I bring in experts, thought leaders, and others with opinions to talk about purpose, niching, struggles, community, systems, and other things that help or hinder our ability to clarify who we are and make the most of it.

A couple that effectively loves each other and holds each other accountable to be their best selves is something special for sure. Tommy and Dianne McCollister share insights and wisdom from their journey of young love, breakup, and refinding each other to create a successful relationship and marriage coaching business. Bio: We are Tommy and Dianne McCollister, Marriage Coaches. We've been married for 16 years, together for 23, we have two kids, and have been through life just like everyone! Marriage coaching is technically what we do, but in a truly unique and effective way. We often become unfulfilled from over pursuing. When we are not happy with ourselves, we can't fully show up for our relationship. What most don't understand is they think it's the marriage that's the problem, not the unhappiness that we are bringing to ourselves. You can never have a successful marriage if one or both people are unfulfilled, stressed, full of anxiety, or overwhelmed. "What does farming have to do with Love?" That was my question when I started this conversation with farmer and business coach, Missy Singer Dumars. By the end, I was clear there is much to learn about love from farming and the cycles of life that farmers know and embrace. Bio: I come from a deep tradition of entrepreneurship and business. As the 4th generation of a family-run business, I grew up with business as dinner table conversation and even started my own as early as the 5th grade! Through college, I went on to theatrical design and found myself working as one of very few women in the male-dominated industry of Corporate Entertainment Lighting, managing multi-million dollar projects including Cirque du Soleil, the Wynn Resort and Celine Dion's Caesars Colosseum. At the top of my game in the Entertainment world, I found myself with a successful career but drained and spiritually bankrupt. That is the moment when I walked away from my career, a marriage that was struggling, sold my house, and followed a calling to dive deep into a path more aligned with my values of kindness and nourishment. From that moment, I moved in to the Holistic community and now have over 20 years experience with counseling, healing, teaching, leading spiritual retreats, and event planning. To those skills, I added a wide range of experience in online marketing including certification as an Infusionsoft Consultant. Now, I bring together my holistic wisdom with my roots in business to support conscious business owners to grow their business in a way that simultaneously increases their authenticity and self-awareness. In addition to business coaching, I have a beautiful 13-acre farm in Western NY, Crown Hill Farm, where I grow heirloom vegetables, raise heritage poultry and advocate for food diversity and sovereignty. Crown Hill Farm is also a venue for groups, events & private retreats. The wisdom of nature that I live within every day on this farm comes through in my approach to business thus fostering nourishment of spirit, business, and people. I got a new microphone and felt myself instantly fall deeper in love with the idea of podcasts, interviews, and making content. In this bonus episode, I ask the question "does the right gear help with your love life?" If so, what gear do you need? If you like this exploration, please subscribe as the full episodes are dropping this week.
In the bonus episode before the new season, I talk about the idea of a high-value relationship. Lots of talk these days about "High-Value Men" and "High-Value Women". But I find it more effective to talk about the relationship we want to create before thinking about the person. So I say let's talk about a "High-Value Relationship" rather than our High-Value person.
I'm making a change. I'm switching from asking, "what's your purpose" to "what does love mean and how can we experience more of that in our lives?" This is happening because I realized talking about purpose was more an intellectual experience rather than one true to me and my purpose (which is about people loving their life). So I'm switching to the Love Launch and will be talking with experts, entrepreneurs, creatives, and other people with stories about what does and doesn't contribute to creating relations that work. New episodes coming out Friday, March 25th.

