In the first half, author and filmmaker L.A. Marzulli updated his work on the interplay between supernatural phenomena, UFOs, biblical prophecy, and what he calls "rungs of disclosure" (view related trailer). One such rung on the ladder of disclosure, was when Commander David Fravor discussed an encounter with a UFO on Tucker Carlson's show in 2017. Fravor had said, 'Whatever this is, is not from this Earth,' which Marzulli considered a "game changer" in the discourse surrounding extraterrestrial life. He also discussed whistleblower Jacob Barber's testimony. Barber claimed he worked on a secret retrieval mission involving a giant egg-like object. Marzulli expressed concerns that Barber had become possessed by an entity in connection with his work with aliens. The conversation shifted to NASA's reported hiring of priests to prepare for potential extraterrestrial contact. Marzulli commented, "They know that something's in the wind," implying that this move is part of a broader narrative of impending disclosure about UFOs and their implications for humanity. He also raised alarm about alleged alien abductions and a breeding program, asserting that these entities have a nefarious agenda. "I believe these are not our friendly space aliens," he stated, reinforcing his view that the abduction phenomenon ties back to biblical narratives about fallen angels and hybrids.Marzulli also touched on the recent LA fires, and how the disaster brought back a bout of PTSD for him, as he had previously lost his home in a different Southern California fire. He shared that he'd had his house built back using innovative fire-resistant materials developed by the company GigaCrete.------------In the latter half, San Diego-based psychic Loren Cielo shared his unique journey into the world of past lives and metaphysical understanding. Elaborating on the concept of past lives, he explained that they are not bound by traditional timelines. "All of our lifetimes are happening at once," Cielo stated, suggesting that what we perceive as past lives may actually be future experiences from our higher selves' perspective.Speaking of the Akashic records, he compared it to a vast library, where each soul's experiences are cataloged: "Each lifetime is a book on the shelf, and each page in the book is a contract." A soul contract, Cielo detailed, intertwines with our free will. "Everything that happens to you, your Higher Self has contracted in with other higher selves," he explained, emphasizing that while we have choices, some events, like the pandemic, are agreed upon collectively.Discussing clairvoyance, he described it simply as "using your sixth chakra to sense energy... you can see energy that looks like a color or has a name." With 18 years of experience, he finds joy in conducting readings, likening it to "putting a puzzle together." One of Cielo's most fascinating readings involved a woman experiencing solar plexus pain linked to a past life as an Ascended Master or goddess in another civilization, showcasing how past life experiences can resonate in the present. During the last hour, he gave psychic readings for callers.

In the first half, history professor and author William R. Forstchen spoke about preparedness, hardening the energy grid, and what we can learn from recent disasters, including the flood in North Carolina and the LA fires. Recounting his harrowing experiences in North Carolina during Hurricane Helene, he said there was major devastation, such as in the town of Swannanoa, which was "totally wiped out." Though he was without power for three weeks, he noted that that would be "nothing compared to what could happen if there's an EMP attack." Elaborating on the dangers of electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attacks, he explained that they can be triggered by a nuclear detonation or a solar flare. An EMP would blow everything out within a second, affecting everything from high-tension power lines to aircraft in flight. He pointed out the alarming fact that many components of the US electrical grid are over 40 years old and in desperate need of modernization and strengthening. We have become so dependent on electricity, what happens when it no longer works? He urged listeners to consider their emergency preparedness, particularly regarding food and medication supplies. He expressed frustration over the lack of preparedness despite significant investments in green energy, arguing that the government spent billions, but the money should have gone into developing infrastructure. He is hopeful that the new presidential administration, along with local representatives, will turn their attention to protecting our electrical grid. On his property, Forstchen said he had a number of tall pine trees removed near his house that was luckily completed before the hurricane.------------In the latter half, author Marc Hartzman shared accounts of the weird and unusual, as well as presented his research on the fascinating practice of sword swallowing, documented in his new book "To the Hilt," co-written with sword swallower Dan Meyer. The project began seven years ago when Meyer, who has been swallowing swords for 25 years, approached Hartzman with a wealth of historical information about the art. Meyer's motivation to become a sword swallower stemmed from overcoming childhood bullying. The practice is absolutely genuine with rigorous training involved, and sword swallowers must master techniques to suppress their gag reflex and navigate the esophagus safely, Hartzman explained. He also recounted tragic historical incidents, including the story of Maud D'Auldin, who died after a blade nicked her esophagus during a performance. Among the strange stories he presented was that of Jim the Wonder Dog, an extraordinary "psychic" canine who could identify various tree species and even predict Kentucky Derby winners by selecting them with his paw. Hartzman detailed the chilling tale of the Phantom Barber of Pascagoula, who infamously cut the hair of young girls during World War II. "Parents were locking their windows at night, terrified of this hair-cutting intruder," he said. Additionally, Hartzman touched on the history of Ouija boards, noting their rise in popularity during the spiritualism movement of the late 1800s. He recalled a disturbing incident where a mother allegedly instructed her daughter to shoot her father after consulting a Ouija board. The daughter reportedly did so, though the father survived the shooting.

