This bible study explores the profound connection between grace and peace, particularly within the context of Ephesians. Pastor Anthony discuss how true peace stems from understanding God's grace, not from personal achievements. Using Ephesians 1-2 as a foundation, he explains that peace with God, achieved through faith in Jesus Christ, transcends worldly chaos and anxieties. The lesson delves into the nature of peace ("shalom"), contrasting it with the world's fleeting peace, and emphasizing its cosmic implications. Key themes include justification by faith, the unbreakable New Covenant, spiritual warfare, and the importance of focusing on God's perspective rather than earthly concerns. Pastor Anthony Uvenio highlights the revolutionary concept of God as a loving Father, urging listeners to trust in God's plan and find peace through His word, citing relevant scriptures from Ephesians, Romans, Hebrews, Philippians, John, and Deuteronomy. The study concludes with a call to action, encouraging listeners to prioritize their relationship with God and find strength in His promises.#ephesians #grace #peace #spiritualwarfare #faith #christianity #reformedtheology #godspeace #biblicalpeace #jesuschrist 00:07:52 - Peace in Workplace Chaos03:48 - God's Blessings & Plan07:28 - Inner Peace Through Christ11:23:45 - God's Redemption & Peace14:52 - Peace with God & Humanity18:31 - Finding Peace in God22:01 - Faith, Not Works25:28 - God's vs. Worldly Peace32:29 - Spiritual Warfare & Armor42:47 - Heavenly Focus & Trustwww.ReformedRookie.comPodcast: https://anchor.fm/reformedrookieFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheReformedRookie Twitter: https://twitter.com/NYapologistSemper Reformanda!

In Pastor Dave's sermon, he emphasizes the importance of transforming our thought life in order to thrive in our faith and lives. Using Ephesians 3:20, he reassures that God's power works within us, challenging the congregation to overcome "stinking thinking" that hinders their growth. Pastor Dave calls for a conscious effort to capture every thought, aligning it with God's word, and encourages the audience to reject negative influences and thoughts that do not reflect their new identity in Christ. Ultimately, he advocates for a mindful approach to thinking, leading to spiritual renewal and a thriving Christian life.Ephesians 3:20 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.“Eat and drink!” he says to you,But his heart is not with you.Isaiah 55:6-7 Seek the Lord while He may be found,Call upon Him while He is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way,And the unrighteous man his thoughts;Let him return to the Lord,And He will have mercy on him;And to our God,For He will abundantly pardon.2 Corinthians 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.Ephesians 4:22-24 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

In this message, Michael shares from the book of Ephesians chapter 3 about the glory belonging to Jesus in the Church.  God has an eternal purpose. According to Paul, this eternal purpose is what was being worked out in Christ in the cross. (Eph 3:11) In a familiar verse in Ephesians chapter 3, Paul makes the statement that if God can do this— meaning accomplish the eternal purpose— that He can do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we could ask, think, or even imagine. (Eph 3:20) We should ask ourselves, “What is God's Eternal Purpose?“ (Eph 3:11) Next, we should consider, “What is the glory belonging to Jesus that is to be seen and evidenced in the Church that is directly connected to God's eternal purpose?” (Eph 3:21) God has poured out His Spirit to resource His desires. Using Ephesians, Michael details aspects of God's eternal purpose demonstrated by the Spirits power in the Church— In Part II of this message, Michael shares about— A. Jesus said we will receive power when the Spirit comes on us to be His witnesses. (Acts 1:8) - Your life is contributing an evidence towards God's testimony.  - Your life is providing a witness right now of all God said is coming at The End.  - The Church is to be viewed and experienced as the trailer, or the preview, and the full “movie” will be realized at the End of the Age. (Eph 3:10-11) B. We organize all of our Church efforts the way we do because of the Glory that belongs to Jesus that demonstrates the Eternal Purpose. (Eph 3:21) - There is power at work within us and among us that reveals God can do exceedingly, abundantly, beyond what we ask or think. (Eph 3:20) - We need to plant our lives in the EcoSystem of a way of life and realize the influence of the Spirits power to shape us and form us to make us these witnesses.

After celebrating some great stories of God doing good in the world through His people earlier in our gathering, we now turn to God's Word to explore our calling to be agents of His goodness in the world. Using Ephesians 2:10, Titus 2:11-14 & Hebrews 10:24-25 as examples, we see the consistent theme in the New Testament of God's creative work in shaping us to do good; and His creative work around us to prepare the works for us to do. When who God has made us to be connects with what God's prepared for us to do, that's our sweet spot! Our job as God's people is to be part of that creative work for each other, helping each other to become who God's making us to be and to do what God's designed us to do. We don't do that unless we are talking together very practically about life and service with freedom and frequency!

Using Ephesians 4 as a guide, we dive into what it looks like to serve a function in the body and how to do it effectively. To live worthy of your calling is to stay aware of your connection to God at all times, receiving from Him the things only He can give. But it also means developing meaningful and vulnerable relationships with others through which there is an equal benefit to everyone involved. Concluding our series over how to have healthy communication skills with others in a way that honors Christ, we finish it off with a lesson on the importance of honoring one another in our speech and conduct. Using Ephesians 4:15 as our theme verse, we dissect how we as Christians are to imitate our Lord, and grow unto maturity in every way, into the full image of Jesus Christ! More than that, we unpack how we who have been placed in Christ by faith, have been equipped in Christ through grace to live out this commission in power! But this growth can be difficult, if not impossible, if we take our eyes off of the cross, and the humility it requires to carry it as He did! Thus, in order to bear His image, we must first bear His marks of humility, and choose to take the lower seat in all things, including, in our communication with one another. For when we dishonor one another in speech and deed, in any way, our spiritual vitality is hindered and the flow of grace restricted. Fair warning, this sermon might very well cause conviction, discomfort, and irritation to the prideful heart so take heed lest the Truth of Christ offend!

Christians were called from the beginning to create a new community built on the foundation of Jesus Christ. His death, burial, and resurrection were to be our measuring stick for each and every relationship we have - especially within the community who call themselves Christians. Using Ephesians 5:22-33 as the text, Pastor Butler walks us through Paul’s thoughts on how marriage is a visible representation of that community. Join us Sunday mornings at 9:00 and 10:30 am for worship in our Main Sanctuary (9:00/10:30) and the South Building (10:30). Visit us at www.crosspointe.tv CrossPointe.