I loved this conversation with musician and trainer Patrick O'Malley because he raised an idea that I had never heard before but makes so much sense - "The Failed Beginner." I'll let Patrick explain the details but the idea Is so common. How many things have you started but stumbled at and ended up back "at the beginning"? Patrick is a musician and guitar teacher who helps students to go from never having picked up a guitar before to being really accomplished players. Many of his are retired or recovering from injury. Having researched how and why learning music improves brain health and physical health in so many ways, he is now passionate about evangelizing the tremendous benefits of learning music at any age. I had a great conversation with Fredrick Douglas Bussey where we explored the relationship between fear and joy. What I love about what Fredrick talks about s the power of bringing joy to moments when you are afraid rather than trying to overcome the fear before experiencing joy. Fredrick D. Bussey is a writer, speaker, coach, creative, and serial entrepreneur. He just published his first book, Breaking Orbit: Rip Out Of The Regular By Unearthing The Power Within! Fredrick has worked for more than 15 years in the Music Entertainment industry as a Songwriter, Producer, Publicist, Marketing Director, and Artist Manager, spanning the Hip-Hop, Gospel, R&B, and Pop genres. Having launched several businesses, including Icon Status, a digital marketing and branding agency, he is currently developing several other ventures as well. He has a strong passion for working with youth - especially those in underprivileged circumstances. Passionate about helping others to develop the skill sets to become successful, while attaining the freedom that entrepreneurship provides, Fredrick is a frequent speaker & presenter at schools and events. It is his belief that his purpose in life is helping others to discover and master their gift for their ultimate purpose. Currently, Fredrick resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife and three children. Not often do I have the opportunity to talk purpose with an X-games athlete who is also a successful and socially conscious entrepreneur. Nicole Donnelly is all of that and more. Hear how she leveraged her drive and awareness to achieve success in sports, business, and life. And how she is now on a mission to bring happiness to a billion souls. From Nicole... Selling cookies for profit as a little girl was the first in a long line of successful entrepreneurial ventures. Whether I was riding off a big jump at the X Games as a world-class professional snowboarder or launching, growing, and ultimately selling BabyLegs, a multi-million dollar international business, to a major manufacturer for a price that exceeded even my own high expectations, performing at the top of my game has always been priority one. Today, I am fiercely committed to sharing the powerful lessons learned along my journey to empower aspiring entrepreneurs to travel their own remarkable, memorable, and profitable paths to success. What I know for sure is that there is marketplace magic in finding extraordinary solutions to common problems. It's just a matter of making the right steps, taking the right risks, and being prepared to pick yourself up and keep going when things don't go your way. I met George Caceres on Clubhouse and was struck immediately by his generosity, knowledge, and experience with a wide range of areas that combine creativity and entrepreneurship. In this interview, we talk about what creativity means to him and how he has leveraged it to grow his success and perhaps even more importantly, help others achieve their own. Bio: While many individuals profess to be “renaissance men” in this day and age, George Caceres represents a genuine example of one. George Caceres is a business developer and entrepreneur, #1 best-selling author, Film producer, Creator of Vocal Star and business strategist. Raised in New Jersey as a child, George moved to Miami as a teenager, and promptly parlayed a modeling job into high-profile assignments in Los Angeles, New York City, London and Barcelona by the age of 19. George then proceeded to attend UCLA Film School, created and sold businesses, start his own company creating and directing commercials, music videos for top artists, and content for fortune 500 companies, introduce a line of personal training and gym facilities with celebrity clientele, and opened 18 performing arts centers around the world. As George's personal values and entrepreneurial skills so strongly echo those of great leaders and creative inspirations from the past, he himself has become passionate in his search to identify and develop the next generation of leaders. Through The Celebrity Experience and Vocal Star, he has helped to fulfill that promise for performers by bringing more teen celebrities to more parts of the country and the world than ever before and letting their experiences serve as inspirations for countless up and coming actors and singers. Systems are one of the most effective tools for overcoming the fears that get in our way and for making the most of our purposes. A good system provides a framework for moving forward and deepening your understanding of your purpose. Moreover, if done well, they make it easier to share your purpose. Since normalizing talking about purpose is one of the goals of this podcast, I was excited to talk with Tasha Hart as she has one of the most well-developed and approachable systems that I have seen. Tasha Hart is frequently called “The Puzzle Lady” for her ability to bring connections to your purpose and goals through her auditing process. She is the author of five books, award-winning speech evaluator, competent communicator, and your advocate for all things purpose! Welcome back to the "What's Your Purpose Podcast". This season is about overcoming fear. Knowing your purpose is one thing, but getting past the fears that naturally come up and hinder our ability to move forward. I'm talking with leaders, business owners, and other rabble-rousers about their purpose, the fears they face, and how they get/got past them. My goal is to create a safe space and a community where we can share our purposes and ask for the help we need to keep moving forward. The podcasts will foster conversations, and I hope to continue them in the "What's Your Purpose" Community." Thank you for listening, and I hope to see you there. If you would like a copy of the tool I use (the Purpose Scorecard) to help me and clients keep our purpose moving forward, you can download it here.

Great talk with Sean Woulfe and his desire to empower college graduates to find jobs and careers that fulfill them. In college I started Biz Talks, an annual event that hosts 6 business speakers in front of hundreds of students. Originally I planned to pass it on after graduating but I discovered my purpose, to empower young professionals, and Biz Talks was the perfect platform. I turned the event into a company while I started my career. I went into ecommerce to work for DesignByHumans, a large clothing brand. I rose from the bottom to 2nd in command. Eventually the company was acquired, the dynamic changed and I became burnout/unhappy. I left and took a sabbatical. Now I'm expanding Biz Talks by launching a podcast and an online conference soon to come. Teacher and Purpose Coach Clay Smeltzer joins me to talk about love, faith and family. I love his passion, energy and commitment to growth. Clay Smeltzer is a man who owns himself, loves his story, and lives with purpose. He does this as a Man, husband, father, teacher, baseball coach, author, speaker, and with his company Purpose Infused Coaching. Clay has lived a pretty normal life nothing fancy and nothing too out of the ordinary. He followed what he was supposed to follow, did what he was supposed to do but at the age of 35 sat on a couch next to his wife having a panic attack over a TV show. With everything going great around him he still felt lost, floating, ashamed, and not where he expected himself to be in life at 35. There were two roads derived in the woods and he chose the one less traveled by and that has made all the difference. Through Purpose Infused Coaching Clay now helps men reveal their purpose and create clarity in all aspects of their lives. So that they can step into their story and step up to lead as a man and in their families, careers, and communities.
