Veda Austin is a water researcher, public speaker, mother, artist and author. She has dedicated the last 10 years observing and photographing the life of water. She believes that water is fluid intelligence, observing itself through every living organism on the planet and in the Universe. Her primary area of focus is photographing water in its ‘state of creation', the space between liquid and ice. It is through her remarkable crystallographic photos that water reveals its awareness of not only Creation, but thought and intention through imagery. Veda brings a message of hope and joy from the very source of life itself, she says “Water is transparent, it knows no colour, creed or religion. Water does not judge, nor does it label, it will enter the body of an ant as easily as it will enter the body of a king, or a homeless person or a tree or a dragonfly. ___________________ PODCAST CHAPTERS 0:00 - Introduction & Prayer with Water 1:50 - Veda Austin on Current Excitements 3:38 - Impact of Water on People's Lives 7:11 - Is Water an Extraterrestrial Life Form? 12:14 - Veda's Conversations with Water 19:21 - Origins of Veda's Journey with Water 32:43 - Water as a Mirror of Emotions 49:10 - Future Discoveries in Water States 59:51 - The Spiritual Aspect of Water 1:09:21 - Water's Sense of Humor 1:16:59 - Visual Journey Through Water Imagery 1:22:47 - Water as the Root of Language 1:25:19 - Facial Recognition in Water Crystallography 1:28:09 - Water Reading Future Events 1:30:52 - Symbolism and Hydro Glyphs in Water 1:34:49 - Water Responds to the Name Yeshua 1:41:13 - Understanding Hydroglyphs and Their Meanings 1:45:26 - Water's Communication with a Disabled Child 1:48:42 - Healing Power of Liquid Crystal Medicine 1:54:41 - The Mystery of Thought Materialization 2:00:38 - Homeopathy and Water's Memory 2:05:55 - Water's Self-Healing Through 5G Exposure 2:12:00 - How Water Sees Humanity 2:18:48 - Healing by Proximity: The Power of Free-Range Eggs 2:20:08 - Closing Reflections on Water and Humanity ___________________ Guest: Veda Austin | Water Researcher Website | https://www.vedaaustin.com/ Veda's Freezing Techniques | https://www.vedaaustin.com/shop Veda's UK/EU Tour | https://www.vedaaustin.com/event-list Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/vedaaustin_water/ The Living Language of Water Book | https://www.vedaaustin.com/vedas-book Host: Emilio Ortiz Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/iamemilioortiz/ Subscribe to YouTube Channel | https://www.youtube.com/@EmilioOrtiz Watch Emilio's latest series on 4biddenknowledge TV l https://bit.ly/AwakenThe6thSense ___________________ Special Offerings to Support the Show: ✦ Make a One-Time or Recurring Donation on PayPal

Show notes: https://www.tamihackbarth.com/blog/episode-241 Happy back to school aka new year! While I love the fresh start energy of a new school year, it also brings a deep feeling of anxiety. Will the teacher like my kid? Will the teacher be fair? Will the other kids include mine and be kind to her? The second day of kindergarten was the first time I got a behavior call from school and I have spent every beginning of the school year since educating teachers and administrators about disabilities and disability rights within the public school system. We have had to learn about special education laws and disability rights all while raising our little firecracker. Sometimes I feel like the universe had this kid in mind for me because what else would explain my past work as a lobbyist, a public school teacher AND a coach? These jobs gave me the skills to go to bat on her behalf. But not all families have the time, money, expertise or experience to help their students. This is lonely work for parents of kids who don't fall into the school system because of learning and thinking differences. A lot of times we parents share similar struggles as our kids. Between me and my husband we have 36 years of direct classroom experience. AND THIS IS STILL A MYSTERY. The education system needs help and no place is that more apparent than in special education. If your student needs an IEP or a 504, uses a wheelchair or other medical equipment or has ADHD you have to know a whole lot more stuff than parents who never deal with special education. The craziest part of this is so much of special education is settled law. It should be this hard to access services legally required for students under settled law, right? Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) guarantees students with disabilities free and appropriate education was passed in 1975 and updated in 2004. