Free learning series - coxautoinc.com/thecompleteprofitpicture Join us in this insightful episode as we sit down with Jade Terreberry, Senior Director of Strategic Development from Cox Automotive Group to delve into the findings of their 14th annual car buying journey study. Jade shares valuable insights on the evolving landscape of automotive retail and consumer behavior. In this episode, Jade emphasizes the importance of every touchpoint in the car buying process, highlighting the significance of timely and relevant communications. With the average consumer receiving three trade value offers, the spread can be as wide as $2,000, underlining the need for a sophisticated buyer experience that values data and research. Gone are the days when the focus was solely on the right car at the right price. Today, consumers seek personalized communication and relevant content, even in virtual interactions with brands and dealerships. Some customers prefer self-guided research and the flexibility to engage at their own pace, whether in person or remotely. Jade sheds light on the concept of "distance retailing," where customers are willing to travel beyond their local market for the right experience and information. With a shortage of used cars on the market, the emphasis is on having experts with rapid response times and efficient communication channels to meet consumer expectations. Trust is paramount in today's car buying journey, with consumers expecting seamless interactions and quick access to information across various touchpoints. Jade highlights the importance of adapting sales approaches to align with modern consumer preferences and ensuring a non-linear, streamlined experience that resonates with today's tech-savvy buyers. Tune in to discover how Cox Automotive Group's insights can help dealerships navigate the changing landscape of automotive retail and elevate the customer experience to new heights! The root word of "ignorant" is "ignore". I'm "ignorant" about a lot of things like calculus, electricity, plumbing, nuclear physics......But too many car buyers ignore the really important aspects of a car deal. They don't understand what the unscrupulous salesperson is actually up to when they switch the buyers focus to the monthly payment, and the innocent ends up getting ripped off.The dictionary defines ignorant as: "lacking knowledge, information, or awareness of a particular thing."The favorite prey (as in fresh meat) of a dishonest car salesperson and/or a dishonest dealer organization is the ignorant car buyer. Listen to this podcast....it is educational and it is insurance against the most common rip-off in the car industry.Email Lennie at mycarguru2020@gmail.com
I like most new car dealers....partly because I AM ONE and because most are good, honest businessmen and women trying to run a business. BUT, there are some bandits out there and they give all car dealers a bad name. Sometimes it's just some bad characters who work for good dealers (there are bad apples in every bunch). So, what is an innocent car shopper to do?Some pundits are calling for the end of the current dealer/factory model and going to direct sales like Tesla.I'M NOT THERE YETLennie Lawson, a real-live new car dealer and a CAR GURU, has some tips and techniques to give the CAR BUYER the advantage against a predatory car salesman/dealer. This week was really hard. I did a big, brave thing. (I bought a schoolbus to convert into a mini-home)I made a big, hard mistake. (The schoolbus turned out to be a lemon and I lost $10,000)And I learned some big, hard lessons. (Well, you're just going to have to listen to the episode to hear about that!)I am so grateful that I had this conversation with Hannah and Kelty of Upbringing a few weeks before I had my terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week. In this conversation, we talk about how the most important thing that you can do as a parent or caregiver is to regulate your own nervous system to model to little humans how to become friends with their own nervous systems. This is so important because when we grow up, we come up against big, brave things; big, hard mistakes; and big, important lessons and our nervous systems are the vehicle that we ride to help us through these inevitable moments in our lives. In this episode, we will learn about: Reclaiming the terms “spirited” and “sensitive” as reflections of our childrens' nervous systems working and adapting perfectly to their environmentHow to teach your child how to befriend their nervous system Parenting your child to focus on the Self rather than the opinions of the external world Why conflict feels unsafe for both parents and children and how we can normalize struggle and create security around challengesListen to this episode if...You are a parent to a spirited and sensitive child OR you have a sensitive and spirited Inner Child you are reparenting Your Speakers:Kat Lee is an Intimacy + Relationship Coach, host of The Empowered Curiosity Podcast and Creator of The Heart Lab. We Help a Used Car Buyer Find a Cool SUVThis episode is a follow up to episode 2 where we introduced Nic Bodiford and his search for a used 4-wheel drive SUV under $8K. Nic followed our five simple, yet essential rules to find a cool use car, truck or SUV at a great price, and he ended up doing just that after only a couple of weeks of searching. He began his search looking mainly for a Toyota 4Runner in the 1998-2002 model year range. He also looked at Isuzu Troopers and Rodeos, the Mitsubishi Motero and the Rodeo-based Honda Pilot in a similar model year and price range. Most of these were 6-cylinder vehicles, but he ended up finding something just a little bit different with a V8! 00:00 - Show Open and Introduction I reintroduced Nic and his search for a cool SUV, plus I gave a quick rundown and review of how Nic used the 5 essential rules to find a cool used 4x4 SUV at a great price. 04:15 - Nic reveals that he bought a first generation 2002 Toyota SequoiaNic goes into detail on why it fit his needs. He talks about how he had considered a 4Runner of the same vintage and was looking for specific features including 4-wheel drive with dual range (high/low) transfer case, vehicle stability control (VSC), Active Traction Control, etc. The Sequoia has all these features and is a garaged, one-owner SUV with 177,000 miles, excellent interior and exterior with extensive maintenance records highlighted in the CarFax. 