"What class are you?" It's a question that Vermont Public reporter Erica Heilman has been asking people in Vermont, and this is the fourth installment of a new five-part series. Mark LaRouche grew up in a middle class family in Rutland, but says he prefers "the lower class," and he believes that addiction is the hardest class of all.

President Barack Obama and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar were not just impeccable social reformers, but they were also unprecedented leaders for their time. It is difficult to compare them, but in every regard they were constitutional experts and trendsetters.They put their theoretical education into practical organizing: President Obama organized the very first true social media presidential campaign in history; Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar created two political parties, one for the labor classes, and one for Dalits (both which represent the subaltern classes). Nonetheless, both leaders stand on the shoulder of giants whether that was Civil Rights icons as Bayard Rustin or Harold Washington or social reformer as the Buddha and FDR.They sought to live up to the values not just of the US Constitution, but also of Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity which is commonly derived by many great people in history.Moreover, they predicted and forecasted many of the problems which I outline such as the dangers of tribalism.

And then there was two. . .When Tom Steyer announced he was entering the 2020 Election, I chuckled; no one imagined his entry was anything more than an attempt to stymie the rise of Left-wing populism (the truest, and only populism according to historical evidence). When I realized, a few weeks back, how bad Mr. Steyer’s campaign was going I recorded the first segment of this podcast. Then came news that another Billionaire was entering the race, when I heard the name of this billionaire, I knew the conclusions I had spoken about in the first segment were not only accurate but undeniably prophetic. The “wealthy” in the elite are fearful of a FDR style political rebuff – in fact, their fear has evolved into down-right terror (the true meaning of the war on terror can be found in appreciating this fear). Bloomberg, who was encouraged to run for President as far back as the mid 2000s; said something very interesting in an interview this past Spring (listen to the episode to find out what he said), this statement confirms my original thoughts and reinforces my belief that we who support Bernie and a new vision for the future, must not rest on his ascension. We must capture this government, by ballot, for the next two generations, ensuring people such as Bloomberg understand this land is our land, this government is our government. Even when speaking in our mother tongue we often misunderstand each other. Due to our biases, perspectives, and background it is easy to overlay our story on just about any situation. Add in that we are dealing with translation between language and culture; it gets even trickier. In today’s conversation we explore the use of “upper, middle and lower” class herbs. This does not mean that upper is better; it means each medicinal has an affinity for more formed or less formed aspects of a person. “Upper” does not mean better, nor “lower” mean worse, these are simply demarcations on where a particular herb will be effective. It’s our job as practitioners to choose the right tool for the right job. Steven Roberts is a Pom from the wrong side of the tracks who has ended up in Australian Academia. He is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Monash University but almost very nearly didn’t finish school. Steven was chosen for a prestigious select entry government school but found the experience entirely alienating (think Barracuda) and his grades plummeted. He went from there to tech school to work and eventually, all the way to a PhD. His research interests are class, masculinity and how they intersect and on this episode we chat to him about class in Australia compared to the UK, working class masculinity and about becoming a new dad.
