The root cause was an inadvertent tenant configuration change in Azure Front Door that bypassed safety validations due to a software defect. Microsoft’s protection mechanisms failed to catch the erroneous deployment, allowing invalid configurations to propagate across the global fleet and cause HTTP timeouts, server errors, and elevated packet loss at network edges. Recovery required rolling back to the last known good configuration and gradually rebalancing traffic across nodes to prevent overload conditions.  Some customers experienced lingering issues even after the official recovery time, with Microsoft temporarily blocking configuration changes to Azure Front D

Or Die? Rebirthed mabe? Either way, it's not a great place to end up.  On Tuesday they announced the acquisition of Kubecost, a FinOps startup that helps teams monitor and optimize their K8 clusters, with a focus on efficiency – and ultimately cost.  This acquisition follows the acquisitions of Apptio, Turbonomic, and Instana over the years.  Kubecost is the company behind OpenCost; a vendor-neutral open source project that forms part of the core Kubecost commercial offering.   OpenCost is part of the Cloud Native Computing Foundations cohort of sandbox projects. Melissa Denny is a wife and mom from Brighton, CO.  She teaches literacy at a K8 school and has a 6yo daughter and 3yo son.  She is an avid endurance runner and has completed 5 marathons and hopes to complete her first ultra marathon this fall.  Her Intermittent Fasting journey started over a year after she had her son and was struggling to lose the baby weight through diet and exercise and felt like she was out of options.  She had heard about Intermittent Fasting years ago and never thought she could do it let alone be successful with it.  Over 2.5yrs later, she is down over 50lbs and continuing to follow an IF lifestyle.  She also supports several IF and running related support groups on FB and via her personal IG page.