Send us your thoughts! Swedish jazz virtuoso Ebba Åsman has announced the forthcoming release of her third full-length record When You Know. The new album arrives March 21st, 2025 via Dorado Records.Coinciding with the announcement of ‘When You Know' of the upcoming album are the joint first singles - the title track ‘When You Know' and ‘No Answer'. The pair of songs channel the feelings that came into clarity for Åsman during her time in the woods: the stresses of not knowing where you're headed, sensing that you're losing grip of the life you've built, drowning in the infinite questions that swirl around in your head – and ultimately, accepting the uncertainty of it all. The latter track has been described as the turning point of the album, where acceptance of the circumstances begin to prevail.Coming off of a Swedish Grammy (GRAMMIS) nomination for her 2023 sophomore album ‘Be Free', live showings at North Sea Jazz Festival and London's Ronnie Scott's and an appointment as one of Yamaha's brand ambassadors, the trombonist, songwriter and producer sought to quiet the noise around her and challenge the jazz genre's rigid rules for her next project. The end result is ‘When You Know'; a smoky and melancholic 10-track cocktail of jazz, alternative R&B, indie, Hip-Hop and ambient sonics that experiments at every turn. On hand to co-produce the record and provide the electronic elements that move ‘When You Know' away from the jazz world and into more avant-garde territory, Ebba collaborated with Berlin-based producer Lucy Liebe. Packing a potent emotional punch into a running time of just 31 minutes, the 10 tracks are a reflection of Ebba herself: direct, driven, precise. Retreating to a cabin outside of her small hometown of Hammarö, 200 miles west of Stockholm, she recorded the album in the dead of winter. With the temperatures outside nearing minus-thirty degrees, Åsman logged off for a month – disconnecting from TV, social media and emails. Embracing with vigour both the deep sense of calm and the challenges that come with the cold but also the stillness and solitude that is yielded being in the wilderness.Though this is Åsman's third studio album, it will be the first time she's singing on record. An important statement and moment of transition for Ebba. Elaborating on this further she said: “If you're singing, you are the closest you can be to your own expression but I wanted to first be respected as an instrumentalist. If you're a woman and you tell people you're a musician, everyone assumes and says “Oh – so you're a singer?”. ‘When You Know' will mark the moment on which Ebba Åsman's exceptional gifts are finally crystallised. At age 7, she began learning trombone and by 15, she won a place to study the instrument at the Södra Latin School in Stockholm. The renowned hot-house for Swedish talent whose alumni include Lykke Li, Yung Lean and the prolific hit songwriter Max Martin. But when she moved to the Netherlands to study at the Rotterdam Conservatory of Music, she began to push against the constraints of formal learning.  Self-identifying as a “jazz rebel”, rather than being preoccupied with the theoretical and mechanical aspects of jazz, Ebba operates from a mode of pure intuition and feeling. At just 26, ‘When You Know' finds Åsman continuing to push the boundaries of jazz through the two distinct sides of her musical self: the notes she conjures from the trombone and now, her voice.Support the show

Reflecting on his past, he admitted, "I abused it," acknowledging that many who struggle with gambling often fail to recognize when to stop. Riback described the allure of gambling, particularly his love for blackjack, which began at a young age. "I was enamored... not just for the money... but I love the math behind it," he explained. He cautioned that while gambling can be entertaining, it becomes problematic when individuals lose control. He advised setting limits, recommending that gamblers treat their budget as an expense for entertainment, akin to a night out. "If you go with 200 bucks," knowing you're not going to see it again, "that's a great attitude," he said. But when people take out their credit cards or have a credit line established, "that's when the trouble begins." Riback also highlighted the growing prevalence of gambling through online platforms and sports betting, which he believes complicates the landscape. Ultimately, while a small percentage of gamblers face issues, the majority enjoy gambling responsibly. He pointed out that denial is common among problem gamblers until the consequences become unbearable for them. Riback concluded with a message of hope for those struggling, urging them to seek help.