08:00 - It's got a 4.7-liter V8! 08:20 - "Post Purchase" InspectionNic took it in for a post-purchase inspection and found only a couple of very minor issues, but overall the Sequoia is in excellent condition cosmetically and mechanically. 09:20 - The PriceThe asking price was $7,000, but Nic negotiated down to $6500 and with tax & license paid $7200 total. Gary said the Sequoia was probably worth at least $2000 more based on what he's seen for sale in recent months. 10:45 - A One-Family-Owned SequoiaThe owners were great and even gave Nic back $50 to fill the tank with gas (say, but with today's gas prices, $50 hardly fills my Miata!). 11:20 - A Picture is Worth a Thousands Words, But An In-Person Inspection is Priceless. Gary said that Like many car ads, the Sequoia looked good in the pictures displayed in the ad, but it looked even better in person and only had a few minor blemishes on the exterior that can be easily touched up. Some cars look worse in person, so seeing it with your own eyes is essential. 12:40 - There's an Arrow In ItNic tells the story of one 4Runner he looked at while car shopping that had a steel arrow shaft and feathers for a radio antennae. 13:45 - The Best and Lowest Priced Used Vehicles Last A Day... Maybe.Nic mentioned that he learned from this experience that cars in this price range sell very quickly and that you have to drop what you're doing and go see a car you like immediately if you want to have a chance to buy it. 14:36 - Cars Outside Urban Areas May Take a Little Longer To SellNic thought that since the Sequoia was about a 45-minute drive north of Seattle, the time/distance may have kept it on the market longer than a vehicle in this condition would normally be available. 15:00 - Search In As Wide An Area As PossibleGary recommends searching a wider area when looking for a used car - even looking in adjacent states. He then tells the story of a car he bought from someone in Salt Lake City and how he flew out and drove it back on the same day. 20-hour Fly & Drive Road Trip! 15:50 - Do Your Research To Know What You WantGary asked Nic if he had learned anything he...

Today on Top 30 - Kristin reveals the top mistakes to avoid when buying a car, why an old famous Christmas tune is now controversial, and office holiday party regrets are more common than you think!
Andrew’s profession is that of a Mercedes Benz Buyer. He purchases used cars for a Mercedes Benz dealership so the vehicles can be resold with the intention of a profit being made. Before Manifest 10K, he was doing this for about 3 months and purchased 3 cars. He held higher expectations for himself. He even had a few months with no sales. At this point in his life, he was focusing on what wasn’t working. Old Story: Hopeful: Naturally Held Good Expectations About Money New Story: Money is Everywhere & I Am A Blessed Money Allower BUYING INCREASED FROM 3 TO 23 IN 90 DAYS Andrew always expected good things would come in life but never really looked at his money in the way he learned in Manifest 10K. Now that Andrew has amped up his money vibe in working with me, he sees money more often and holds a very positive expectation of how it shows up in his life. OPENING UP TO MORE ABUNDANCE When Andrew enrolled in the course, he only knew a little about my work from a few podcasts. Andrew loved the daily assignments that shifted his money vibe as well as everyone else’s in the group too. He thoroughly enjoyed the course and how it made him think about money. Within 90 days, he manifested 22 or 23 car purchases and he got paid a buying commission and a percentage on the profit of the sales. About half of these cars he purchased have sold with a good return. When I asked Andrew why he joined the course, he said, “He wanted to open up to more abundance and have an easier time dealing, thinking and working with money”. IS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH MONEY FUN? Andrew loves scripting because it was open ended in what he could create. He also loved an exercise I had him do to hide money so that he could randomly find it. He loved the feeling of finding money everywhere. Money became fun! There is money here, there and everywhere. WHAT SHIFTED FOR ANDREW? Andrew found himself being more centered and excited about money. After working with me in the Manifest 10K process, he saw more possibilities, received more abundance & money, and overall he is more grateful and appreciative of all money. A take away he had was that when we celebrate money, we’ll attract more of it. This is so true! HOW HAS MANIFEST 10K HELPED? He learned that a process I call scripting can apply to anything, not just money. So he has been applying it to all areas of life. This has returned joy, ease, happiness and a nice flow of good things in his life. ANDREW’S ADVICE FOR MANIFESTING It is always as easy as we allow it to be Follow those who are successful Check out my books, courses for simple, effective tools Notice what is working in your life as that will attract more things that work too Keep your focus up and keep doing the work and you’ll get what you want ALLOWING MORE MONEY IN There are always times when people are doubtful and wonder if things are working or not. An ebb and flow of in and out of focus is normal. When Andrew gave his full attention and emotional feelings to the course, he attracted more. Despite some minor moments where he lost focus through the course, Andrew knows that overall he is more blessed and is now regularly allowing money into his life. HOW DOES CELEBRATING OTHERS SHOW UP IN YOUR LIFE? Collectively in Manifest 10K, we all notice what is working amongst us and seeing each other succeed in life and abundance is what it is all about. Andrew loved how the entire Manifest 10K community interacted so powerfully with each other. One of the things he learned in the course, was to use his abundance journal to keep track of his success. This is a great tip for learning to attract more. Andrew can be reached at http://mbbrampton.ca if you want to know more about his experience. ENJOY THE SHOW?
