Guest Host Julie Brown talks to Amy Baker from Movement Mortgage on this episode of Radio Real Estate.
Our next guest, Amy Baker, welcomes us into her condominium in Austin, and it's a meeting that stems from our Mental Health Today podcast. Being just a couple of cities away, we had the opportunity to connect with her in person.Amy's journey began in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and although it may not be apparent today, she was born with hip issues that could have limited her mobility. Thanks to her parents' proactive measures, including the use of braces and enrolling her in ballet, Amy overcame these challenges. Her determination and resilience didn't stop there, as she excelled in ballet and later channeled that same drive into bodybuilding and triathlons.Life took a difficult turn for Amy when, at the age of 16, she left for San Francisco to pursue a career in ballet. However, her focus on dance overshadowed her academic pursuits, leading her parents to withdraw their financial support. Feeling abandoned and losing hope, Amy fell into a period of darkness that included addiction. However, she managed to find her way back to school, demonstrating her characteristic drive by earning a doctorate in pharmacy. For eight years, Amy worked as a pharmacist, but she felt a sense of incongruence in simply dispensing medication. Recognizing the potential for other healing modalities, she embarked on a journey of self-discovery, propelled by the culmination of her third divorce.Through introspection, Amy realized that her life experiences had uniquely prepared her to become a coach—an intimacy and relationship coach, to be specific. It's a role that aligns perfectly with her desire to help others and make a meaningful impact. Amy embraces her personal growth journey and advises others to recognize the importance of their dreams. By fully embracing and showing up for their dreams, they not only inspire themselves but also become an inspiration for others. Her prescription for living authentically is to consistently show up as your true self, day after day.Join us as Amy takes us on a profound journey through her life, shared through the lens of The Jar. Her story serves as a reminder that life's challenges can be transformative, paving the way for personal growth and the pursuit of dreams. Amy's authenticity, strength, and passion for helping others shine through, leaving an indelible mark on our listeners. Slam the Gavel welcomes Attorney Brian Ludmer and Lynn Steinberg, Ph.D. to the podcast. Attorney Brian Ludmer is a Canadian attorney whose practice focuses on cases involving high-conflict custody battles, denial of parenting time and Parental Alienation, as well as high net-worth financial disputes. He is also a business and securities law attorney with over 35 years of experience. Attorney Ludmer's book, "The High Conflict Custody Battle," which he co-wrote with Dr. Amy Baker and Dr. Michael Bone in 2015, is a resource that has been of assistance to countless families. Attorney Ludmer has spoken about Parental Alienation world-wide. Lynn Steinberg, Ph.D. has worked with families and provides a four day reunification therapy. She has also written the book, "You're Not Crazy: Overcoming Parent/Child Alienation." Dr. Steinberg is an expert in Parental Alienation for eleven years and and an Expert Witness in Parental Alienation. We discussed the recent spectacle of a video of children being allegedly forced against their will to a "reunification camp," and the outlandish and unsupportable comments by "One's Mom Battle" and "Center For Judicial Excellence," regarding family court and Parental Alienation. A therapeutic reunification program, where the alienated parent and child meet from 10:00am to 4:00 pm, helps with getting the alienated parent and child to talk to one another to discuss their differences as well as past memories. At the end of the four days they leave reunited with that parent. There is a high success rate with this intervention. The judge had ordered that the father bring the children to the courthouse, however he did not do this. Assisted Interventions went to the house to get the kids and physically picked them up and put them in the car to go to Dr. Steinberg's office. The father had orchestrated a scenario that created havoc for not only the children but the school and neighborhood. The four days had gone extremely well for the mother and children, but the two "hate" groups came in to play, calling Dr. Steinberg's reunification therapy a "Concentration Camp." An Anti-Semetic slur at best by individuals that aren't even educated in the realm of Parental Alienation. Why weren't these children simply directed by their father? This could have gone smoothly. When children behave in this manner, this doesn't come naturally and apparently they were clearly put up to it, Attorney Ludmer states. Attorney Ludmer discussed that reunification therapy is extremely helpful to families as children need both parents, provided there is no abuse, and the children can see both sides of their family and generations will thrive and not be ruined and remain dysfunctional by the alienating parent. There are two sides to a coin. To just observe a video with comments by individuals who aren't educated in the dynamics of Parental Alienation as well as the case, should just keep the unprofessional comments to themselves and not egg on teenagers making uneducated comments on TikTok.To Reach Attorney Brian Ludmer: brian@ludmerlaw.comTo Reach Lynn Steinberg, Ph.D.: lynnsteinbergphd@gmail.comSupportshow(https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)http://www.dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.com/Support the showSupportshow(https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)http://beentheregotout.com/http://www.dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.com/

Today, we'll be discussing the case of a young woman reported missing after failing to return home from a visit to her aunts. Two days after she was last seen, family members searching the area where the girl's abandoned vehicle had been located, discovered their missing loved one's body. Decades later, after a seemingly lackluster investigation took place, the girl's family continues to press on, hoping for justice. Dr. Amy Baker, PhD. author, researcher, and court expert joins us today to talk about parental alienation. There is nothing more hurtful than a parent turning their child against the other parent. This can go on for years when children are forced to align with one parent, and are subjected to endless smear campaigns about the other parent. Dr. Baker discusses why parents do this, the likelihood of a parent who engages in this behavior having a personality disorder, and the consequences of the parents behavior on their child long-term. Although we often host authors and speakers, most of our very favorite episodes are those with women who are incredibly nervous to share their stories with us because of their humility and tender hearts. Today's guest definitely fits that mold. Amy Baker is Clarksville famous for loving on others through her baking. She shows up with a fudge pie or other delicious treat during times when many of us have no idea what to say or do. Amy is too humble to call what she does ministry, but Hannah and I would have to argue. That is exactly what it is. We hope that by hearing our conversation with Amy you might think of how God wants to use your gifts to love others well. Meet Amy Baker, owner of Amy Baker Architect out of Michigan. A masonry advocate, she shares with us her favorite tools to use, one of her most memorable masonry projects as well as a special trick that makes planning on coursing so much easier!
Listeners, I am so excited to introduce our guest speaker Amy Baker. Amy is a “soloprenuer,” CIO (Chief Innovation Officer) of SPRY brands, and just received her Masters in Organizational Leadership! Having grown up in the Midwest, Amy attended Taylor in Indiana with her high school sweetheart and graduated with Taylor's first Computer Graphics Art Degree Major. Amy has always rejoiced in having freedom and paving her own way, which manifested in her self-designed degree and has since been seen in her chosen profession. After graduation, Amy took a full time position with her college job and after realizing she needed to grow more she veered into Project Management and team leadership. Thereafter, she built a multi-million dollar brand at a consulting firm, navigated into independent consulting, to end in the creation of SPRY brands! Amy Baker's story is one of not being afraid to rock the boat or settle. It illustrates the story of a woman that grew into her self-awareness with the support of her “group of advisors” and found this ultimate ability to pivot.