------------In the latter half, C2C's investigative reporter Cheryll Jones shared her interview with ufologist Craig Campobasso, who delved into the fascinating world of different extraterrestrials and hybrids visiting Earth. Claiming there are "82 extraterrestrial races that have either visited us, are visiting us, or are living and working here as hybrids among us," his research includes first-hand meetings with contactees and a deep dive into decades of MUFON archives. Elaborating on the concept of hybridization (the mixing of human and alien DNA), he said "Earth has been speculated to be an experimental laboratory for extraterrestrials." He told Cheryll that both good and bad exist within every alien race (including Greys, Reptilians, hybrids, and Nordics), and urged listeners to "judge the individual and not the race."Campobasso posited that the ancient Lemurians (and other human races) currently live underground or in the "inner Earth" and travel in subterranean bullet trains from one end of the planet to the other in a short amount of time. He also touched on the enigmatic "Men in Black," suggesting they may be connected to covert government operations or even extraterrestrial forces like the Draconians. On the topic of extraterrestrial technology, Campobasso explained that many ships are driven by the consciousness of their commanders, stating, "Their own DNA was actually put into the metal of the ship." He has concluded that such advanced technology is now in the hands of governments.During the last half-hour, George featured an excerpt from his 5/26/21 interview with historian Richard Dolan on UFOs and disclosure.

The recent developments in the financial market in the United States suggest a daring stance. The US appears to be gradually undermining the very foundations that maintain the dollar as the world's reserve currency. Spearheaded by prominent figures such as former President Donald Trump and finance analyst Jack Smith, this shift in policy could indicate a substantial global financial statistic.Since the Bretton Woods conference in 1944, the dollar has held the position of the world's predominant reserve currency. It has served as a consistent measure of economic stability, allowing countries to protect their financial health during turbulent economic periods. However, recent decisions and market policies, piqued by major US figures, may destabilize the traditional financial supremacy of the US dollar worldwide. Donald Trump, known for his unconventional approaches to policy during his tenure as president, played a significant role in this radical shift. Under his administration, financial regulations experienced countless revisions, each tweaking the currency's international status. His economic strategies often hinted at a subtle depreciation of the dollar's global significance, stirring up conversations around financial sovereignty and monetary independence. In parallel, finance analyst Jack Smith has been continually vocal about the implications of this alteration in global finance. Smith, an authority on financial matters, has shed light on the necessity for a diversified global financial landscape. Elaborating on potential ripple effects, Smith implies that a shift away from dollar-dependency could yield more equitable economic growth for both developed and developing nations. However, it is worth noting that this provocative stance is not unchallenged. Financial experts worldwide express varying views on this issue. While some see it as a chance for financial emancipation, others express concerns over potential disruptions in global trade, finesse of economic sanctions, and secure global banking systems. It is without a doubt that the dollar's reign as the world's reserve currency could be under threat, largely attributed to a significant shift in policy by key figures such as Donald Trump and Jack Smith. As the world watches on, only time will tell the trajectory of this provocative turn in global economic practices. As the US dares the world to find a dollar alternative, it is encouraging nations to reassess their dependence on the US dollar as the global standard. The implications of this shift, though undeniably substantial and potentially disruptive, maybe what the world needs for a more balanced economic future. Undoubtedly, this is a window of opportunity towards revamping the global financial architecture for the better.

