Alex Ross studied illustration at the American Academy of Art, then honed his craft as a storyboard artist before entering the comics field. His miniseries Marvels opened a wider acceptance for painted comics. In 1996 he produced the equally successful Kingdom Come for DC Comics. Ross is the writer/artist of the award winning Fantastic Four: Full Circle. Steve Darnall first worked with Alex Ross on the Human Torch story that served as the inspiration for the award-winning 1993 series Marvels. Steve served as a consultant on the movie Being the Ricardos and Ken Burns's documentary Country Music. It's been a long time since we read any Alex Ross but today we decided to take a look at his newest book, Fantastic Four: Full Circle, a story exploring some of the FF's past with the Negative Zone. Alex Ross abandons his painterly for something a little different, and he also wrote this book too! As for trailer news: Pops finally saw the trailer for the Woman King, the new Wednesday Adams Family TV-show trailer looks so stinking fun, and Netflix also released the first teaser for The Glass Onion. For bingeing, Big Pops watched Monty Python: Almost the Truth on Netflix ,and has been watching all of the LOTR movies, and is still really enjoying SheHulk. Gray Man, Crazy Rich Asians, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, The Sandman TVshow on Netflix, Summer of Love. Sis is still watching Game of Thrones and is now onto Season 2; She's also watching Gravity Falls and Death Note. We briefly talk about The Rings of Power, but no spoilers here. Then, Pops shares his pull list! This week he introduces us to Poison Ivy Issue 4 by DC; SheHulk Issue 4 by Marvel; as well as Twig Issue 5 by Image.