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was enacted in 1990 - 34 years ago. Why is this still such a struggle? I recently asked my friends, neighbors and former teacher colleagues what they wished everyone knew about special education. They came through… everyone feels like every single part of the system is set up to fail. I just discovered our school district has been under scrutiny since 2017 about their failure in special education. They have been involved in lawsuits and are just now trying to get it sorted. Needless to say I will be throwing in my two cents because this has been a shitshow. People who aren't directly involved have no idea how much extra work we are all putting in trying to sort out a complicated and confusing process. It is a privilege to not have to advocate for your student. People who live this every day are exhausted and anxious because we all want the same thing for our kids: a quality education that will help them be lifelong learners. This isn't the last you'll be hearing from me about systemic changes in education, but I did want to share a resource I found. Of course I immediately checked this out from the library, devoured the contents and then reached out to the author to be a guest on the podcast. Meet Kelley Colman. Kelley Coleman is a feature film development executive turned author and advocate for parent caregivers and individuals with disabilities. Her book Everything No One Tells You About Parenting a Disabled Child: Your Guide to the Essential Systems, Services, and Supports draws upon over a decade of experience, including her own experience parenting a child with multiple disabilities. Kelley lives in Los Angeles with her husband, two boys, and her son's trusty service dog. Who can you share this episode with? Does anyone you know know a student with thinking and learning differences like ADHD, autism, dyslexia or other learning difficulties? Do you know a family that has visible disabilities? Do you know a teacher, principal or school board member? Please pass it on.

Brooke talks to Emma, the mother of a disabled child, about her experiences and insights. Emma shares her journey from pregnancy to raising her daughter, Dottie, who was born on her due date. She reflects on the challenges of navigating the healthcare system and advocating for Dottie's needs. Emma discusses the importance of authentic representation of disability in media and the power of storytelling. She also touches on the struggles of self-care and the emotional toll of advocating for her daughter in various settings. KEY TAKEAWAYS Advocating for a disabled child in medical settings can be emotionally challenging, but it is crucial to ensure the child's needs are met and their voice is heard. It involves being confident, determined, and prepared to stand up for what is best for the child. Authentic representation of disability in media and storytelling is essential for empowering individuals and changing societal perceptions. It is important to tell untold stories and showcase the diversity within the disabled community. Balancing self-care with the responsibilities of caring for a disabled child is crucial. Recognising when to take a break, setting boundaries, and surrounding oneself with supportive individuals are key aspects of self-care for a parent carer. Questioning assumptions and biases about disability is important in advocating for a disabled child. It involves resisting harmful tropes, advocating for authentic representation, and challenging conflicting opinions from professionals. BEST MOMENTS "I think when she was first born. For the first sort of five months, we were in and out of hospital a lot. And it wasn't like we were told in that time, oh, she's disabled, or she has this condition, or it was sort of a really weird mix of what's happening, panic, sort of worry." "I've definitely sort of evolved my thinking and perception of disability as a direct result of being Dottie's mum." "I think it's about having those conversations that you wouldn't necessarily normally have with your friends down the pub. Because actually, they're not going to be the ones that necessarily grow your mindset." "Sometimes some people aren't able to be saved. That is not a you problem, that is a them problem." VALUABLE RESOURCES https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/disabled-and-proud/id1621152878 HOST BIO Disabled and Proud is the show that brings listeners a different perspective on disability. When you have a medically complex child, you probably have some realization that the experience you have with your child isn't “typical.” But sometimes, it's hard to understand just how different from the “norm” it was, until another child comes along – particularly one without disabilities or medical complexities. In this episode, Brianna, a mom of disabled son who went on to have another nondisabled child, joins me to discuss how vastly the experience has been from one child to another. We also play audio clips from listeners as they share their own grief, joy, and insights that came up for them after having a nondisabled child after their disabled child. And we end the episode by reiterating the honor and privilege it is to be able to raise our nondisabled and disabled children alongside each other, while still the conflicting emotions that come up for us. This episode is so poignant and full of so many thoughtful reflections. Don't miss it! Having grown up with a sibling (my twin brother, to be exact) who has autism was one of the biggest things that ever happened to my family. In the 80's and 90's, there weren't that many resources available for parents who had kids with disabilities. My parents did the best that they could in raising us, but there were a lot of struggles. Now that I'm a mother myself, I can only imagine all of the days and nights they worried about my brother and his future as they looked for therapies and support. My brother has been a major blessing in our lives, and I believe he has taught us more than we have taught him. Thankfully, our