Governor Ron DeSantis voices the necessity for intervention from the federal government against student demonstrators advocating for pro-Hamas, which is causing heightened distress at some northeastern universities known for their prestigious Ivy League standing. The Governor emphasized that administrators of the justice and education departments under the Biden administration appeared indifferent towards the escalating antisemitism on university grounds. According to DeSantis, it's time for these departments to pressurize universities to maintain an environment of respect and tolerance, while reviewing the student visas of those supporting radical organizations such as Hamas. As ivy-covered halls of elite institutions including Columbia University have played host to an increased number of pro-Hamas protests, Governor DeSantis expressed grave concerns. Speaking at a recent media event, he unveiled his perspective, saying, 'In our current system of higher education, especially in the institutions based up north, it seems like the students are the ones controlling the narrative, rather than the other way around.' He reasoned that the student-led actions are thriving because they do not face any significant challenges or consequences. 'These student activists are confident that they can continue their approaches without facing penalties. However, let there be consequences for such actions, and you'll promptly see a shift in their attitude,' opined DeSantis He juxtaposed the inaction or negligence of the federal government to combat the negative cycle of hate against the effective measures Florida has implemented across its state-run universities. He highlighted how strong conduct codes have kept the fabric of the educational community strong in Florida, reminding that the right to protest must coexist with others' rights to a peaceful academic environment. 'Here in Florida, all our universities adhere to a conduct code,' the Governor expressed. 'While the right to voice one's opinion is upheld, any form of harassment against fellow students based on their faith or ethnic heritage is unacceptable. You cannot single out individuals for attack because of their religious or ethnic backgrounds.' DeSantis posed an argument stating that if these protestors are international students on educational visas, there should be serious repercussions. He suggested revoking their visas and insisting they return to their home countries. This would ultimately serve as a strong message to dissenters. Elaborating on his comments regarding consequences, DeSantis said that serious disciplinary action should also be imposed on American scholars. 'If American students transgress the established code of conduct, they should face expulsion. Implementing stringent actions will eventually result in the necessary change,' stated the Governor. The esteemed Columbia University has been deeply affected in recent times, transitioning all on-campus classes to an online platform in light of the elevated threat induced by these demonstrations. The prestigious institution's leader, President Minouche Shafik, delivered a nuanced perspective on the situation. She clarified that the disruptive actions were not orchestrated by Columbia students but instigated by outsiders who ventured onto the campus to promote their own agendas. This stance firmly distinguishes the University and its students from those partaking in the controversial demonstrations, One of Columbia's academics, Professor Shai Davidai, expressed a firm stance against the demonstrators at a pro-Israel rally held in Central Park. 'There are students and faculty members at Columbia University who blatantly appear to be endorsing Hamas,' he lamented. He also criticized Columbia's administrative body for not efficiently managing the crisis. According to Davidai, Columbia's administration is not actively attempting to control the situation, and is even barring police from gaining access to campus in an attempt to maintain order. He said, 'Columbia's authorities are willingly permitting potential disruptors to trespass and concurrently denying the city's law enforcement the opportunity to intervene.' Davidai did not spare top city and state officials including New York City's Mayor Eric Adams and New York Governor Kathy Hochul. He accused them of being complacent, voicing concerns over the lack of initiative to protect the intellectual sanctuary and its scholars. He eagerly called out that it was high time for rooting out all forms of extremism. 'The task of eliminating any support for terror and those who endorse it in America is of paramount importance,' Davidai concluded.   