In this episode we recap our epic California vacation in which we roadtripped from San Diego to San Francisco seeing all the sites and national parks!  We cover the San Diego Zoo, Joshua Tree, Disneyland, LA, Pasadena, Oxnard, Channel Islands, the beach, Sequoia, Yosemite, San Francisco, Napa, Quakes MLS game and Alcatraz!  We almost finished our trip unscathed for the most part until our teen walked in on us during an intimate moment and we'll never live it down!

Nick finally gets to tell the legend of the godly barrel-chested Egyptian who visited our church and played his guitar straight into Libby's heart.  We also celebrate the John Legend of our local church. It's our quarter-life episode and we're loving it!  In this episode, we reminisce about 90s cable tv and that time Libby bought Nick a gift certificate to  "Warm Good Time Massage 2."  We reflect on the shift in our blended family dynamic as we went from 2 kids on vacation to 4 kids back at school and us working - in short, parting is HARD. Ep 8: In this episode we celebrate Libby seeing Hamilton and Jess running a 5k with her daughter. We talk about all the festivities leading up to Christmas and Hanukkah including an epic work party to which Libby could finally wear her shiny gold dress and dance with her husband! This led Jessica to recall her dream wedding dress - you have to listen to believe! We ponder sending Christmas cards, giving our kids the same present, and justifying ourselves to our kids. Finally, Jess sets Libby straight on her favorite singer once and for all and we both relate to sometimes eating like an animal. We highlight favorites including a favorite magazine, clean makeup and a new favorite accessory.

Ep 7: In this episode we laughingly recount yet another Thanksgiving marked by mishaps, family tension, a lack of cooking and relief that we didn’t have to host. We cover the flu, our bad driving and how to remember stuff. We definitively decide that 4 kids is harder than 3 - right?! We taste test the delightful new Hardywood white wine in our mommy sippy cups. We also dive into the wacky world of dating post divorce and with kids with Libby and Nick’s origin/love story - we’re talking a personal dating service, first dates, red flags, Jesus, resumes, and ring shopping!!! We also get excited about holiday decorations and highlight some current favorites including affordable Spanx, clean makeup and sci-fi beauty!

Ep 6: In this episode we explore all the things we could afford if it weren’t for daycare, like trips to Greece and pants that cost more than $2.49, and how we’d almost always rather be at Target. We celebrate the podcast improving Nick’s opinion of Libby and what true love really looks like - there is bleach and a toothbrush involved. Even Libby's daughters are getting into the podcast game! We are also there for each other and our mom haircuts, being dumped by house cleaners and having no standards when the husbands are away - NONE. We describe our different relationships with our children and, yet, the common theme that the kids seem to be running the show way too often! We examine what not to do as a parent and finally set the record straight on whether or not Friends was better than Frasier. Jess recounts a hilarious Rosh Hashanah mishap while Libby tries to make sense of seemingly sexist comments at work. Ep 4: In this episode we celebrate Libby's kids returning home from 8 weeks in Alaska and Jess's ingenious visit with her in-laws - that is, her daughters go camping and she and her husband have wine with friends. We ponder using chore and behavior charts versus what Jess's parenting coach taught her. Then, there are tantrums...We laugh about helping our kids with their homework! Libby catches Jess up on all things Barbie: the dolls, the characters, and the different television series. In the end, Libby shows Jess that she can be a feminist AND love Barbie. We also explore the best time to have sex - is there ever one?? And we incredulously discuss Libby's baby getting kicked out of daycare! As Libby contemplates next steps, she and Jess weigh in on staying home with the kids. Lastly, we cap off the episode with our excitement over Target's 20th Anniversary Sale!

Ep 3: In this episode Libby and Jess contemplate spoiling and caring for their kids while also reminiscing about what it was like to be a young person themselves. From dealing with fake injuries to weaning a toddler, there's never a dull moment when you have 7 kids between you! We explore the feeling of the mom usually being on "baby duty" by default and struggling not to micromanage our husbands. Jess shares tips from her parenting coach about implementing consequences to change kids' behavior.
