This show is dedicated to helping elevate the heroes and the helpers. And to identifying the people in our government and political arena that don't live up to either of those descriptions. From the consistent cruelty of the Trump administration's attacks on our values and, now, our allies, to our national security being continually degraded by the gutting of the Pentagon ranks, the volume of outrageousness is increasing and the hits keep coming. But every once in a while, even in Washington, there is a brave and bold individual willing to stand up for what's right. If you've listened to the show you know that the Democrats will not save you. But that doesn't mean they can't help. That they can't be a part of the solution. And that's what today's guest wants to do.  Senator Ruben Gallego (@RubenGallego) hails from the great state of Arizona. He served as a Marine, as a Congressman and now he's a Senator—and his ambitions might even extend beyond that horizon. But for now, he's taking a stand and making an impact. And most importantly, he's fighting back. Against Trump, and for veterans and the good people of his state. And before the conversation starts, Paul Rieckhoff's gonna take you on a fun and illuminating walk through historic Union Square in NYC to run through the latest chaos at Pete Hegseth's Pentagon, Trump firing Mike Waltz and crapping in Canada, the Supreme Court ruling on the trans purge, RFK Jr messing up healthcare for 9/11 First Responders, VA Secretary Collins spinning, and why the surging New York Knicks can teach America a thing or two.  It's an inspiring episode that just might leave you a little more hopeful than you were before you started. So buckle up for Episode 333 folks. And enjoy the ride. It's content for the 49% of Americans that proudly call themselves independent. Always with a unique focus on national security, foreign affairs and military and veterans issues. Independent content for independent Americans. Westen shares his brilliant insights on Trump's cognitive deterioration and discusses Democrats' strategies in dealing with Donald's behavior. Dr. Gartner and Dr. Siegel analyze recent indicators of Trump's decline, which have escalated from subtle abnormalities to outright chaos. They dissect his latest episodes of disjointed speech patterns, bizarre off-topic rants, and an inability to maintain a coherent narrative. And we'll underscore how the media has left a vacuum for independent journalists to fill by refusing to cover these issues properly.  Using specific examples, we'll assess the degradation of Trump's language skills into simplified syntax and disjointed thoughts—which stands in stark contrast to his previous style. We'll also take a look back at our hosts' early warnings about Trump, which were largely dismissed by the media and public. They lay out in stunning detail how Donald's signs of early dementia and severe personality disorder, which experts like John have been calling out since 2016, have now become undeniable. In this episode we'll also present a strong contrast of Trump's implosion with Kamala Harris's composure and competence. Against Trump's incoherence, Harris has emerged as a beacon of clarity, authenticity, and vigor - giving rise to her support among independent voters. Our hosts discuss the latest legal troubles for Donald, and highlight how his inability to accept the 2020 election results are symptoms of his narcissism and rapid cognitive decline. We'll talk about all of the recent prominent figures that have acknowledged Trump's dangers, and we'll explore some of the wild possibilities of the post-election landscape. We only have a couple episodes left before the election, so be sure to join us next week for another highly entertaining and insightful episode. Learn more about your ad choices. If it already wasn't crystal clear that Trump-appointed Judge Aileen Cannon should be removed from presiding over the prosecution of the very defendant who bestowed upon her a lifetime appointment as a federal judge, it is now beyond reasonable dispute. Judge Cannon ruled AGAINST Trump, denying his motion to dismiss the 32 espionage counts in his Florida federal prosecution, yet Trump then praised her and attacked Special Counsel Jack Smith for telling her - in a court filing - that she was wrong. However, Cannon denied the motion signaling that she will revisit it (and may very well grant it) once the trial starts, in which case Smith will not be able to appeal the dismissal.Given Cannon's pro-Trump bias, the public will never be able to have confidence in the outcome of Trump's Florida prosecution unless Cannon is removed and a fair, impartial and unbiased judge is assigned to preside over the case.If you're interested in supporting our all-volunteer efforts, you can become a Team Justice patron at: / glennkirschner If you'd like to support us and buy Team Justice and Justice Matters merchandise visit:https://shop.spreadshirt.com/glennkir...Check out Glenn's website at https://glennkirschner.com/Follow Glenn on:Threads: https://www.threads.net/glennkirschner2Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/glennkirschner2Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/glennkirschner2Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/glennkirsch...See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

For decades, Mona Charen has been one of the most prominent authors and political commentators on the right. A speechwriter for such Republican luminaries as Nancy Reagan and Jack Kemp, she worked in the Reagan White House and has written a nationally syndicated column since 1987. But while she has held fast to the principles that made her a star in the conservative movement, she believes that Donald Trump has “utterly discredited” conservatism. She is now policy editor of The Bulwark (one of the leading lights on the Never-Trump right) and host of the Beg to Differ Podcast. Mona Charen has long been critical of leftist dogma, especially what she views as modern feminism's undermining of the family and other key supports of American society. But she was also one of the contributors to National Review's January 2016 “Against Trump” symposium, noting that Trump “represents every stereotype the left has brought forth about what conservatism is really like.” Unlike nearly all other contributors to that issue, she has consistently criticized Trump — and the hypocrisy that her erstwhile comrades in the conservative movement have shown toward Trump and other bad actors on the far-right. Today, Mona Charen is still critical of the left but believes that Trump and his movement represent a more significant existential threat to American democracy. She has moved toward moderation and demonstrated a commitment to civic dialogue and civil disagreement in her writings and podcasting. Join us as we discuss her career and efforts to articulate a realistic, reasonable, responsible conservatism.