Real News Now Website Connect with Real News Now on Social Media Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/RealNewsNowApp/ X Twitter: https://twitter.com/realnewsapp Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/realnews/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@realnewsnowapp Threads: https://www.threads.net/@realnews/ Tumblr: https://www.tumblr.com/realnewsnow Truth Social: https://truthsocial.com/@RealNews YouTube:https://www.youtube.com/@realnewsnowapp End Wokeness: https://endthewokeness.com #realnewsnow  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Early this week, Joe Biden, the incumbent president, made a public commitment to address the debt burden of student loans affecting a significant percentage of Americans. His resolution is to tailor solutions that, if rolled out, could lead to the erasure of student debt for an additional multitude of struggling individuals. As he relayed this information on Monday, President Biden indicated that this initiative, if executed efficiently, could result in the forgiveness of loans belonging to a staggering 30 million borrowers. In his assertion, President Biden emphatically vowed that he would not shy away from efficiently exploiting every available means to ensure those cumbered by student loans gain the much-needed relief. This recent pledge serves as an affirmation of this determination, as a vast number of beneficiaries stand to experience significant financial relief if these novel strategies are operationalized. Simultaneously, the Biden administration circulated a press statement clarifying the broad strokes of the newly proposed initiative. The release explained that the new propositions aim to extend debt relief to over 30 million American citizens. This number is echoed when factoring in previous efforts by the Biden-Harris administration to halve the student debt crisis over the course of their tenure. Elaborating on the announcement, Biden took to video to clarify his administration's commitment to these efforts. He expressed that, since his first day in office, his administration has been steadfast in their dedication to rectify the flawed student loan structure and ensure that access to higher education becomes a stepping stone to middle-class status rather than an obstacle.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Rather than adhering to the subpoena that called for his private deposition, Hunter Biden opted for a different route, offering to testify on a public platform. Initially, he was scheduled to appear at a closed-door deposition at 9:30 a.m on the same Wednesday. Rescheduling his intention, Hunter Biden then decided to communicate his standpoint via a public announcement on Capitol Hill, making his grievances known. Elaborating further, Hunter Biden declared that his father was in no way financially tangled in his business endeavors. This included his collaboration with Ukrainian natural gas company, Burisma Holdings and his Chinese investments along with several others based in the U.S. In his own words, Biden said, 'There exists no evidence to back claims of my father's financial participation in my business owing to the simple fact that such an event never occurred.' Louisiana's House Speaker, Mike Johnson, recently offered some disquieting news for President Joe Biden as the President's campaign for reelection in 2024 starts to accelerate. Speaking in a weekend interview on Fox News, Johnson, a Republican, claimed that he is confident in possessing a sufficient number of Republican votes to set in motion a process of impeachment against Biden. Johnson pointedly suggested that while he doesn't anticipate any Democrats to participate in the initiative, he firmly believes they should lend their support. Moreover, Johnson portrayed the impeachment inquiry as a 'required measure' during the interview. 'At this point in time, it's an obligation we need to fulfill,' he stated. Elaborating on his and Rep. Elise Stefanik's previous involvement in defending Donald J. Trump against the Democrat's impeachment attempts, he asserts that the current scenario is starkly different. In Johnson's perspective, Republicans are the ones deeply committed to upholding the legalities, and thus must act in an orderly, methodical fashion. In recent times, the President's administration has found itself under close scrutiny from Republicans in the House due to allegations surrounding his family's foreign business affairs and purported misuse of the government machinery. As per Johnson, those spearheading the investigations into these claims have consistently faced obstructions from the White House.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Could Chad Daybell's desire for courtroom cameras offer insight into his mindset or simply be a strategic move? The trial of Chad Daybell, set to follow the much-publicized proceedings of Lori Daybell, is stirring up just as much media frenzy and public speculation. As discussions continue about allowing cameras in the courtroom for Chad's trial, a recent episode of the "Hidden Killers" podcast featured insights from retired FBI Special Agent and Chief of the Counterintelligence Behavioral Analysis Program, Robin Dreeke, on this and other related matters.    In the previous trial, Lori Daybell had cameras banned, but the current debate centers around Chad's desire for them. Tony Brueski, the podcast's host, shared that "Lori didn't want the cameras in this case. Chad actually does want the cameras in there. The prosecution does not." The natural question that arises: Why a difference in preferences between the two defendants?    Dreeke mused on the matter, referencing Chad's background: "He worked at a cemetery, he went to Brigham Young, he wrote books." He proposed that Chad might perceive himself as a "compelling figure," driven by the charisma he shared with Lori, forming their so-called mini cult. "He may think he's more compelling than he actually is," Dreeke stated.    Elaborating on this, Dreeke further speculated on Chad's potential motivations. "If he's trying to sow seeds of doubt in a jury or also the court of public opinion, which is why you'd have the media in there, he might think he can do that." Yet, he quickly added a counterpoint, observing, "Lori was the real charismatic person behind the little mini cult they had."    