In this episode, Steve Fretzin and Chelsea Williams discuss:Why personal finance is so key to living a healthy, balanced life. The formulas for success at your firm and as an individual. The most common mistakes lawyers make around money. Tips for taking control of your money today. How to stay on top of your finances. Key Takeaways:Watch out for lifestyle creep. It doesn't matter how much you make if you keep spending more than you bring in. Track your money. Having a personal budget is not restricting, it is setting a financial boundary. There are only two ways to change how much money you spend: you can trim the fat (even if it is just a rogue subscription) or through negotiating your expenses. It is the small things that bite into your spending. The biggest takers are Amazon, software, and subscriptions. Ma' wife is a badass and has always been, this past weekend we sat down and spoke about the accidental entrepreneurship journey that we found ourselves on with the creation and growth of FROPRO snack bars. We spoke about the beginning, highs/lows, successes and failures. Chelsea spoke about her journey in embracing the responsibility of the CEO position. One of the most awesome decisions she made was to do some work on herself after experiencing what is known as imposter syndrome. She took a massive leap by taking the time off from her daily life to look inward during a week long retreat at the Hoffman process. There were many takeaways but one of the biggest successes was learning to acknowledge her weaknesses and turn them into a superpower. A shift in perspective and taking action. It's awesome for me to watch her change, grow and operate our business on such a high level. She's a badass woman who gets it done and grateful to watch her wield her superpowers every single day. Check out the podcast and reach out to Chelsea @chelsealaurenwilliams on insta or email her at chelsea@fropro.com if you have any questions about her experiences with anything you heard. Have a most triumphant day!
