more aggressively pro-abortion activist as its leader as it heads into the crucial 2020 presidential election. Her departure followed a series of negotiations that appeared to end acrimoniously on Tuesday. In a Twitter post, Dr. Wen said her fate had been decided at a “secret meeting,” which the organization disputed. She later issued a statement saying she was “leaving because the new board chairs and I have philosophical differences over the direction and future of Planned Parenthood.” She believed “the best way to protect abortion care is to be clear that it is not a political issue but a health care one, and that we can expand support for reproductive rights.” “It’s probably no coincidence that Wen was fired the day after the Trump Administration’s Protect Life Rule went into effect after the Ninth Circuit delivered Planned Parenthood a huge defeat,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “It is obvious that Planned Parenthood’s trope about abortion being only three percent of their so-called healthcare services was a smokescreen, The Board just proved that Planned Parenthood is about abortion. Recently anti-choicers Right to Life Australia held a number of forums around the country as part of their campaign against abortion. They invited Troy Newman from Operation Rescue, a notorious anti-choice group from the USA which has defended violent action against clinics and doctors.