When probed about whether Chad still maintains his confidence or belief system, Dreeke responded, "I think he's probably still believing in it." He touched on a concept called "self-serving bias," which might explain Chad's perception of his own importance, even in light of the serious charges he faces.    However, the trial's strategy remains uncertain. Dreeke mentioned that Chad's defense might pivot around painting Lori as the main instigator, contrasting her seemingly chaotic life with Chad's more stable background. "When did his life arc change? It's when he met her," Dreeke observed.    It remains to be seen whether the courtroom will become a stage for "passive-aggressive mudslinging," as Brueski suggested, with Chad's defense possibly turning the tables on Lori. Dreeke concluded by noting the potential difference in the defense strategy for the two, emphasizing Lori's past surrounded by "life and death" while Chad's past was comparatively quieter.    As the trial's commencement looms and speculation mounts, the public, like the jury, is left to grapple with myriad unanswered questions.    Will the decision on courtroom cameras truly impact the outcome, or is it merely a window into the psyche of a man caught in a whirlwind of controversy? Step into the dynamic realm of litigation finance, where the heartbeat of law intersects with financial ingenuity. In this revealing episode of "The Heart of Law," our adept host, Mirena Umizaj, collaborates with expert strategist Jacob Cantrell, Co-founder, and Chief Risk Officer of Rocade Capital, to explore the intricacies of strategic legal financing. Drawing from their respective expertise, they clarify misconceptions surrounding litigation financing, explore optimal client structures, and distinguish between various business models in the legal sector.  With over 17 years of experience in financial services and the energy trading market, Jacob Cantrell has left an indelible mark on the industries he's been a part of. Having served in key executive positions at the Commission Exchange and EDF Trading, he has consistently been at the forefront of innovative strategies, particularly developing new asset classes in deregulated power and gas markets. Moreover, Jacob Cantrell has served as the vice president of the Community National Bank in Texas, where he spearheaded the creation of a loan review department and collaborated closely with the board to maintain outstanding asset quality. Guided by his visionary leadership, Rocade Capital has achieved remarkable growth, managing asset quality risks, optimizing returns, and providing an impressive $900M+ in funding since 2014 to law firms pursuing complex litigation growth capital.  As the conversation unfolds, Jacob Cantrell presents an encompassing view of litigation finance, from conventional commercial litigation finance to loans tailored specifically for law firms. Intrigued by his expertise, Mirena delves deeper into Jacob's transition from a community-focused banking role to navigating the intricacies of energy trading. However, it wasn't until he encountered litigation finance that he discovered the "missing piece" that enabled him to effectively merge his skills with his deep-rooted desire to assist individuals in accessing justice. Prompted by Mirena's curiosity about potential misunderstandings, Jacob addresses the prevailing misconceptions surrounding litigation finance and underscores the critical role of trust between capital providers and law firms. He candidly points out that while barriers to entry are low, true long-term success demands a deep understanding of the law firm's operations, from case acquisition to settlement processes, fostering genuine partnerships where both parties prosper mutually.  Drawing from his experience, Jacob sheds light on Rocade Capital's flexible loan structure, emphasizing a commitment to backing law firms embodying a growth mindset, client focus, and a data-driven approach. For him, it's not merely about amassing cases; it's about law firms envisioning leadership roles within their legal sector, fueled by strategic investments in their people, processes, and technology. Mirena extends the dialogue by discussing the evolving business mindset within the legal profession, noting the challenges firms face in predicting their performance. She emphasizes the transformative impact of litigation finance in addressing "growth pains" and enabling firms to sustain and predict their trajectory. Concurrently, Jacob underscores its pivotal role in ensuring access to justice for the average American, allowing law firms to take on cases without upfront costs and challenging the notion that legal representation is exclusively for those who emerge victorious. The conversation effortlessly transitions into the details of litigation finance, encompassing liability assessment, diverse evaluation processes, and various business models. Elaborating on this, Mirena presents the concept of a sustainable business model, prompting law firms to measure their value proposition against the overarching goals of the legal industry. Moreover, as the conversation comes to a close, the focus shifts to the emerging equity structures and evolving landscape in Arizona, where Mirena and Jacob express a cautious yet observant stance, recognizing the potential for a more robust equity structure that incorporates legal and financial aspects.

