Paul Grant Truesdell, J.D., AIF 0:02 Well, this will be the last public episode of Connecting Dots. It's been an awful lot of fun as well as a tremendous learning experience. When it comes to podcasting, well on a regular basis we've been doing Connecting Dots. But you see, it's not really ending. Instead of Connecting Dots will be limited to clients of Fixed Cost Financial. If you're interested in learning more about what we're doing, you can take a look at the show notes where we will explain exactly what's going on with Connecting Dot. Now, with that said, here's a brief summary. Paul Grant Truesdell, J.D., AIF 0:38 We examined and experimented with over 160 episodes, different ways to provide information to you and then of course of doing that we discovered that, well, some people like short other people like it long so in other words, short episodes versus long deep dives and everything in between. We took a lot of time to discuss with a wide variety of people what it is that they like and didn't like our conclusion was really simple. The overwhelming majority of those who listen to podcast like it short, sweet and to the point, and so we had to make a decision as to who is our audience and how are we going to deal with the audience. We came to a simple conclusion that most people need to have us help them in the Minting of Millionaire Mindsets as their priority and goal in life. Paul Grant Truesdell, J.D., AIF 1:33 Minting Millionaire Mindsets is something that I have talked about and developed over the course of 30 years. And so I decided I'm going to share it now with everyone. Paul Grant Truesdell, J.D., AIF 1:46 I can tell you without any doubt or hesitation that if you have the right mindset, you can achieve a whole lot more in life than if you have some other type of mindset, and again, it always comes down to a mindset. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is for people to get their act together and to understand how important it is to stay focused and centered on yourself and to understand what we call the five components of wealth. And what we have here is important. And I can tell you, it has worked for me and it will work for you. Paul Grant Truesdell, J.D., AIF 2:25 Now, if you're a client of ours, I encourage you to listen to this again Minting Millionaire Mindsets. And as a client, you're going to enjoy the exclusive benefits of Connecting Dot. Now because you're a client, you already have more than likely achieved the Minting of Millionaire Mindsets. And you'll notice that we use the word mindsets as a plural rather than as a singular because Minting Millionaire Mindsetds is multifaceted. Paul Grant Truesdell, J.D., AIF 2:57 For example, you know, we've talked a lot about physical illness and people who have no intellectual capability but the world centers on the mindset. You can be physically challenged, you can be intellectually challenged. But if you have mentored a millionaire mindset, you're going to achieve a whole lot more than those who are physically gifted and intellectually gifted. Now the key components of wealth are in the order of importance, physical, emotional, intellectual, relationships, and financial and you'll notice that the very end is financial. The most important component for most people is the one that is least important to most people again, physical wealth trumps everything. And if you're feeling physically wealthy, and you're overwhelmed by the controlling forces out there that you feel like you don't have control over always remember you control the overwhelming majority of your wealth. Paul Grant Truesdell, J.D., AIF 3:56 Now look, I get it. There are some people who are challenged at birth, there are victims of accidents, illnesses, acts of violence. But generally speaking, most people are in lousy shape because they didn't stay in shape. It's your own fault. They didn't stay in shape because they didn't Mint a Millionaire Mindset. When it comes to physical wealth, all the money in the world is not going to keep you from dying. And if you live this lifestyle, like so many do, where one doesn't do anything, well, it's pretty tough. We're going to be tough on you, but because I don't know you we're having this conversation and you're listening. If you got upset by that you've got a real problem. But I do know one thing is absolutely true. This is going to be the most powerful, impactful thing on a lot of people's lives, not Connecting Dots, that's the refinement is like taking that diamond and polishing it and cutting it into a just a beautiful marquee cut, but for now, here's the thing. It's Minting Millionaire Mindsets. Paul Grant Truesdell, J.D., AIF 4:55 In the last three to four years, I have spent a tremendous amount of time reacquainting myself with men and women from border-to-border, coast-to-coast, and all walks of life, background income, race, sex, national origin, occupation didn't make any difference. And I can tell you those who have Minted their Millionaire Mindsets, well, they make it and those who don't, don't. Paul Grant Truesdell, J.D., AIF 5:18 So Connecting Dots has been an absolute ball. But there's no doubt that we had a lot of fun doing it. And we're going to continue but it's over the head of most people, don't get upset with that. Because if you get upset with that you lack emotional maturity to get ahead and Connecting Dots is designed to challenge and really get into some hardcore issues that you got to deal with first things first, which is Minting Millionaire Mindsets. Again, we're going to restrict Connecting Dots predominantly to clients. And now with that said, once a month we'll share what we're talking about connecting dots with non-clients. There'll be a summary and you can kind of see what goes on. Now what we will not do, however, share an entire episode or segments rather, what we'll do is we'll review the highlight and concepts we talked about. And frankly, it'll be a teaser for you to become a client. Paul Grant Truesdell, J.D., AIF 6:08 So if you want to become a client, what do you do is go to FixedCostFinancial.com and follow the instructions and the way we do it, it's better because it's simple and works. Because when you have a true fiduciary in your corner that's affordable, accessible and transparent, you've got a winning combination. If you're actually in the game, and you're ready to step up and your view of yourself, yourself as a lifestyle where business is a lifestyle. Well, if you've got that mindset, and you found a home here at Fixed Cost Financial and Minting Millionaire Mindsets is ideal for those want to achieve and retain their status in life. And when you listen to upcoming Connecting Dots, the deep dives that we're going to go into you're going to say well, I'll be darned. How about that. So with that, continue with us with Connecting Dots. It's simple if you're a client. And the way we do it, it's better because it's simple and works full transparency, full accessibility and affordability. But regardless, you've got to have and continue to do what we call Minting Millionaire Mindsets. Paul Grant Truesdell, J.D., AIF 7:18 So thank you for joining us for over 160 episodes. I look forward to you joining us as a prospective or actual client as we continue this journey. We're going to make a detour now we're going to start rolling out Minting Millionaire Mindsets, the 3M podcasts are here, and it doesn't get any better than this.