Correction: On the opening to this podcast, it states that Trump said “stand down and stand by,” which in reality Trump stated “stand back and stand by.” The first debate between the ruling corporate parties has now come and gone, with even the mainstream media agreeing that the entire event was a raging dumpster fire.... Kanye was polling at 2% nationally and it actually dragged Trump down by 1% point. Now it may sound like a bad thing for Trump but it may in fact be good.Democrats feared that Kanye was trying to "steal" black votes form Biden and if that is true then the conclusion we draw here is that Trump is actually doing better than we realize among black voters. In fact many voters fear that Trump's secret voters will come out and he will win. If Trump has expanded his secret voter base to include large portions of the black community than Democrats don't stand a chance. But its not all good news for Trump, the rage gap is real and people really do want to vote AGAINST Trump.#Democrats#KanyeWest#TrumpSupport the show (http://timcast.com/donate)

Studies Prove Google Is Swinging 2020 AGAINST Trump, Biased Against Conservatives

Studies Prove Google Is Swinging 2020 AGAINST Trump, Biased Against Conservatives. A new study from Allsides, a non-partisan media bias checking organization, shows that nearly all of the top stories from Google on recent major news are from left wing sources, not even centrist.Dr. Robert Epstein has been warning for years that Google and big tech will swing elections and choose who wins, whether on purpose or not. In 2013 Washington Post reported on the study, in 2015 WIRED Reported on the results showing it can and will happen. Recently Dr. Epstein recently testified in front of Ted Cruz saying that at minimum Google generated 2.6 Million votes for Hillary Clinton and the Democrats. There is now ample evidence that whether intentional or not Google and other big tech platforms are biased against conservatives and to a lesser extent moderates and that this will swing elections in the future. The search tends to generate left wing news outlets and news in favor of far left and social justice narratives while censoring those who speak out against establishment politics.Yet even after leaked emails, former employees blowing the whistle, and now studies backing this up the left and far left still insist that there is no evidence of the bias against conservatives. So let me say definitively, big tech and Google are biased against conservatives. Whether its an unintentional or intentional bias is irrelevant. The impact is obvious and the results are clear.Support the show (http://timcast.com/donate)

Republican Conservatives Speak out Against Trump's Reckless Signing of Executive Orders

Nicole Hemmer: "From Taft to Trump: How Conservative Media Activists Won — and Lost — the GOP"

As Donald Trump built his lead in the Republican primaries, the editors of National Review came out with an entire “Against Trump” issue, a full-throated — and ultimately ineffective — denunciation of the GOP nominee. Soon conservative media personalities were taking sides, culminating in the hiring of Breitbart’s Steve Bannon to run the Trump campaign. But the centrality of conservative media to presidential politics is not a new development. As early as the 1950s, conservative media activists were organizing third-party tickets, promoting presidential candidates, and encouraging their audiences to cast votes based on ideology rather than party. In this talk, Nicole Hemmer explains how conservative media activists won the GOP for the right — and how in the era of Trump, they lost it. Nicole Hemmer is an assistant professor at the University of Virginia’s Miller Center and a research associate at the US Studies Centre at the University of Sydney. Her book, Messengers of the Right, a history of conservative media in the United States, was published in Penn Press in September 2016. She is a columnist for Vox, US News & World Report, and The Age in Melbourne, Australia. Her writing has also appeared in a number of national and international publications, including the New York Times, Atlantic, New Republic, Politico, Washington Post, and the Los Angeles Times. She co-hosts and produces Past Present, a history podcast that launched in October 2015.

On this episode, we took some time to reflect on changes in the Jewish political landscape following the US election. We spoke with Aurora Levins Morales about her recent article in the Nation, mentoring younger Jewish activists, and putting a Trump victory into historical context. We ended the show with our usual Shkoyach segment - David giving theirs to an anti-poverty group and Sam giving his to a Montreal neighbourhood. *EDIT: at the beginning of the show, David mentioned that 70% of Jews voted for Trump. They meant to say that this 70% voted AGAINST Trump. Show Notes: https://www.treyfpodcast.com/2016/12/02/24-aurora-levins-morales/

This week National Review Magazine published a special edition with the headline "Against Trump."  In that issue, the editors of National Review along with 22 noted conservatives like Bill Kristol, Glenn Beck, Katie Pavlock, Michael Medved, and Dennis Prager made an impassioned plea for Republican voters not to nominate the brash real estate billionaire as the Republican nominee.  They look at Donald Trump's record (including his many years as a Democrat) and make a thorough case that Donald Trump is not a credible conservative. I'll have a new episode for you later in the week, but in light of all the media and the controversy surrounding this "Against Trump" issue of National Review, I am rebroadcasting my interview from this past December with National Review editor Rich Lowry.  In it we discuss Donald Trump's worse than spotty record as a conservative, his influence on the conservative movement and his role in the GOP primary, and I'll ask Rich Lowry what his late friend and mentor William F. Buckley, Jr. might think of Trump if he were alive today.  We'll also talk about the 60th Anniversary of National Review, the possibility of a Cruz-Rubio showdown, hashtag heroics in the wake of the Paris attacks, and his memories of William F. Buckley, Jr. If you enjoy this conversation with Rich Lowry, then click here to read more and subscribe to the online or print edition of National Review Magazine.