world has progressed and is doing a lot more for disabled people and their families. Today's guest even wrote a book about parenting a disabled child and what parents need to know. I'm excited for you to listen to this episode. In my opinion, it's not just for parents who have disabled children. This episode is something everyone should listen to. Who is Kelley Coleman? Kelley Coleman is a feature film development executive turned author who is active in the disability advocacy community. She serves on committees for Children's Hospital Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Unified School District, and Canine Companions. Her book Everything No One Tells You About Parenting a Disabled Child: Your Guide to the Essential Systems, Services, and Supports stems from her own parenting experience, giving parents the tools to spend less time navigating the stuff and more time loving their kids exactly as they are. Kelley is a mom to two amazing boys, one of whom has multiple disabilities (including a yet-undiagnosed genetic syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, CVI, epilepsy, and more). She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, two boys, and her son's service dog. What Did We Discuss? In this episode, we're chatting with Kelley Coleman about everything you need to know about parenting a disabled child. As I mentioned, having a twin brother with autism, this topic is very near and dear to my heart, and it was a great conversation. We can't wait to dive in with our guest today, Kelley Coleman, author of “Everything No One Tells You About Parenting a Disabled Child”. No joke, this is one of the best books on autism and parenting disabled kids we've ever read! We talk about the book and venture into other topics including: The “Go Home, Google, and Cry” method isn't the only option anymore Invisible vs. NOT visible vs. visible disabilities. Say that three times fast. The cost of “Cognitive Labor”, this is a big one “Parent” and “Caregiver” are two different jobs. You didn't know you were doubly employed, did you? Best takeaway: Find a place for a victory, no matter how small. It makes a difference! Buy Kelley's book: Everything No One Tells You About Parenting a Disabled Child It's going to be available as an audiobook too, read by Kelley! Kelley's Instagram Kelley's Website

Gypsy Rose Why Were Men 'Attracted' To What Appeared to Be A Disabled Child In a recent episode of the "Hidden Killers" podcast, hosts Tony Brueski and retired FBI Special Agent Robin Dreeke delve into the complex and controversial life of Gypsy Rose Blanchard. Blanchard, who has recently been released from prison and is the subject of a new Lifetime docu-series, has become a focal point of public attention. Her story, marked by severe child abuse and a high-profile legal case, raises profound questions about the nature of victimhood, love, and the search for normalcy under extraordinary circumstances. Brueski expresses his unease about Blanchard's situation, particularly her decision to marry while in prison. "There's just so many points on this that just hit the creepy ick factor with me," he says, reflecting a sentiment shared by many who have followed Blanchard's journey. Dreeke, with his background in behavioral analysis, offers insights into the psychological aspects of such relationships, noting the unusual nature of Blanchard's husband's attraction to her, given her portrayal as a special needs child. The podcast explores the complexities of Blanchard's psychological state, her husband's motivations, and the broader societal implications of their relationship. "I'm glad the school fired him," Brueski remarks, referring to Blanchard's husband, a former special education teacher who lost his job due to his involvement with her. Dreeke agrees, highlighting the deviation from standard normal behavior in this case. The conversation also touches on the broader theme of seeking redemption and healing through relationships. "Recognize unhealthy behaviors. You know what to avoid," Dreeke advises, emphasizing the importance of cautious optimism in such situations. The hosts discuss the role of Blanchard's family, who were not supportive of the marriage, and the influence of external factors like media attention on her decisions. Brueski and Dreeke draw parallels between Blanchard's case and other high-profile cases, noting the potential for manipulation and exploitation by the media. "How much of it was producers sitting there going, 'You deserve love, Gypsy,'" Brueski wonders, questioning the authenticity of the narrative being presented to the public. The hosts express hope that Blanchard's family will provide the necessary support and guidance as she navigates her new life outside prison. "Hopefully, they're close enough in their relationship to set guardrails around her," Dreeke says, highlighting the importance of maintaining open communication and trust. As the episode concludes, the hosts leave the audience with a lingering question: Can Gypsy Rose Blanchard find true healing and stability in her life, or is her search for love and normalcy a prelude to more tragedy? Blanchard's story continues to challenge our perceptions of love, justice, and redemption, compelling us to ponder the complexities of the human heart and the paths it chooses to follow.