Kansas City Prosecutors charge a store employee after a fatal altercation following an alleged shoplifting incident.    A recent altercation at the O'Reilly Auto Parts store in Kansas City turned deadly when a 23-year-old man, Diamond Steen, allegedly attempting to shoplift, was strangled by a store employee. The incident has led to a significant criminal charge, highlighting the potentially dire consequences of taking the law into one's own hands.    On the evening of Sept. 19, a call was made to the Kansas City Police Department regarding a disturbance at the O'Reilly Auto Parts store located on Parallel Parkway. The caller informed the police dispatch that two men were allegedly shoplifting from the store. This led to a confrontation outside the store premises between the alleged shoplifters and the store employees. By the time the police arrived on the scene, they found one man unresponsive, necessitating immediate CPR. Unfortunately, efforts to revive him failed, and he was declared dead on the spot.    The deceased individual was later identified as Diamond Steen. Another individual, involved in the incident and bearing minor injuries, was promptly transported to a local hospital. He is now in stable condition.    Wyandotte County District Attorney, Mark Dupree, in a public announcement on Sept. 21, confirmed the arrest of Carl Kemppainen, a 39-year-old employee of the store. Kemppainen has been formally charged with second-degree murder. Elaborating on the seriousness of the charge, Dupree stated that Kemppainen is accused of unlawfully and intentionally causing Steen's death. He further specified that the act was committed "recklessly," showcasing "extreme indifference" towards Steen's life.    An autopsy report solidified the narrative of the fatal confrontation. The findings determined that the cause of Diamond Steen's death was strangulation, categorizing the manner of death as a homicide. The gravity of the situation was captured in Dupree's words: "The deceased's airway was completely stopped, and that ultimately caused his death."    This incident has now opened a legal can of worms. Dupree mentioned the possibility of additional charges not only against Kemppainen but also other O'Reilly employees involved in the altercation. The ramifications of this event have the potential to extend far beyond just one individual.    The severity of the charges brought against Kemppainen is evident in the potential sentencing. If found guilty of the charges, he faces a prison term ranging from 109 months to 493 months. In simpler terms, Kemppainen could be incarcerated for approximately nine to 41 years. As of the latest reports, Kemppainen remains in custody at the Wyandotte County Jail, with his bond set at a hefty $125,000. Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? Will Thomas Randolph Beat His Murder Charges Again?

In a recent episode of the podcast "Hidden Killers," host Tony Brueski sat down with retired FBI Special Agent and Chief of the Counterintelligence Behavioral Analysis Program, Robin Dreeke, to dissect the intriguing psychological makeup of Thomas Randolph. Known infamously for the mysterious deaths of four of his six wives, Randolph's past and behaviors present a perplexing enigma for crime analysts.    Randolph, often termed the 'Tiger King of true crime', has continually maintained his innocence regarding the deaths of his wives. However, his past conviction, although later overturned on technicalities, casts a heavy shadow of doubt over his claims. Dreeke, providing insights based on his extensive experience, noted, "He is a horrendous, fascinating human being. He likes really outlandish experiences."   A striking point of contention is the financial aspect. Randolph appears to have no clear source of income, leading many, including Dreeke, to believe that his livelihood is built upon insurance money obtained posthumously from his deceased spouses. "I don't think he has a living except killing people for their insurance money," stated Dreeke.   Dreeke was particularly taken by Randolph's interviews and demeanor, observing that the man shows no evident distress or change in affect, regardless of the context – be it a discussion of death, his potential culpability, or even the possibility of his own death. This flat affect suggests a potential disconnect with emotions that are usually associated with death or accusations of murder.   One of the most discussed pieces of evidence was a video where Randolph leads the police through a vivid reenactment of the crime scene. Dreeke commented on this, saying, "His body language was extremely congruent with someone describing an actual event." However, he was quick to note the inconsistencies between Randolph's dramatized narrative and forensic evidence.   Elaborating further on this display, Dreeke introduced the idea of 'method acting': "Method acting is you are, you've actually experienced the things that you're playing out, but you're modifying the details to a degree that you believe them." Randolph's act seems to be a blend of reality and fiction, making his account seem genuine, albeit misleading.   Dreeke pointed out another fascinating trait of Randolph's – his tendency to remain distanced from the actual act of murder. "He seems to like to be distanced from the death itself, yet like to be close enough, I think, for the novelty of it," Dreeke analyzed. This behavior starkly contrasts with many serial killers, who often seek intimate involvement in the act of killing.   In examining Randolph's ability to continually draw people – especially women – into his orbit, Dreeke mentioned, "He's got reps in manipulation, charisma, and showmanship." He also highlighted Randolph's skill in selecting his victims, which isn't limited to potential spouses but extends to individuals he manipulates into committing crimes for him.   In conclusion, the complex character of Thomas Randolph, with his unique blend of charisma, manipulation, and dark intentions, makes for a chilling study in true crime. As Dreeke aptly summed up, "He's literally, he's an entertainer. He is entertaining himself and he is entertaining everyone who wants to watch him." Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE?