Show Notes If you haven't heard about hydrogen and fuel cells before, then listen up. These technologies are bursting on to the scene and have the potential to solve some of the biggest problems in energy ranging from commercial buildings to transportation. And, while most people are more familiar with solar, wind and battery power, keep your eye on these up-and-coming technologies that could add to our nation's diverse energy mix. Here are five things to know about hydrogen and fuel cells. 1. Hydrogen is the most abundant element on earth. Hydrogen is an alternative fuel that has very high energy content by weight. It's locked up in enormous quantities in water, hydrocarbons, and other organic matter. Hydrogen can be produced from diverse, domestic resources including fossil fuels, biomass, and water electrolysis with wind, solar, or grid electricity. The environmental impact and energy efficiency of hydrogen depends on how it is produced. 2. Fuel cells can be used to power several applications. Hydrogen and fuel cells can be used in a broad range of applications. These range from powering buildings, cars, trucks, to portable electronic devices and backup power systems. Because fuel cells can be grid-independent, they're also an attractive option for critical load functions such as data centers, telecommunications towers, hospitals, emergency response systems, and even military applications for national defense. 3. Fuel cells are a clean way to produce power. Fuel cells are similar to batteries in that they produce electricity without combustion or emissions. Unlike batteries, fuel cells do not run down or need to recharge—as long as there's a constant source of fuel and oxygen. Compared to conventional gasoline vehicles, fuel cell vehicles can even reduce carbon dioxide by up to half if the hydrogen is produced by natural gas and by 90%, if the hydrogen is produced by renewable energy, such as wind and solar. There are also no pollutants emitted from the tailpipe—just water! 4. Fuel cell cars are very similar to traditional gasoline-powered cars. Similar to today's gasoline vehicles, fuel cell electric cars can have a driving range of more than 300 miles on one tank of hydrogen fuel. They can refuel in just a few minutes and the fueling experience is almost identical to a gas station. Since the “engine” (i.e., fuel cell) has no moving parts, you'll never need to change the oil. But because a fuel cell is more than twice as efficient as an internal combustion engine, a fuel cell car travels farther on that tank of hydrogen than a traditional car would on gasoline. This means you only need about half the amount of hydrogen, with double the fuel economy. 5. There are more than 30 commercial hydrogen stations in California today. More than 30 public retail hydrogen fueling stations are online in California, with plans to install 100. There are also several stations ready to open up in the Northeast. With careful planning, the focus has been to add hydrogen mostly at existing gasoline stations. These efforts are giving early fuel cell car adopters' confidence that they can drive normally and have access to hydrogen wherever they go within these regions. Efforts are also underway in Hawaii, with other markets expected to develop as consumer demand increases.

Show NotesLife isn't easy. It never has been and never will be. People become sick, injured, and die. Deal with it. Productively deal with your feelings in a positive way. Stop the pity party. Time doesn't heal everything. Instead, heal yourself by being focused on be efficient, effective, productive, and enjoying what time you have. Life is great. Enjoy it. I miss my father, mother, and sister. I am the last one standing. The pages of sadness are long gone. Mean? Cold-hearted? No. It's life. On the anniversary of a death, celebrate the good memories; ignore the bad ones. Grief is real, but do not let grief hold you back. Renegotiate new relationships. Maintain healthy relationships. Every day is a fresh start.Ask us about our Me, Me, Me Philosophy.Mentally strong people stay on track. The strong work at it. We practice, train, and fail, over-and-over, until we get it right. We know we are only as good as our worst habits; that's why we read, study, and don't let garbage get in our brain or tummy.Think about this: What are you doing to sabotage yourself? Figure it out and stop it. Develop the mental strength to deal with life's problems. Oh, and stop the pity party. You're not special, neither am I or anyone else. There's always room for improvement. Stop the irrational thinking. Balance emotions and think rationally. And it's not about acting tough, ignoring emotions, or working out till you drop. As for the non-stop BS about positive mental attitude being the cure-all, hogwash. Be realistic. Chose and develop healthy habits with focus, effort, and common sense. Watching what the professionals, not the typical talking head on the lamestream news, says about a hurricane, is exactly what true, fiduciary-based investment advisors and managers do every day. The standard deviation essentially reports a fund's volatility, which indicates the tendency of the returns to rise or fall drastically in a short period of time. A volatile security is also considered higher risk because its performance may change quickly in either direction at any moment. If two people each receive a 9% annual return, but one is unhappy, it may be the result of their focus on short-term volatility. Sam sees his money go up by 20% and down by 10%, on a monthly basis, during the year, ending at 9%. Joe sees his money settle at 9% but it's never more than 2 or 3% up or down in any one month. Sam will be frazzled. Joe, if he ignores the market and understands that he's in it for the long term, well, he'll be fine. The same with hurricanes. You need to be prepared and ready to bug out.
